I want it to be good
Facebook game lineup was pretty soulless. It's like Zuck decided "okay, i'll give you games" and choose all the IPs that are on charts. No, I don't care about Stranger Things shit.
Taking bets on whether the stream starts with a countdown timer.
Do ppl really care about VR?
Kinda, it's more something I like to keep my eye on.
vr but shes naked and on your dick
I want to smash her face in until you can see the back of her fricking skull.
>her
Clopician 3d VR technocolor horse lewds are absolutely worth the price of admission to me.
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
https://v4c.fun we have our own chat, join if ye please
Yes, I can see that.
You already put it in the fricking OP 15 posts ago.
Make sure to post it again 5 minutes from now just in case anyone's forgotten about it in that time.
>VR citybuilding game
But... what's the point?
What does it game from VR?
The same appeal as a little model train set rather than being boring shit like simcity
why not if yo ucan view the size of your city, google maps vr is interesting
Previous ones have never had much new stuff just more VR Shovelware but who knows I like to keep my eye out, my Index is just a glorified movie watch with some people now.
So should I get the Quest 3 or wait for deckard? Never owned a VR headset
did they steal Doom imp model?
multiplayer only games are as good as dead in VR, less shelf-life that FOTM games
>multiplayer only games are as good as dead in VR
vrchat doing good
VRChat isn't a game
for you
hell yea
How's Pavlov doing?
Just got a 30GB update and crossplay with PSVR2
>they haven't even finished Stride and now making a sequel
I forgot that almost all of these are going to be Quest store only, I know I can use Revive but last time I did it was a clunky experience
where are the games
VR "games" are just tech demos.
PCVRbros how are things looking for us?
Things ain't looking good for anyone
Dead MP games
Games that look like are still only 1-2 hour experiences
Quest Only store
the Unreal injector or whatever will make a bunch of games playable in VR with varying quality
The Flatscreen to VR community do some pretty decent stuff sometimes. Not all of them are hit's though
layers of makeup
>english
checks out
might b cool, if i can ride the coaster myself, i'd just tour my house
>ding
Schell games is that Lucasarts dude, i like those games, never played i expect you to die
Im buying Apple vision instead
>another Battle royale game
>in VR
it's dead jim
coastermania looks fun, good use of vr drawing tools and ar
>game looks okay
>FOR QUEST
Genotype looked cool too. Frick
The Events at Unity Farm has a demo on steam, gunna try that.
I think it's multiplayer as it's open beta?
Almost fricking all of it is quest, I think 3 of the games shown so far even have steam pages right now
>its all fricking trash
absolutely hilarious
>this is worth over $200
Cause most VR 'games' are incredibly overpriced because only like 5 people will buy them. Also in fairness I think 2 are very new
Not on humble it isn't. $20 right now.
Another multiplayer only arena game
bloody 'ell
Lmao this is why nobody takes VR tards seriously
Literally shovelware, VR headsets are sold exclusively on FOMO tactics and VRtards slop it up
VR is good, developing everything for Meta Quest is bad.
Nah, it's not. also the reason why they do it is because headset market share is fragmented the only realistic way the developers are going to make money is by doing contracts for certain headsets
It's a shame that the hardware is SOO low and mobile comparitive on the quest, but I understand it considering sales figures and stuff.
Is Quest the console of VR? Forcing devs to cater to its weak specs and bring the quality down for everyone just because of how popular the platform is?
if you don't make patreon pornslop, then quest is the only way your game will at least sell some copies
the PSVR 2 is the literal console of VR. But yes, quest games are downgraded steamVR games. But most VR don't cater to the top spec PC anyways, so its a moot point
Quest is mobile tech
The Meta VS shit basically has the power of an Ouya on your head and the games look like it too
VR Now has mascot horror, real games now
OK, sold
All these multiplayer shooter VR games make me want someone to make a Dark and Darker-ripoff multiplayer dungeon crawling VR game.
you can probably make this yourself in a week in GMOD, since it has VR support
just make a world for vrchat
If it's not a quest compatible world in VRC it likely won't get ANY traffic.
What's involved in making a world Quest-compatible? Is it not just a toggle?
I don't play VRchat.
nobody uses quest worlds
You are joking right? If it's not quest it's dead after a couple days. Look at the most played list and you'll see out of about 80, probably 15? will be PC only. There's tons of really strong worlds with innovative ideas and stuff but nobody will go there cause not quest and no other traffic so dead.
You have to use certain shaders and due to the limitations some stuff has to be massively limited.
who cares about popular quest goyslop when vket and shit like ORGANISM are pc only
Vket is kind of a different thing and they do Quest stuff, they separate it cause it's the smarter thing to do and cut down the worlds for it and stuff.
As for Organism, It's getting about 100 visits a day, Which is still good considering but it's still the only a cherry picked one. It's creator also is pumping out the Prequel chapters, also imo it's all shit but that's purely opinion.
Someone made one in VRC I haven't tried it but it's completley dead, PC only.
No idea I know that they HAVE an applab thing that some stuff you gotta check through that.
why make a Dark & Darker game in VRChat under the thumb of some gays
Outta Hand looks like it could be fun. Like To The Top with more fluid parkour.
Turtlerock studios won guys, there are more EVOLVE clones than L4d clones now
I just wish people made more The Hidden clones
as someone who last dusted off the headset for hl alyx, im going to go out on a limb here and say I missed absolutely nothing good since then
I can't find anything about this anywhere online. No website, no Twitter, not even any articles or mentions of it.
Oh this is free, I had not seen or heard of this at all
You searched Meta quest app lab thing?
Meta quest games, better reinstall Revive for more slop
>You searched Meta quest app lab thing?
This? https://www.applabdb.com/
It's not there either.
>Outta Hand is the debut VR project from Israel-studio Capricia Productions.
ANOTHER BATTLE ROYALE
woah.. so this-- is the power of VR?
Is that Minecraft Steve?
Oh wow, this is a VR game now?
I remember playing this shit like a decade ago.
Don't care unless its using a SteamVR/OpenVR release; frick exclusives by contract bullshit delivered to you on a Meta spying device. Apple's new bullshit is going to be worse and cost $3500 . I can only hope that this gets Valve to focus on the Deckard next gen sequel to the Index (which is still the best all around VR platform). I know Valve can't count to 3, but they can at least make some really good 2's and 2.x's .
>frick Meta and Apple spying devices, let me play it on my Valve spying device
Looks like we've got a zuccbot taking over your mind
>one platform is proprietary, includes an onboard mobile phone SoC you can't ever turn off or access at a low level, goes out of their way to have a special store for exclusives by contract throwing money at developers like timmy tencent, related to the biggest fricktard in datamining behind Facebook.
>Other develops an open source, linux friendly VR standard. Headset connects to your PC, tech is under your control. Not connected to a huge data mining operation or social media shitstorm. Allows users and modders full reign.
We are not the same, zuccbot.
Valve don't make money spying on people. Facebook makes billions every year doing exactly that
Valve don't have a massive wikipedia page full of nefarious shit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Facebook
>Only halfway through
IDK how much more shovelware I can take bros
It took about 3 years for casuals to stop getting Motionsick after 20 minutes of having a VR set so hopefully we get longer games
>someone you may recognize as the coolest person in all of VR
For a split second I was hoping for a Gaben announcement.
same
i expected Carmack
Carmack was my first thought too. Could not have been more disappointed
carmack is done with vr
The pixel ripped games are on steam at least. Just a shame it's multi plat so it's gotta work for hte lowest denominator
>VR wagie simulator
This shit is so bizarre to me.
actual good use of VR
Truly Simpsons was ahead of its time.
How the frick can simpsons predict the future so good?
Not on Steamvr/openxr
apple vr won't be openxr so it won't help
That's completely closed off anyway so it won't be meta quest either, they have their own store. It's also 'AR' not VR/XR technically. It'll also probably die like metaverse.
You just know they're mapping the insides of everyone's homes with this shit.
use your irl gun for greater immersion
Oh now that's some MAJOR shit. They basically left the Steam version of Espire as a buggy mess and just updated the Quest version, now they're continuing? Frick off with that crap, thhe game could have been at least decent if they didn't run like little b***hes.
the Stride devs did the same thing in this very direct
Ugh that's disappointing.
Also have to say Budget Cuts / Budget Cuts 2 is a very nice alternate to the bad bullshit behavior. They released on Steam first, have REALLY well supported the game (original Budget Cuts was updated to use BC2's engine when 2 came out) and deserve the support. Need ot look into Ultimate edition though
sans underrtale
finally the last dyscronia part
No Steamvr/OpenXR, WHYYY
it will come to switch
No steam page for either, the Dyscronia thing didn't put steamvr on the trailer, didn't see Sushi Ben
The last 2 anime things seemed interesting (the dyscronia and the sushi ben/ping pong thing?) but frick it if there's no SteamVR version.
>SteamVR version
it will come eventually, probably after the PSVR2
Not acceptable. We need to get away from exclusive by contract shit, not "oh just wait ages, and then have us release it on the platform you wanted and is most capable, for the same price as when we launched it originally". We don 't need to do every new stupid decision just because its "VR".
chapter III.
haven't even played the first 2
>did you even play the first 2 games
Is Dyschronia any good? Contemplating getting the 3 chapter bundle.
all 3 games have a character voiced by nier automata 2B
holy frick, the rumors were true!!!!
HUNT SHOWDOWN VR!!!!
I'd buy a game about just her.
The Burst looks cool as shit
>cell shaded cartoon indie shooter
>cell shaded cartoon indie puzzle game
>cell shaded sports game
>cell shaded cartoon indie shooter with dramatic music
>cell shaded cutesy indie puzzle shooter
>cell shaded quick time event music game
>cell shaded cutesy horror game with annoying jap voices
>cell shaded cute racing game
etc etc
Have I missed out anything?
couldve just said shovelware and saved yourself the time to type all this up
finally some good VR
This would have been awesome back in the day when I still played DnD-like games with friends
Could be neat, glad they're supporting Steam. Also its not VR only. The question I have is if the "dungeon" element is just rolling dice or if users are actually involving in combat in VR , or if its a "every physical swipe with the sword is a dice roll equivalent" . sort of thing?
There's a Demo and I think it's steamvr Only?
What was it called?
Dungeon Full Dive.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1710740/Dungeon_Full_Dive/
kek
Its meant for tabletop gaming, if you tell everyone without a headset to frickoff then you lose a lot of potential users. Its a good decision.
The giveaway is winning a Quest 2. I'd imagine most people that are watching this have a Quest 2 or something better.
has there been many attempts at a god game in vr yet? as in you're above some npcs and call down lightning on them or something
Deiism
>borrow my friends Quest 2 and play Alyx
>it's just an okay game and probably the worst Valve HL game.
Vr is a meme and I'm happy I didn't waste money on it.
Or is there any game better tha Alyx to prove me wrong?
play HL2 vr mods
I'll check it out, ty anon
I don't want watch porn on my friends vr with Facebook spying on me.
>Or is there any game better tha Alyx to prove me wrong?
Porn.
The thing with a lot of VR for the majority stuff right now still requires a lot of tweaking or tinkering to get working. I recommend checking out "Flatscreen to VR" They make mods for non VR games and turn them into VR. It can be really hit and miss, some are great some feel soo bad.
Beat Saber is pretty much the golden child of VR games. It's a simple premise, but it's engaging. Like a full-body Osu.
You may have been better playing it on an Index w with full hand tracking and other stuff, but yea there are some other games depending on what you want.
Like rhythm games? RagnaRock,, Beat Saber and many others are fun in VR and decent exercise when you get going depending.
Blade and Sorcery is a fantasy sandbox that's modding friendly
VTOL VR is a very well done little flight sim
Vox Machinae is a heavy battletech-esq mech style combat title
I Expect You To Die 1 and 2 - James Bond spy sims, figure out the puzzle before you die, blow yourself up etc.
Budget Cuts 1 and 2 (and soon Ultimate which includes both) - Stealth action meets portal style robots looking to "retire" the last human working at their automated company.
Boneworks and then Bonelab - more "advanced" VR motion style titles etc
H3, Pavlov, and many others are shooters. Some are more multiplayer or sandbox, others are story/campaign. Into the Radius for instance is more of the latter like a Stalker-esq title, Vertigo and Vertigo 2 are puzzle shooter adventures etc.
There's more, but its not all a meme but there is a lot of shovelware or just overpriced stuff . There are a lot of games that also have a well supported "VR mode" but are n't ONLY for VR.
does Pop1 have players? It went F2P
POP1? Which title do you mean?
Oh by the way a followup
Consortium Remastered / Consortium VR - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1428880/CONSORTIUM_VR/ - is a fantastic upgrade to the original Consortium which was a great indie built on Source back in the day and still has a huge amount of freedom.
Also the devs, IDGI, are excellent at worldbuilding and the game is setup in a way that the plot is "by playing the video game, you're literally going into the head of some guy in an alternate reality" , and even back in the day you had a number of things you could say for every little interaction (at least 3), with a huge cascade of where that could take you. They're porting it VR for even better immersion stuff and the "remastered" version will be playable on a standard display, but both of them instead of Source will be on UE4/UE5 etc, and then after that they're remaking the unfinished second chapter of the story "The Tower" to be of the same level of immersion, tech etc.
You can probably find a key for the original 2014 era Consortium for a couple bucks and it will give you access to the VR and Remastered versions in EA.
Population 1
Wait isn't the Consortium that game that was like a space narrative but it ended on a cliffhanger expecting to be like multiple chapters but it bombed so they stopped it? I didn't know they were working on a VR, I enjoyed the 2014 version, It was clunky as frick but i found some gold in there.
I don't see the VR thing in my collection only the remastered 🙁
Some of the games had Steamvr named but no steam page yet, whether they will even come. Kind of poor on their part
Let me look into it, it may be that there's a VR beta branch in Remastered. It does get a little confusing, just how both the 2D remastered and VR branches used to be tested from the original game on Steam betas with passwords (they put in the forum to activate them) not their own entries.
Let me see if one is "ahead of the other" or if they're both still needed I haven't checked for awhile.
>he played alyx
play h3vr blade & sorcery or boneworks instead of that overhyped bland piece of shit
B&S is BS overhype though, it's just an arena
Played blade & sorcery.
Motion controls don't fricking work with melee when you have basically no feedback for when your weapon was blocked or hit a wall.
This is the problem with a lot of VR stuff, Ragna rock playing the drums just feels clunky, it's why Beat Saber works so well. Opening a door, pressing a lever all just feel so weirdly clunky and I can never get into it.
VR is mid unless they release the Quest 3 for 200bux and Index 2 for 350bux at the most. nobody is dropping a grand on a fricking headset sheeeit
The Beyond is a good price point for enthusiasts too, the tech is BEGINNING to get better just need that price drop now, so 2-4 years still
>nobody is dropping a grand on a fricking headset
Are you poor or something?
and so is everyone else
no I am an adult with a mortgage and other bills to pay + savings to top up
my days of being a NEETrat wasting money on expensive gadgets are long gone
the dark souls of vr games
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1910860/Grimlord/
Could be good tbh
AR seems like even more of a gimmick than VR.
I can't see "make a race track or roller coaster, but IN YOUR HOUSE!" being fun for more than an hour.
oooh a Thad recursive puzzle game
>stick 2 screens on eyes
>DUDE VIRTUAL REALITY LMAO
when is this meme going to end?
We're probably 20 years away from brain-computer interfaces at best.
don't forget
>motion control
waggle
name a better alternative
Why does almost every VR game still look like a high-res DS game?
IT's mostly made for Quest so it's running on literal Mobile tech.
they're all fricking shit. Meta has killed VR gaming
Most are indie, and indie games aren't exactly known for super high-quality textures and effects.
lots of indie devs, not alot of budget
Is that David Hayter in "Synapse"
>Exclusive to PSVR2
yes
Did you guys see anything you actually want to play?
negative
There's a few that I'll keep my eye on to see reception and stuff but I'm not very hopeful in general, nothing standout that makes me want to go out and play right now. Back to my VR Porn and ERP
The burst, Sushi ben, and maybe drums rock depending on how the custom songs work
Sushi Ben is...not on Steam I'm guessing?
RagnaRock is currently available and is one of the better rhythm titles, this is just a new content pack expansion. Yes, its on Steam .
Sushi ben seems to be psvr2 exclusive
>Sushi Ben is...not on Steam I'm guessing?
itch page says
>Coming 2023 on all major VR platforms!
You are right, the top trailer was the ps one and it was intentionally misleading. Thats good, game looks like it has some soul.
>Sushi Ben is...not on Steam I'm guessing?
It still says on all major platforms on the Itch.io page and that one was updated like 20 hours ago.
guess SteamVR is not a major platform
They mention it as TBA on Twitter but the PCVR release as 2023.
Okay, thanks. I was going by looking for a Steam page but maybe one hasn't shown up yet. As the other anon at least the itch page is a good sign. The amount of shit that is limited to Quest or whatever makes one paranoid and frustrated.
not really, just gonna play Ancient Dungeon VR again and wait for the full release
chronohunter
i expect you to die 2
....uh.... that' about it.
2/10 what a bad day to be a PCVR user
I expect you to die 1, 2, and 3 are all listed on PC (Steam) and at least 1 and 2 are pretty great if you like the genre and gametype. For those who haven't played, its sort of a retro James Bond "is strapped to the table and has to figure out how to stop the laser from bisecting his junk" style puzzle spycraft game. In one level you have to escape from a car in the hold of an aircraft, in the next you have to make and steal a proper chemical compound without setting off booby traps and blowing up yourself etc.
Pffft. Just like that Synapse? Disappointing if true but..
I hope they consider Steam to be a major VR platform.
Ah, I'll haver to look into that not sure.
Consortium isn't a "space" narrative, but the first game is set primarily in something akin to a "UN police/intelligence force in a giant 747" and you're dealing with an international incident or two. It did pretty well for how small it was and was noteworthy for the amount of choice the player had a decade ago (you can tell someone you're a person from another universe inhabiting the guy's head you control and, if you keep at it, it goes about as well as you'd expect. You can spend the whole game strapped to table or in a brig while shit happens around you etc) and its sequel was approved (The Tower) and even successfully crowdfunded. However, it got held up in development with tech for how they wanted to expand from there, so they went back and iterated on the original game, eventually realizing they need to change some engines and vastly overhaul stuff for the new title and a good way to test that was the old ones, to get around the clunky shit and be sure it would work going forward.
https://www.idgi1.ca/
missed my picture. Consortium was the game I remember, I remember a fire or something near the end it's been a while though.
Steam is a major games platform therefore meaning that VR is not games
Yeah, that's one of the outcomes and it is episodic (it was meant to be back during the era when Half Life and everything was going episodic). Pic related shows a test build of The Tower, the next chapter which is still is development (and will be picked up again after they sort out the remaster/VR to an official release).
Let me go see if I can find how you get auth'd to the VR one. I don't remember how it happened.
Maybe cause you bought the Tower?
Maybe, but the Tower was ages ago before the VR overhaul came out, at least originally. The devs are usually pretty responsive, I'll ask and see if I can get back in time but in case I don't you may want to try messaging them on Discord (there are other ways but that may be fastest) and asking about it? If they see you have the standard Remastered test build and the original game, they may point you to unlocking the VR test, especially if you're asking and have OpenXR capable hardware Just keep in mind its very playable and there's even new features (ie a more extensive battle trainer within the game world's VR, one you get your gear) but its still not done and there are bugs and stuff.
Yeah I have an Index and played around with other programs.
ah fair, I'm redownloading both not to run them to see if anything happens or is added.
discronia
retropolis
arashi
low fi
happy funland
expect you to die
sushi ben, grimlord, liminal space
Arashi castle of Sin's trailer was trying SO HARD to pretend to be VR controlled in the trailer but it was so obviously just a cutscene
Was there literally anything good?
and how is the new pavlov update?
So far the games that caught my eye:
>STRIDE: Fates (Assuming it comes to PCVR)
>Toss!
>We Are One
>Gazzlers
>Throwback
>Paint The Town Red VR
>Sushi Ben
>The Burst
>Crossfire: Sierra Squad
>Retropolis 2
>Dungeon Full Dive
>Chrono Hunter
>LOW-FI
>Liminal Phase
>Arashi: Castles of Sin - Final Cut (This one didn't show off any actual gameplay though so skeptical of this one)
Top 3:
1: Sushi Ben (Holy SOVL)
2: The Burst (Has good movement tech and I like the interactive environmental kills)
3: Crossfire Sierra Squad (Looks generally polished overall as a shooter even if it has the most generic mobile phone game-ass name I've ever heard, and I like the premise of "realism mode", will make for a good second playthrough)
The developers of one of the games shown Liked my tweet about the UploadVR showcase being disappointing
>admitting to using Twitter
It's the only 'social media' I use. I post once in a blue moon. I mostly just use it to browse shit in bed, since I can't post on here without going on web browser which is shit.
>since I can't post on here without going on web browser which is shit
There are Ganker mobile apps.
I don't know what the common ones are now, but I know there ARE some. Clover/Kuroba's a name I've heard in the past.
They don't let you post due to the Captcha shit.
If you want open source, Android friendly, and not shit, KurobaEX is the way to go. Yes, it captcha supporting, Pass supporting, and even has several captchas and solver options if you want.
>KurobaEX
I THINK I tried it, I'll give it another look later. I tried like 5 one night and just couldn't be bothered after none worked.
Okay, just to let you know there are a lot of older versions and forks that are no longer updated, don't support captcha etc. Original Clover, BlueClover, Kuroba, KurobaDev etc.. all I think are outdated now basically with KurobaEX being one of the few that is still updated and feature heavy. Its also available on FDroid even in the standard repos, or github.
>Sushi Ben
This might be genuinely the most SOUL i've seen in a VR game.
Honestly i want this game as a normal title and not VR.
wiped my HDD recently (FRICK samsung nvme drives and their bastard tech support)
tell me anything i'm missing
vrchat is cancer, i've never been so disgusted by people and i'm a turbodegenerate pedophile/zoophile
I don't see Demeo, Cards & Tankards, The Light Brigade, Pistol Whip, Ultrawings 1 & 2, WAR DUST, Breachers, BallisticNG, Vertigo Remastered, Vertigo 2, Zenith MMO, In Death, Into The Radius, Eternal Starlight, HORIZON VANGUARD, Hot Dogs Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, COMPOUND, Climbey, or Catch & Release here.
I need to get back onto Zenith MMO, I bought it on release played it for a fair bit and just never bothered turning it on again, I didn't hate it just kinda couldn't be bothered.
I feel the same way. I actually had a really good time with the game, collecting the tears to get more stamina is actually one of the best platforming challenges I've ever seen in VR.
I would cook and watch some videos on overlay
>HOLY SHIT WE ENDER'S GAME NOW
Also check out BattleGroupVR then.
>I've never seen much a point in sandbox games
Hot dogs has a roguelite mode called Take & Hold otherwise I wouldn't recommend it, cause I hate "LOOK, YOU CAN DO SANDBOXY THINGS IN VR" too.
Meant for
but yeah Zenith MMO's cooking minigame is cozy.
>Demeo, Cards & Tankards
i don't like really like multiplayer VR unless I can get my irl friends to play with me (way too many children in voice chat)
I make an exception for after the fall cause it doesn't require much coordination (I only got Onward cause my brother wanted to play it, fun against bots tho)
>the light brigade
this looks awesome, will grab deal
>pistol whip
this looked neat but I never saw much point in getting it when I already have beat saber
>ultrawings
looks neat, i'll check it out
>WAR DUST, Breachers
eh, more multiplayer shooters
>BallisticNG
I should get this even for the non-vr version
>vertigo remastered/2
looks neat
>zenith
>VR MMO
nah
>In Death
looks neat, reminds me of Legendary Tales
>Into the Radius
I've heard this is great but I've tried repeatedly to get into the STALKER games and they never really clicked for me, plus i don't usually like survival games very much
>Eternal Starlight
HOLY SHIT WE ENDER'S GAME NOW
will definitely look into this more
>HORIZON VANGUARD
i'm digging the time crisis aesthetic, looks like fun
>hot dogs horseshoes and hand grenades
I've never seen much a point in sandbox games
>COMPOUND
i'll probably pick this up just the novelty of having a VR boomer shooter
>Climbey
probably fun but would 100% result in a hole in my ceiling. I'll check it out after I get a new place lol.
>catch and release
>vr fishing
again, i will buy this just for the novelty lol
i bet my parents would love it (my mom thought Kayak VR was REALLY cool, then got horrifically motion sick a few minutes later lol)
did they show anything interesting
