Enemy unit: >bronze axe >unpromoted >no equipment in their slots >5 levels lower than the player's cleric sitting in their C team >no tactics, not even target lowest hp unit
Modders...please...
Ok I'm not the only one. I'm not sure what they were thinking giving cavs good movement, effectiveness against foot units (most of the game) and a stackable buff if you have more horses...
You can save her before all of the totally-not-NTR scenes play and you actually get a comment for doing so. If you care about Scarlett and her virginity stop goofing off and go save her.
whats the limit to how i can goof off before i have to go get her? im still on the "see Marian" step (literally start of the game where I fricked off because it felt like an open world and i just had to explore)

No, you can still fix the bridge. Costs 30 Corsite stone which is easy with mining anyway.
It's actually initiating the lvl40 quest that pops up right after you fix it that ends up being the deadline.

yeah i saw a broken bridge, but i didnt have the hammer guy yet so i let it be
so i guess just dont fix it huh? got it ty anons
thats not quite right, fixing the bridge just gives you the final boss quest, you can just ignore that and explore the area. beating the final boss without rescuing scarlett will prompt that what if scenario, there's no timer.

Yeah, just do this.
Save your Corsite stones for reconstructing towns. Your stationed guards are bound to give you a stockpile later on anyway.

>beating the final boss without rescuing scarlett will prompt that what if scenario, there's no timer.
Huh, I just saw the scene with no context and thought she was going to be an unit in the final battle. It happens after? Do you even get to fight her?
I gave up and downloaded the EN rom.
The only thing I need to read are skill and item descriptions, everything else that matters is voiced so I don't have to read a troonylator's fanfic.
Skills have their own animations, female sellsword's promote class has an ability that has them throw the shield out, lunge forward, slash twice, and catch the shield on the other side
They're not making any nice animation with that shitty tweening technique anyway. Its one of the saddest methods I've seen that makes everything look like paper dolls
Thieves have to be my least favorite unit design, they're incredibly overpowered/annoying early when everyone is on 1 AP and you have limited options for True Strike or accuracy boosts, then they fall off really hard later and even their steal PP gimmick can't really justify a slot most of the time.
bros, i didn't know thieves were this good, i fricked up, i sent Gammel to prison hours ago, will i ever get to recruit him later on? or am i bricked?...
hm >Alain
very good after promotion, spinning edge is ridiculous >Scarlett
kinda meh, I still think people underrate her when they say she's worse than regular clerics but definitely not amazing >Virginia
can in my opinion be quite good, pretty versatile frontliner that fares well against both armored and flying units >Berengaria
insanely good, especially in ailment teams >Rosalinde
extremely good imo, her round start row stun can trivialize multiple bosses, good AoE options, better PP heal than clerics/bishops, only thing that sucks is that her single target attacks are grounded melee so her 1 AP attacks have worse accuracy against fliers than other mages >Eltolinde
similar to Rosalinde obviously, but I'd say a bit worse since her defensive abilities are kind of overkill and unnecessary, still great >Yunifi
not amazing, but I haven't played around too much with her, she can hit a lot of freezes once she has her freeze follow up, but that's quite late >Morard
didn't use him, no idea >Nigel
seems very strong, but has basically no availability/relevance to really put it to the test
I found Scarlett's niche to be being able to equip frostbrand tome (and its burn and stun equivalents) while being able to heal. The tomes have a lot of strong synergies like buffing the unique elves' elemental roar with it to inflict freeze on the entire enemy unit alongside huge damage.
Morard is functionally just a gladiator side grade. he's the least unique of the uniques

in practice that just means she has disposable PP

The thing is that clerics and wereowls can't equip the tome at all and witches who can use it can't heal instead. Scarlett can do both, and that's neat.
I agree with most of this
Berengaria + Shamans is really moronic OP

Shaman + a lot of things is moronicly OP
The simple fact that quick curse exists combined with the strength of the debuffs they inflict makes Shamans a practical cornerstone of most party comps
Since Atlus was the publisher, what are the chances that we're going to get FE collab DLC?
Absolutely none, After all the shit that came with Tokyo Mirage Sessions and it's port, including straight up false advertising with Lyn and Demi Fiend in the reveal trailer only to not even be in the final game really pissed people off. That and Atlus can't make Vanillaware do anything they don't want to and I doubt they'd want the head ache that would come from using another companies characters. If they do a crossover DLC it'll be with characters from their own games or Atlus.

>That and Atlus can't make Vanillaware do anything they don't want to
I honestly have to wonder why Vanillaware is allowed to do pretty much what they want. It's like Atlus cannot even force them to do PC ports, but I guess Atlus/Sega value Vanillaware's anatomy and the fact that their games likely do very well for whatever budget they have for them.

>anatomy
Also it's likely some clause from their acquisition giving them freedom. So it lasts until the contract is renegotiated.
Wouldn't be surprised if SEGA just sees Vanillaware as a brand worth keeping around for the prestige it enjoys among hardcore gamers regardless of its sales numbers, especially now that Atlus is making bank with Persona and even fricking SMT is pulling numbers.

I think SEGA wants to grab any dollar they can get. These guys turn over any amount of a profit? Frick it, keep them. We need them.

I think it's probably a huge budget=profit ratio too. Vanillaware's games are fantastic, but I don't think they have a huge budget which means the turn-over per game is huge. This is also probably why Atlus/Sega are happy to just let them cook instead of just pushing games out the door.

Vanillawares games are actually pretty pricy to make. Now it's not like their games cost fifty million to make or anything, it's just that they have incredibly long dev cycles. Like Unicorn Overlord took over ten years to make. It's not like it was the main game they were working that whole time or even in active development that whole time but it's still a long time to go from concept to final product for a game company. And then for these long dev cycles you've got to account for all the employees they have to pay, the designers, programmers and most of all the artists that DRAW EVERYTHING BY HAND. Needless to say that ain't cheap. And Vanillaware has always had money issues and have nearly closed down after every game they've made ever. Supposedly George K. and some other guy had to put up a lot of their money just to keep the lights on for the last phase of UO's development.
Am I supposed to frick around with 'condition' tabs next to the skills for optimal gameplay?
I dont even know what to set for each skills and seems too complicated for me.
Top priority for aoe attacks, full column for piercing, 2+ in a row for row hitting attacks. If a skill has special conditions like get +1 ap when defeating enemy make them target lowest % HP enemy to ensure it procs
Anyone got some good comps/units for swordfighter? I want to use Melisandre, but I'm struggling to understand what the class is even good for besides truestrike.
Comparatively something like Sellsword seems to have a more well defined and effective niche.
You know dodge tanks? The bane of every fight? Melisandra laughs and just ignores evade and dodge with high accuracy high damage strikes to unarmored foes. When she promotes, she gets Meteor strike which is a 20 hit combo bound to hit anything no matter how high it's evasion is through sheer volume of hits
Thieves and other swordfighters are a pretty good use case, but cavs with the truestrike lance just do the job with less faffing about thanks to the 2x bonus at least that's how i feel.
Flying dodgetanks on the other hand always seem to murk my swordies because they dont proc parry, and if youre sticking them on the backline, then why not just use archers at that point.
I put Melisandra in the back of my Alain unit, I didn't rely on her dodge tanking, I relied on her being my answer to dodge tanks. If there weren't any, that's what Alain and Virginia were for, if there were armored enemies, that's what Rosalinde was for, besides healing
Did the mission where you get the thunderthighs landsknecht girl and Josef asked me if we want to save Scarlett. Wanted to do some other stuff, but now I can't find where I should start that mission. Or is it still that far away event in the map?
Eltolinde has to stay and manage elf land affairs, Melisandra is already a lady of Alain's court and proposes to him on the regular in every ending where she's not already married to him
Then to get stuff like Norbelle and other bad consequences for not finishing the countries you have to just suck it and go underleveled to the lvl40 mission?
Still early in the game, how does setting two conditions work? Will the skill only activate if both conditions are met or is it an either/or situation? I assume it's the later but better safe than sorry.
>Will the skill only activate if both conditions are met
yes. you will need to add the skill twice with different conditions if you want an OR situation.
Whichever condition is easier to activate.
Remember to not have a single targer<%hp tactic for skills because the characters won't do anything at all until the enemy hp threshold reaches that low. My Magellan did absolutely nothing AP-related but PP follow-up counters in an overworld fight.
>Remember to not have a single targer<%hp tactic for skills
But prioritize is fine, right? At least I assumes the difference is that they'll attack whatever if the prioritized enemy doesn't exist.
hm that'd imply that all the 30/35 promotion cost classes are equal in the eyes of the devs and that Viking is also in the shitter 25 tier
I'd say all the 35 fliers/cavs each have their uses and better movement type to justify it, but are the 30 cost classes really all better than Viking? Especially archers and armor knights seem very situational to me
Is there anything good I can buy early on to make the game a bit less annoying? I'm on expert and while it's not really hard the way reinforcements work and how some maps really force you into fricking around with unit formations and valor skills is getting old.
Uniques only yeah, but I figured knights kind of just beat everything already. I REALLY need a flier of some kind though. Just curious of any of this shit in shops is any good or if it's all useless later.
Ochlys should be your first one.
Then it's a few more story quests before Fran joins.
I can see why some uniques have dupe classes. Kitra and Mordon are warriors, but you can kill Mordon while Kitra joins without your consent so that you'd have at least one warrior to fix the bridge.
Dancer bracelets are good for a long time and are pretty cheap, lets units with bad passives actually contribute. The Truestrike Pike is good for a long time and is cheap. The Lapis Talisman is good for the entire game. The Sanguine Sword is expensive, but actually allows Lex to reasonably tank in the early game and is a decent sword in general.
>The Lapis Talisman is good for the entire game.
I bought this, just seemed like a no brainer. Sanguine Sword was on my list, I actually bought the Rune Sword or something because of Fire Emblem brain but it's been disappointing.

I don't have Ochlys yet sadly I think I'm like a couple divine shards short, I'll hopefully get her next. I got a flier for one mission (the one with the second cav) and it was so relieving to have one lol.
Rune Sword gets better once you have Radiant Knights. They are a sword class with higher Mag Attack than Phys Attack, and are cavalry. Before you get them, yeah, it is pretty bad.

I gave Josef a runic sword and gave his templar sword to Alain in the very beginning in the game and I have zero regrets
3 months ago

That is definitely the best use for the Runesword early, but I would not go out of my way to buy one for him though. Even with a recruit's sword, Josef just destroys everything early game.
You give the Runesword to Radiant Knights. If you play FE you know the drill. It's a Physical class but has high magic so they wreck using the Runesword and kinda suck without it
Yes. Tweening sprites is a perfectly fine form of animation especially when it's done by experts of their craft like Vanillaware.
Since the art for characters is already so high the tweening works well. It's not always a master piece, but tweening allows for many nice simple looping animations to be used to give life to scenes.
A little swaying from side to side as the characters stand in place, the slight movements of characters weapons as they move them. Hell, even the loops of breathing animations helps give so much more life to these types of games. Think about it, have you ever seen a Fire Emblem characters chest expand to breath? Have you ever seen a characters weapon behave like it has any weight at all? No, most fire emblem characters will stand in place motionless until the scene calls for them to do something, I don't even think they have blinking animations on their models. They'll just stand in a cutscene, unblinking if they're in the background.
Lapis/Carnelian Talismans are safe buys. (Carnelian is better) Angel Plume is good once you unlock it. Heavenswyvern Reins are really good too. Buying a piece of Templar equipment is not ideal, but can shore up the early game and 4 Divine Shards is not really that expensive, just don't go overboard.

I'm a little frustrated by a dumb meta thing but because I started with the demo, left it after that, and then picked it back up from my save, I feel like I have maybe half the knowledge the tutorial sets you up with still in memory so I'm not following battles perfectly like I was right after it was explained. I'm sure I'll get it back eventually, but I feel like I'm only "getting" what's happening as it happens like 80% of the time.
Not really have any issues, but hopefully wanna sort this so I can really enjoy the unit building. Maybe a reread of the tips is in order.
I want to remove Yahna from my main team, but her teleport is too useful when literally all of my other teams are led by cavalry or thieves who are leaving me in the dust.
There's Symphony of War which is even more of a mix between Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle than this game, the turns actually play out like FE and on a grid map, but the squad based battles are similar to this game and Ogre Battle
Portrait art is shit, but sprites are pretty nice, story is awful, but it's fun enough for the low price
>set archers to "Prioritize Flying" and "Lowest HP" >now they attacked the low HP fighter in the back row instead of the flying fricking wyvern in the front
they don't make srpgs and they were afraid to make the game too hard
+ they obviously underestimated how OP you get by just clearing every Liberation fight you run into, they're basically grinding maps like FE8
Hopefully modders can fix it >Increase the renown tier requirements >Increase divine shard item costs >Increase enemy stats or buff their equipment loadouts
She's so fluffy and cute imagine snuggling with her in a tent out in the tundra and being overwhelmed by her feathery, fluffy goodness you'd never be cold.
>thought doom knights were too gimmicky to work >turns out you just need a Toughness belt or two for literally immortal frontliners that can shit out damage
Two DK frontliners, a bishop with those shitty Grave Impertus boots and a resurrection staff is one of the funnest comps I got to work.
>there is a bunny shop keeper in furry land >this means there is an entire race of bunnies in uo
Bros... We could have had a literal bunny girl thief as a party member. Instead we got a generic fox girl furry flop and owl hag that isn't even a bird.
I swear there was some item that gave you thieves evade skill but I cant for the life of me find it in any shops, would really like it for my elven fencer
>it's implied that Virginia would've been wed to Alain if Zenoira shit never happened so
R-really?! That's hot, mommy's approval to wed a younger version of herself
The others are trolling. You can literally mine for them as they are random rare mine spawns.
Mining attempts are always postive as you can sell the ores. The only thing you'll lose is your time.
I actually like her more that she's small. Girls should never be taller than guys as we need to crane our necks forward into their soft and inviting bosoms.
https://arch.b4k.co/v/search/subject/unicorn/type/op/page/1/
Yeah you can tell it's the same person just from the filenames alone, guarantee you he never even played the game
That would ruin their dynamic
The point is that he went from needing to be cared for by her as a child to being able to protect her as a man and their final rapport convo even brings it up
The best kind of warm. It could be the most biting cold winter, and your nuts would still hang a couple inches off your body if you were bedding Dinah or Ramona
It's very likely, like others have said, that at some point that Virginia was likely Alain's cousin, and that could partially relate to why she marries Gilbert in her unpaired ending, but at some point the writers went frick that and made her Alain's cousin instead because first cousin marriage is legal in Japan.
Frick up. I meant she was Alain's sister at some point. The game went through so many drafts we don't know who was around from draft 1 to the final draft.
Does any of you lads have a quick reference for class pairings
I've been bumrushing before and now my head is spinning from trying to optimize my units
Firstly, look at where her talons and legs meet, those are clothing wrinkles and folds. They're even more clear on her overworld sprite.
Secondly, just look at the generic owls. Their feather color doesn't match the pants.
I like her personality and some things about her design but the promo outfit sucks. We should've gotten an exposed muscular thigh class and another for the Landsknecht look. Combining them doesn't really work. The ugly shield doesn't help either.
Is it normal just using optimize button and don't give a frick to gambits? Gambits here are too unintuitive and i can't understand them, unfortunately. Like, what if i choose skill, but don't choose condition, do char use this skill or no? Also, what if my char have, let's say 2 AP points, but i choose only 1 skill in gambits, does my char use this skill 2 two time, or only 1?
did you get to the tutorial Josef gives you before the rescue Scarlett mission? I don't think I can explain it faster/better in a text post than the game does
i think you're severely misunderstanding the battle system
it's turned-based and you only use 1 active skill (red skills) every turn. the tactics table is simply a priority system that tells the game which active skill to use every turn. if you never set any conditions, the game will simply pick the first active skill every time since that's the top priority. but for example, if i set the archer's dual shot to '2 or more enemies' and then single shot under it, the game will prioritize dual shot first, unless there is only 1 enemy left, then it will skip dual shot and use single shot instead
passive skills (blue skills) all activate when something happens, like when the enemy attacks. they will always be used in such cases unless you specify otherwise. or if you don't like the skill and don't want to use it, just take it off the tactics table. for example, i don't like wasting pp on knight's guaranteed guard skill and would rather just gamble on their natural guard %, so i took it off
If you save Scarlett, can you still do exploring and shit in the "starting area" or are you forced to go somewhere else? I want to save her as fast as possible but I dont want to miss out on treasures and units.
>tfw "Stand TRUE!"
I freakin love my step-dad like you wouldn't believe. Him being level 20 is perfect for babysitting home base or raising early game shitter units
>tfw "Stand TRUE!"
I freakin love my step-dad like you wouldn't believe. Him being level 20 is perfect for babysitting home base or raising early game shitter units
Josef is really cool, sadly Sainted Knights just do what he does much better at higher levels
It's a toss-up between Colm and Bryce. Colm looks more like an NPC than most actual town NPCs in this game. It's very strange that he's even playable. I'm kinda curious what his rapports are even about. Surely it can't just be about Melisandre and her house. It's already hard to find a great use for Lex, so another unique fighter doesn't really excite me either.
In Bryce's case, it's mostly for gameplay reasons. A Legionnaire that joins that late simply has very little reason to be included in anything, especially not in Bastorias where Werefoxes just frick them up. I'm ambivalent about him as a character. His recruit scene was neat and makes that one review saying that Alain is a bad person even funnier in retrospect.
So Mandrin might be the most cucked character in the game (well aside from Clive if you ring Monica)
He shows up in the Celeste + Gammel quest if you spared him but has barely any dialogue
If you let Gammel free, but execute him, there's no dialogue mentioning him, Gammel still joins
Celeste's squad is even a bit more useful in the map than if you had spared both because she actually gets 2 generics + Gammel for a full 4 man squad not just her, Gammel and Mandrin
>game teases you with an angel very early on >beat the quest >"actually i'm gonna run a shop, but have my healer friend :)"
Shame, I liked Ochlys pretty much immediately. I'm a sucker for holy women with a temper.
they give too little options actually. the single biggest problem with the tactics system is that it doesn't have a 'if class' condition. there's a billion fricking infantry classes, 'if infantry' is a nearly worthless condition
What am I supposed to do if I go into Unicorn Overlord before saving Scarlett? How do I overcome the level gap?
Is using Summon Warriors as a crutch to weaken units and then risk the final blow the only way?
>romance story
a game with visual novel elements and romance, is a story with romance. therefore, i am doing nothing wrong. seethe and feethe, gaymaster supreme
I'm pretty sure that was just people shitposting for the most part. It was pretty obvious what the ring was going to mean the minute that they introduced that system.
I thought it would be a "you can marry anyone but these 5 getting pushed hard are the ones with more overt and focused romantic writing in their events" situation.
I think SEGA wants to grab any dollar they can get. These guys turn over any amount of a profit? Frick it, keep them. We need them.
Could also be the case. Which is a far better stance than "they're not selling 3 million in one week? Axe them" approach many other publishers are taking.
How overleveled were you guys when you went to Drakenhold? I had like level 15-16 characters at the very first battle there. Clearing all I could in Cornia first might have been overkill for this.
She is just really useful in general, her passive with blue spectacles to ensure you rarely miss adds up to a LOT of damage over the course of a fight.
I think Aubin's better than people gave him credit for initially. Housecarls have just enough initiative that they tend to outspeed most physical attackers and that makes them good setup fodder for Gryphon/Cavalry sweeps.
It's a crime this game focuses so much on mind control but doesn't do Scarlett being turned evil as part of the main story instead of the vessel thing in an annoying alternate endgame.
Not having evil mom for a last second twist that ultimately changes nothing about the endgame itself is also a huge wasted opportunity. Galerius' vessel being the general he was supposed to be would work just as well, just give the guy some backstory to make the twist a twist.
As it is it feels like they went with mind control just because they couldn't be assed to think of another way to have defeated units join your side and not to actually use it against Alain in any way.
Don't forget to periodically check your gays equipment. I know I did and I had units running around the fricking scarlett rescue mission with bronze shit.
Don't be afraid to use Josef. You still get plenty of XP, particularly once he's in a three man squad.
Get Alain to level 5 ASAP. Luminous Cover dramatically increases the survivability of whoever you place in front and makes Alain a self-sustaining back line tank.
Making cav units the party leaders is probably the best plan early. Cav units are fast as hell.
Lex is useless. He requires the Sanguine Blade to be functional, and he's still kind of shit.
Once you can afford it, Alain with the Magick Blade will oneshot basically everything forever. Alain, Yahna, Sharon (with Active Heal) will just never fricking die.
I have NO idea what I am doing. Playing on tactical and my teams have no reasoning or strategy behind them. I am just putting units together based on nothing in particular.
Waiting for the game to punish me for this.
What are some actual good units to make? I just got into Drakenhold.
>I have NO idea what I am doing. Playing on tactical and my teams have no reasoning or strategy behind them. I am just putting units together based on nothing in particular. >Waiting for the game to punish me for this.
It won't. Casuals on reddit are praising normal for the difficulty lol
hard to say without knowing what you're struggling with
just send a flier or two to the top left to get the ruins there first and the rest to the right, then keep going right
if you're struggling against the boss use gryphons, Travis as a frontline that steals the bosses PP so he doesn't buff himself too often
are there some tactics logic that will frick me over?
for archers for example
if I set their truesight to activate only if a thief or a flyer is on field
is it if: thief and if: flyer
or should it be two separate ones
if: thief
if: flyer
similarly if i set like single shot to ONLY kill thieves or flyers
if i dont have another attack set, they will literally never attack in any other scenario correct?
>Sharon doing quick heals on Lex when >50%HP AND Sorcerer's Familiar buffs on Yahna attacks thanks to extra Lapis PP
I know you guys are already mid game and all but this unit clicking for me is some GOOD shit.
Playing on expert and in Drakenhold now. Only tactics I've had to chance are some absolutely moronic ones that were default set for healing. It was so funny to watch unit that can also attack waste her turn on healing frontline that has lost 1hp.
Until I get to 5 units in a squad is there any actual benefit to having more than a single tank in the front row as the only front row unit? Damage dealing capabilities seem completely unaffected by row.
Unique characters start with set growths. Yhese can be changed with an idealists mirror but it's not really worth doing so unless you're minmaxing or you just want to change how a character looks. Caps will always be hit because they are by class at max level.
no, you're intended to go to drakenhold first progression wise
You can do the first quest to cross into Elfheim to pick up Rosalinde, but the first quest will probably rape you unless you cleared all of Cornia
Brosss why my foraging sites are not refreshing?
Because you auto collect them with the stationed guards.
Next time you finish a mission look at the right side of your screen
Oh damn I did not know that
How are the sales? Will vanilaware devs make enough to eat 3 meals a day?
Stop looking at your cousin.
She looks like your mom.
What would your subjects think?
Marry your childhood friend instead.
Technically, Virginia is a childhood friend.
I think I will, although I should clear Bastorias and then Bastion to check out all my options, though Hilda comes close, if I could marry Hilda and get Primm too I would do it
Albion has a yandere
Player unit:
>has +1 ap and +1 pp from equipped amulets even before they themselves are promoted
>has a weapon capable of stunning an entire row of units
>has a weapon that gives 25 atk and +5 stats
>optimized tactics ensuring the most out of every bit of ap and pp they have
>is 5 levels ahead of the enemy on their least used squad because of liberation missions unintentionally being a better grind than the trials
>has an entire squad of promoted units against unpromoted units which destroys the rock paper scissors systems of the game
Enemy unit:
>bronze axe
>unpromoted
>no equipment in their slots
>5 levels lower than the player's cleric sitting in their C team
>no tactics, not even target lowest hp unit
Modders...please...
I haven't paid attention to their setup. No wonder why I stomped them in every single combat.
What difficulty are you playing on?
I am on expert and the AI armies have been keeping up with the average level, but my cav squad is farming levels.
Expert
Ok I'm not the only one. I'm not sure what they were thinking giving cavs good movement, effectiveness against foot units (most of the game) and a stackable buff if you have more horses...
They are vulnerable to flying things but with good support they can run down anything in one go but bosses
For me, it's a generic town girl

That's her little sister
my village waifu and my daughterfu
You all really married the public toilet?
You can save her before all of the totally-not-NTR scenes play and you actually get a comment for doing so. If you care about Scarlett and her virginity stop goofing off and go save her.

Josef with two good units behind him can already handle that mission.

No, you can still fix the bridge. Costs 30 Corsite stone which is easy with mining anyway.
It's actually initiating the lvl40 quest that pops up right after you fix it that ends up being the deadline.
yeah i saw a broken bridge, but i didnt have the hammer guy yet so i let it be

thats not quite right, fixing the bridge just gives you the final boss quest, you can just ignore that and explore the area. beating the final boss without rescuing scarlett will prompt that what if scenario, there's no timer.
>you can just ignore that and explore the area
Yeah, just do this.
Save your Corsite stones for reconstructing towns. Your stationed guards are bound to give you a stockpile later on anyway.
>beating the final boss without rescuing scarlett will prompt that what if scenario, there's no timer.
Huh, I just saw the scene with no context and thought she was going to be an unit in the final battle. It happens after? Do you even get to fight her?
If you kill the rapist you can restore her virginity, and I say this without a hint of irony
post your wife
Leif deserves better
>Clive lives rent free in her head, 24/7
I want her to cbt Clive
Why would you NTR your bro who has been with you the whole game?
No, Get pendants and weapons if they are a significiant upgrade, you will be swimming in cash later
How do you change the MC's hair?
Handmirror item.
Who lets a e-girl run a store? What is she even selling? Her virginity?
no, your
Her parents died in the war and she inherited the family business.
>What is she even selling? Her virginity?
That's not a very sustainable business model, unless you had memory manipulation and heal spells.
>That's not a very sustainable business model
My sides
Does shop refresh?
When traversing on the over world, can you change to griffon or a knight?
Or are we stuck with Alain?
You're Alain throughout the game. Once you're promoted, you can ride on a horse to go even faster.
>still no jp rom
I am this close to buy a physical version for ps5
I gave up and downloaded the EN rom.
The only thing I need to read are skill and item descriptions, everything else that matters is voiced so I don't have to read a troonylator's fanfic.
I might be moronic but I can't get over how kino the menus are. There's so much color and movement in the goddamned menus.
>no wacky animations
>everyone just attacks normally
Kinda soulless tbqh
Skills have their own animations, female sellsword's promote class has an ability that has them throw the shield out, lunge forward, slash twice, and catch the shield on the other side
good, shit like that ruins my immersion
Gayest post ever made
I like arbalest and it quick reload after shooting.
They're not making any nice animation with that shitty tweening technique anyway. Its one of the saddest methods I've seen that makes everything look like paper dolls
>he says this when Alain learns to spin2win on his god damn horse
Thieves have to be my least favorite unit design, they're incredibly overpowered/annoying early when everyone is on 1 AP and you have limited options for True Strike or accuracy boosts, then they fall off really hard later and even their steal PP gimmick can't really justify a slot most of the time.
bros, i didn't know thieves were this good, i fricked up, i sent Gammel to prison hours ago, will i ever get to recruit him later on? or am i bricked?...
Just hire one
does Gammel not have any unique abilities or stats?
Very few units in the game have unique class/properties, and they are not even usually good.
hm
>Alain
very good after promotion, spinning edge is ridiculous
>Scarlett
kinda meh, I still think people underrate her when they say she's worse than regular clerics but definitely not amazing
>Virginia
can in my opinion be quite good, pretty versatile frontliner that fares well against both armored and flying units
>Berengaria
insanely good, especially in ailment teams
>Rosalinde
extremely good imo, her round start row stun can trivialize multiple bosses, good AoE options, better PP heal than clerics/bishops, only thing that sucks is that her single target attacks are grounded melee so her 1 AP attacks have worse accuracy against fliers than other mages
>Eltolinde
similar to Rosalinde obviously, but I'd say a bit worse since her defensive abilities are kind of overkill and unnecessary, still great
>Yunifi
not amazing, but I haven't played around too much with her, she can hit a lot of freezes once she has her freeze follow up, but that's quite late
>Morard
didn't use him, no idea
>Nigel
seems very strong, but has basically no availability/relevance to really put it to the test
I found Scarlett's niche to be being able to equip frostbrand tome (and its burn and stun equivalents) while being able to heal. The tomes have a lot of strong synergies like buffing the unique elves' elemental roar with it to inflict freeze on the entire enemy unit alongside huge damage.
Morard is functionally just a gladiator side grade. he's the least unique of the uniques
in practice that just means she has disposable PP
> in practice that just means she has disposable PP
The thing is that clerics and wereowls can't equip the tome at all and witches who can use it can't heal instead. Scarlett can do both, and that's neat.
I agree with most of this
Berengaria + Shamans is really moronic OP
Shaman + a lot of things is moronicly OP
The simple fact that quick curse exists combined with the strength of the debuffs they inflict makes Shamans a practical cornerstone of most party comps
Generics are just as strong as uniques, with the exception of uniques with special classes like Alain with Lord.
You would have gotten him much later on, he can redeem himself he was doing it for his sister
he looked creppy and bad, bad guys deserve to be punished... so, that's what i tried to do...
same
game punished me for enacting justice. There is no god in this world.
Fire Emblem conditioned us to believe that "creepy bad guy sprite = evil"...besides Gonzales
Can I spare Giethe? Dude is a gigachad for putting virginia in her place like no one else
I wanna FRICK travis' sister.
I'm thinking of writing an independent novel that's basically this but every single unit is a hot chick that the protagonist bangs.
Would Ganker buy it?
It's just your standard WN/LN.
Nyo
Make a map coloring game instead but keep the combat without the stages.
Am I supposed to frick around with 'condition' tabs next to the skills for optimal gameplay?
I dont even know what to set for each skills and seems too complicated for me.
Yes.
Team comp is half the fun and Is not nearly as complicated as you think it is
t. bonafide moron
MOUNTAIN MAMA
Top priority for aoe attacks, full column for piercing, 2+ in a row for row hitting attacks. If a skill has special conditions like get +1 ap when defeating enemy make them target lowest % HP enemy to ensure it procs
NTA but that's really helpful advice. Thanks. Shows how much of an actual brainless moron I am when simple shit like that didn't occur to me.
Are swordfighters accurate enough to fight flyers? Because I think I can make a team countering high evasion characters.
Did the mission where you get the thunderthighs landsknecht girl and Josef asked me if we want to save Scarlett. Wanted to do some other stuff, but now I can't find where I should start that mission. Or is it still that far away event in the map?
Open quest log, select it, marker pops up. Map in general shows almost everything
Yeah, it's the same marker that has been there since she was abducted. It's still far to the east of the map.
I mean, I can beeline there.
I'm getting absolutely filtered by Melisandre recruitment. How am I supposed to be dealing with swordfighters?
Anyone know where the first two are?
In the two areas you haven't been to yet, there's one quest like that in every region
Haven't found the drakenholm journal yet
>even scarlett is more of a tomboy than the warrior princess
I just don’t know what people see in her.
I'm on my 6th hour of gameplay and just realized that Josef has the one Heal valor skill I've been needing.
Okay, commission the Alain Virginia Melisandre threesome
https://strawpoll.com/BJnX8wGkKnv
There's already an anon who submitted some commission requests for Virginia
they have true strike attacks without PP so yes
Rosalinde, her female retainer, and Melisandra is the canon harem ending. Double dark elf and Melisandra makes an oreo
Rosalinde would bring in Eltolinde before she lets Melisandre have her way
Eltolinde has to stay and manage elf land affairs, Melisandra is already a lady of Alain's court and proposes to him on the regular in every ending where she's not already married to him
bros...
Based Lex and Scarlett saving Chloe from being the commoner meat toilet of Cornia
now tell me how it is in nip
wtf chloe would have gotten alain to marry her at that instant.
Damn scarlett and her tricks!
how do I get gladiators to hit rows? tactics seems to do nothing
Their one attack for most of the game automatically hits rows and they can't decide which one to target because its melee, not sure what you want
wait so only range attacks can pick which row to hit?
Yes if there's even 1 unit in the front then melee attacks can't hit the back row. If an attack says it's ranged then it can hit the back row
Target row with most enemies
Tactics does pretty much everything if you actually read them bud
Where the frick is Bastorias' faded journal?
Is there NG+? If so, what is carried?
nope
Then to get stuff like Norbelle and other bad consequences for not finishing the countries you have to just suck it and go underleveled to the lvl40 mission?
>tfw you are best girl
I typically like the obviously canon main girl, and I want to like Scarlett, but she has literally no personality.
More like she's just very bland. Leah is the one with no personality.
She has drills and fat breasts.
That's enough to win my heart.
Works, but better to have the same skill on an additional slot with no conditions if it doesn't proc on a practice match.
fightitout
Please tell me Lex gets more useful later holy shit he sucks so bad as a unit early
>Please tell me Lex gets more useful later
Hahahahaha.
I have some bad news
they are the cheapest class to hire and promote for a reason
hm that'd imply that all the 30/35 promotion cost classes are equal in the eyes of the devs and that Viking is also in the shitter 25 tier
I'd say all the 35 fliers/cavs each have their uses and better movement type to justify it, but are the 30 cost classes really all better than Viking? Especially archers and armor knights seem very situational to me
He can keep gryphon girls safe a bit.
>That one battle with 2 Gladiators in the front and 2 Shamans in the back.
This my punishment for not fielding archer volleys.
Give him the shield that boots his stats when he gets hit and the blood sword.
Is there anything good I can buy early on to make the game a bit less annoying? I'm on expert and while it's not really hard the way reinforcements work and how some maps really force you into fricking around with unit formations and valor skills is getting old.
Are you running only uniques? If not, Knights just steamroll everything and Soldiers are really good early game for sustainability.
Wow so it's impossible to get the NTR ending if you kill Mordon
what>?
You need to fix the bridge to skip saving Scarlett. Kitra only joins after saving Scarlett so only Mordon can fix the bridge
I got a flier for one mission (the one with the second cav) and it was so relieving to have one lol.
>flier for one mission
That's Fran. She's controllable in the rescue Scarlett map and joins permanently after that.
That is definitely the best use for the Runesword early, but I would not go out of my way to buy one for him though. Even with a recruit's sword, Josef just destroys everything early game.
You give the Runesword to Radiant Knights. If you play FE you know the drill. It's a Physical class but has high magic so they wreck using the Runesword and kinda suck without it
The Runic Sword is great on Josef early on and later great for Radiant Knights
>The Truestrike Pike
where do you get this actually?
A few shops in Cornia sell 1, but the earliest is right at the start in Ouvrir Harbor (it is actually called Unwavering Spear).
I wish I looked like a fire emblem girl
I wish you did too. I look like a Fire Emblem boy
go away, troony.
Terrible pic Femleth looks like an actual troony
Drakenhold sounds a lot better and is way more fitting for a medieval setting. Look, it just is, okay?
>Drakengard
ptsd activated. makes unicorn overlord's cousinshipping look tame in comparison
Give me some great/OP unit formation, my best formation right now is literally just 3 cavalry up front + Chloe at the back as support/griffin killer.
Travis + Berengaria + Selvie
Gryphon Rider with Yahna with the tome that gives an ally ice attacks. You basically freeze an entire row and hit for 40-60 at like level 6
>tweening animation
They'll just stand in a cutscene, unblinking if they're in the background.
tldr, tweening is fine.
Sooo what should I get if anything at all from the divine shard shop? Gear looks like a trap and I hate consumables.
Buy the red and blue amulets
But AP / PP amulets.
The answer is always Amulets and feathers. This applies to every shop as well. Get them. You'll use all of them and still won't have enough.
Got it thanks.
Should I download the update?
Yes, it fixes a lot of broken tooltips.
how do i promote someone?
You need B renown, once you have it you promote using the honor currency at forts.
Get to B rank
Make them read/post NSFW stuff at their job.
seeing people use fire emblem terminology and stuff makes me wonder how this game feels to play if you treat it exactly like an fe gameplay wise
What do you mean? You mean if the board was on a grid and turn based instead of real time?
I never heard about this game till recently.
Sell me on it, why should I buy it?
I'm a little frustrated by a dumb meta thing but because I started with the demo, left it after that, and then picked it back up from my save, I feel like I have maybe half the knowledge the tutorial sets you up with still in memory so I'm not following battles perfectly like I was right after it was explained. I'm sure I'll get it back eventually, but I feel like I'm only "getting" what's happening as it happens like 80% of the time.
Not really have any issues, but hopefully wanna sort this so I can really enjoy the unit building. Maybe a reread of the tips is in order.
You can press Y after a battle ends so you can review exactly whay happened then. Good way to understand things
I want to remove Yahna from my main team, but her teleport is too useful when literally all of my other teams are led by cavalry or thieves who are leaving me in the dust.
Alain becomes mounted on promotion if that helps
When do the common enemies start being promoted? I might just delay my promos till then just to keep things fair
like 60% through drakenhold
Are there any games like this and fire emblem? I can't justify spending this much money on this game tbh
If you are on PC, just pirate it my dude.
Ogre Battle for this
Advance Wars kind of for FE
Respectively made by the same companies.
What ogre battle should I get? I just like seeing hot anime characters talk about fighting and destiny
Yggdra Union
>Monica's retainers ships her with Clive-dono
Monica doesn't deserve Clive.
does anyone even like Monica?
No
If I want a Radiant Knight I will use Miriam
Railanor in D tier btw
I like her jp voice
I like the idea of her tying Clive up so he's forced to watch her frick me.
Holy frick bros divine shards take forever to farm. I need the cat ear hood and this will probably take me 2 hours of mining frick me
why make the game even easier
I want to early cheese the colloseum
Should have executed Mandrin
I used cheat engine for that LMAO
How'd you get it to scan the memory while running it in an emulator?
Look it up on YouTube. Some mad lad managed to do it
Thanks, I was trying to find a solution earlier this week when I first downloaded this
Tick MEM_MAPPED in the scan setting. It works on Yuzu.
>People ringed Clive more than Monica
Bros before hoes.
Tempted to ring Aubin for that reason.
>set archers to "Prioritize Flying" and "Lowest HP"
>now they attacked the low HP fighter in the back row instead of the flying fricking wyvern in the front
this tactic stuff isn't very straightforward
The category in the right column gets priority because it's a JP game and they read in that order
no fricking way. did they explain that in the tutorial?
no but someone on the reddit tested and confirmed it
Someone explained it that the game first sorts by the left, and then sorts by the right. But that actually makes way more sense.
Create 2 tactics rows
>One with "Flying"
>One with "Lowest HP"
They will attack Fliers if they are present, and the lowest HP enemy if not.
Should I marry Fran or Celeste?
AAAAAAAAAA THE GAME SYSTEMS ARE SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD WHY ARE THE ENEMIES SO WEAKKKKKKKKKKKKK
A game with good systems can at least be modded to have good difficulty. Heck, modders will probably have a field day with the tactics setups.
they don't make srpgs and they were afraid to make the game too hard
+ they obviously underestimated how OP you get by just clearing every Liberation fight you run into, they're basically grinding maps like FE8
Hopefully modders can fix it
>Increase the renown tier requirements
>Increase divine shard item costs
>Increase enemy stats or buff their equipment loadouts
I NEED MORE ROASTED NUTS
Owl wife is best wife.
She's so fluffy and cute imagine snuggling with her in a tent out in the tundra and being overwhelmed by her feathery, fluffy goodness you'd never be cold.
>thought doom knights were too gimmicky to work
>turns out you just need a Toughness belt or two for literally immortal frontliners that can shit out damage
Two DK frontliners, a bishop with those shitty Grave Impertus boots and a resurrection staff is one of the funnest comps I got to work.
Kek
Why are cousins that look like your mom and act like a sister to you like this?
...u-um...Virginia knows a queen has to produce uh...an heir, r-right...? W-with the king? Sex...
of course, why do you think she is blushing?
Gotta keep the bloodline pure
What are you, a gay?
Unf imagine her becoming your older sister-wife instead of a cousin wife
>Unf imagine her becoming your older sister-wife instead of a cousin wife
Splurt
Because you can't beat the wincest
Will Dragons Dogma 2 keep this new trend of marrying your cousin?
I'm 100% sure Virginia was supposed to be your big sister in the original drafts
>there is a bunny shop keeper in furry land
>this means there is an entire race of bunnies in uo
Bros... We could have had a literal bunny girl thief as a party member. Instead we got a generic fox girl furry flop and owl hag that isn't even a bird.
Don't talk bad about my owl wife you fricking Black person.
OOOOO SEXOOOOOO UUUWWOOOOGGGH WHAT THE FRICK
Cute feets.
What a cutie
UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
BUNNY FEET EROTIC!! (T o T)
>bunny girls
i can't resist them. i'm so fricked.
So you can't have multiple moves that are "activate at start of battle" same team? Is there a gambit to fix this? Shit is dumb
I believe passives that are "limited" can only have one proc during a given timeframe.
This is correct
Only the limited battle start skill with the highest initiative activates
I love her translucent dress/skirt thing and how it teases her thighs. My fricking dick
Daily reminder that not very long ago your family could arrange a wedding for you and your cousin ans you could have a wife like Virginia
She's not my type.
I like fluffy hair
A shit
Why is she such a spiteful b***h?
The same way any woman is. Lack of good dicking
I swear there was some item that gave you thieves evade skill but I cant for the life of me find it in any shops, would really like it for my elven fencer
If you like this b***h that still hates you even after marriage you're a cuck.
What the frick would mommy think? Diluting your pure CORNIAN lineage with m*ttblood
Good thing I kept it with royalty.
it's implied that Virginia would've been wed to Alain if Zenoira shit never happened so
>it's implied that Virginia would've been wed to Alain if Zenoira shit never happened so
R-really?! That's hot, mommy's approval to wed a younger version of herself
Silence. You will not deter me from playing and getting fox breasts
someone post gameplay or I'm not gonna pirate it
your loss
Can you recruit the angel bawd before rescuing Scarlett? Is there a surefire way to farm divine shards?
Yes, just explore the map and collect them.
Shouldn’t even tell you for calling that pure angel a bawd
Executing potential recruits when given the chance.
The others are trolling. You can literally mine for them as they are random rare mine spawns.
Mining attempts are always postive as you can sell the ores. The only thing you'll lose is your time.
This was the most difficult game ever in terms of picking a girl
If cousinwife wasn't in, it would be hard between Miriam and Fran.
This kills the homosexuals and westoid slop maker.
>33 marriable girls
Holy shit 33 playthroughs just to hear what their dialogue would be.
i still cant get over the fact that she's actually really small, all the art and fanart made me think she was actually tall as frick.
I actually like her more that she's small. Girls should never be taller than guys as we need to crane our necks forward into their soft and inviting bosoms.
The taller the girl, the bigger the chest.
You can reset the maiden pair after finishing last story quest
>committing adultery
Silence israelite.
32 actually.
Alcina and mom you can't.
Scarlett's not on pic either.
>can't bang mom
>only cousin who looks just like her
We'll call it a draw.
Fran and Miriam kissing
>all those visible armpits
Well we see what part of the body one vanillaware developer clearly likes.
>blonde big titty childhood friend
>hot cousin with older sister vibes
>loose elf twins
>and so much more
Aye
>one guy constantly spamming these virginia OPs.
Cool it with this shit. It's getting obnoxious as frick
Gonna post another one with Virginia OP when this hits bump limit 🙂
https://arch.b4k.co/v/search/subject/unicorn/type/op/page/1/
Yeah you can tell it's the same person just from the filenames alone, guarantee you he never even played the game
how to recruit giblert
Virginia should be taller than Alain (only slightly though)
That would ruin their dynamic
The point is that he went from needing to be cared for by her as a child to being able to protect her as a man and their final rapport convo even brings it up
>I have 5 units and they're all lead by cavalry boosted by the griffon's skill
Yup, this is optimization.
What would the sex be like?
It would be very fluffy.
she's a big bird
I do find it funny how everyone draws Ramona without her pants. I know it's hotter this way, but still.
She doesn't wear any pants.
How do her glasses manage to stay on her face?
Glue
I didn't even notice she's wearing pants
The color is very similar to her "skin" color
The best kind of warm. It could be the most biting cold winter, and your nuts would still hang a couple inches off your body if you were bedding Dinah or Ramona
It would be a hoot
Early on but I'm curious how doable a generics only run is and what exactly you miss out on
Every rapport convo dinah has is being tsun as frick
alright, can i marry the owl and/or the other furry women in this game. if yes, i'm buying right now.
Yes you can. Remember the owl loves you, fox b***h hates you.
alright, i'll pick the fox girl. any b***h that "hates" me but wears my wedding ring is a b***h i want in my life
Have some self respect anon, fox b***h will make you miserable.
I'll make her miserable when she's bearing my fifty-second child. Full deck, motherfrickers.
fox girl even gets full 3 support convos with the MC like the most mainstream girls
is 1.01 still the most up to date version of the game?
>Virginia
>Is your cousin
>looks like your mother
>raised you like a sister
>Virginia
Was this naming intentional or is her jap name different?
all of the names are the same
How could they name the incest wife after the state that doesn't punish incest?
It's very likely, like others have said, that at some point that Virginia was likely Alain's cousin, and that could partially relate to why she marries Gilbert in her unpaired ending, but at some point the writers went frick that and made her Alain's cousin instead because first cousin marriage is legal in Japan.
Frick up. I meant she was Alain's sister at some point. The game went through so many drafts we don't know who was around from draft 1 to the final draft.
She could have grown up woth boy Alain, that usually happens when kids grow up together they become like brothers/sisters.
that's literally what her backstory already is
So you marry and impregnate a cousin sister that looks like your mom.
Indeed
>first cousin marriage is legal in japan
I wish I was japanese
Does any of you lads have a quick reference for class pairings
I've been bumrushing before and now my head is spinning from trying to optimize my units
i dont care if chloe falls off after a bit, i will continue using her and she will ONLY be on Alain's unit, simple as.
God she's so normal and ordinary...
literally perfect
Chloe a cute! Cute!
>Why yes, I did use the sub-optimal unit of Alain, Scarlett, Lex, and Chloe throughout the entire campaign. How could you tell?
>Wife: Virginia
>Liza in c
Any Berenicechads?
Looks like a man.
Firstly, look at where her talons and legs meet, those are clothing wrinkles and folds. They're even more clear on her overworld sprite.
Secondly, just look at the generic owls. Their feather color doesn't match the pants.
>more owl breasts
Holy FRICK!
>beard and breasts
uhhh... no thanks
It's neck fluff dumbass.
Meant for
I like her personality and some things about her design but the promo outfit sucks. We should've gotten an exposed muscular thigh class and another for the Landsknecht look. Combining them doesn't really work. The ugly shield doesn't help either.
>that Summon Warriors skill
Reporting in.
I feel like a proper Overlord sending those mercs in to soften enemies up.
thought that was a dude lmfao
You can still explore and stuff. No need to worry about that.
Which character gets the bench ASAP for you
Hod
Josef
Gaze upon the face of your demise
>tfw "Stand TRUE!"
I freakin love my step-dad like you wouldn't believe. Him being level 20 is perfect for babysitting home base or raising early game shitter units
Favourite voice lines?
Josef have some pretty iconic lines like
>GAYS CUM
and
>I SHALL CUM
those might be my favorites, yea.
Josef is really cool, sadly Sainted Knights just do what he does much better at higher levels
>CUM
fat hammer homie
I will never bench a named unit, as I have the divine spark and human agency.
Most dudes, harem party is only way
So Mandrin might be the most cucked character in the game (well aside from Clive if you ring Monica)
She can fit your whole head in just one talon.
Imagine what those would do to your wiener
>game teases you with an angel very early on
>beat the quest
>"actually i'm gonna run a shop, but have my healer friend :)"
Shame, I liked Ochlys pretty much immediately. I'm a sucker for holy women with a temper.
You get her very fast.
you can get her if you give her enough shards.
>healer """friend"""
Oh I know, I saw how close they were standing but yuri upsets some people so I didn't mention it
That's good to know
Yeah she makes as much clear. Looking forward to it.
Yuri makes it better because that means that even lesbians can't resist Alain's wiener.
Last I checked both of them can fall for Alain's dick
that just means you get a 2-for-1 deal
Man, why does the half erfu show off her pits so much? It forces me to keep using her!
>hates humans
>marries a human
Do elven women really
>surprised that racists want to frick the race they're prejudiced against
haven't been on Ganker for very long, huh
Elves in the game just gravitate towards BHC.
Why are they so attractive to all the non-human girls?
Exoticism is a two way street. The same way humans crave elves and bestrals because they’re different, the inverse is also true.
Because these stores are written by humans with a majority male audience.
It doesn't make sense, but it makes money.
>being surprised that one of the girs is MC-sexual
my moronic take about this game is that it gives you too many options
they give too little options actually. the single biggest problem with the tactics system is that it doesn't have a 'if class' condition. there's a billion fricking infantry classes, 'if infantry' is a nearly worthless condition
Where is beginner 3 and moderate 1?
Beginner 3 is far northwest in Cornia near the beach area, east of the mermaid carving I think
100% map traversal with all quests and marks completed in the game
just 4u
Okay, but where do I find Bastorias' sigil quest journal?
don't remember
when you recruit the dark elf fencer in elheim
what about the hippocampus carving in palevia?
That's the one above the starter island? Take a boat from Albion
ouf I just noticed you can't see completed amneoi armaments and carvings
when do i get to use the stone circles
Do you recall how to get up here? North of Drakengard.
there's nothing there
once you get 100% or clear the game(?) all the areas outside where you can traverse auto clears
Ah, that sucks. Thanks.
why's ludwig such a b***h
Anyone getting mileage out of doom knights?
Since Atlus was the publisher, what are the chances that we're going to get FE collab DLC?
Don't think Vanillaware has ever done collabs like that. I do hope we get some kind of DLC though.
I crave my cousin because we have the same hair color and eye color.
Post food.
What am I supposed to do if I go into Unicorn Overlord before saving Scarlett? How do I overcome the level gap?
Is using Summon Warriors as a crutch to weaken units and then risk the final blow the only way?
Remember when we were dooming about five romanceable girls now we can romance them all
The "romance" in this game is tacked on braindead stupid shit.
If you want romance read a fricking romance story coomer pussies
>romance story
a game with visual novel elements and romance, is a story with romance. therefore, i am doing nothing wrong. seethe and feethe, gaymaster supreme
They’re remarkably based for giving us not one but two HMoFA options among those, and I want more fantasy games to take notes there.
The schizo posting about Scarlett being the only candidate was pretty funny.
Could also be the case. Which is a far better stance than "they're not selling 3 million in one week? Axe them" approach many other publishers are taking.
Only one that ever mattered was Ochlys
>Scarlett's breasts bouncing out of control every time she takes a step
Jesus christ Vanillaware
you should play dragon's crown and pick sorceress or amazon
How overleveled were you guys when you went to Drakenhold? I had like level 15-16 characters at the very first battle there. Clearing all I could in Cornia first might have been overkill for this.
im pretty sure i cleared the whole first area and was still around level 15, i dont think you can overlevel by accident.
After the demo I was like level 15 average, but I did everything, doesn't seem like most people are completing the whole area now if they start over
now replace "dating sim" with "porn"
Left out Triangle Strategy
>when the ost hits at the final final boss
>it's a slight remix
man that was good
thank god you spoiler tagged final boss otherwise i would've known that there's a final boss
>there's a final boss
AY WHAT THE FRICK MAN you can't just say that shit unspoilered
Don't care. I WILL frick the hag and make her my wife.
is the merc chick you get early on any good?
Berenice? Yeah
her valor skill scales with the map's level, you can summon mooks to weaken a garrisoned boss before going in yourself for an easy kill
She's very useful for doing the final battle early because the units she summons scale with the map's level.
AHHHHHH I WANNA FRICK THE OWL
That’s hilarious
UNICORN OVERLORD 2 WHEN?
Now with self insert avatar included
Please no
do the unique characters get any gameplay difference from their generic counterparts?
only the ones with unique classes
no
no
>Berengaria and Berenice in the same party
>Give Bruno some glasses a better axe and Warcry
>89 crit at level 9
All you have to do is make this homie hit and you win.
Behold, peak Bruno performance
Men tactic like this and see nothing wrong with it
what accessory gives that?
Sniper's amber lens, sold somewhere in west bastorias.
Yes.
wait then what does (grounded) even mean?
Oh, turns out I lied. Forgot grand smash had that property. Still won't hit flying.
I thought ground meant it doesn't his fliers, the fricks it even mean then
does that hit flying enemies
Herp.
Should I play with JP or EN voices? Which one fits the setting more?
>JP has Aoi Yuuki
>Eng doesn't have Aoi Yuuki
Seems cut and dry for me, you may disagree.
Is she playing a e-girl chara?
there are no e-girls in this game except for generic town npcs
She's the de-hag'd hag Yahna.
Anyone here changed growths with those mirrors for anyone? Feels like some late game thing since they cost 30k.
japanese female woman voice > english roastie voice
>die before attacking
I don't like gladiators.
As it is it feels like they went with mind control just because they couldn't be assed to think of another way to have defeated units join your side and not to actually use it against Alain in any way.
holy shit bestrals go apeshit at night
meanwhile angels are like... oh i guess my guard refunds pp in the day... my stats are still exactly the same though haha
The angels are disappointing tbh, they're so slow
newbie advices? it is my first time playing this type of game, i just completed the tutorial
have fun
play without help like god intended pussy
All right, i will follow your recommendations bro.
I don't like Lex anyway. I will replace him as soon as i can.
why is alain a pitbawd
They had to give a little to the fujos (and me) as the game is very waifu heavy
*sniff*
need dinah. need her so bad. it's not fair
I was a Dinah hater until I heard her voice.
I love Laura Post so much bros
When the frick do shops restock I need more active heal
they never restock
wait what
i should probably stop burning through items then
eh you open up one or multiple shop with items anytime you win a battle so it's probably ok
There's no reason to hoard or worry about it unless you're burning through items in auxiliary battles since there's a item use cap
Never. Only other active heal is a reward from one of the coliseum fights.
They don't restock.
I loved the game so much. I went and bought it for PS4. I don't have a PS4
Thanks for supporting Vanillaware and enabling George Kamitani's schizo hatred of an entire platform
I don't like his schizo hatred for PC but I don't want VW to fold either..
It won't. Casuals on reddit are praising normal for the difficulty lol
i'm doing this on expert. you're good bro
the duality of man
Every copy of Unicorn Overlord is personalized
How do I beat the Gloucester stage? This is getting ridiculous.
hard to say without knowing what you're struggling with
just send a flier or two to the top left to get the ruins there first and the rest to the right, then keep going right
if you're struggling against the boss use gryphons, Travis as a frontline that steals the bosses PP so he doesn't buff himself too often
I will marry Monica
I will make Clive my best man
We will imprison him and put him in a little cage in our bedroom
Okay Monica, go away.
>t. Monica
are there some tactics logic that will frick me over?
for archers for example
if I set their truesight to activate only if a thief or a flyer is on field
is it if: thief and if: flyer
or should it be two separate ones
if: thief
if: flyer
similarly if i set like single shot to ONLY kill thieves or flyers
if i dont have another attack set, they will literally never attack in any other scenario correct?
can't tell you for the top, but for the bottom yes you're right
Condition 1 and 2 are treated as AND not OR
So you have to make 2 different skill orders
>Sharon doing quick heals on Lex when >50%HP AND Sorcerer's Familiar buffs on Yahna attacks thanks to extra Lapis PP
I know you guys are already mid game and all but this unit clicking for me is some GOOD shit.
Playing on expert and in Drakenhold now. Only tactics I've had to chance are some absolutely moronic ones that were default set for healing. It was so funny to watch unit that can also attack waste her turn on healing frontline that has lost 1hp.
Say something nice about my useful wife Melisandre.
Aryan party
Her butthole is really tight
>all female woman party
where are your men?
>letting your women party up with any man that isn't Alain
cuck
Man late game seems like it'll be fun
For now everyone has like 1-2 skills ant 1-2 ap/pp at most and there's hardly anything to customize
Stealing your army color scheme, thanks bro
She gets 2 swords? That's awesome. I hope my Alain/Melisandre/Auch/Yahna unit will last for the whole game, they're my favourite characters so far.
What should next OP be
Monica
bruno
Give an unknown girl a chance, like Ridiel or Liza
>Alain training his horse to do the bullshit he does after promotion
>only 3 male romance options
yep I'm not buying this shit. I hope the game flops and the studio dies.
every vanillaware game flops, it's not special
So is it confirmed you can marry your cousin??? Please say yes
yes
Cousin who literally looks like your mom and is specifically said to be more like a big sister to you
That just makes it hotter. Buying just for this
Vanillaware can now afford to feed their staff for one more day.
when can you promote
Rank B
renown rank B, it costs Honor so don't go too wild creating unecessary squads you'll never field while you're C rank
Renown b and the first main town in drakenhold
Until I get to 5 units in a squad is there any actual benefit to having more than a single tank in the front row as the only front row unit? Damage dealing capabilities seem completely unaffected by row.
Anyone?
Is there a large difference between units of the same class? This game suddenly threw 3 warriors at me
you can check their growth types, that's the only difference
They seem identical too.
Unique characters start with set growths. Yhese can be changed with an idealists mirror but it's not really worth doing so unless you're minmaxing or you just want to change how a character looks. Caps will always be hit because they are by class at max level.
Does it affect the story and character availability if you go to Elheim or Drakenhold first?
no, you're intended to go to drakenhold first progression wise
You can do the first quest to cross into Elfheim to pick up Rosalinde, but the first quest will probably rape you unless you cleared all of Cornia
Man, quick cast ice coffin witch is a b***h!
this is gonna be one of those games where you only really field a pretty small amount of units despite having like 50 isnt it
Yeah, except the exact opposite
