One of my favourite games, even though its obviously flawed/broken. Will never forget how I found a complete copy at some bargain bin in the video-rental store for pennies. Really like Dark Ages setting.
yeah, ancient prague was far and away the best part. would have loved to have gotten a vampire game set in the 16th century, or whatever. sadly, all vampire games have to be modern-day, these days.

first and only playthrough I did of this game I was a nosferatu and didn't see any of the world whatsoever because that was again vampire code or some shit

look dude all I remember was a vampire game, played the goblin looking race, spec'd into stealth, regretted it at the snake vampire fight, and eating a frickton of rats
Is this game hard to run on modern hardware? i have some vague memory of hearing something like that i thought. If not i might get it ive been seeing it around recently.
If you're talking about vtmr, then you just need the widescreen fix
If you're talking about vtmb, then the GoG version comes with the current version of the unofficial patch that makes it work on modern computers

I liked it a lot when it came out and about four years ago decided to play it again for the first time since release. This world has addled my brain to the point I couldn't do it. Too many nitpicks. Still a neat game though and I would rec it to someone depending on what they were into.

It's pretty great but the constant dungeon crawling stops me from ever wanting to replay it.
I didnt do this because I wanted to get the "full experience" but you can and probably should just celerity to each final stage door to progress when it gets too tiring.

Same, and agree. Still mad i never got anyone to play the multiplayer DM mode with.
i enjoyed it a lot, the period setting is cool and the characters were good. gameplay kinda dragged but those + the general aesthetic were enough to keep me going. really i just like period wod/vampire stuff in general, feels like a very untapped part of the setting
I used to play on multiplayer servers as a werewolf using the WoD mod. It was pretty fun. Could have been as big as NwN's persistant worlds if the game had been marketed properly.

It did everything NwN did two years before that game came out. Dedicated servers, fan campaigns, GM mode, mod tools. The game was just dumped. Only a handful of people ever played the multiplayer.

Remember playing this game AGES ago as a kid and remember enjoying it though only played for an hour. Decided to buy this on steam and the starter dungeon is so damn dark, can't see anything. Wish I could control the camera with Q and E

i think it's fantastic. but then again, i'm so desperate for a good new vampire game that i'm in suck-hobo-dick-for-crack mode, that's how desperate i am for a new vampire game. i even bought fricking vampyr with real money and actually played it all the way through, as well. all i know is, the new vampire game better goddamn deliver or i swear to fricking god i'll exhale through my nose very violently.
