Though it is perplexing why Soulless Hackjob 2 isn't on Switch. It is legitimately a game from 2 gens ago so it should work well on the Switch with some minor compromises, i.e. 20fps 480p.
I thought that'd be enough to make you realize that even if SMTV were to be released on PC it wouldn't be that much better without fan mods.
SMTV isn't cheap looking because of the switch, SMTV is cheap looking because Atlus doesn't want to spend budget developing high quality visuals.

That only works if the game is aesthetically pleasing. These Unity sweatshop-generated graphics are the furthest thing from that, they look cheap and it gives off the impression that they're trying to sell a game with no budget for the same price as a AAA game. Which they are.

I guess I'm not really hating on it or anything, I just don't understand how someone could look at that and think it's worth $60. Even putting aside the graphics, the character designs look bland enough to have been outsourced, and we're all familiar by now with some of the awful dialogue. I don't know about other storefronts but I know lots of people on Steam buy games day 1 just to be the first to put le funny review for upvotes and awards. Valve sure knows their target audience.

is there a reason I have never seen people complain about the graphics in smt5 compared to the obsession with this game? I haven't played this one, maybe it's like really bad, but smt5 was nothing spectacular when I was playing it, plus the art direction was fricking boring on top of that
