I... I just restored the final town in all of Fevrith. I was getting sick of this game in the last third of it, but now that I'm staring down the final battle, I'm sad its going to be over. What a truly great video game.
Also, what the hell do I do with Amalia? I just got her and she died before she could do anything in her first battle
I get it now, she just had really low Initiative compared to everyone else in the unit so she didnt get to do anything before dying to fire damage. She hits really fricking hard, just have to plan on her being late in the rotation to clean up whoever is left
Is there a way to reliably use a trapper's longbow team with arbalests or is it a meme?
All I want is a ranged assist team that can sort of defend itself without dying to every enemy unit that touches it.
I had a team of 1 of every archer class + Gilbert and they demolished almost every enemy encounter, but I never used arrow rain >Rolf row shoots and pursuits >Ridiel freezes and damages armored enemies >Liza pursuits, tanks whoever survives and heals the elf archer when the battle ends for group heals >Gilbert makes the entire team attack before the enemy, makes pursuits stronger and uses powerful call on AoE attacks
I think I had a thief for blind and then Dinah for extra damage filling the last spot until I got a featherbow
I've been styling all over Albion with Rolf and a Trapper's Warbow, in a 4-man squad and before Bastorias at that. Don't see why an Arbalist should be any different, fundamentally. Charge squads are all about finding the correct balance of initiative, buffs, and counters to decimate the enemy before they can land an attack.
If you're not cat hooding, use Sandstorm. If your charger's too slow, find ways to boost their initiative. If Vanguards are cucking you, add in some high initiative Warrior smashy-smash. Etc.
One of my best teams in Expert run was 5 archers. > Yunifi front to dodgetank, procc triple counter & use Thief Cloak to evade > Angel Archer blinding shit and making team very mobile > Half-Elven Archer doing Mystic Conferral on Yunifi, making everyone immune to afflictions > Liza with one of the unique Crossbows smashing columns, shielding backline and healing party at the end of combat (triggers elven archer heal as well) > Rolf just smashing backrow with standard Row attack, decimating fliers with aerial counters and occasional pursuits
I tended to switch angel archer and liza front/back between encounters.
You don’t need charge attacks for that. Somehow this team was able to kill all enemies but it is very Passive-hungry, you need +2PP for at least two characters.
In the end assists were not even worth it - team is good on its own.
Oh man, I'm watching all these lvl3 rapport convos right now trying to decide who to marry, and its only making it more difficult. I never expected to fall for Chloe at all, but her scenes are so fricking cute. I also just did Scarlett (possessive childhood friend cannot win) and Yunifi who is so damn perfect as well. All this time I've been playing the game thinking Yahna is pretty much a lock, now I don't know at all
Next you'll tell me that you missed Gilbert and you didn't get both the bear and wolf.
Holy shit you can miss Gil? He's so fricking useful, that would've sucked. I didn't get the bear, he was a cuck, i just hired my own. Barely use furries to begin with
Yes, numerous people have missed Aramis which leads to missing Gilbert and other Drakenhold recruits. >I didn't get the bear, he was a cuck, i just hired my own.
That means you missed the best mission in Bastorias though.

I did that mission, i just chose to side with the wolf. I tried the middle path, it looked like a pain in the ass, so i loaded and just kicked the bears ass. By the time i got to Bastorias the game was already wearing out its welcome for me

The bear was wrong, by the way. He had no place in my army to begin with, same as the thief

And by not taking the middle path you don't get to have Alain assert dominance over both by beating them both while calling them morons.

You would have killed more of them by taking the middle path.
>Clicked no instead of yes >Saved and moved on instead of reloading an old save >How was I supposed to know??
Are you Darksydephil I've heard so much about?
Some of those options are locked behind battle conversations, which you may miss if you just kill everything instead of limping a shitty guest unit over to the boss.
When the mission started, she said come out and see me and I said no, but I sent Alain's unit to talk to her in the battle afterword so I thought that would be good enough. I mean, I'm not meeting with the fricking enemy because they're a cute girl, this is a war. When you beat her she says something like "Maybe we'll meet again in someday" so i thought I might see her again like some of the other more annoying characters, but I was wrong. Doesn't really bother me though because I benched both my sword masters ages ago, they suck
>try to take on Alains grandfather (already forgot the name) >watch it to see how it goes >defeat him, but no wipe >try some different squads, no wipe >go back to Alain >this time it's a wipe
The difference? That time ghost-Alain decided to guard the vanguard instead of the knight when Alain used his spin2win on him.
Ergo: vanguards were a mistake.
>Ergo: vanguards were a mistake.
They are only okay up to level 16, then they fall off hard. Kept Lex around cause he's cool but a Bear, a Hoplit, a Feathershield, any other tank would've been better.
I use him as a buff-bot in the flier-frontline unit, and to catch the occasional arrow. Also because my elfen fencers and shields are busy somewhere else.
>want to use her >clerics are useless in optimized squads, their only damage contribution is active heal >saint knights are better healers who also make the squad faster and can damage a bit
damn
I have always fricking hated games that give you the best/coolest weapon at the very end, so you have no time or reason to use it. Now, its happened to be but in the female form - so disappointing
I did but I figured she'd trivialize things so I never used her. Only realized how wrong I was when my level caught up.

>at the very end
Thieves and burn stacking brah, then you can kill her at lvl 20 easily.
I find her perfectly fine. She does pretty high dmg with her absurdly high attack stat. Would've been neat if we could temporarily use her powered up form (maybe a 3 cost valor ability?).
She's just a worse Landskneckt imo. Even less initiative, and her passive toolkit is worse. They're both late battle cleaners but Landy does it better.
She's sturdier, true, but Landy's are no Vikings, they can hang in the front. Not that there's any reason for them to.

Are Vikings good? I kinda glossed over them because they seemed mediocre while Ladsharks could do crazy wipes with Killing Chain.

Their damage is good and their durability is awful, but they provide really effective utility; their attacks reduce enemy physical defense, war horn effectively guard seals the entire enemy team, and their valor skill goes from useful in a clutch to one of the best in the game once it becomes AoE.
Anonymous
My issue with the utility is that they spend too much AP to do what Druids do with a single Defensive Curse.
One thing I'll give you is that Vitality 2 is fricking cracked. The only problem is that you get a lot of camping sets for free.
Anonymous
Like Gilbert, the advantage is that a lot of enemies have abilities to clear out debuffs, such as refresh or quick cure; very few have the ability to remove your buffs, so war horn is much more likely to stick.

I mean, comparing any utility to Shaman as a yardstick is pointless. Everyone knows they're simply broken.
You can be fast without being Usain Bolt.

War Horn is better than DEF curse considering it's basically free and doesn't get countered by clerics.
Anonymous
Druids don't debuff the entire field, just one row. Honestly I think both are weirdly a little overrated, in terms of debuffs. I can't think of a lot of enemies you NEED to, outside of very tough solo bosses (Amalia, Galerius). I wish either of them had a cover seal, then they'd be as broken as people actually say.
Anonymous
People are also factoring Sandstorm Staff. Which you don't have to use every fight, but if the enemy has no debuff purge it's literally over action 1
2 weeks ago
Anonymous
Yeah, that's a good one. I don't know though, I just never felt the brokenness of Druids. Most enemies have shit defenses and garbage stats. The few that don't are more annoying for their cover abilities than their raw stats. If you move first, you kill 90% of fights effortlessly just with simple bread-and-butter buffs.
Anonymous
Defensive curse is not overrated by any means. It gives you more than double damage in most scenarios.
Guard seal itself is, however, as really only Cavalry and Armors are a pain due to their defenses, damage reduction from shields, and high guard rate.
Anonymous
Someone would need to point out to me what it's supposed to actually counter. It obviously doesn't help much against enemies with low defenses - i.e. the vast majority. So where does it make an actual important difference, that another damaging party member couldn't have made?
Anonymous
Offensive curse at least on Expert seems more useful. Defensive curse is overkill usually while Offensive basically turns off their damage.
Anonymous
Well the beauty of it is that since it's all on the same unit, it offers incredible flexiblity and a single druid can shut down an encounter. Even Passive Curse can sometimes be the difference from losing to winning and taking no damage.

This. With shaman, if you're ever losing you can adjust your tactics a bit and guarantee things swap around.
You can say that about most classes, but it goes triple for shaman.

Vikings are OP lol. War horn is amazing and they have high attack stats and initiative letting them hit rows fast with their 1 ap row attack.
Their only weakness is dogshit defense but that doesn't matter.

Early game they're actually quite stellar because a 120 power row attack as early as they get it is very useful. They fall off afterwards however, not to the point of uselessness but other classes and especially equipment skills offer better AOE. War Horn is good in theory but... a bunch of the unique classes have equally good start of battle limited skills and you'll probably spread them out, so between those and the typical max initiative setups you'd need a niche squad build to make use of it.
If only she had something that could hit rows, or if the game had a chargeable sword attack.
Yeah if only she had better AOE, or a better passive kit. Penetrate isn't terrible and Omega Shatter is Bastards Cross with tradeoffs, but her heavy guard skill is a meme, the kick isn't far behind, so her only passive skill is one that exists to make omega shatter just overkill a single target.
>Just wish she was a better unit
She's a great unit if you get her when you're around level 20.

her setup is self explanatory, but I think she needs a row stunner + the max init shield user guarding her so she goes early with penetrate. I run her but without a row stunner she keeps getting cucked by cover squads
>penetrate
Column attacks in general are meh, don't even feel worth setting up for. It works for cavs because they can easily be made fast and work in self synergistic unison to eventually kill everything.
Column attacks always feel devastating in the hands of the enemies against my squads to the point where I'm always making sure not to put my squishiest character behind any front row. I find the best way to set up Penetrate is to make it so that it's only used on a Full column with average >75% HP. Anything that's still that healthy by the time her turn rolls around needs to be dealt with as it's probably an annoying combination of healer + armored.

I think column attacks are nice because the game tends to put annoying units at the back like featherbows and casters. If you can truestrike 2 of them even if the frontline survives, their squad is pretty much neutered and your comp just cleans up the leftovers
Unfortunately I am doing an execution run and it would make little sense for my Alain to side with the nice bear that wants no violence.
He's a bro and one of the best written characters, but he'll be seeing his son when I get to him.
She's not callous, she's forthright. That's why she's the perfect Queen, because she knows how to command and to rule, and she also completely respects and submits to Alain's rule. You can't possibly do her rapports with Alain and say she's callous.
I unironically love Glou's Dork Knight
It's funny to watch him soak up 5 attacks, then cleave one-shot with Dark Flame as he slurps the HP back to full
Yea, the wyverns are cool as hell, reminds me a lot of the ones you fight in Dragon's Crown. Fran and Hilda have been fricking up everything in their path for most of my file, I gave them each their own unit and one generic of the same type and nothing can stop them
Vikings. I made one with a black and green motif to be literally me.

>Werebear and Gladiator
classes with flaws that, when fixed, are good and useful = top tier design >Sniper
genuinely surprised me how incredible and versatile they are, coming from FE where they're infamously SHIT; they start off fairly weak but grow into powerhouses with access to built-in true strikes, a row attack, and a phenomenal charge attack, I use them constantly now >Landsknecht
Just complete chads, down to the look. Not the most useful class outside of teams purpose-built for them, but just insanely strong single target hitters and AP generators; great in freeze teams as clean-up
>Landsknecht
I wish the males could have female shields. I prefer the male design overall but their tiny bucklers aren't as cool as a tower shields with a spot for heraldry.
The ladysknechts have a cooler sword in the flamberge, but their legs creep me out a bit. I'm not against muscle girls, but theirs look kinda tumorous. It's funny that the guys are such a blatant Berserker ripoff and it works.
Galerius is the biggest jobber in this game >Loses to your mom >Losses to lv 10 Alain and has to to saved by Daddy Baltro >Despite getting on a horse, loses to Lex and 4 Vanguards >Canonically never wins a fight.
I like Yahna and Alain's rapport mirroring that of Alcina and Gerard's relationship, but it would've been nice to add Alcina to the mix too.
I'm a bit of a sucker for those reincarnation romances.

If Ochlys was fully willing to murder Mandrin and pin the blame on a bandit, what do you think the elves would have to say about Alcina and Gailey suddenly switching sides?
What the frick is he even doing while Alain is strolling around Fevrith? After surrounding Cornia is liberated he should be on high alert. By the time Drakenhold is liberated the should be a continent wide call to arms rallying troops to pin down and finish Alain even if it means losing some territory elsewhere.
That's the problem with having the order you can liberate countries be so open. While it's great that you can sequence break it also limits how the story plays out. This is most apparent when you start noticing that characters never talk in cutscenes outside of the country you recruit them in. Kinda sucks and I wish they just toggled a flag for a few characters on whether or not they can appear depending on if you have them recruited or not.
>Loses to your mom
That was such a fricking twist, I was laughing so hard. The whole time you think you're gearing up to fight possessed Valmore and instead he got fricking dunked on by Ilenia's last stand.
1. Arbalestier/Shieldshooter, because it play so differently from the other archer classes, and I like big number. Also smoke bolt is great.
2. Swordmaster; Swordfighter are a one-note class and swordmasters would too if you played them the same way, but that extra slot gives them a versatility you wouldn't normally expect that allows them to fill important roles from utility to anti-air to anti-armor.
3. Warrior/Breaker. Big Girl/Cool old dude, Huge Hammer, and a class that makes slow/stall teams worth it.
She's very cute. The funniest thing about her rapport chain is that it all takes place in the same patch of sand in Drakenhold, suggesting that either Liza fell in love in a relatively short period of time, or Alain has been visiting the desert repeatedly to hear her talk about it.
I thought I was only ever going to use Dinah, but I now end up making a whole team of werefoxes with the wolfpack gauntlets when I get them. Fun watching them go.
>"That may be, but I'm keeping my eye on you." >"That goes for ALL you nonhumans." >"Elves, Bestrals, Angels... I'll not have rapport with any of you!"
Josef arranged things so Alain had access to 4 Cornia noblewomen and the daughter of the pope
And then he goes and picks someone worse than a bestral, a Drakenholdian
>Eltolinde

Exactly the same. >Ridiel
Clearly no respect for herself, or others, working with both sides and selling information... Possibly not pure, and makes no promises what she'll do with the Kingdom after Alain passes
May as well post my team, since I'm almost done. The strongest characters are in my Magic/Archery/Flying units, Alain's and Gil's are mostly to clean up and get valor points
The last two units were just leftovers for most of the time, but recently Liza's become really useful, since I needed smoke bolt a lot for the goddamn healers in Albion. Still dont care for the furry unit, but Ramona is nice for flying over mountains to provide healing assists
>True Zenoiran run >Be in Darkenhold >Recently unlock promotions, did all the quests before the Colosseum, dipped a few toes into Elfheim and get Ridel early to get an archer without needing to prmote >I really wish I had Yunifi right now >See the Bastorias gate ocer there, 10 levels above me >Try it anyways, frick it >Enter basotriaa way earlier >Go over and see the first chapter to get Yunifi and see if it's feasable >Realize the boss is only a short walk away, Hastened cavs can literally rush to his area, kill the bishops in the tower, and attack the boss >Make team specifically to cuck the gimmick of the boss >Get the Bastorias castle super easily

I wonder if you can do one of those high level cornian liberations really early with a purpose made squad and just soak in exp from rookie egg/royal order/liquid fortune
No better than the likes of FRAN, who is the only flattie of HER class type!
What does this say about Cornian royalty?
I'll leave that up to you. But do NOT marry any woman resembling her! That includes a very close cousin of Alain's!
Man, a lot of these rapport convos are really heavy and personal. I kinda regret not going out of my way to see them sooner, all this would've really added to the story as it was going on

Lol, lmao. My amazing taste in women never fails, no matter the dimension
Also, I heard that Ramona leaves you if you marry her as well, was that wrong?
>Also, I heard that Ramona leaves you if you marry her as well, was that wrong?
The thing is a fair few of the girls/rapports are explicitly not romantic and so the endings aren't romantic.
Ramona and Galadmir are like that, and strangely enough Titania is too. It's a bit of a trap honestly, but it's pretty clear who's got romance and who isn't. Titania is the only real "Surprise, it's platonic" one. Monica, Hilda and Berengaria leave in their endings though, which feels a bit unfair.
>The thing is a fair few of the girls/rapports are explicitly not romantic and so the endings aren't romantic.
Which is hilarious, given what the ring and ritual explicitly stand for.

BERENGARIA DOESN'T LEAVE YOU IN HER ENDING.
I don't even like this character but some dekinai idiot misunderstood the Japanese ending slide and people have been repeating this ever since.
And I know you're all NTR freaks trolling for (You)s but some people might get the wrong idea.
Same thing as the English version as far as I'm aware. Alain suggests to her that she reform the tricorns and she goes to see her off when they go do their tricorn bullshit.
What the frick version of UO did you play?
She literally leaves (you)
I'm going by that one Japanese screenshot that somebody posted since I'm not planning to ring her edgelord stripper ass.
She still leaves as queen and the ending sucks.
I don't care if Alain visits her merc band frequently, that's still a shit ending and her rapports with everyone other than Travis and Bruno are bad.
Then what does it say? You can read it and provide proof to us peons,
yes?

English: She's a shit Queen and Alain tells her to go reform the Tricorn Mercenaries.
Japanese: Alain realises her skills are wasted as Queen and asks her to go reform the Tricorn Mercenaries. He was always happy anytime he visited her.
>Alain realises her skills are wasted as Queen and asks her to go reform the Tricorn Mercenaries.
Yes. >He was always happy anytime he visited her. >visited
No. That's not what 見送る means.
Are you really trying to create and unleash a new autist upon this thread
Just got this Assassins Nail sword, how would you build around it?
Auto crits at 150 potency during the night and inflicts blindness.
But it costs 2Ap, so is it trash? I'm guessing Govil wants it.
>highly conditional 2ap single target
It's trash. A 2ap single target is already pushing it, but some classes make it work with raw power (ie Bastards Cross and Omega Shatter)
Making it conditional on top of that is bad. >blind
Who gives a shit, whatever you're hitting is supposed to either explode or will be some guarding class taking 3 damage anyway.
>inherent 2x damage to infantry(read: most enemies) >self buffing through cavalry call >column damage+stun >killstreaking with its other two skills >all this while sturdy enough to comfortably sit in the front row
While their true power is friendship, great knights are just great in general, no unit is worse for having one.
Pretty much the perfect physical class >Highest movement, is going to be your main leader 90% of the time >Solid defenses and a shield, fantastic front row >2x danage agains most enemies >1 AP colum attack that stuns >AP refreshing finisher attack >Has row-wide buffs that targets not only itself but multiple classes (Dank Knight, Saint Knight, Alain, Joseph) >Colum pursuit
Even if you just slap them for the sake of movement then you can turn off their cav skills and equip gear that gives them cooler passives like Counter or Banishing Pursuit.
I'm in Albion and STILL using the Lightning Shaker spear, haven't even unlocked upgrades yet. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more, but maybe I shouldn't be because the sheer freedom of choice in this game makes it impossible to know every good setup. It's fantastic in a cav stack >gives row damage to a class which normally has none >unconditional 100 phys potency alone would be fine for early to mid game, but it also has 100 magical potency and the lance gives a decent chunk of magic attack, which doesn't just add a smidge of damage but rather works to greatly increase efficacy against armors >this is just the damage however, and it also comes with stun
It's like a self sufficient Conferral setup
I put it on my highest initiative Great Knight and anything he doesn't outright kill gets cav pursuit into oblivion. I have to experiment with Gilbert a bit but I think with sniper order and royal order this can bypass their flying counters.
I was made fun of once for suggesting Silver Trident is broken when used by Great Knights - the reasoning: GKs are "supposed to be" column attackers, durr. Written in their DNA I guess. One anon didn't even know it did physical damage as well as magic, he thought Shaker was a pure magic attack, and was utterly confident it was trash that should never be used for this reason.
Just an anecdote to keep in mind when you're wondering why things go overlooked, while other things get memed to death.
I'm just baffled how long it's been since I've gotten it and how I see no reason to replace it. Normally I scoff at mixed damage skills but that's because they're either shit like 75/75 on classes without the offensive boosting passives of cavs or require dedicated setups like Elemental Roar, but this is 100/100, targets an entire row, and comes with 16/8 patk/matk so the damage just never falls off like I'm expecting it to.
It's pretty dumb. I used it through all of Bastorias to one-shot rows of werefoxes and werewolves, and just about anything else on two legs. Didn't even run it with a cavstack, it was just Clive getting conferred or called, and using Eagle Eye for evadegays. There's very few things this won't melt.
>Alain actually beats her 1v1 in their ring scene
It's nice having an actual Chad for a protagonist. Nevermind the femdom infestation, the real appeal of big strong women is to defeat them and stuff them into a wedding dress.
>Rosalinde telling Lex that even though she's much longer lived than him it's hurtful to be told she reminds him of his grandmother >Lex misunderstanding her and talking about how Rosalinde reminds her of someone who can create the kind of world that would make his grandmother smile, since she's just the same type as her >Rosalinde offering a formal apology
Recruiting is always the best option with a few exceptions >jailing Gammel gives good money but you miss Madrin >executing Madrin gives you 15 divine shards but you miss out on his unique pursuit earring >telling Monica to frick off gives you 30 divine shards, you don't miss out on anything special >killing Aramis with Leah lets you recruit him and gives you an extra lapis pendant
Seems like a case by case basis then. Units themselves aren't really important (you can recruit pre optimized mercs) but I see that some accessories come with certain recruits. The pursuit earring in particular is interesting, even though I can't think of a good use for it. Id want to combine it with the shield and sword but the only class to use all of those and come with pursuit is... paladin lol.
>telling Monica to frick off gives you 30 divine shards, you don't miss out on anything special
Wrong, you miss out on Monica who might be the most unique romance in the game (NTRing Clive)
>Wrong, you miss out on Monica who might be the most unique romance in the game (NTRing Clive)
It's not even a romance though, she doesn't become Queen and leaves after.
Skipping Gammel and Mandrin is a bad trade since keeping them alive enables one of the easiest sequence breaks in the game. Mandarin also comes with an almost unique item too. I'd say Jeremy is worth killing for the gold you get, since you already have two sell swords and can recruit more.
Celestes' squad in her mission can solo the map if you keep gammel and mandrin alive, since the mission is at the entrance of elhiem, you can pick up the three of them as soon as you save scarlett.
Expert you can only use 10 items per battle. TZ you can only use 5 items per battle. Outside of that, I think it's just numbers. The game isn't very difficult no matter what difficulty you play on, so I recommend going as high as possible (Expert on first playthrough). You can downrank the difficulty at any time anyway (as long as you aren't playing on TZ, which you cannot do your first time)
Share teams. I just made a fun one.

> Mel or Angel eats random arrow. > Oh, you blinded me - here’s Pursuit or Quick Reload.
If rolling the dice everytime you meet an archer or spamming revival is your definition of fun, then sure.
Just don't fight archers with them? It's not supposed to counter every single enemy you run into. It's jsut a fun melee build using left over classes without using all your OP items which you'll want for your other main teams.
> Angel Archer is probably one of the strongest classes in game. > Bear is cool and easily fits into plenty of teams. > Swordfighter has her uses and if given anti-guard gauntlets she can do very well. She just needs a bit of protection from the likes of Vanguard. > Viking I have to admit that did fell off as Breaker is just better. But I did keep Aubin around I think until Unicorn Overlord mission.
In this case I am surprised you kept these guys as leftovers.
this pp killing comp I made by pure coincidence brought me from rank 5-1 in offline colosseum >gammel with sneak attack on highest atk >triple row blind with raenys and gammel >evade gloved triple counter yunifi in front >gryffin (normally celeste) doing gryffin things >mandrin just kills leftovers with row shot and pursuits
I never built full offense Rogue so I used Sneak Attack on armored or high-guard enemies to open up Active/Passive Steals. Can Rogue delete wizards with just Sneak? At which level did you complete the Arena? What difficulty is it?
I think I had that set too but just found highest matk more handy with pve comps (and a lot of my own). I never built atk rogue but I feel it'd be kind of a waste because his pp seal already goes a long way. >At which level did you complete the Arena? What difficulty is it?
expert. I think they were 30-31ish, I just recruited Raenys
Ah, so just like me! I did the first Arena run at lvl 20-25, second at 30.
I thought your goal is to kill the wizard - otherwise I fail to see why would you Passive Seal him over heavy armor guy. Magical Pursuits? Quick Cast interrupt?
>Magical Pursuits? Quick Cast interrupt?
pretty much, or he cucks one of the healers. I'm finishing up Albion so if tanks become an issue again I may change it. this team won't kill legions, but for now my thief has no issues with pp and almost always has enough to cast party heal
I never used Dark/Doom Knights in my entire playthrough since we only got one and I didn't have room for him in my squad at the time I got him.
Anytime I saw the enemy use them, they seemed decently tanky but they spent all their HP just to do a mediocre attack. So they really feel both incredibly fragile (your swordsman can just bonk them for 1 afterwards and they die) and like one shot wonders. Do you just constantly babysit them after that? Do you have to pair them with a healer?
They seem like total garbage, but I'm willing to be wrong.
when has the enemy ever, ever used their units/squads intelligently?
doom knights get tankier every time they take a hit and they get massive lifedrain. keep them fueled up with PP and they will practically never die. bring someone with parting resurrection just-in-case if you have to
gloucester also works amazingly with berengaria, can almost get an infinite AP/PP chain going if conditions are just right
I remember dismissing Gloucester early on because all i saw was a 150 damage, conditional, single target skill at a time where tools for keeping some dork at exactly deaths door were limited. I don't even know what dark flame is because I haven't promoted Gloucester and any dark knights I encounter just eat shit and die.
Doom knights require support for maximizing damage but they are very effective at nuking rows of almost any kind of unit. Their dark flame row nuke hits very hard even without PPs and with conferrals etc very little survives it. A single doom knight can very easily spam dark flame about 3 times with minimal support.
To balance it anything besides dark flame is trash and they get horrendous initiative.
They are among the best non-unique units in the game.
I felt dumb, I didn't block the gate in the Melisandre mission because I thought I was going to be able to capture it and would actually bar myself from entering that ever again area if i did.
Isn't that from overworld shamans slowing you down?
Ah, I see, it must be the first time I’ve been seen by one.
How long does it last I literally walked though two whole zones I’d already freed and it didn’t drop off until i went back and fought them.
>Highborn genes ensure that the royal bloodline won't be tainted >Isn't a filthy foreigner >Holy shit, just look how cute she is >Most fertile womb in all the lands >Hip ratio of the gods ensures at least 40 effortless births >Has Yahna's sexo outfit for nighttime operations >Human
She is literally the perfect queen.
Yeah but Chloe stays with Alain no matter what, so you know she'll happily attend to his needs whenever the queen has a headache. Maybe the queen's needs too, if you pick Scarlett or Ridiel.
I literally can't beat those Angel Archers. Can't do anything because blindness cucks every setup
Can't even cleanse because a single archer can blind the entire row at once and I've already wasted half my resources just trying to recover
Jeez
If only there was something that made you immune to blindness. Too bad there's no gear at all in the game that makes you immune to specific or multiple ailments. All you ever get is berets that raise damage.
Liberate the southern castle town first (Jerome). There's a side path in it taking you to a secluded spot with a furry forma del gato in it. Next to him is a tower. Check that tower. You'll need some common sense to make the treasure found there work.
Alternatively use a elf archer with Pure Field but that eats your start-of-battle
I like her, but she's not quite one of my favorites. For that matter, she's not quite my favorite angry hammer girl. She's probably my favorite knight of the rose, though, at least.
>Scarlett‘s Rapports
All her rapports are outside of Albion. It's true she becomes relevant again once you get there. That's the thing, you rescue her and she just barely appears until Albion, 30 hours later.
>Thus, Eltolinde joined Alain in Gran Corrine as his newly-crowned queen - and Cornia and Elheim quickly grew as united as the pair themselves. At peace with their differing lifespans, the two lived out their days in true tranquility.
I got these gloves that have Binding Guard, the only real purpose I see for them is for my Thief on his Row Attack, and then stack a bunch of melee in like Berengaria that benefit from afflicted targets that cant block?
Rogue has Sneak Attack later on which allows him to inflict Guard Seal at the start of fight - just so he can use Active/Passive Steal on the target.
I never found „great” way to use them. I mostly did use them on Alain, Melissandre and Aubin with extra Initiative.
Thighs too thin

Let me fix what OP messed up

AAAAIIEEEEEEE
Well, atleast elf birthrates are low and hags are infertile...
Sorry, Illenia. It's too late....
>tfw Ilenia walks in on this
How would she react
>IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME, NOT HER
D-Do elves really?
I really wonder if this even feels good. I don't think it would feel bad, of course, but I wonder if it feels good
I haven't been on the receiving end of it, but apparently it's ticklish good, good in the way that people lick nipples as foreplay.
What do you not get about her kit
I get it now, she just had really low Initiative compared to everyone else in the unit so she didnt get to do anything before dying to fire damage. She hits really fricking hard, just have to plan on her being late in the rotation to clean up whoever is left
She's basically just a worse landskneckt no?
Turn her into a Goldmine like I did, give her a Gold Egg and Bandit Longsword, throw in some other Gold Egg users
Why can't you turn her back into a lion girl?
Because we live in a cruel, unjust world. But at least you have Dinah as an option.
>Josef on fox wrangling duty for the rest of his life, not just the kids but the Queen herself

Would at least some of the pups have blue fur like Alain?
That kind of sounds adorable.

It was very rude of her to do this right there in front of Scarlet
This rapport was unfair, because it's practically impossible not to Ring Eltolinde after watching it. You'd have to be a monster.
It was just a dream. Or retroactively a dream if you did it before the ring
Handholding is rapport 2
Hugging is rapport 3
No, frick you.
By the time Alain rings any one woman, any other rapport with other woman is NON-CANON and DID NOT HAPPEN IN THAT UNIVERSE.
He is not a prostitute like the harem protagonists you watch from the animes.
What a shameless hussy!

WARNING WARNING WARNING
Illenia is flat.
Slandering the Queen is a VERY serious offense…
Then how did she feed Alain all the way until he was 7?
Surely Veggie wouldnt overexaggerate
This is the greatest squad ever made. Five swordmasters. Ten swords. More than enough to kill anything that moves.
Until you get cuck'd in Albion. Meteor Slash won't save you from none stop healing, blocking and blinding.
Swap 2 for Gilbert and Selvyi and you have an actually effective squad
>9x1x5 damage
Holy frick, my whole squad is DEAD (of cuteness)
>Is this appropriate attire for Bastorias climate?
Yes if your goal is to seduce southern princes.
Is there a way to reliably use a trapper's longbow team with arbalests or is it a meme?
All I want is a ranged assist team that can sort of defend itself without dying to every enemy unit that touches it.
If you're using Charge skills, the easy solution is to cat Hood it.
I had a team of 1 of every archer class + Gilbert and they demolished almost every enemy encounter, but I never used arrow rain
>Rolf row shoots and pursuits
>Ridiel freezes and damages armored enemies
>Liza pursuits, tanks whoever survives and heals the elf archer when the battle ends for group heals
>Gilbert makes the entire team attack before the enemy, makes pursuits stronger and uses powerful call on AoE attacks
> Yunifi front to dodgetank, procc triple counter & use Thief Cloak to evade
> Angel Archer blinding shit and making team very mobile
> Half-Elven Archer doing Mystic Conferral on Yunifi, making everyone immune to afflictions
> Liza with one of the unique Crossbows smashing columns, shielding backline and healing party at the end of combat (triggers elven archer heal as well)
> Rolf just smashing backrow with standard Row attack, decimating fliers with aerial counters and occasional pursuits
I tended to switch angel archer and liza front/back between encounters.
You don’t need charge attacks for that. Somehow this team was able to kill all enemies but it is very Passive-hungry, you need +2PP for at least two characters.
In the end assists were not even worth it - team is good on its own.
Reminder
Holy shit, Virginia is kinda flat.
She wears some heavy armor.
You know that you can squish and squash the booba if you wear something more rigid over them, right?
Notification
Oh man, I'm watching all these lvl3 rapport convos right now trying to decide who to marry, and its only making it more difficult. I never expected to fall for Chloe at all, but her scenes are so fricking cute. I also just did Scarlett (possessive childhood friend cannot win) and Yunifi who is so damn perfect as well. All this time I've been playing the game thinking Yahna is pretty much a lock, now I don't know at all
Got Nina, what now?
I'm the guy trying to decide who to marry, and I completely missed out on Nina and Melisandre.
But how?
Mistakes were made, but I only move forward.
By the time i got to Bastorias the game was already wearing out its welcome for me
>I tried the middle path, it looked like a pain in the ass, so i loaded and just kicked the bears ass.
Weak.
The bear was wrong, by the way. He had no place in my army to begin with, same as the thief
And by not taking the middle path you don't get to have Alain assert dominance over both by beating them both while calling them morons.
Not worth it, the bear was wrong, frick bastorias.
You would have killed more of them by taking the middle path.
Next you'll tell me that you missed Gilbert and you didn't get both the bear and wolf.
>missed out on both
Shame
>Clicked no instead of yes
>Saved and moved on instead of reloading an old save
>How was I supposed to know??
Are you Darksydephil I've heard so much about?
Some of those options are locked behind battle conversations, which you may miss if you just kill everything instead of limping a shitty guest unit over to the boss.
Based anon taking his illiterate peasant playthrough very seriously
>missing Melisandre
How? Did you bench Alain?
>missing Nina
Come on now
When the mission started, she said come out and see me and I said no, but I sent Alain's unit to talk to her in the battle afterword so I thought that would be good enough.
I paused and got Nina.
How old is she again?
At least 14, which is the minimum age to be a squire.
>Primm
>Celeste
>Chloe
These aren't even in my top 5 candidates and yet when I see them I seriously consider throwing everything away for them ...
HOW ARE THERE SO MANY GOOD GIRLS IN THIS GAME?!?!?
Rare footage of Chloe tard wrangling Queen Dinah and her werefox friends.
Anyone else replaying OB64?
>try to take on Alains grandfather (already forgot the name)
>watch it to see how it goes
>defeat him, but no wipe
>try some different squads, no wipe
>go back to Alain
>this time it's a wipe
The difference? That time ghost-Alain decided to guard the vanguard instead of the knight when Alain used his spin2win on him.
Ergo: vanguards were a mistake.
>Ergo: vanguards were a mistake.
They are only okay up to level 16, then they fall off hard. Kept Lex around cause he's cool but a Bear, a Hoplit, a Feathershield, any other tank would've been better.
I use him as a buff-bot in the flier-frontline unit, and to catch the occasional arrow. Also because my elfen fencers and shields are busy somewhere else.
>Changing character colors
This should’ve been a thing you unlock after beating the game so you can tell who already beat the game, that’s how I’m treating it at least.
>want to use her
>clerics are useless in optimized squads, their only damage contribution is active heal
>saint knights are better healers who also make the squad faster and can damage a bit
damn
Clerics have one (1) damaging move, Holy Smite via the unique Gleaming Mace.
>optimized squads
>not using the units you like and making them work anyways
I bet you have zero themed squads too.
I bet this homie didn't even get a merc to be his self insert/OC LMAO
>implying I didn't
I am in the game and lore accurate.
Most themed squads are already optimized, Clerics are just dead weight.
I bet you don't even use the canon party, lower your tone when speaking to me.
>uses the canon party but not the canon heraldry
Yeah but you only get two sainted knights.
You aren't using generics, are you?
It's funny how Amalia is this big huge scary serious woman at first, but she is actually a nice person and a cutie. Her voice too.
>holding one leg up in each hand like he's pushing open oak doors
Always love this analogy.
Just wish she was a better unit, I ringed her without hesitation but she's not exactly the best candidate.
>Just wish she was a better unit
She's a great unit if you get her when you're around level 20.
I have always fricking hated games that give you the best/coolest weapon at the very end, so you have no time or reason to use it. Now, its happened to be but in the female form - so disappointing
>he didn't get her the moment the Coliseum was unlocked
ngmi
I did but I figured she'd trivialize things so I never used her. Only realized how wrong I was when my level caught up.
>at the very end
Thieves and burn stacking brah, then you can kill her at lvl 20 easily.
I am the third poster in this thread, and I got her the other day. I have literally 1(one) sigil battle left, Gran Corrine, and a few Anemoi shrines
She can frontline comfortably with her greatshield and high hp and Def, landschnekt is kinda troll in front row
My issue with the utility is that they spend too much AP to do what Druids do with a single Defensive Curse.
One thing I'll give you is that Vitality 2 is fricking cracked. The only problem is that you get a lot of camping sets for free.
People are also factoring Sandstorm Staff. Which you don't have to use every fight, but if the enemy has no debuff purge it's literally over action 1
Defensive curse is not overrated by any means. It gives you more than double damage in most scenarios.
Guard seal itself is, however, as really only Cavalry and Armors are a pain due to their defenses, damage reduction from shields, and high guard rate.
Someone would need to point out to me what it's supposed to actually counter. It obviously doesn't help much against enemies with low defenses - i.e. the vast majority. So where does it make an actual important difference, that another damaging party member couldn't have made?
Offensive curse at least on Expert seems more useful. Defensive curse is overkill usually while Offensive basically turns off their damage.
War Horn alone is gamebreaking imo
Armor Down and Guard Ignore are both very good
You can make them a buff bawd besides their start of battle skill cause they don't need their PP for much else
If only she had something that could hit rows, or if the game had a chargeable sword attack.
her setup is self explanatory, but I think she needs a row stunner + the max init shield user guarding her so she goes early with penetrate. I run her but without a row stunner she keeps getting cucked by cover squads
Um.............. womenotherthanamalia-bros???? explain this canon
Alain is a (pit)bawd who says that about every woman with useful skills
Alain is kind of a hypocrite acting like Celeste says accidentally too romantic things is wierd when he's fricking doing it all the time.
Alain seemed open to the idea of polygamy at first considering how he reacted to Melisandre. But the unicorn scared him straight
The reason cavs column attacks work is they still run over anything getting defended since most guarding units are infantry
I think column attacks are nice because the game tends to put annoying units at the back like featherbows and casters. If you can truestrike 2 of them even if the frontline survives, their squad is pretty much neutered and your comp just cleans up the leftovers
Only if they don't kill, removing two enemies from the fight is great
Amazing how someone can be a complete moron and still shill their coping this much lmao
Protect the Chloe
Nah, I'd pat.
I mean plap
Unfortunately I am doing an execution run and it would make little sense for my Alain to side with the nice bear that wants no violence.

These are the canon wives. If you didn’t ring one of these you didn’t beat the game
>picking one of the npc normie choices
Too bad, I went with Miriam
I ringed Travis.
Imagine thinking the king is a royal dog fricker is at all canon.
I don’t make the rules anon. Blame the devs for making it real
Based VanillaWare making this top-tier girl and giving her loads of dialogue.
He's a fox elf fricker actually
Why would the king marrying the best girl NOT be canon?
Remove Ochlys, add Melisandre, and yes, that is the canon list.
Ochlys is top tier. That bawd Melisandre sucks
NTA but whatchu say, homie.
t. blasphemous fool
Except the best girl is CLEARLY Miriam
Who?
Lady knight enjoyers are a persecuted species, and this game is a blessing
>but Veggie
No. Her callousness is ill-befitting.
She's not callous, she's forthright. That's why she's the perfect Queen, because she knows how to command and to rule, and she also completely respects and submits to Alain's rule. You can't possibly do her rapports with Alain and say she's callous.
Is there a big difference between the PS5 and Switch versions?
I can buy the PS5 if it's a big difference or emulate it with Ryujinx (at 4K).
if you can emulate it, why buy the PS5 version? Switch for bed otherwise
The performance is identical but the non-switch versions have ever-so-slightly higher-res art.
Where does the horse come from?
The UNICORN comes from the ring
Who’s idea was it to strap a horn on it?
LEAVE IT TO LEX
Honestly, I could see it being Lex
He then stares at the camera as he calls Alain a lord...the Unicorn Overlord™
Judging from the spin-move? That's not even a horse, so probably outer space.
So what ended up being your favorite unit type? I'd have to go with the obvious gryphon master, theyre just too fricking good
Sergeants fit into literally any squad.
You say that and yet I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with her at the moment.
Chuck her in a team with the trinity staff user. You can't conferral tome magic, but you can ensure it crits.
But there's no way Keen Call is better than Sorcerous Connection for magic.
Swordmaster
I unironically love Glou's Dork Knight
It's funny to watch him soak up 5 attacks, then cleave one-shot with Dark Flame as he slurps the HP back to full
Doom Knight is what people think Berserker is (a soak tank) but it actually *is*
Warriors/Breakers.
Visually I love how the Wyvern Knights look
Yea, the wyverns are cool as hell, reminds me a lot of the ones you fight in Dragon's Crown. Fran and Hilda have been fricking up everything in their path for most of my file, I gave them each their own unit and one generic of the same type and nothing can stop them
Vikings. I made one with a black and green motif to be literally me.
How did you do that? I thought they died easily.
sellsword ladies and the tier 1 cav units, those horses have really nice poses
>Werebear and Gladiator
classes with flaws that, when fixed, are good and useful = top tier design
>Sniper
genuinely surprised me how incredible and versatile they are, coming from FE where they're infamously SHIT; they start off fairly weak but grow into powerhouses with access to built-in true strikes, a row attack, and a phenomenal charge attack, I use them constantly now
>Landsknecht
Berserk* guh
Galerius is the biggest jobber in this game
>Loses to your mom
>Losses to lv 10 Alain and has to to saved by Daddy Baltro
>Despite getting on a horse, loses to Lex and 4 Vanguards
>Canonically never wins a fight.
How come he didn’t possess Alain when he died in the sanctuary
It's stated Alcina wanted the body for reviving Gerard, so he was probably respecting that.
I like Yahna and Alain's rapport mirroring that of Alcina and Gerard's relationship, but it would've been nice to add Alcina to the mix too.
I'm a bit of a sucker for those reincarnation romances.
You should have been able to recruit her and Gailey in the main game
If Ochlys was fully willing to murder Mandrin and pin the blame on a bandit, what do you think the elves would have to say about Alcina and Gailey suddenly switching sides?
What the frick is he even doing while Alain is strolling around Fevrith? After surrounding Cornia is liberated he should be on high alert. By the time Drakenhold is liberated the should be a continent wide call to arms rallying troops to pin down and finish Alain even if it means losing some territory elsewhere.
Fondling his breasts
working on the ritual I guess
he wants Alain's delicious body, it is not like some magical horse will frick him over
Honestly, this question snaps the game in half so just don't ask it.
Watching tv and doing nothing
Doing his best to get on a horse. It takes a lot of effort with a gut like that.
What every great villain should: scheming.
He was having a really bad period cramp, have some sympathy the ten years he’s spent trapped in Ilenia’s body have been difficult for him
No way Ilenia is still fertile and bleeding
Alain's only 17
Considering it was ye olde times she might be in her early 30s
Something something Unicorn Bloodline something something ancient Zenoiran magic keeping Galerius current host body in peak biological shape
>No way Ilenia is still fertile and bleeding
Her body was perfectly preserved the entire time, she doesn't come out 10years older at the end.
She's literally about 25, while Virginia is about 20.
homie there’s no way she’s in her 20s. Just look at the difference between her and Virginia
Most of the difference between her and Virginia is their hairstyle
>Loses to your mom
That was such a fricking twist, I was laughing so hard. The whole time you think you're gearing up to fight possessed Valmore and instead he got fricking dunked on by Ilenia's last stand.
Don't frick with mom.
Elfen fencers.
Cool moves, very flexible.
sellswords
If I ever do a second playthrough, I will dust off Liza's sandy vegana and empower the lives of my desert bros
She's very cute. The funniest thing about her rapport chain is that it all takes place in the same patch of sand in Drakenhold, suggesting that either Liza fell in love in a relatively short period of time, or Alain has been visiting the desert repeatedly to hear her talk about it.
Werewolf's are fun, just watching them gang up on someone only for it to snowball fills me with joy
I thought I was only ever going to use Dinah, but I now end up making a whole team of werefoxes with the wolfpack gauntlets when I get them. Fun watching them go.
>Use a hand mirror on Alain
>Can't customize the horse itself
What would sex with Yahna be like?
Shes so fricking strong and sexy, its really hard to resist marrying her
But then theres Chloe...
Marry Yahna and Chloe will be her lady in waiting. Just wait for when Yahna’s old lady hips are too sore to frick anymore and bring in Chloe
OI, CHOTTO MATTE
It's kinda funny that DD2 threads are already dead but Unicorn Overlord seems to still have one up at all times.
Let's not, I'm still sad.
Unicorn overlord is pure soul. DD2 is meh at best
Dogma 2 or darkest 2?
Dragon’s Dogshit 2
did the anon who said that he will write an elfs on alain femdom rape fanfic deliver ?
>planning to marry Eltolinde
>knew about her choco sister, prepared to resist
>unprepared to resist this half-elf and her fat ass
HELP
She’s a snitch
I will give her the love she deserves. I WILL fix her.
Shut up Josef, she said she was sorry. Maybe, can't remember.
>"That may be, but I'm keeping my eye on you."
>"That goes for ALL you nonhumans."
>"Elves, Bestrals, Angels... I'll not have rapport with any of you!"
>"Remember my prince, the only thing worse than a traitor to his people is a traitor to his race."
Jesus christ Josef
They don't call him Josef "Goebbels" Holyknightman for nothing
Josef arranged things so Alain had access to 4 Cornia noblewomen and the daughter of the pope
And then he goes and picks someone worse than a bestral, a Drakenholdian
Marrying Veggie is the best choice.
Anon... she'll make discrimination illegal if she's queen...
>she'll make discrimination illegal

They eat well in Elheim it seems.
>All elven archers have an ass that big
Even the male ones?
probably.
What were they thinking with this outfit
Sexo
They wanted to appeal to the Soldier (Female) demographic.
now post it with the correct lore accurate model
MAN
Do it anon!
Why is her ass so fat though?
Because a good booty is love, baby.
>Eltolinde
Pure, and makes it clear with her ring ceremony she plans to only love Alain ever.
>Rosalinde
Exactly the same.
>Ridiel
Clearly no respect for herself, or others, working with both sides and selling information... Possibly not pure, and makes no promises what she'll do with the Kingdom after Alain passes
shut up non-half-elf-elf. you don't know what you're talking about.
Josef….
Nah, Alain won't die. He'll have some court sorceress make him young again or some anime bullshit.
Yeah, but:
>Clearly no respect for herself, or others, working with both sides and selling information...
I can fix her
Gameplay wise, who is the best recipient of the ring? I'm thinking the choco elf sister because she can actually use both attacking stats.
Are there any shields that give AP?
Yes. Coliseum has one.
Thanks. I ringed cousinsisterwife so she has no AP gear.
>Josef doesn't trust Ridiel, says he'll keep an eye on her
>They don't have any rapports.
Too bad.
Anon…Josef has zero rapports with non humans. Dude is straight up racist
>Uncle Josef, you have so many cool stories about your adventures
>Did you ever go to Bastorias? Tell us about that!
Uncle Josef doesn't relax around INHUMAN beasts.
Axe units don't have follow ups right? Who's the Hunter's Halberd supposed to be for?
Isn't it a spear?
No. Glaive is the follow up spear.
Ah. In that case, it can still work with the accessories that give pursuit/wide pursuit
Ren has sanguine pursuit
OH right.
Anyone can do pursuits with one of several rings
>True Zenoiran run
>Be in Darkenhold
>Recently unlock promotions, did all the quests before the Colosseum, dipped a few toes into Elfheim and get Ridel early to get an archer without needing to prmote
>I really wish I had Yunifi right now
>See the Bastorias gate ocer there, 10 levels above me
>Try it anyways, frick it
>Enter basotriaa way earlier
>Go over and see the first chapter to get Yunifi and see if it's feasable
>Realize the boss is only a short walk away, Hastened cavs can literally rush to his area, kill the bishops in the tower, and attack the boss
>Make team specifically to cuck the gimmick of the boss
>Get the Bastorias castle super easily
>The enlistment camps are all promoted level 20s, it's literally cheaper to hire new units tham promote the named ones and they're 5~ levels above my units
Breaking the game is so much fun
i love yunifi so much
I wonder if you can do one of those high level cornian liberations really early with a purpose made squad and just soak in exp from rookie egg/royal order/liquid fortune
You have been LIED to!
Illenia, is in fact, a very FLAT woman!
No better than the likes of FRAN, who is the only flattie of HER class type!
What does this say about Cornian royalty?
I'll leave that up to you. But do NOT marry any woman resembling her! That includes a very close cousin of Alain's!
Alright, I will not mary a woman resembling her, I will marry her instead
That's it. I'm marrying Scarlett to finally fix Cornian royals genes.
Maybe Alain should be the queen of Cornia.
Now let's have Virginia dress as Alain
A fricking Twink
Man, a lot of these rapport convos are really heavy and personal. I kinda regret not going out of my way to see them sooner, all this would've really added to the story as it was going on
Rapport conversations organically unlock way too slowly, and far too often they make no sense from a team comp perspective either.
That's what the tavern is for
>do 20 battles or have one lunch together
Yeah, they could have adjusted that a touch
Rapports should have unlocked automatically on the map. So many of them are practically story content like Tatiana’s right after Ghislane’s death
>3rd rapports unlocking in Albion for non-angels
Pain.
Magellans being in late Albion was bizarre
imagine Dinah’s kidnapped friends reaction when they find out she married a human
Something something racism
Something something human men
The canon Queen of Cornia
>Their reaction when after 10+ years of enslavement, rape, and torture to find out the dumb b***h that stupidly sold you off gets to be Queen while you shovel horseshit in some nobleman's stable.
>All while she's wearing a fricking bikini armor
you mean a royal bikini armor loincloth combo
>watch Berergaria's conversations, shes a total distant c**t in the last one
>Makes me curious how her proposal scene is
>Outright shoots you down, forces you to convince her
>Alain literally says I love you, marry me
>she blushes and kisses you at the end
HOLY FRICKING GAP MOE, I MAY HAVE FOUND THE ONE
Oh no. Oh no, not like this anon...
Yeah, it's why Reddit calls the Devs cowards for how the ring thing works with guys. They even advertised you could ring guys.
But as far as I know, every single male ring scene is platonic.
>Literally advertise the game with male/male "wedding" in promotional material
>It's a bait and switch, the protag is purely straight
It's like some reverse ESG thing. Utterly devious.
advertise the game with male/male "wedding" in promotional material
Wait, this happened? and with who??
The promotional screenshots showed Alain and Aramis.
Dont reply the FE fan bait
Reminder that the frilly dress correction is canon
Is she not the only one that flat out leaves you
She leaves her court duties because she has no tact and instead basically stays true to the warrior princess bit
She can't exactly leave you because that would cause a certain magical horse to spawn from the aether
Then what does it say? You can read it and provide proof to us peons,
yes?
Same thing as the English version as far as I'm aware. Alain suggests to her that she reform the tricorns and she goes to see her off when they go do their tricorn bullshit.
What the frick version of UO did you play?
She literally leaves (you)
English: She's a shit Queen and Alain tells her to go reform the Tricorn Mercenaries.
Govil is not an Assassin, wolves are follow up attackers and shred through weakened front lines.
>highly conditional 2ap single target
It's trash. A 2ap single target is already pushing it, but some classes make it work with raw power (ie Bastards Cross and Omega Shatter)
Making it conditional on top of that is bad.
>blind
Who gives a shit, whatever you're hitting is supposed to either explode or will be some guarding class taking 3 damage anyway.
>a goddamn owl
>sidepiece
The frick are you going to do with it, fluff the head?
Fill her bird hole probably
OH
MY GOD
Is it really that crazy?
Yes
I must spread the royal bloodline to all kingdoms
Who would you put in the prime wife spot then?
I can't say or else the unicorn will smite me
Free yourself from horse oppression
Fluff her breasts obviously
Looks like you accidentally put a dog in wife tier
Aside from Virginia, I agree
Someone's cruisin' for a bruisin'
Remove the furries and that's fine.
>Concubine
Didn't read, get smote.
Does Berengia fall off during Bastoria? She used to do a lot more damage.
She's possibly the best tank in the game, she doesn't need to
She has zero cover skills, how can she be the best? She's more like a damage dealer who doesn't need defensive babysitting.
What's the point of a great knight outside of their cav stack teams?
Column stun, column pursuit.
Do they need more than cav stacking? That shit's obscene.
>inherent 2x damage to infantry(read: most enemies)
>self buffing through cavalry call
>column damage+stun
>killstreaking with its other two skills
>all this while sturdy enough to comfortably sit in the front row
While their true power is friendship, great knights are just great in general, no unit is worse for having one.
Pretty much the perfect physical class
>Highest movement, is going to be your main leader 90% of the time
>Solid defenses and a shield, fantastic front row
>2x danage agains most enemies
>1 AP colum attack that stuns
>AP refreshing finisher attack
>Has row-wide buffs that targets not only itself but multiple classes (Dank Knight, Saint Knight, Alain, Joseph)
>Colum pursuit
Even if you just slap them for the sake of movement then you can turn off their cav skills and equip gear that gives them cooler passives like Counter or Banishing Pursuit.
>Werebear damage animation
b***h I know you're not going to drop the fricking hammer, quit wasting my time
Hags…erotic…
I'm in Albion and STILL using the Lightning Shaker spear, haven't even unlocked upgrades yet. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more, but maybe I shouldn't be because the sheer freedom of choice in this game makes it impossible to know every good setup. It's fantastic in a cav stack
>gives row damage to a class which normally has none
>unconditional 100 phys potency alone would be fine for early to mid game, but it also has 100 magical potency and the lance gives a decent chunk of magic attack, which doesn't just add a smidge of damage but rather works to greatly increase efficacy against armors
>this is just the damage however, and it also comes with stun
It's like a self sufficient Conferral setup
I put it on my highest initiative Great Knight and anything he doesn't outright kill gets cav pursuit into oblivion. I have to experiment with Gilbert a bit but I think with sniper order and royal order this can bypass their flying counters.
It's good but really, 3 cavs can just spam wild rush and run almost every single enemy formation down and then clean up with their first skill
>Lightning Shaker spear
Love that weapon, gave it to Dinah and she absolutely ruins enemy teams with the stun it gives off making for easy clean up
I was made fun of once for suggesting Silver Trident is broken when used by Great Knights - the reasoning: GKs are "supposed to be" column attackers, durr.
Ochlys’ ring scene in Japanese is cute as frick. You can hear the playfulness in Alain’s voice when he’s teasing her about her feelings
This smug motherfricker
Of course he’s smug. He has a cute 10/10 aryan angel tsundere wife
Your response?
i miss the pet the chloe campaigns
YOU'RE ONLY 17 YOU SICK FRICK
It’s medieval times it’s ok
>Do I look like a maiden to you?
'ick on ring
Be happy that I gained a bro for life I guess. If I were a girl I would be a lot happier I feel, but that isnt the case so bros it is.
"no homo"
HA, homosexual!
>accepts it anyway
>Thank god she didn't realize I spent over 30 hours not rescuing her but instead powerleveling to the 40s and clearing the final mission early
>Level 2 Scarlett wondering how Chloe can suplex her with one hand now
>He says this while fully decked out in Anemoi armor
Cute totally platonic friends
My wife's bestie and my wife
This guy saved a lot of cute Chloe

CUTE
>Alain actually beats her 1v1 in their ring scene
It's nice having an actual Chad for a protagonist. Nevermind the femdom infestation, the real appeal of big strong women is to defeat them and stuff them into a wedding dress.
Oh yeah the elves are hags too
Longevity is stored in the ears
>Rosalinde telling Lex that even though she's much longer lived than him it's hurtful to be told she reminds him of his grandmother
>Lex misunderstanding her and talking about how Rosalinde reminds her of someone who can create the kind of world that would make his grandmother smile, since she's just the same type as her
>Rosalinde offering a formal apology
Is there a list of rewards you get for deferring each recruitment, either by execution or telling them no?
Recruiting is always the best option with a few exceptions
>jailing Gammel gives good money but you miss Madrin
>executing Madrin gives you 15 divine shards but you miss out on his unique pursuit earring
>telling Monica to frick off gives you 30 divine shards, you don't miss out on anything special
>killing Aramis with Leah lets you recruit him and gives you an extra lapis pendant
Seems like a case by case basis then. Units themselves aren't really important (you can recruit pre optimized mercs) but I see that some accessories come with certain recruits. The pursuit earring in particular is interesting, even though I can't think of a good use for it. Id want to combine it with the shield and sword but the only class to use all of those and come with pursuit is... paladin lol.
pursuit earrings also work on guard hunter and healing hunter skills, I use it on Auch with an upgraded thawing staff and he clears
Oh yeah I forgot, stopping Tatiana's experiments gives you 5 of the best healing items in the game which are unique to this option
>telling Monica to frick off gives you 30 divine shards, you don't miss out on anything special
I'd say Jeremy is worth killing for the gold you get, since you already have two sell swords and can recruit more.
>enables one of the easiest sequence breaks in the game
What is it?
I spared them and didn't notice anything useful other than the pursuit earring
Celestes' squad in her mission can solo the map if you keep gammel and mandrin alive, since the mission is at the entrance of elhiem, you can pick up the three of them as soon as you save scarlett.
That's funny, on TZ they would have died to literally every unit on the map.
What do difficulty levels really change? Is it just bigger numbers or do you have different mechanics or things like that?
Expert you can only use 10 items per battle. TZ you can only use 5 items per battle. Outside of that, I think it's just numbers. The game isn't very difficult no matter what difficulty you play on, so I recommend going as high as possible (Expert on first playthrough). You can downrank the difficulty at any time anyway (as long as you aren't playing on TZ, which you cannot do your first time)
Share teams. I just made a fun one.
Aubin activates his War Horn so my melee attacks cannot be blocked
Raenys goes first gives everyone +30 accuracy and immunity to blind.
Mel does a small poke to set up later or uses a magic attack to delete an armoured
Healer boy overheals the bear so hes >100% HP
Aubin does a row attack to lower defenses
Aubin will activate his Gamblers Coin on the bear+mel for +attack & crit damage
Bear self buffs with Hawk eye to guarentee he lands a hit & crits then deletes a row of enemies
Mel gets her second turn and clears up whatever is left
In this case I am surprised you kept these guys as leftovers.
this pp killing comp I made by pure coincidence brought me from rank 5-1 in offline colosseum
>gammel with sneak attack on highest atk
>triple row blind with raenys and gammel
>evade gloved triple counter yunifi in front
>gryffin (normally celeste) doing gryffin things
>mandrin just kills leftovers with row shot and pursuits
with sneak attack on highest atk
meant sneak atk on highest matk, usually tends to work against caster mooks with quick cast
Why do girls find him cute?
>fantasy twink with mommy issues and an inferiority complex
IRL he'd be annoying as shit, but here he's free real estate
I never used Dark/Doom Knights in my entire playthrough since we only got one and I didn't have room for him in my squad at the time I got him.
Anytime I saw the enemy use them, they seemed decently tanky but they spent all their HP just to do a mediocre attack. So they really feel both incredibly fragile (your swordsman can just bonk them for 1 afterwards and they die) and like one shot wonders. Do you just constantly babysit them after that? Do you have to pair them with a healer?
They seem like total garbage, but I'm willing to be wrong.
when has the enemy ever, ever used their units/squads intelligently?
doom knights get tankier every time they take a hit and they get massive lifedrain. keep them fueled up with PP and they will practically never die. bring someone with parting resurrection just-in-case if you have to
gloucester also works amazingly with berengaria, can almost get an infinite AP/PP chain going if conditions are just right
You know how radiant knights have are pretty good with a 150 single target attack?
Now imagine having a 100 phys 100 magic row attack
Almost their entire kit is a meme but Dark Flame is one of the best skills in the entire game
They're really, really good. Just spam Dark Flame and turn off all the HP stuff
Shit, those thighs will keep themselves warm
>there's a catapult you can sabotage before the Hilda mission in Drakengard
HOLY there's so much stuff I missed on my 1st playthrough
That catapult and the gate in Melisandre’s level are the only things I remember you can sabotage
I felt dumb, I didn't block the gate in the Melisandre mission because I thought I was going to be able to capture it and would actually bar myself from entering that ever again area if i did.
Has anyone seen this effect? It’s stopping from running on the overworld, have no idea how to remove it and can’t find any info on it
Shaman debuffed you moron
Ah, I see, it must be the first time I’ve been seen by one.
How long does it last I literally walked though two whole zones I’d already freed and it didn’t drop off until i went back and fought them.
Isn't that from overworld shamans slowing you down?
>Highborn genes ensure that the royal bloodline won't be tainted
>Isn't a filthy foreigner
>Holy shit, just look how cute she is
>Most fertile womb in all the lands
>Hip ratio of the gods ensures at least 40 effortless births
>Has Yahna's sexo outfit for nighttime operations
>Human
She is literally the perfect queen.
>chibi doesnt have her side head hair fluff
nah, i'm ringing chibi scarlett.
She is a free sidepiece by default if you choose literally anyone else.
The Unicorn? Please what is it gon
Yeah but Chloe stays with Alain no matter what, so you know she'll happily attend to his needs whenever the queen has a headache. Maybe the queen's needs too, if you pick Scarlett or Ridiel.
>Yeah but Chloe stays with Alain no matter what
Chloe, Yahna, the Rose girls and Melisandre
Yunifi or the Unicorn won't mind, right?
>Yeah but Chloe stays with Alain no matter what
Not if you get her rapports with Ridiel.
Post proof
So... we're agreed?
Move elf archer down
Move Primm, Sharon, Chloe, and Nina up
no
no
move miriam and yunifi up 2 spaces.
How's this?
Elf archer still too high
Bro? Alain can only ring one maiden, y'know.
I literally can't beat those Angel Archers. Can't do anything because blindness cucks every setup
Can't even cleanse because a single archer can blind the entire row at once and I've already wasted half my resources just trying to recover
So…put on blindness immunity items…?
Jeez
If only there was something that made you immune to blindness. Too bad there's no gear at all in the game that makes you immune to specific or multiple ailments. All you ever get is berets that raise damage.
think harder, anon
Liberate the southern castle town first (Jerome). There's a side path in it taking you to a secluded spot with a furry forma del gato in it. Next to him is a tower. Check that tower. You'll need some common sense to make the treasure found there work.
Alternatively use a elf archer with Pure Field but that eats your start-of-battle
does anyone ever care about kitra? every time i see her shes always in the bottom rows
I wouldn't wife her, but she's probably down for brojobs
>annoying as frick
>literally everyone in the liberation hates her
>anger issues
>disgusting haircut
>non romantic ending
Literally worst girl
I don't even remember her
Better than generic Nina
Can't compete with the sex monsters in the game of course
Someone bring out the list of grievances.
her enrage lines are cuter than Nina's
>Damn it >:(
What does the fat frick say
he burps
>they'll pay
I like her, but she's not quite one of my favorites. For that matter, she's not quite my favorite angry hammer girl. She's probably my favorite knight of the rose, though, at least.
How many times do you have to post this DihnaChloeYahnagay
You are my homieh
>primm that low
>Fox and Giant
>Big titty elf that high with Hago Sexo
Ah man, this is a coomer list for sure
And I kneel to this king.
All these based Dinah lovers we are legion!
I-I will... it'd be terribly rude not to so...
Wish me luck...

>Scarlett is consistently ranked low by furgays
I am thinking she is based
She’s just so boring. Literally rapport is just her being jealous or insecure. I feel like I learned nothing about Scarlett
Scarlett‘s Rapports don’t get good until Albion. She basically has the same role as Virginia as she is Albion’s waifu.
>Scarlett‘s Rapports
All her rapports are outside of Albion. It's true she becomes relevant again once you get there. That's the thing, you rescue her and she just barely appears until Albion, 30 hours later.
And her rapports are mostly 'I suck at cooking' or 'I don't want to get cucked'
>At the end she still sucks at cooking
>And she's been cucked
KINO
Cursed image.
Do not open.
>Alain gets possessed
>Galerius can command the ring
Wow thanks unicorn…
>Thus, Eltolinde joined Alain in Gran Corrine as his newly-crowned queen - and Cornia and Elheim quickly grew as united as the pair themselves. At peace with their differing lifespans, the two lived out their days in true tranquility.
The best ending, btw.
fake and gay unicron-sama gives alain the strength to live out an elf lifespan
Imagine Eltolinde taking care of old man Alain
Eltolinde's sex drive shaved off at least 10 years out of Alain's life expectancy
>Berengaria has the best ring scene in the entire game
>But is the only one who has a negative ending
It's so weird
I think Raenrys has the worst ending overall though, what the frick was that?
He was right
And they killed him for it
Would you eat her cooking?
She’s my wife so of course
i'd rather kneel to galerius than eat her cooking
Alain that’s mean….
Only if I could wash the slop down with breast milk
"lol bad at cooking" is the worst anime girl cliche
>worst girl has worse trope
Well yeah
I find it rather endearing.
I usually agree but the rapport was pretty funny thanks to the presentation
That's not tsun or yandere
Would Josef approve of angel wives?
yes
No
I got these gloves that have Binding Guard, the only real purpose I see for them is for my Thief on his Row Attack, and then stack a bunch of melee in like Berengaria that benefit from afflicted targets that cant block?
I used that combo and it was pretty good
Just get someone who can stun the backrow and the entire enemy squad is disabled
Rogue has Sneak Attack later on which allows him to inflict Guard Seal at the start of fight - just so he can use Active/Passive Steal on the target.
I never found „great” way to use them. I mostly did use them on Alain, Melissandre and Aubin with extra Initiative.
Okay so: Alain/Virginia/Ilenia.
