I was good at CS many years ago before they changed the ranking system and have been good at other FPS games since then. I want to install this game to play with a friend but am concerned about the incredibly invasive anticheat. The scripts above seem to be the only solution I've found short of buying a separate computer just to run the game.

Valorant is a fun game but I need to boot windows just to play it and if I play one I end up playing 5-10 and half of my day dissapears. After so much time wasted it's better to just do something else.
The game has a couple of problems for me. People are rarely co-ordinating utility usage and Reyna is a stupid fricking agent that should be removed from the game.

DM is full of silver and gold that give you plenty of time to adjust your aim before they start shooting at you, just a couple of tenths of a second make a huge difference in accuracy.

At the beginning you'll get shitstomped and hate it, but give it time and try to improve, you'll absolutely love it when u get better and start popping heads.
Just remember, this is a tactical shooter, so take ur time to place ur shots, aim for the head and try to find some friends (not necessarily irl friends). Playing alone gets boring quickly.

set ur DPI to 800, most important thing is that u find a decent sensitivity to start with. Youtube "sensitivity valorant".

Stop wasting your knife, for one. Stop wasting your flash also. Try using your knife when you're not sure if enemies are repositioning, not at the start of a round. Use your flash to open fights for your duelists instead of using it like "if I flash someone I'll swing ig"

More accurate. Lots of c**ts complain about "muh first shot accuracy."
Vandal vs Phantom generally comes down to what you're more comfortable with. IE the ranges you like taking fights at, if you spray or burst more, or if you lose fights having done 140 damage.
Vandal is superior for long range, tapping/bursting, and it will always kill in 4 body shots. Every body shot does 40 damage regardless of range.
Phantom is superior in close quarters, is better at spraying (especially through smokes where you won't have tracers giving away your position), but it only does 35 damage to the body on a target 15 yards or further away. Phantom is best in close quarters (under 15 yards) where the damage dropoff doesn't come into play. You can one shot headshot and your body shots will do 39 damage = 4 body shot kill, like the Vandal.
For these two, feel them out and you'll eventually prefer one. It doesn't matter that much.
The Guardian is not on the same tier as the Vandal or Phantom, but it's a great budget weapon that has the best first shot accuracy in the game. If you can hit heads, it's not a bad choice. However, the Sheriff is basically the same weapon except it can't one shot headshot after a certain range and the inaccuracy bloom is much greater after a shot or two.

What made Valorant successful on Twitch in comparison to OW?
More planning is required to win consistently
IDK about twitch but personally I don't like ow's gameplay.. It's like you're constantly unloading clip after clip, and when you get to the end of rounds it feels like the enemy team is nonstop respawning. I like how in Val the skirmishes are all over pretty fast but there's still plenty of ways to play it smart and employ different strategies. I guess OW just feels too bullet spongey for me.

What does viper smell like?
duelists are the the only role that get the most fun out of everything. They can fly, teleport, be invisible, heal, respawn, shoot bazookas, rape, torture, go back in time. They are also the only characters that can play on high elevations and a lot of other stuff, while you are stuck inventing bullshit angles to compensate for that lack of freedom. every role in the game is made to support duelists, you cannot do shit on your own. (was in the top 2000 players playing smokes a year ago, didn't touch the game since). + maps are absolute dogshit garbage, + no local servers + no custom gamemodes + no community based content + game is as deep as my butthole.

The team chemistry was destroyed that moment. Boaster, the quirky "high IQ" IGL couldnt trust his teammate and just stick it till half. The mental was gone there. Even against FPX, they got beaten well on all maps and had like 9-3 halves to FPX, they just choked hard on map 2 but the trust they have in suygetsu and vice versa shined while FNC kept getting caught in untradeable kills.
I always felt something off about boaster but that enzo clutch when he 2v1s and looks back to find boaster not even sticking it lost whatever little respect or impression I had of him.
And the most bitter part is how boasted kept the narrative of being the lifesaver for the team just because of that one round with astra awp, meanwhile enzo was sweating buckets to clutch 1v3-1v2-1v1 throughout the entirety of OT and not even a word was said. He just kept on bragging about his insane astra round (which was a massive throw because you can't play full util if you buy awp, meaning the team hadn't enough smokes) and not a single word about how he didn't trust enzo to hold 1 guy in garden so he failed to stick it

I would enjoy it more if the movement didn't feel so sluggish. CS feels like precise ice skating while valo feels like my character is walking through mud with a tire strapped to them.
Same reason why I gave league and a few other mobas a fair (year long) shot before dropping them, moba movement feels like dogshit. I love fast and free movement in games and anything riot makes is the anti-thesis of that.

One thing i do to check my positioning is to see if I can trade the kill of my teammates? If some guy swings and kills my teammates through a corner and I cant trade him by moving a couple steps. Im in the wrong position. Try to keep checking this often. Over time your position will automatically improve and you'll be on autopilot mode. Hth

Wall of text ahead with my experience in case it helps (no one asked)
For me it was based on very different things. When I started the game I was a genuine bronze (even down ranked to bronze 1 once I recall), now I'm ascendant 2 (very bad days recently so you could say asc1). At first for me it was about info, so I liked sova immediately just like you. Then when I acquired enough game sense and no longer needed immediate info (e.g. to check the flank timing with the arrow at random times), I took a liking to sentinels and specifically killjoy. I ranked up with an instalock killjoy only on all maps from ~silver to diamond with no voice chat and as I was doing that I learned a ton of different concepts and every time I learned something new I was completely re-evaluating the KJ's kit. For example at some point I learned of the importance of space control (closer to diamond) and instead of going for one-off setups I started tripping mid or a side lane (like dish on fracture) or another site (like B on heaven) because I realized the importance of it. Also playing for one-off setups which I've been doing throughout gold-plat helped me learn about timings and common site entires (e.g. jett dashing boathouse on ascent B, which I later started pre-mollying instead of committing 2 mollies to the lane). Turret helped me understand how cross firing works, especially when there was room for experimentation, like eco rounds. Can't count the number of kills but it's in the hundreds that I got from setting the turret behind bricks on A long on heaven and playing shorty in main for like 1-2 cheap kills but the investment is like 200 gold for the shorty and the turret is free.
After diamond I started changing my mains on every map and I found a character that I like to play on each map. Right now I'm playing smokes, sentinels, initiators, even flashes, depending on the map. And I have 2 mains per map usually so that solo queueing is easier.
Hunt Showdown. Actually difficult, not for valorant kids
I seem to play best as Brimstone because his abilities are so simple I just focus on winning gunfights and positioning more. Smokes are a good way to play mind games with the enemy team at the start too. Only downside is I get a lot of gross furgays calling me daddy.
Sometimes my arm feels very heavy on the table and can't track the enemy fast enough, like I'm lagging behind them because my hand has a limited range of motion. Did anyone experience this?

You can get like 20 kills per game from kj setups that you can find on youtube all the way to diamond (well now ascendant). If you want the majority of your kit being knowledge based rather than skill based (like flashes or movement abilities) then you can just watch setups on youtube and play kj.

I solo queued from bronze to ascendant. I literally don't have a single friend online so I can't comment on that. I play all games alone.
One thing I'll suggest is turning off voice chat until you're at least around plat or diamond. Low level players feed more misinformation than they do useful info, and also at low ranks you can't yet grow reliant on comms for your game sense, you need to develop your own first.

All flashes are dodgable and expectable in 99.9% cases even if you're radiant. If you get flashes through viper wall while holding W and making a ton of noise or just not repositioning then you die to your own mistake, not to a flash being undodgable
But overall there's much less util than there is in csgo
Csgo has up to 10 flashes EVERY ROUND versus 2 (or 2.5 ish with sky) in valo. It has up to 5 smokes versus 2 (or 2.5 ish with brim and omen) in valo. It has up to 5 mollies versus 2 on average in valo

if the flash "sees" your character you still get that silly effect full screen, when if it's directly behind you, yeah it's short but it's still dumb as shit, it's better in CS where your screen gets brighter for a moment,
I agree with that but it only works that way in older cs versions, and I like that effect more too. However the csgo effect is literally seizure inducing because instead of just flashing a bit, it imprints your vision at the time the flash happened into that white effect, making it very confusing for a second.

I’m enjoying replication more than the actual game, it’s more fun when everyone is working with the same kit, and it gets fun results depending on which agents match up. I always vote for Sage or Killjoy in replication bc our team almost never loses with either agent

Why is Fade so popular in low elo? I feel like only Sage and Reyna are more common, and yet I don't think she ever makes a huge impact on the match.
Fade is a brand new agent? People are just distracted by the shiny new thing.
My question is why is Fade even in this game. The only reason she isn’t getting more hate is because Chamber hasn’t been taken out back and shot yet. Fade feels like an overwatch character. Her ability spam is the worst of all the agents and it’s not even close. All you have to do to play fade is hide behind a wall and throw your entire kit and ult around the corner. Overwatch tier b***h and also not even a good character design or personality and to make matters worse even her voice lines are the worst in the game. I hate this agent so much.

Her ult lasts way too fricking long and the prowlers should have 50 HP instead of 100. I'm kind of alright with her haunt since you can pop it instantly, but some of the spots she can throw it are bullshit. Like on Bind, good fricking luck shooting one of the 3-4 spots on A short where it will land on the roofs around you. I'll throw one of those lineups every round and unless they have 2-3 people watching all the spots they're going to get spotted. If it wasn't for being able to toss it into ridiculously high places, the haunt would probably fricking suck.
I agree her ult is way too damn long. Im sick of getting hit with her ult and then forced to sit in a corner for half an hour while fade spams the rest of her abilities at me and I try to avoid having a seizure. It takes a third of the time to capture an enemy as Killjoys lockdown yet the effect lasts almost as long, how is that even remotely balanced? Fades ult is almost as debilitating as KJs too considering how fricking loud and annoying it is. And unlike the lockdown, its so easy to use and requires no actual thought or game sense of any kind, that a moronic baby monkey could do it.
I suspect it's their answer to another cancer that is viper. If you think of it, literally all of her abilities counter everything-smoke of viper. People in immortal and above are already abusing the shit out of it on maps like breeze.
But I agree overall. And I think prowlers are the strongest of her kit because you can just "dog" for your entry while also being able to have one for info. The only saving grace of them not being utterly broken is that 1/3rd of the time they for some reason don't lock into tight corners

characters with location abilities are pretty useless with mid level players/opponents bc they play all the usual lineups and they’re easy af to avoid. I get located by a fade or sova maybe once a game if at all. just me?
Probably not just you, but most of the complaints are coming from high level players from what I gathered (and being one myself). There's 2 ways you play those at high levels: #1 is you scout an aggro push, like the standard arrow on A from attackers side on icebox that scouts early main push (though not entirely, some homie like chamber can push all the way to see elbow and then get a pick and tp back thx rito); and #2 is you reveal AS you enter the site or AS you retake the site, because in both of these situations you need info immediately and it can be pivotal for success, even if all the info you get is a sound cue of someone removing that arrow/eye with the phantom, that's more than enough
That's as far as the location abilities go. Both of these characters have very good util besides them though, and t b h sova is still favored on many maps because of the ult

I'm watching my friends play a game right now and I'm realizing that one of my friends relies almost entirely on baiting the team. He plays exclusively neon and runs onto site and hides in a corner then wide swings when someone on our team dies. He doesn't even watch any area, he just watches his teams silhouettes to see where they're shooting. I always wondered why this person never gives call outs and now I see it's because he's doing this every round on attack and probably something similar on defense too.

Have you played comp with him? This will lose you games in higher elo. Ideally, yes, someone should facilitate his initiations and kills in some way, but playing a duelist (especially Neon) means that your express purpose is moving around and winning fights for your team to be able to operate. Neon is versatile in her own right because her kit allows her to initiate entry, partially cover plant/defuse, or faux sentinel with walls and (very brief) stuns for easy frags.
No, I don't play competitive with my friends, I only solo queue. My friends just want to play to have fun which is why I'm hesitant to be the jackass that asks him to stop baiting and learn to play, but I'm still going to call him out next time I see him do it while we're in game.

Just play viper and do autistic shit with your walls, can definitely make enemies rage. Aiming wont be too important since most gunfights will be heavily in your favor or they won't be looking at you at all
don't use your abilities at all when you're first learning to play, just ignore them and focus on common sense gameplay. people put too much emphasis on the abilities and character class bullshit.
Sentinel balancing ideas
Sage's slow orb reworked into a ranged tripwire like Cypher's that triggers a slow when activated by an enemy (but it has a range)
KJ's swarm grenade is reworked into a smoke with the same mechanics as the swarm grenade. The turret can see through it.
Cypher's trip wire should be invisible like KJ's alarmbot and more difficult to destroy, but it needs to have a range.
Chamber.........................
1. teleport is taken away and replaced with a barrier utility like sage's wall. WTF was Riot thinking giving a sentinel essentially a dash?
2. The ult needs to be completely reworked into something that is defensive and helps out the team, like all of the other sentinels. How are you going to give a sentinel a weapon ult, are you fricking kidding me Riot?
3. His free gun should be replaced with an intel ability like cypher's camera.
4. Chamber's alarm bot is the only ability that doesn't need to be replaced with something completely different, but it still 100% needs to have a range.
Basically.... just make chamber a totally different character. lol

Cypher's trips already work the way you describe - they're only visible up close (in fact so close people always run into them with knife out), so you're only adding a range to them, which is a nerf
If you're not a complete idiot or a Neon main, you should never run into a cypher trip wire and if you happen to for some reason, it should be the easiest shit in the world to destroy. It needs a buff there, KJ's alarm bot is way trickier to kill. the range is a nerf, but it's deserved. why should any agent have a utility that can trigger itself across the entire map.
Sage's slow orb is trash as it is and all the other sentinels can gather intel except her.

It's a cheeky one-off thing you do to throw away angles, like the standard wall against the back wall of ascent's A main from the attacker's side to peek above dice and generally peek from an off angle as much as you can call it that

I am a Neon main, and I still manage to avoid running into fricking tripwires 60% of the time. The success rate is even higher if I internalize that they have a Cypher and I can only really rotate from my team's side of map.

I don't get how people talk about it being slower and boring when you waste most of your time doing nothing and walking around in fortnite.
