They made the giant robots as grounded as possible though. The actual "problem" with it is that it has too much slice of life while people read Science Adventure for conspiracy stuff. Same with the Chaos games going all Shounen in the end.
I wanted a bad ending where her mind gets overwritten by Kurisu's, but they don't even let us have that and doesn't matter the choice you make Kurisu's memories are erased from her head...

Nobody even cares about who those two other girls are beside Kurisu. That should tell you all you need to know.
Metroid also has one immaculate game while every other entry in the series ranges from mid to trash.
People like the original Metroid games and Metroid Prime, it's not comparable. People even liked Metroid Dread and that one was recent.
You can say the same about Sci;Adv, the series has it's fans of course.

The only "loser" in the setting is Rintaro, and he really isn't, because he adopted his entire chuuni persona for a person he loves. Imagine being this moronic.
His definition of loser changed magically to 'I don't like them', because objectively none of the characters in the game are 'losers'. Not even Rintarou, who can fricking afford to rent a frick around building away from his home, gets good enough grades to get into a top university in some timelines, and in the main timeline is smart enough to go to Viktor Chondria which is supposed to be analogous to MIT.

Only the games that NitroPlus worked with them were good (Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate). You could feel that Robotics;Notes had a significantly different feel than the previous games, since NitroPlus wasn't involved.

I can't ever justify paying 50 quid for a vn. I don't know what they're trying to achieve with this crazy pricing.
In Japan they price VNs high because they're niche and people buy them so I don't know if they're carrying over that expectation here (although it would be like 100-120 here boxed) but yeah, like I said I love the series but I'm pirating for now and will toss them a few bucks on sale later so I can have it in my library. Especially when I know it'll be like 15-20 hours tops.
SquareEnix of all people got it right with Paranormasight; pricing it for 20 bucks with a launch discount made me pull the trigger much easier.
Steam games can have long tails, but it should start at a decent price point to build word of mouth. There's definitely a market there even with the industry pared down as it is.
Chaos;Head is kino, and I'm tried of pretending its not. Takumi is literally me but less schizo.
I haven't had a chance to read Noah yet, but the original had a lot of cool ideas but failed to stick the landing on most of them.

Steins gate 0 was such a good idea it should have written itself. How did they frick up the execution so hard. This character is such a disaster I think she only exists to trick people into thinking there's some kind of alternate timeline kurisu running around. Maho and that one scene with real kurisu are the only redeemable part of it.
