But numbers aside, I was there. And no one liked Source, and for that reason everyone was fine with GO, because it felt like an overall improvement.
CS2 does not feel that way. In fact, it has the same reaction from the public, as Source. Only that in this case, there is no way to stay in GO for a proper comparison.
The few past weeks the open beta was available, everyone I knew didn't quite like the change and went back to GO instead.

The entire problem is them removing csgo and forcing everyone to play CS2. The Russians and Brazilians are playing with toasters from 2011, of course they'll be pissed if they have to get a new PC. I really don't get why Valve felt the need to not make it a separate game.

While there is something to be said with regards to Valve relaunching CS:GO as CS2 with basically no gameplay changes.
CS2 was actually a migration to a new engine.
I don't know what the performance crying is about. I have a 970 and it ran fine with above 60 fps.

But my problem with the game is lack of content. They removed every other mode that aren't the most classic modes and deathmatch, and heavily reduced map pool gets quickly old.

I think rubikon isn't as finely tuned to CS2 yet so body launches are more common. But I'm not complaining. I adore fun stuff like that.
