Event Horizion is going to save the franchise and it'll be completely free, I don't care what Nintendo does at this point

I'm still not a fan on it's idea of just redoing or trying to "fix" the past games, honestly wish it just focused only on Krystal and what was left from Dinosaur Planet and let the StarFox stuff vague

They'd definitely play starfox adventures again.

No frick you. That's ALL we've wanted. Just give us more good rail shooters with more open world sections. Stop changing the formula.

Starfox 2 was locked to the SNES classic for a long time. Not a lot of people are going to pay 80 dollars, or whatever that thing cost, to play a 20 year old game.

New Soup sells more, that's why.

      Daddy Imamura said as such.

      https://www.videogameschronicle.com/features/interviews/takaya-imamura/

      >Nintendo always said they could only make new instalments of certain series if they could only come up with a new idea. Why has that been the case with F-Zero and Star Fox, whereas other series like Kirby or Fire Emblem see regular releases, which are quite iterative?

      >I think it’s a question of sales.

You can still create new stuff in a platforming game, even if the gameplay itself is kinda limited. What else can you do on Starfox's stages if you already run out of stages?

To be fair Nintendo made straight forward sequels to F-Zero and that didn't stop people from eventually not giving a shit, as pic related shows.

Maybe Star Fox would of gone done a similar path even if they made the SF64 successors "people wanted".

I guess I can understand wanting to use Star Fox for experimental bullshit, SNES and 64 pushed their respective systems' limits, but every now and then you gotta rein it in and deliver something solid, or the whole experiment is lost. Just go back to the original formula, make it a little faster, add some SOVL, and Star Fox becomes a top seller for the next generation.

    >Star Fox 64 3D was a 3DS release with updated visuals
    >Star Fox Zero was a remake of SF64 with some new WiiU gimmicks

I don't even like Star Fox and I think what they've done with the series is pathetic. At least shit like Assault and Adventures was using the IP, now it's just stagnated into boring crossovers like the Starlink shit. Bit sad innit

      A combination of

      1. she's hot
      2. also the underlying tragedy of a character who was meant to be the co-star of her own game before it ended up being hijacked by star fox where she was demoted (and at one point, removed entirely https://www.reddit.com/r/starfox/comments/152v7da/i_recovered_this_old_interview_with_rare/) to just being a damsel only in the game for a good 10 minutes, so now there's a desire for revengence and to "do her justice".

Todd should have developed Starfield within the Starfox universe. Also Metroid and Starfox need a crossover.
