I kind of hated how they had her almost parade forward at the end of the trailer, even though she didn't really do anything. Because it made it feel as if they figured that simply showing her would be some grand statement or something, which made it feel awkwardly political.
Which is a real shame because I like rivalries in games like this and as much as Ganker memes on shit I actually think she look rather attractive. I just hated how they chose to present her, which kind of corrodes my faith in the project in general. But I guess I'll have to wait and see more anyway.

After looking at all the comparisons in this thread, you really think it looks better than VP2? The game is ugly as sin, even for JRPG standards. This and Star Ocean look terrible, but this is really, really bad.
If you could quick swap between team members ala Genshin, where you have your carry on the field 70% of the time and a bunch of character who are using for their skills and big hits, then I'd be cool with this. Then it would feel like a next gen VP with the chain combos between team members.
You only see other party members once or twice in the trailer, and they seem to be summons, which is pretty boring. Star Ocean at least looked OK gameplay wise, this looks and prob plays bad.

I know SE has different studios doing different things, but frick, phone a friend for a better graphics engine. They hit 60fps and called it a day. Why this is getting a PS5 release is fricking beyond me, unless the PS4 ver. is super unoptimized.

Ok I have to ask. I want to love VP2 but I just don't get it. The game is incredibly easy to me and in every fight I just mash all the buttons over and over and win every fight. This has worked for literal hours of gameplay.
