Unless you radically change the gameplay, Starfox will never have another game.
Nobody wants to play Starfox 64 for the third or fourth time.

Event Horizion is going to save the franchise and it'll be completely free, I don't care what Nintendo does at this point
I'm still not a fan on it's idea of just redoing or trying to "fix" the past games, honestly wish it just focused only on Krystal and what was left from Dinosaur Planet and let the StarFox stuff vague
>Nobody wants to play Starfox 64 for the third or fourth time.
They'd definitely play starfox adventures again.
No frick you. That's ALL we've wanted. Just give us more good rail shooters with more open world sections. Stop changing the formula.
This painted Krystal came out a bit wanky compared to the others
>to the others
Are there others?
Yeah, this guy is practicing his painting skills by doing portraits of krystals over and over
That's cool, he should keep practicing then
he should paint tasteful nudes of her haha
ok post the other ones
That's clearly just a cropped teaser of the OP pic tho
It's the only one i saved
she actually looks cool when pissed off
I think the red colours really sell the anger.
Oh please, they didn't even properly make it a second time.
Just make a Zelda clone.
Besides why did people hate this game again? It's pretty good and runs at a locked 60 fps.
I hated it because I want to fly a fighter in space
>expect more spaceship shooting
>adventure game with some wonky bits
>annoying triceratops gay
>not as fun as Banjo Kazooie
Starfox 2 was locked to the SNES classic for a long time. Not a lot of people are going to pay 80 dollars, or whatever that thing cost, to play a 20 year old game.
>Starfox 2 was locked to the SNES classic for a long time.
How dare you laugh at me, anime woman
>No one wants to play Ace Combat for the 7th time
???
All i want is battlefield 2142 with modern gameplay and anthros
I play sf64 all the time, and i definitely would play it again.
Just don't frick it up with stupid gimmick shit.
oh okay but five fricking NSMB games was perfectly fine
New Soup sells more, that's why.
Daddy Imamura said as such.

>Nintendo always said they could only make new instalments of certain series if they could only come up with a new idea. Why has that been the case with F-Zero and Star Fox, whereas other series like Kirby or Fire Emblem see regular releases, which are quite iterative?
>I think it’s a question of sales.
>Kirby or Fire Emblem
Neither of which are Nintendo properties kek
You can still create new stuff in a platforming game, even if the gameplay itself is kinda limited. What else can you do on Starfox's stages if you already run out of stages?
no anon control your horny! The blue vixen isnt the focus here
>Completely fail to build up on core flight shooter mechanics and in fact take out the multiple paths.
>Chain all games to either gimmicks or genre experiments that don't work.
>Be surprised when the games keep losing sales
To be fair Nintendo made straight forward sequels to F-Zero and that didn't stop people from eventually not giving a shit, as pic related shows.
Maybe Star Fox would of gone done a similar path even if they made the SF64 successors "people wanted".
I guess I can understand wanting to use Star Fox for experimental bullshit, SNES and 64 pushed their respective systems' limits, but every now and then you gotta rein it in and deliver something solid, or the whole experiment is lost. Just go back to the original formula, make it a little faster, add some SOVL, and Star Fox becomes a top seller for the next generation.
>third or fourth time
Fifth actually
>Star Fox 1
>Star Fox 64 was a reimagining/remake of SF1
>Star Fox 64 3D was a 3DS release with updated visuals
>Star Fox Zero was a remake of SF64 with some new WiiU gimmicks
I don't even like Star Fox and I think what they've done with the series is pathetic. At least shit like Assault and Adventures was using the IP, now it's just stagnated into boring crossovers like the Starlink shit. Bit sad innit
Make Mass Effect but with space combat and furgays, easy
>People want more Starfox
>They release Starfox 2
>Radio silence
You guys just wanna frick Krystal
Fortunately, there is a niche Starfox can fill in Nintendo's portfolio- it can become furry Ace Combat in space.
How are people so dedicated to a blue space fox
i don't know if i dreamt that up but i think someone did start an unironic krystal cult
A combination of
1. she's hot
2. also the underlying tragedy of a character who was meant to be the co-star of her own game before it ended up being hijacked by star fox where she was demoted (and at one point, removed entirely https://www.reddit.com/r/starfox/comments/152v7da/i_recovered_this_old_interview_with_rare/) to just being a damsel only in the game for a good 10 minutes, so now there's a desire for revengence and to "do her justice".
Unironically good character design
Todd should have developed Starfield within the Starfox universe. Also Metroid and Starfox need a crossover.
Why aren't video games fun anymore?
>Nobody wants to play Starfox 64 for the third or fourth time.
Didn't 64 3DS sell decently well?
They kinda need to actually do another new railshooter without a really stupid controller gimmick first.
Every 3DS game sold well tho
