You probably got the true ending. >restore the ring >go to the shrines >spare the big bad at the end
That's all you have to do.
Also Chloe is the only girl whose epilogue explicitly includes having kids.
You don't spare him, you banish his soul to the afterlife- which is explicitly what he DOESN'T want. He's obviously not going to heaven, you consign him, Baltro and all their shitty minions to hell. It's nice.

Meteor Slash, like Astra in Fire Emblem, is a fricking meme against anything but scouts and elves who you need to burn their evasion. Swordmasters not having the scout designation makes using it usually not worth it.
I'm really not a yurigay, but 99% of the cast is Alainsexual. It's barely an argument when all of Ochyls' other comments are Sharon-focused.
I know it's a losing stance in these threads, 'they're just a couple of besties' and all, but like come on.
Probably more like the area prospered as people bought textiles seeing them as exotic goods. Then they move there. Really it’s not that different than say Japan.

Japan could and probably still can feed its population were it to one day be completely isolated. People were starving in the Drakenhold desert before Gloucester started lobbying for them in Soldraga and got resources brought in.
Sucks how most people probably never even bother watching these, the maiden getting more lines compared to the few they get in the Baltro scene really helps make the scene more satisfying.
Sucks how most people probably never even bother watching these, the maiden getting more lines compared to the few they get in the Baltro scene really helps make the scene more satisfying.
How do you even get this scene? This is totally not what happened when I played the game, does it depend on what choice you make with Alain beforehand or is it something else?
>kill galleries and he possses you >purify his soul gets you the baltro fight
Yeah I see. I picked purifying him since I figured the butthole would come back from the dead anyway if I just killed him, but I didn't think it'd happen right then and there, on the spot.
Virginia.
She literally moves on right afterwards and is the only maiden to end up with someone else. She was also planning to kill Alain if he didn’t measure up
>just finished The Witch's Word
goddamn that was grueling
I ran out of valor near the end and also ran out of item uses so I had to figure out how to rearrange my units on the fly to actually get past that stupid fricking shield
she also spawned on the southern gate which I'd left undefended, which meant she got the viking and 2 wyvern masters which was a real pain to get through -- the first time I did it I used valor and items to get through them but didn't have squads configured properly to do it raw
I'm guessing your problem is stamina. Are you only a few teams, anon?
Some anons here swear on having a few strong squads, but personally I've always found having a full line of backup units to just hold territory or hold the line saves stamina for your main teams. The game, even on TZ, isn't hard enough that you'll have issues keeping multiple teams leveled, and an underrated part of the game's design is that its xp gain is incredibly elastic, so having a few teams just means wasted xp once you reach the point of overleveling.
I already finished the game, why do people keep miss-reading this? >enter mission either at-level or slightly under >fight 500 furries at the garrison >come out at the level cap
Yeah and we're all trying to speculate on why you had to bloody well grind when the game gives you more than enough resources not to have to do it, not telling you what to do in the present.
>why you had to bloody well grind
I'll break it up into bite-size pieces for you
I didn't grind
because the rat
throws 50 squads at you
on a fixed trigger
so unless you fly past everything
you come out at level cap
before hitting the halfway point

>All these anons are misunderstanding my post >did I word it in a misleading way? >No, it is everyone else who is stupid
Why would you need to grind? >fly over mountain >claim outpost >drop someone on the base to defend >deal with the 5 enemies in front of the boss >win
I had a couple squads that went the intended way and they spent most of the fight dodging catapult shots, hiding in forests to avoid assist fire and then soloing the horde of wolves at 0 stamina, but I could have ended the mission way earlier if I avoided 100% clearing the map
You probably got the true ending. >restore the ring >go to the shrines >spare the big bad at the end
That's all you have to do.
Also Chloe is the only girl whose epilogue explicitly includes having kids.
only chloe
My chole epilogue said she became my chambermaid and went to soldiers reuinons to hear stories, as well Alain goes there too.
That means Chloe's kids are Alain ones because I married Eltolinde? Will they inherence the throne because the are 100% humans? Why i don't have kids with Eltolinde i want to plap plap impregnate her.
Also I remembered that Gilbert Impregnates Virginia and they have a boy
Chloe becomes a Lady-in-Waiting. While a lady in waiting could be a king's mistress, her duties are more like a secretary's. Since you married Eltolinde, it doesn't imply Alain has sexual relationship with Chloe. You can plap plap impregnate her all you want and your kids will inherence the throne. Cornians seem to only dislike having commoners from the desert as queen.
They probably don't mention kids in every ending for the sake of variety.
>all these endings that talk about "the restoration of Feverith"
My dude, every single town and castle are flourishing
They set off fireworks and everything, the continent is as good as new, all it cost was a bit of wood and assorted fish

i had no trouble running it down with mainly fun bestral teams
Post your teams anon. If it's your first playthrough or you don't play strategy games much, you just might have missed important items or rule interactions.
I've been struggling hard since leaving Elheim. Bastorias was more of a return of the difficulty I was used in the first two zones but Albion is another fricking level. Most of the time my squads did no damage to Nigel until I Summoned Archers twice for assists in addition to the other assists I was using, and the angel enemies in general feel completely invincible except when I copy their squads point-for-point in which case they fall immediately. Now everything I loathe is being slapped on a map where it took me an hour to use the battering ram. I'm very tired and just want to see the ending at this point.
Ignore Mort, his crew was my leftovers of trying to make a new crew before getting fed up with grinding.
Swap Bruno with Berengaria.
Rolf's squad ain't doing squat, unless it's an arrow rain build.
Swap Ithilion with your generic thief.
I'm not quite sure what your Chloe squad is doing.
Are you using any conferral tomes with Yahna?
rosalinde or eltolinde can almost solo carry squads with conferral tomes on elemental roar or amber lens for truestrike and crit + gambler coin + elemental roar
I only have one Flame Conferral tome, where can I find more?
When was the last time you redid your squads?
Earlier today after getting stuck on Umerus's mission.
Your squads are all over the place.
For Celeste (and why not Fran?), put Miriam in front and Leah in the back. Give Miriam gauntlets and she can tank enough. You want to block and not dodge attacks, to trigger Kitra's enrage.
Swap Ren and Bruno. Give Bruno glasses.
Cavstack is fine, but put Gilbert at the end.
Rolf's unit doesn't deal enough damage. Swap Hilda with Lex, swap Owl with another archer.
I see several of your teams (the desert rats, rose knights, Cornian cavalry, tricorns) are story-based units. There's nothing wrong with that, but each team should have a clear game plan for how it deals damage, and how it absorbs damage.
You also seem to mix armor tanks and dodge tanks. While having a mix of squads with different specialization is good, having a dodge tank with an armor tank in the front often means one of them will be downed because what is bad against dodge tanks is usually good against armor tanks, and vice versa. You can actually see it in Celeste squad, where Virginia (a guard/armor tank) survived, but Leah was presumably killed by an archer, and a similar istuation in Alain unit where the armor tank was downed but the mixed tank survived.
Ice Conferral can be found at Yahna's Tower or Chogoraport Town in Bastorias,
Stun confferal can be found at Subterranean City of Quantipelt.
Fire conferral is good too.
You should use it to imbue Alain's spin attack.

Made these changes.
On the offensive side, find certain formations your units could be good at fighting and build towards that, and remember it when deploying them. For example, in Celeste's team, Virginia is good against armor/flying, Leah is good against rogues and dodge tanks, Kitra is good against armor, Celeste is good against cavalry and Miriam is good at healing. A mixed unit like covers a little bit of everything but isn't good at any particular thing, so you're likely to take losses of some sort just as like you are to deal reasonable damage against basically anybody.
Equipment and tactics, however, can help you deal with that. You have a good start in that Virginia and Kitra are both good against armored opponents. Miriam doesn't have have standout physical attack, but she does have decent magic attack which her base class doesn't use outside of heals. Consider giving her a magic sword (you can buy one in the first town in Cornia you land on) and making her use that sword on only armored units. Now you have three units (Miriam, Virginia and Kitra) who are good at fighting armored units - just remember to use them against armored units and not to send them against, say, flyers. You still have some units that don't (Leah and Celeste), but that's okay - being overspecialized isn't great either, especially because most battles won't have units of just one type; Renault squad likely sees lots of battle forecasts where they either wipe the enemy or are wiped themselves, because they're so overspecialized.
In general, offensively, find one thing the squad is very good at and one that it's reasonably good at, and settle on one type of defense, and you're at the start of balanced unit.

Made these changes.
Also keep in mind that neither stats nor equipment stand on their own; in Gloucester unit, Gloucester, Liza, Magellan and Aubin all have shields, but they're not equally good at tanking. Aubin and Magellan's defenses are rather low, and their regular shields only reduce damage by 50% while guarding; Liza's greatshield reduces them by 75%, so even though her physical defense isn't great either, she'll be a bit more durable than the others. Gloucester is reasonably durable, but his abilities sacrifice his hp, so he's more fragile than his stats might let on. If you want to make the most use of Magellan's following slash (which requires an attack to make contact), you need units that can take as many hits as possible, so Magellan has as many chances to counterattack as possible. So you want physically durable armor tanks instead of dodge tanks. Liza and Shieldshooters can offheal with medical aid; consider replacing Sharon with the shieldshooter in Mort unit and giving them items that boost their guard and defenses if you want the team to revolve around counterattacking.

It's not splitting evenly, per se. It's just that the damage is adjusted by any other potencies. Cavaliers will turn 30 conferral damage to 60 against infantry.
Memeteor Slash will do 20% of 30 damage (6) 9 times, because that's its potency value
Yeah Come Foul Demon/Farde Mal Diavolo really set my expectations high, but the rest of the soundtrack doesn't really match it.

That felt unromantic to you? I don't know how you interpret "I want to be close by your side until you die, don't do that anytime soon btw." as anything other than a confession.
The history books for an Alain that rings Tatiana would probably read like >"Alain keeps having his duties interrupted because the court physician keeps calling him in for more frequent inspections." >"He seems healthy, but he also never refuses so I guess there's something going on with him."
>That felt unromantic to you? I don't know how you interpret "I want to be close by your side until you die, don't do that anytime soon btw." as anything other than a confession.

Yahna served Ilenia's grandfather, so Gerard's father and Alain's great grandfather. Alcina self exiled after Gerard's death and only went back in Ilenia's hour of need.

Nah, the mining map ones, I must've got the location wrong for that axe that removes health and initiative for an extra AP
Though the treasure from Drakenhold's carvings? I upgraded it and gave it to ren
If I want to use all of those charged 2AP moves, would I slap a bunch of initiative boosting gear onto the unit using it so they can attack first?
I've just been trying glacial rain with Yunifi backed up by an elven archer for the additional freeze memes from Yunifi's follow up + ice arrow, but I feel like maybe it shouldn't take as long to get to her using glacial rain.
Though this is after getting raped one turn in by trinity rain casters.
Or would I use a mirror to mess with Yunifi's stats
Every time. First, it's the Dragoon Dive + Quick Impetus combo, then it's Trinity Rain + Quick Impetus Combo until someone can reflect your magic, killing you all.
The best one I have is Alain spin2win with a Conferal and Rosalinde and Elemental Roar with a Conferal. If that's not enough, I turned Scarlett into an Active Heal bot so she can give Alain 2 more AP so he can spin one more time.
https://i.imgur.com/OUczZen.png
LOOK OUT, AN ANGEL!
I finally reach Albion and it seems to another difficulty spike with the Featherbows blinding you, your magics getting reflected and Tome Conferal hitting less than usual because those angels with shields are surpringly tanky.
One thing UO lacks that I love about fire emblem is map design that takes place indoors or in dungeons or caves. Hopefully UO2 can find a way to implement these as well as more interesting win conditions.
I suspect that some underground missions were planned at one point, given the huge dark elf city, the ice caves that have a nice background that is barely used, and the mysterious overworld caves that do nothing.
Gilbert yells about the “dragon god” but Primm is obviously an orthodoxy priest. Cornians all seem to be orthodoxy adherents and there are a few Bastorias rapports which indicate they are too. Dunno about Elheim
Elheim have the fae, but I wouldn't call it worship. Don't recall there being a higher god, but it makes sense they keep to something more earthly they at least can see.
So after spending ungodly amount of hours in this game, I just discovered that I can toggle on and off tactics with the R3 instead of flatout removing them

I started the game a few days ago, pretty fun so far. Just rescued Scarlett after some 10 hours due to me trying to do everything.
Out of curiosity, are there some kind of repeatable battles later on for farming XP? Because there's a lot of units I want to use but I don't have the room right now for.
Sigil fights as mentioned. But you really won't need to grind. I run max units and I'm never too far behind. But I do fight bestrals only during the day
Its not really a good team comp, only carried by raw stats and endgame gear. And even then you can comfortably beat it in the lv30s with actually good otk teams which focus on split dmg like glacial rain or elem roar.
Do you guys think they’ll ever patch this into being a respectable strategy game and not just weeb manchild bait? It seems you have to be severely moronic or new to gaming to find any challenge in it without imposing it on yourself.
This isn’t a problem with NAtURAL DOCtRINE, a far more clever game, and one which brutally filters fake weebs. I suppose I’ll have to keep playing that.
>bought sorcerer gauntlets in a fit of excitement without checking who can equip >immensely disappointed when only Wizards can equip them
Yeah that extra 1.5 * 10 physical attack contribution sure is worth using over literally any other spell.

People were saying before that Josef can be useful later on but I don't see it. He falls off HARD. He's woefully outclassed as a support by Radiant Knights. I wanted to try going all in on pursuit because he is the only one with innate pursuit can equip the sword, buckler, and earnings for a total of 155 modifier on Pursuits, but his base attack is non-existent. Is there.anu saving him?
He gets massive stat growths very late at like levels 45-50 which put him on par with everyone else. It probably should have been earlier than that so he could catch up before the end of the game
Do you even get to that level range naturally? Seems like a silly design choice.

A shield slot wouldn't really solve their problems, though. Vikings have a shield slot and honestly it's still a waste because they can't take a hit anyway.
>Viking shieldwalls were so effective in defense that archers in scandinavian warfare was the work of commoners and thralls >in UO the one Viking is a guy from the desert, and the class has the durability of a paper plate
I guess it fits the aesthetic, but it's odd that they didn't go all the way in either direction. It's wild that the Viking is effectively a support class.
Rolling Slash is way too good to be a support class. 1 app, 120 pot, row attack that also reduces phys Def.

It doesn't scale great. 3 40 potency attacks isn't a 120 potency attack, because the defense reduction applies to each of those 3 attacks vs. just once. It's why meteor slash is garbage. Wide Slash is great, but it needs debuffs to be truly good, and the easiest way to ensure it (start-of-battle abilities) clash with war horn.

Not him but is there a documented damage formula? Between this discussion about low potency being hurt especially bad and the confusion I get from the difference between potency and flat +damage on equipment/skills, I'd feel that a formula would clarify everything.

Huh, I thought it was (Attack * Potency / 100) - Defense. So a 3 x 40 potency attack is actually a 1 x 120, just with a chance of partially missing. I stand corrected.

>https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/426397-unicorn-overlord/80728512 >Damage calculation is (Attack - Defense) * (Potency / 100)
Huh, I thought it was (Attack * Potency / 100) - Defense. So a 3 x 40 potency attack is actually a 1 x 120, just with a chance of partially missing. I stand corrected.
The expanded damage formula (found with lots of testing) is: >[(P.ATK*b - P.DEF*b) + (MATK*b - MDEF*b)] * P
Conferrals and rapport bonuses will change things in a way I'm not totally confident to share right now, but the above will cover the vast majority of damage situations. Obviously you ignore either M.ATK or P.ATK if it's not hybrid damage.
b = buffs
P = potencies
Buffs are additive (War Cry and Powerful Call = 1.5x), potencies are multiplicative (2x class Knight trait bonus and Wild Rush .8x = 1.6x).
Something the game never tells you is that any modifier/multiplier applied after defense has been subtracted from attack is technically a "potency." Mathematically draughts (consumable items), class trait bonuses, Valorous Order, guard efficiency, and critical are all just as much a "potency" as skill potency. These modifiers are all multiplied together into one modifier, and then applied to calculated flat damage once.
And yes, multi-hit skills are literally just equal to their total potency. Meteor Slash is a 180 potency skill that has to crit 9 times in order to do the same damage it would have done had it been a 180 potency single hit with crit. It's kind of shit honestly.
You can argue that they might use the game's engine and reuse assets to save on budget for another game, but yeah, no sequel is fine. And VW has already set a precedent for that. I think they tied whatever loose ends they had fairly nicely.
An update / expansion / DLC would be nice though, to flesh out endgame or even a new game+. Maybe add some of those cut out classes like that sexo belly dancer from the previous thread.
I did, and I enjoyed the mechanics for that too. It obviously doesn't have the scripting complexity this game has, but I really enjoyed the unit mobility system and the formation/cover mechanics. Dogshit art and story though, making it overall worse than UO.
>It's absolutely fantastic.
Wouldn't go that far, given the lack of difficulty, but it is pretty fun. I'm a bit miffed about how all the male units except Napoleon himself are trash, weaker version of their female counterparts
I played that one too, alongside Nephilim Saga. It was in a way the mirror image of that game; the Mechanics were unimaginative, but I actually really liked the plot and the art. And the Napoleonic aesthetic was great.
I would like a sequel but also respect that VW is more of a one and done kind of company. I definitely don’t think it should be a series. At most, make one more game and then move on.
>Alcina and Gailey have a full voice set, including tavern and stationing at a town
We were robbed. They were supposed to be full party members by the end of the Elheim storyline at one point.
I feel like this game has the exact same issue as Fire Emblem but even worse. Late game turns into a micromanaging slog with how many units you have.
The unit distribution is absolute pants too greatly limiting creativity unless you hire m*rcs.
I have trouble understanding that sentiment. You can deploy at most 10 squads, and only 3 or 4 at the start of battle. The game not being turn/tile based also makes it much less tedious to handle movement for a bunch of squads. This is about as light in micromanagement as strategy games get.
>unless you hire m*rcs.
Hire them, then. They exist for a reason.
>unless you hire m*rcs.
Nothing wrong with hiring good units from good classes and making consistent teams than forcing yourself to use free handouts for the sake of using those.
You homies need to sell me on Alchemy Meister, saw discussion of it from the previous thread but I dunno if I want to invest 100 hrs into a game after just doing the same with an Expert + TZ run on UO.
Kamidori? It was a fun ecchi rpg with dogshit story but really fun gameplay and progression. I played it a very long time ago so maybe it wasn't as good as I remember it being.
Is Late Josef seriously good? I‘m only at like level 36 and I feel my Josef hasn‘t been good since I hit level 18. Dude has paper phys defenses and almost no damage.
Should I put the guardian gloves on Lex so he can frontline instead of just being an arrow interceptor? It's just silly how his class doesn't mesh with his personality.
Arrow cover not scaling to row/column arrow cover when Archers and Elven Archers get full column/row shots was an amazing way to make an already-niche class completely useless.
Yes. If you didn't have the option, I'm assuming it's because you didn't recruit Nina. You also missed out on the incredibly butthole-ish option to execute Bryce right in front of Nina while she begs for his life.
>Not that he deserves it.
...seriously? Dude steals from Zenoira to sustain the commonfolk of Cornia, then runs to Bastorias and rebuilds a whole damn abandoned city and protects it's inhabitants from bandits, and he doesn't deserve to live?
>Whinging about le evil nobles makes him more than annoying enough to get the axe.
The same fricking nobles you've been fighting the entire game. And someone complaining that corrupt nobles have ruined his life and the life of everyone around him is enough for you to want to murder him? Are you that fragile? This game isn't exactly subtle when it tries to present a moral dilemma or situation, and you're failing to recognize a typical Robin Hood plot?
Some days ago I asked anons to help me with this squad, especially with Morards role in it. While row pursuit was a good idea, it clashed with other follow-up attacks in this squad. The solution was something way too obvious: that one item that gives a unit the highest initiative on the witch on Morard, who does it superjump while buffing himself with true strike and crits.
Yunifi is now almost wasted here, but not everything is susceptible to the ground smash, so she still fulfills a role killing fliers or just dodging whatever survives, and Ithilion counters with vanitas whenever Morard gets hit afterward.
Now, this is my only remaining problem squad. And that's all because I want to use every squad and give every unique some time to shine.
The initial idea was to use Eltolindes start of the battle heal to protect the frontline, and give her a beefy frontline to make it worth it, and also to build up fairies. Amalia and Bryce then take hits, Nina builds up the rage, Aramis exist to kill evade tanks.
But this squad really shows how high initiative and preemptively nuking enemies is just superior. It rarely works out as I hoped, and Eltoline is not as great of a healer as I think she would be.
So I thought, I give Bryce the banner that buffs armored units, and just double down on that. But turns out, Breakers are not armored units as well, and it competes with Eltolindes activate at the start of battle ability.
Maybe I remove Aramis (I already use the other two swordcutes), add Bertrand to the frontline and put Nina into the back, and just create this row of heavy armor kept alive by Eltoline, until the Nina is unleashed.
I'm close to finishing it and happy with most of my squads, don't want to switch up squads too much this late into the game.
Yeah, if you're using Nina as your cleanup batter, Aramis doesn't really do much. Even if you spec a faster breaker like Kitra to clear the way for your swordmasters, the sheer difference in their growths means you really have to micromanage dews and equipment for her to be faster than, say, Aramis or Leah.
I have a very effective swordmaster squad. Meteor slash is turned off, it's a meme skill only good against Galerius. Keen strike is vastly superior to it and costs less.
Its actual usage is after charged impetus and a magic buff or conferall
I genuinely think it's a meme, but some people stand by setting up entire teams around it purely because SMs are cute
It’s like 9 hits so it will kill anything that isn’t armored. The problem is the front line can usually guard it. Best way to deal with it is to have them do a 1AP attack then use the passive skill that gives them AP. Then use meteor slash. I think it will do well with magic conferral too especially if you give them a magic weapon as their second one.
>Set their ETB skill to only fire if there's no armoured units present >Set all their other skills to only fire if there's no armoured units present >Delete the armoured units with your counters >Swordmaster now sweeps the rest
Or give them a magic sword in one hand with which to attack armors. Most physical classes lose power in their class attacks if they wield magic weapons, since magic swords have much lower phys. attack bonuses, but Swordmasters can have the best of both worlds if they wield a sword in their other hand.
Because that word lost all and every meaning.
Though, having one weird interest somewhat qualifies for it. But that's just humans are. You can be a functional person and still do weird stuff. Probably also because they barely interacted with her, and don't know how good she is at expressing her own emotions, which is something truly autistic people would have troubles with
Yeah, it's weird how all these NPCs have throwaway lines like that that don't lead anywhere. Like how there were all those scenes with Primm and Aramis, but then Aramis just dies and no one ever mentions him again.
Does anyone know what the conversation Nigel has available in the final battle is meant to be? I assume it's supposed to be with Sanatio, but I've never actually seen it because who the frick would use Sanatio.
Nothing too interesting. Something like Sanatio just making a comment about how he's surprised that Nigel is there and left the Basilica alone. They have brief conversation. Should've screencapped it
This game would've been an easy 10/10 if there was a female thief. It will stay a shitty 9.5/10 until the end of time unless VW releases some dlc that adds additional classes.
Lex should have been a girl. People misdiagnose Chloe as the Tomboy archetype, but she's the Girl Next Door archetype, and the closest we actually have is Virginia.
>How the hell would marry some smelly brown skinned desert Viking girl?
Well first you get take her to the shrine of the unicorn, then you whip out the ring and propose and after you suppress revolts from angry peasantcels who don’t want to accept your desert rose of a wife you settle down in blissful unicorn approved marriage
I too feel like the game becomes far too centralized around big AOE nukes. You could have an attack that just instantly kills an enemy with 9999 damage and if it was single target I wouldn't give half a frick and keep using priority boosted AOE setups. The thing is, only bastards cross comes even close to that level of awe inducing power, it's actually pretty ridiculous how much damage it does, so it barely is worthwhile, but all other single target stuff just doesn't feel worthwhile. Even then a lot of the time Bastard's Cross is more of a "oh and I'm here too" punctuation point after your team already mangled the enemy and a 30% hp healer is all that's left.
No, Vanguard is
Blocking arrows is a meme, just kill enemy archers with your other squads/make your flying squad kill or disable the archers before they attack
Nah, they are quite tanky in both having good evasion (especially against melee attacks from grood) and a shield, they buff themselves and are good recipients for buffs so that they can go for single-target kills with their discharge.
They aren't the greatest, but fun to pull off.
The rune carving weapons are the obvious candidates
The magic weapons
Chlorotic and Pestilent Staff for the Fire/Poison teams
Flame Javelin because I like Chloe
That +5 stats sword you get early since it only had 15 dmg
Eltolinde & Rosalinde's weapons
And I forget what else, though I do remember I wanted to upgrade more shit but forgot and just beat the game instead.
Oh no, Gilbert is gonna start building luxury hotels in the middle of the desert while the poor continue to suffer? I thought he and Gloucester were bros
Gotta accommodate all those Cornians vacationing there ever since Alain married that desert tras- I mean hidden gem Liza. Please understand a rising tide lifts all boats :^).
Yeah, wasn't it obvious?
The actual funny part is that Railanor and Ithilion are implied to be the younger ones. The actual thiccest elf and the elf guy who romances a human without actually looking like a pedo.
How exactly does guard work?
People without shields have a guard rate but I don't think I've actually ever seen them guard, so I assume the +25% efficiency from normal shields and +50% from heavy shields indicates that much damage reduction when guarding
What are "medium" and "heavy" guards in terms of skills then? I would assume medium is 50% and heavy is 75% given that the latter is often on Great shield class skills and they wouldn't care about it if it also only did 50%.
They do actually guard if you boost their guard rate (Celeste's starting kit of Labrys + Gloves is a good way to see this).
Base guard is 25% efficiency (25% damage reduction)
Shields increase this by 25% (50% damage reduction). This is a "Medium Guard."
Greatshields increase this by 50% (75% reduction). This is a "Heavy Guard."
Yes, units that have self-protective skills with medium and heavy guards is just a 100% proc guard.
Guarding without a shield is 25% less damage. 50% with regular shields, 75% with great shields.
Correct and it is entirely dependent on the skill. Some skills from great shields only give medium guard.
Bit of contradiction here, so is it 25-50-75 for base-medium-heavy (shields adding to a base 25% reduction) or is 25 shared between no shield and light shield?
Either way, it seems to me that Great shield classes want to chuck any self guard skills later on because they can get their innate rate pretty high and it's not worth spending pp for such redundancy.
>Great shield classes want to chuck any self guard skills later
I'm a moron and this was also my assumption. Excluding things that refund PP like anti-cav vs. cav attackers.

The guard stat is ultimately how likely they are to guard on their own, when they are attacked. Similarly to the evasion stat.
An ability using PP would activate (if the conditions are met) regardless of how much guard they have, and the efficiency/medium/heavy dictates how much damage is absorbed. With some equipment, you could even make clerics or archers guard, using their PP. But characters with good guard-rates can also guard even without an ability or spending PP.
False.
Main stats (physical attack for weapons, magical attack for weapons, defence for shields, guard rate for shields, guard efficiency) don't stack. Everything else does.
Just did her ending. She’s cute as frick. Her and Alain have great chemistry
>marrying an A*glo
A bit too angry for my tastes.
>t. Blasphemous fool
Yeah, I'll just be taking Sharon instead.
Have you forgotten someone to ask?
The king doesn't require permission.
Eh, I don't like how violent she is with the others too.
>he doesn’t want a angry angel wife
No I'm way more used to softer angel wives.
Alchemy Meister would have been better if it wasn't harem shit.
And if Aht was a main girl.
>Aht
Fuuuuuuuuuuck no
Shit taste.
I keep Aht as a pile of mud.
I don't need moronic girls with abs.
Keep digging that hole, buddy.
I really should play that game again. It's been too long.
Great taste. Still crazy she's not a main character
You don't spare him, you banish his soul to the afterlife- which is explicitly what he DOESN'T want. He's obviously not going to heaven, you consign him, Baltro and all their shitty minions to hell. It's nice.
>Great taste. Still crazy she's not a main character
Melo has better pacing and romantic moments than all of the side girls and some of the main girls.
>You don't spare him, you banish his soul to the afterlife- which is explicitly what he DOESN'T want. He's obviously not going to heaven, you consign him, Baltro and all their shitty minions to hell. It's nice.
I was trying not to spoil him in case he didn't get the ending or not (the choices are to kill him or spare him) but you do you.
>POV: You just took 1 damage (Critical) 18 times
Meteor Slash, like Astra in Fire Emblem, is a fricking meme against anything but scouts and elves who you need to burn their evasion. Swordmasters not having the scout designation makes using it usually not worth it.
The Tsun Tsun levels are so good though
His cheeky ass smile here really makes it.
Their 2nd support was cute
I like Ochlys but they pushed OchlysxSharon so much I would've felt like an butthole if I married Ochlys.
They aren’t lesbians
Defeats? Lame. This is why Amalia is the true ending, Alain never sees defeat in their ending.
Post Gorillawife
>Alain losing his colosseum fight because he brought Lex
>Ochlys watching from afar.
I'm really not a yurigay, but 99% of the cast is Alainsexual. It's barely an argument when all of Ochyls' other comments are Sharon-focused.
I know it's a losing stance in these threads, 'they're just a couple of besties' and all, but like come on.
I like to think it's one sided with Ochlys being lesiban for Sharon and Sharon being unaware and thinks they're just besties.
They’re just good friends
I wanted to like Ochlys but she was just so weird and so posessive over Sharon I thought it'd be better to just let them do their thing.
Shame since I really like Angels and I was super keen to have an Angel Queen. Luckily the Elves made up for it.
>pvp ban list for the next two weeks
>clerics and princes
>anemoi shields
Well frick.
A tsundere to the end. Finally finished TZ and got the game out of my system, maybe.
>do the true ending already
I did, the maiden just doesn't say nearly as much.
Joseph jobbing whenever someone posts the maiden's speech is just too funny.
He blocks it if you make him the maiden and Galerius even compliments him on it
What happens if Jozef is the maiden?
Lmao shit
Silly ass ending though.
>you know what this barren desert whose people only survived thanks to subsidies from Gloucester could do with
>more people.
>racism ends because Cornians suddenly think the desert is hip and trendy
Probably more like the area prospered as people bought textiles seeing them as exotic goods. Then they move there. Really it’s not that different than say Japan.
Japan could and probably still can feed its population were it to one day be completely isolated. People were starving in the Drakenhold desert before Gloucester started lobbying for them in Soldraga and got resources brought in.
Sucks how most people probably never even bother watching these, the maiden getting more lines compared to the few they get in the Baltro scene really helps make the scene more satisfying.
Leah's incredulity at being chosen is very sweet. Next run I'll choose her.
My autistic wife.
Leah is cute
These scenes are all so good, but it's absolutely moronic to get them. Shame the true route doesn't have this kind'a chemistry.
The twist was way cooler in the bad ending.
How do you even get this scene? This is totally not what happened when I played the game, does it depend on what choice you make with Alain beforehand or is it something else?
Strike down galerius instead.
Yeah I see. I picked purifying him since I figured the butthole would come back from the dead anyway if I just killed him, but I didn't think it'd happen right then and there, on the spot.
Yeah, it plays if you choose to kill Galerius.
>kill galleries and he possses you
>purify his soul gets you the baltro fight
Virginia.
She literally moves on right afterwards and is the only maiden to end up with someone else. She was also planning to kill Alain if he didn’t measure up
Does she have to be this smug?
Yes.
>just finished The Witch's Word
goddamn that was grueling
I ran out of valor near the end and also ran out of item uses so I had to figure out how to rearrange my units on the fly to actually get past that stupid fricking shield
she also spawned on the southern gate which I'd left undefended, which meant she got the viking and 2 wyvern masters which was a real pain to get through -- the first time I did it I used valor and items to get through them but didn't have squads configured properly to do it raw
>He had to grind to beat the final Bastoras map
You didn't beat the game
>suddenly 400 squads sprinting at me at mach speeds
I grinded BECAUSE of the final bastoras map.
skill issue
Just buy Dream Blossoms, moron.
You don't need to do a single Albion fight to buy more.
that doesn't change the fact you still have to chew through them all
Bestrals are paper tigers in daytime. It's smooth sailing as long as you can turn off their bullshit powers.
READ Black person, it's not about difficulty.
>Going for TZ Norbelle end
>The same happens once you clear 3 of the 4 marquesses and 12 bestral teams spawn and zero in on you
I'm guessing your problem is stamina.
I already finished the game, why do people keep miss-reading this?
>enter mission either at-level or slightly under
>fight 500 furries at the garrison
>come out at the level cap
Yeah and we're all trying to speculate on why you had to bloody well grind when the game gives you more than enough resources not to have to do it, not telling you what to do in the present.
>why you had to bloody well grind
I'll break it up into bite-size pieces for you
I didn't grind
because the rat
throws 50 squads at you
on a fixed trigger
so unless you fly past everything
you come out at level cap
before hitting the halfway point
>All these anons are misunderstanding my post
>did I word it in a misleading way?
>No, it is everyone else who is stupid
Why would you need to grind?
>fly over mountain
>claim outpost
>drop someone on the base to defend
>deal with the 5 enemies in front of the boss
>win
I had a couple squads that went the intended way and they spent most of the fight dodging catapult shots, hiding in forests to avoid assist fire and then soloing the horde of wolves at 0 stamina, but I could have ended the mission way earlier if I avoided 100% clearing the map
>not just taking a flyer over the mountains to ignore the whole map
How do people struggle with it? They give you like 2 catapults to blast away the reinforcements
I hated this map because I had like 3 really good squads that leveled to 33 from this, it hurt my even leveling autism a lot
Sex with Leah.
The bloomers stay on.
>that guy who puts fliers in the back row
>that guy who equips defensive items on the damage dealer
Gryphons are too fragile to take any hits if RNG evasion fails them and I'm not wasting PP on gryphon glide
The frick you need gryphon PP for?
Wyvern reins, obviously
You got 3 accessory slots, just slap a sapphire pendant, a scarf and use both. Gryphon glide is a safety net, nothing more.
To be honest I use nocturnal evade a scarf and the reins on mine.
Wyvern Reins probably. Auto hit and bonus damage for 1 pp is stellar.
Feathering too
Thats me. I only put alain, vegeta, lex, colm, hoplites and bears on front
Nina bros, I don't think I need a 2nd Legionnaire this late in the game
You might wanna look away...
DON'T YOU DARE
>YOU SHOULD TURN TO DUST
>NOW!
Gee Ochlys calm down.
AFTER 56 HOURS AND 53 MINUTES, I DID IT, I BECAME UNICORN OVERLORD!
Also, what's the true ending everybody talks about? I think mine was cute btw Any pair gives you a text about Alain having babies with her at the end?
Chloe
My chole epilogue said she became my chambermaid and went to soldiers reuinons to hear stories, as well Alain goes there too.
That means Chloe's kids are Alain ones because I married Eltolinde? Will they inherence the throne because the are 100% humans? Why i don't have kids with Eltolinde i want to plap plap impregnate her.
Also I remembered that Gilbert Impregnates Virginia and they have a boy
esl or...?
yes
Based ESL.
Pat the Chloe!
You probably got the true ending.
>restore the ring
>go to the shrines
>spare the big bad at the end
That's all you have to do.
Also Chloe is the only girl whose epilogue explicitly includes having kids.
only chloe
I'm a little annoyed that while most of the characters get at least a paragraph Alain and the Maiden only get a one sentence epilogue slide
>all these endings that talk about "the restoration of Feverith"
My dude, every single town and castle are flourishing
They set off fireworks and everything, the continent is as good as new, all it cost was a bit of wood and assorted fish
Jesus I think I've spent twice that long on the game and I'm not even all the way through Albion.
But I haven't been skipping any battles.
Why aren't they welcome inside? Do they have fleas or something?
half the cast is outside
Bertrand is trying to get Govil to return to Bastorias immediately. Dinah didn’t wanna see her husbando talking to other women
Licka
The artist is definitely a pits guy.
The Holy March broke me to turning down the difficulty level. I have no idea what people mean by saying this is an easy game.
I don't get how you can do the preceding map (vs Nigel) and find Holy March difficult. It's the same shit, just stretched along a spaghetti noodle.
I only have one Flame Conferral tome, where can I find more?
Earlier today after getting stuck on Umerus's mission.
Made these changes.
bastorias had a frost one in some shop
yahna's tower has a frost one
somewhere in drakenhold you can buy a thunder tome
Ice Conferral can be found at Yahna's Tower or Chogoraport Town in Bastorias,
Stun confferal can be found at Subterranean City of Quantipelt.
Fire conferral is good too.
You should use it to imbue Alain's spin attack.
When was the last time you redid your squads?
You can actually see it in Celeste squad, where Virginia (a guard/armor tank) survived, but Leah was presumably killed by an archer, and a similar istuation in Alain unit where the armor tank was downed but the mixed tank survived.
rosalinde or eltolinde can almost solo carry squads with conferral tomes on elemental roar or amber lens for truestrike and crit + gambler coin + elemental roar
Why in the world do you have your Knights in the front and Monica in the back? Let her tank, they're the ones doing damage.
Reload that save this instant. What the frick are you doing?
how?
It's not even difficult other than having to deal with featherbows which you should have already figured out before the final mission.
It's just long but you get plenty of time, and can even blow a corne ash for an extension if you suck that much.
i had no trouble running it down with mainly fun bestral teams
Post your teams anon. If it's your first playthrough or you don't play strategy games much, you just might have missed important items or rule interactions.
The Holy March is pure fun. Just march your entire army in a straight line. Also, did you notice Nigel can convert like half the enemies to green?
I am a simple man. I love looking at Rams roadkilling with hastened call.
I absolutely haaaated that map. It's too tight and too windy, just a total pain from start to finish.
And the worst is all the NPCs, I always feel like I have to keep them alive as they rush headlong to their deaths.
>gerard fricks off when you take his unicorn sword
no, I don't think I will. you shall be my training dummy for the rest of the game
So conflicted between her and the hag. Anyone else? Ended up picking Yahna.
Elf sisters in top 5. Liked ren too.
For Magic Conferral, whose MAtk is used? The caster or the attacker?
Caster. Potency is split evenly if you use multi hit attacks.
Oh, frick, good to know, thanks anon.
It's not splitting evenly, per se. It's just that the damage is adjusted by any other potencies. Cavaliers will turn 30 conferral damage to 60 against infantry.
Memeteor Slash will do 20% of 30 damage (6) 9 times, because that's its potency value
1/2(Caster's m.atk - foe's m.def)
then add this to the attacker's damage, and adjust for other potencies in the final calculation
I wish this game had a better and memorable soundtrack. would make it 9.5/10 for me
I wish it tried to present it's story in a more focused way instead of having like 60-70% of game be liberation quests.
Are you playing muted? Heir to the dragonlands and Come Foul Demon are both amazing.
Yeah Come Foul Demon/Farde Mal Diavolo really set my expectations high, but the rest of the soundtrack doesn't really match it.
you have bad taste
I honestly can't remember any songs outside of the prologue and a couple boss fights. I wish they went the jrpg soundtrack route with catchy melodies. instead it's ambient sounds aside from those
I like the overworld tracks for Cornia, Elfhiem, Albion, and I think Bastorias.
I love you hag ma'am!
Though it doesn't matter much here, based on the fanart it seems the game has a bit of a female playerbase too.
Game has cool dudes, they deserve the art.
to be fair there's a lot of good designs for the female gaze and fujobait with the covenant. not sure about actual gays though
>clearly made by a woman
>exact same tastes, even including women
should I be worried?
Sounds like you are an enjoyer of dominant women. ywnbaw, of course.
>Sounds like you are an enjoyer of dominant women
you say that like it's a bad thing
Honestly Monica and Hilda are some of my favorites based on design alone and Nigel and Laurent are cool dudes. Dunno what you see in Fodo though
My wife and her best friend!
>yfw
>time for a 2nd run
Beautiful songs. Reminds me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7C2SOc5juM
That's one the of the worst song in the game.
Directionless crap. I hate it.
Soulless
>too many notes
Which other 3rd rapports need some beautiful art?
The first rapport between Uremus and Eltolinde.
moron
I apologize, I'm a high school drop out.
My loyal husband Mordon!
>Top tier supports
>Feels like a romantic pairing
>Utterly unromantic ring scene
>Complete nothingburger dialogue against Galerius
>Nonromantic ending
Feels like anyone who chose her for the Maiden got tricked, honestly. What a gyp.
Making her admit that she may not be so eager to embrace death was neat though.
Yeah, the rapport is great. "Oh, so I'm going to die now. That's fine." ... but then she steps back the second they actually approach.
>Utterly unromantic ring scene
That felt unromantic to you? I don't know how you interpret "I want to be close by your side until you die, don't do that anytime soon btw." as anything other than a confession.
>ending
King is plowing his Physician.
The history books for an Alain that rings Tatiana would probably read like
>"Alain keeps having his duties interrupted because the court physician keeps calling him in for more frequent inspections."
>"He seems healthy, but he also never refuses so I guess there's something going on with him."
>That felt unromantic to you? I don't know how you interpret "I want to be close by your side until you die, don't do that anytime soon btw." as anything other than a confession.
No kiss, no hug, they don't get close to one another and Alain only hints that she could be Queen with "Or something more..."
>King is plowing his Physician.
That's just headcanon. Even in her postgame dialogue she doesn't say anything romantic, no blushing, no soft words.
If could be interpreted as romantic, but it feels pretty much platonic. Almost as much as something like Galadmir's.

it's really not that bad, the enemies stay consistent trough the map
that first main story one was pretty good good luck
Early Drakenhold is a leap in difficulty. Gloucester was the second hardest map in the game for me, behind the wolf and the bear.
>Early Drakenhold is a leap in difficulty.
Opposite for me, I breezed through Drakenhold and got surprised in Elheim with the sudden bump in enemy levels and promoted enemies.
Considering it said I could do either, I thought Elheim was gonna be the same level.
I didn't know you could recall temporary blue units, gain an extra valor point, respread them and poach the weapons off temporal units.
I knew about the valor points (because green/temporarily blue units are worthless in TZ), but I didn't realize they let you keep the equipment. Any good loot?
You always get to keep equipment from generics, even if said generics don't join you or if you don't unequip them manually. See
for restrictions.
It's pretty hilarious when you beat the postgame map and get 50 gold bangles.
Only from characters that will permanently join you immediately. You can't poach items from Amalia during the Coliseum defence, for example.

And said twink gets to be pontifex instead of Nigel

What a great game. Jumping into TZ is tempting but I don’t want to get burned out. Been a long time since I’ve been so engrossed by a game either way
Yeah I feel like I should give it a bit before starting my own TZ run.
But I also am curious if my 1st playthrough team set-up was pretty good to work in the higher difficulties.
im in the same boat, i want more but knowing what gets said here it's probably better to just wait
My feelings exactly. I loved the game, but I don't think I'll wanna put in another 80+hours to beat it from scratch again.
If there was some kind of NG+ component maybe.
If Alcina was Illenia's court mage, when exactly was Yahna the kingdom's court mage?
Yahna served Ilenia's grandfather, so Gerard's father and Alain's great grandfather. Alcina self exiled after Gerard's death and only went back in Ilenia's hour of need.
Damn, how fricking old are those two? How long can they live for?

Slap on a gambler's coin and put him in a team with another swordmaster. There! Fixed!
People have said his stats get an absurd boost in his last 5 levels. Which, practically speaking, isn't very helpful
Do you even get to that level range naturally? Seems like a silly design choice.
He gets massive stat growths very late at like levels 45-50 which put him on par with everyone else. It probably should have been earlier than that so he could catch up before the end of the game
Man. Why didn't they give Werewolves a shield slot. What the frick man. It's like they were trying to make the most useless class.
Werewolves are already good. Extra accessory > shield.
the anon you're replying to was making a point about the post *he's* replying to, not actually saying werewolves needed shields
A shield slot wouldn't really solve their problems, though. Vikings have a shield slot and honestly it's still a waste because they can't take a hit anyway.
I still don't know why they didn't give vikings two axes instead.
I guess they wanted them to be somewhat viable for a frontline.
>Viking shieldwalls were so effective in defense that archers in scandinavian warfare was the work of commoners and thralls
>in UO the one Viking is a guy from the desert, and the class has the durability of a paper plate
I guess it fits the aesthetic, but it's odd that they didn't go all the way in either direction. It's wild that the Viking is effectively a support class.
I wonder if its called Viking in Japanese or if its a pepega translation
In japnese its House Carl for the base unit, couldnt find any pictures of the promoted unit in japanese but I assume its still Viking.
It is still Viking. Lisa's class is arbalest and she is obviously not a frog. Also her bro the desert german landshark.
>Damage calculation is (Attack - Defense) * (Potency / 100)
Huh, I thought it was (Attack * Potency / 100) - Defense. So a 3 x 40 potency attack is actually a 1 x 120, just with a chance of partially missing. I stand corrected.
Where do things like Retaliation Earrings figure into this? Their wording is specifically + damage, not potency. It can't be flat damage, because you'd just instantly kill most things if it was.
It's potency
That's simplifies it
Multihit attacks are generally way better than single target. Rolling Slash is cracked. Meteor Slash is too but you need to compensate for SM low ATK and make it unguardable to truly shine.
The expanded damage formula (found with lots of testing) is:
>[(P.ATK*b - P.DEF*b) + (MATK*b - MDEF*b)] * P
Conferrals and rapport bonuses will change things in a way I'm not totally confident to share right now, but the above will cover the vast majority of damage situations. Obviously you ignore either M.ATK or P.ATK if it's not hybrid damage.
b = buffs
P = potencies
Aubin is a Viking *because* he left the desert and went sailing. If he'd stayed he would've been a Sellsword/Landsknecht like Magellan
That actually makes perfect sense.
>in UO the one Viking is a guy from the desert
His whole thing is about sailing around though
Can we all agree that this was just a fun side game and does not need a sequel?
You can argue that they might use the game's engine and reuse assets to save on budget for another game, but yeah, no sequel is fine. And VW has already set a precedent for that. I think they tied whatever loose ends they had fairly nicely.
An update / expansion / DLC would be nice though, to flesh out endgame or even a new game+. Maybe add some of those cut out classes like that sexo belly dancer from the previous thread.
No frick you give me the pike and shot game that was envisioned in the concept art
Play symphony of war then.
I did, and I enjoyed the mechanics for that too. It obviously doesn't have the scripting complexity this game has, but I really enjoyed the unit mobility system and the formation/cover mechanics. Dogshit art and story though, making it overall worse than UO.
Play Banner of Maid.
Unironically, play it. It's absolutely fantastic.
They were cut to focus on more important characters, like Sharon and Galadmir.
If you ever put Sharon on the same level as Galadmir again I’ll gut you like a fish
Nothing wrong with hiring good units from good classes and making consistent teams than forcing yourself to use free handouts for the sake of using those.
stop redoing your army from scratch every time

Kamidori? It was a fun ecchi rpg with dogshit story but really fun gameplay and progression. I played it a very long time ago so maybe it wasn't as good as I remember it being.

It's probably the greatest ever HRPG. And a miracle of translation that we got a full translation out before the project got shut down.

Any way to make Josef, Hodrick and Renault work in a squad?
Josef is a lost cause until you hit lvl 46, where he starts becoming good again.
Is Late Josef seriously good? I‘m only at like level 36 and I feel my Josef hasn‘t been good since I hit level 18. Dude has paper phys defenses and almost no damage.
at level 50 he'll have the same stats as sainted knights since from 41-50 his level-up stat gains spike wildly to catch up
I wouldn't bother
By that time, you can recruit the generic Paladin at Gran Corrin who is lv 35 I believe.
Should I put the guardian gloves on Lex so he can frontline instead of just being an arrow interceptor? It's just silly how his class doesn't mesh with his personality.
If you have his level 25 skill, yeah. Otherwise, no way.
Arrow cover not scaling to row/column arrow cover when Archers and Elven Archers get full column/row shots was an amazing way to make an already-niche class completely useless.
Honestly, if Archers had better AI they'd be a nightmare unit for backlines.

I wish it was easier to reduce initiative
swordmasters are way too fast for their own good and they *already* get a battle-opener anyway
The dragonbone weapons are very helpful in that regard in the midgame, and later on you can use fevrite to make them your "Stat" weapon.
So does meteor slash ruin the sword masters damage because it does so little damage per hit? I've never used the class past drakenhold.
I have a very effective swordmaster squad. Meteor slash is turned off, it's a meme skill only good against Galerius. Keen strike is vastly superior to it and costs less.
Its actual usage is after charged impetus and a magic buff or conferall
I genuinely think it's a meme, but some people stand by setting up entire teams around it purely because SMs are cute
based. making bad stuff usable because of cuteness should be a priority.
How to use Swordmasters
>Set their ETB skill to only fire if there's no armoured units present
>Set all their other skills to only fire if there's no armoured units present
>Delete the armoured units with your counters
>Swordmaster now sweeps the rest
Or give them a magic sword in one hand with which to attack armors. Most physical classes lose power in their class attacks if they wield magic weapons, since magic swords have much lower phys. attack bonuses, but Swordmasters can have the best of both worlds if they wield a sword in their other hand.
Also true. I used Sylph's bane for my offhand to delete flyers, and used Magic Conferral until I got Trinity Rain anyway
Got Melisandre the sword that does a row attack against fliers for 2 AP. And if she doesn't use it, then she gets + 20 Evasion out of it. It's neat.
Magic Sword does nothing without Conferral
Against armors? It's plenty, especially if you have a crit boosting weapon in the other hand.
As in none of the swordmasters attacks have any mag potency. Without Conferral, you simply won't do magic dmg even with a magic sword equipped.
The runic blade comes with magick attack, anon.
Yeah, use the 150 potency magical attack the fricking weapon gives you for armors and your regular attacks for everyone else.
The phantom sword in the hands of a swordmaster can kill hoplites.

What's a good archer setup that doesn't use charge attacks?
Why does everyone think Leah is autistic?
Because that word lost all and every meaning.
Though, having one weird interest somewhat qualifies for it. But that's just humans are. You can be a functional person and still do weird stuff.
Probably also because they barely interacted with her, and don't know how good she is at expressing her own emotions, which is something truly autistic people would have troubles with
>My Prince, let me speak with my sister
>I wonder what she meant by that
>Alain, please let me talk to that blonde stranger who broke me out of jail
>A mystery for the ages
Yeah, it's weird how all these NPCs have throwaway lines like that that don't lead anywhere. Like how there were all those scenes with Primm and Aramis, but then Aramis just dies and no one ever mentions him again.
Does anyone know what the conversation Nigel has available in the final battle is meant to be? I assume it's supposed to be with Sanatio, but I've never actually seen it because who the frick would use Sanatio.
Yeah he has a conversation with Sanatio.
What do they say?
Nothing too interesting. Something like Sanatio just making a comment about how he's surprised that Nigel is there and left the Basilica alone. They have brief conversation. Should've screencapped it
should I make a pure flyer team
The only advantage would be a little bit of extra mobility, in exchange for having zero recourse against archers and swordmasters.

You, are gei. You are gei.
>tfw Queen Dinah gets the zoomies and runs around the castle grounds all day
>You'll never have a wife that suddenly starts sprinting around the house for no reason
Why live?
human women a shit, what's even the point
Every time
And I'd do it again.
>Implying Josef would even list her as an option
I like Dinah but let's be real.
Aubin should've been a girl. I want my brown desert waifu.
Also
>blackest dude
>gets to be the VIKANG class
what did vanillaware mean by this
Let the man cosplay.
The Vandals briefly ruled North Africa, close enough.
Female Aubin would’ve been too powerful, nobody would ring anyone else.
How the hell would marry some smelly brown skinned desert Viking girl?
>How the hell would marry some smelly brown skinned desert Viking girl?
Well first you get take her to the shrine of the unicorn, then you whip out the ring and propose and after you suppress revolts from angry peasantcels who don’t want to accept your desert rose of a wife you settle down in blissful unicorn approved marriage
She should have been recruitable and romancable
she is recruitable just not romanceable, why would you want your grand fathers sloppy seconds anyway, Yahna has literally the exact same body
Is discharge even worth it with a single buff?
single target attacks are lame and gay, its never worth it outside of Galarius fight
Is Feathersword the worst class in the game?
That title is reserved for the Girlfailures
No, Vanguard is
Blocking arrows is a meme, just kill enemy archers with your other squads/make your flying squad kill or disable the archers before they attack
Have a hard time believing someone can outdo Vanguard in that department.
Nah, they are quite tanky in both having good evasion (especially against melee attacks from grood) and a shield, they buff themselves and are good recipients for buffs so that they can go for single-target kills with their discharge.
They aren't the greatest, but fun to pull off.
I really like this song actually, I just wish I knew the lyrics, I cant understand mumbling like that.
I can't find the lyrics online. Trying to decipher them could be a project for the community.
What weapons did you upgrade?
anything below 20 potency that i was still using, and pretty much all the shields i use
Rune sword since Sainted Knights need the help.
Railnor and Roselinde cured my racism
Colm Gaming.
What happens if you make it rain in Drakengard?
Have you seen videos of what happened to Dubai recently? Basically that
Oh no, Gilbert is gonna start building luxury hotels in the middle of the desert while the poor continue to suffer? I thought he and Gloucester were bros
Gotta accommodate all those Cornians vacationing there ever since Alain married that desert tras- I mean hidden gem Liza. Please understand a rising tide lifts all boats :^).
>Lhinalagos acts like an older man
>he was a childhood friend of Eltolinde
These elves are pedos, aren’t they
Yeah, wasn't it obvious?
The actual funny part is that Railanor and Ithilion are implied to be the younger ones. The actual thiccest elf and the elf guy who romances a human without actually looking like a pedo.
Shag the hag
that is a small cup, I bet Liza scammed her again
How long until this game goes on sale? I wanna play soon
It’s already 30$ moron
>Making Leah kick Ludwig's ass nets you Ludwig + his pendant
>Making Primm talk to him nets you a nice cutscene with Primm
Decisions, decisions...
>What are "medium" and "heavy" guards in terms of skills then? I would assume medium is 50% and heavy is 75%
That's correct. Light or no shield is 25%
Bit of contradiction here, so is it 25-50-75 for base-medium-heavy (shields adding to a base 25% reduction) or is 25 shared between no shield and light shield?
Either way, it seems to me that Great shield classes want to chuck any self guard skills later on because they can get their innate rate pretty high and it's not worth spending pp for such redundancy.
They still would need to use PP abilities to shield others.
Sure, but what I mean is that self guarding skills are redundant for them, and their PP should only be expended to shield others.
>Great shield classes want to chuck any self guard skills later
I'm a moron and this was also my assumption. Excluding things that refund PP like anti-cav vs. cav attackers.
Guard skills are a waste of PP unless they provide an additional bonus.
They should only proc if guard fails. Parry and arrow guard do it.
Guard efficiency doesn't stack that way.
Does Virginia get Heavy Guards since she gets shield substats and all shields have 25% efficiency?
They don't stack
Swordmasters don't get stats from both swords either
swordmasters do get substats from both swords though
Only the highest value counts
False.
Main stats (physical attack for weapons, magical attack for weapons, defence for shields, guard rate for shields, guard efficiency) don't stack. Everything else does.
I'll watch over this thread with all my heart!
Cornia and Elheim, united together forever!
Josef, look a little happier! The people love elves!
>i gave up having kids but my boy bagged an elf princess
>Worth it
Is he not smiling?
Why is Ilenia so flat?
Veggie bros... I don't feel so good...
Alain was a very thirsty baby, it couldn’t be helped
