Classes are back.
Game feels slower overall. I think the player model size has been lowered and the running speed. ADS speed nerfed too.
Feels more grounded / Battlefield like but I really dislike the ADS speed.

pretty far from dead if I can find full servers at any time of day for the main modes, though that's probably exclusively thanks to the crossplay.
the only thing that's truly dead is that barely-Tarkov-wannabe mode, Hazard Zone. no one plays that boring shit.
I do wish they'd make it F2P, or at least Portal mode so more people are playing on servers over there.

Here's a question for you, why are they making these changes? They clearly didn't give two shits when the game was being presented in "alpha" and they 100% ignored all feedback with the "We showcased a 6 months old build, it's cool".

It's a repeat of Battlefield 2. They nerfed the movement speed, ADS etc.
They upped the TTK silently, like they did with BFV THREE times.
Half the weapons are unusable now.
They listen to homosexuals like JackFrags and Reddit and try to "save face".
As for "feedback". There is new management (Vince Zampela) but he's likely working on the next game already. Better than Candy Crush / Tom Clancy Devs being the lead. He's likely just written the game off and said do whatever the community wants to keep them happy.
He's working on BF2042s sequel, they opened up a new studio literally dedicated just to do lore and campaign bullshit for these memorable heroes.

That's a good thing, 2042 is very fast paced for a Battlefield game and I don't like that.

However when you start fricking with ADS times, you frick the entire game. It's an awful way to "balance" the game. BF4 did this well.
Too little, too late. They were warned by the entire community during and after their alphas and betas, but they decided to completely ignore every single piece of feedback.
Now they want to come crawling back and beg players to come back, because they realized how much they fricked up. The maps will still be shit, the weapons will still be shit, the gadgets will still be shit, etc. the game is just a dumpsterfire.
How did they frick this game up so badly? Modern shooter fans are the easiest group of people to please in the entire industry, literally just give them the same game from 20yrs ago with new maps, weapons and gear.

BF4 was overrated IMO. It was only good in certain maps / modes / player counts / bans etc.
Battlefield 3 was the king.

Class changes were unnecessary and not really what people wanted. What they wanted was not to be forced to play as a Black person, gameplay wise its not that different really.
I'm loving being able to revive and have the trophies though and the new revive sound is pretty good. Damage numbers are nice but it really should just be score like every other BF. They did change the scoreboard but its still moronic and doesn't count everything like it should.
Breakaway is still just as disgustingly shit, why the frick did they think its fun to be killed by players 90 degrees above you just delete the entire ice portion of the map it sucks.
Still feels like there's way to few guns and the vault weapons having no stat tracking or progression makes me not want to use them at all. No consistent matches still fricks me off so much as well.
