what do you modgays consider essential? I wanna know if I missed any HUGE difference since all what I see with mods are UI / graphics changes

current graphics are kinda fine, the thing with mods is that it makes the game so soulless

Stop recommending CBBE, its obsolete. The author retired and there is just one autistic troony back porting the new features from BHUNP to CBBE 3BA.

get some sort of perk mod, can't go wrong with ordinator but some people don't like it. i like SPERG but it ups your powerlevel a fair bit
get some combat mod, i like wildcat and combat gameplay overhaul, those aren't far from vanilla
look through the mods of guy who made ordinator and wildcat, enai something. they're all lightweight, integrate with eachother and don't cause many conflicts. i like the vampire mod, apocalypse spells and religion
look around for any other mods that sound fun and check the comment sections on nexus to make sure they aren't broken

use mod organizer 2 to mod the game

more dialogue options and discussions that matters, also hard enemies to deal with.. maybe some cool spells and alchemy works, and only if there's a way to make thief build more hard/fun

                >more dialogue options and discussions that matters
Since AI-generated voices are such a recent novelty, it will be some time until we have game-changing mods related to dialogue. Despite this, there are some good ones:

There's also Talkative Dragons, which is a nice addon for a dull enemy:

                And the quest expansion mods:

That's the thing, anon. In Skyrim modding, you either are all in or not at all. If you don't want to improve combat, commerce, animations, balance, perks, variety, atmosphere, etc., just stick to UI and graphics

They are wrong. Those mods just add things, they don't improve the essence of the game. Example of what mods do:
        - perk overhauls that nerf stealth archers but introduce other overpowered BS, like time-warping dual-wielding leather magic immune speed slicer
        - all dragons in the game are replaced with Thomas the Tank Engine
        - saggy boobs and horse penises
        - complete areas with new quests that are... the same bethslop as in the original game
        - mod that adds survival, hunger and forestcraft into the game - you have do drink, pee, shit and cover yourself in fur or else you fricking die - it's just padding and forces you to wait or play like a pussy
        - mod that plays sleeping animations when you go to bed or wake up... yep, it forces you to wait longer, nothing else
        - mod that adds sex: you need to choose an extra dialog option - it has ZERO effect on gameplay, it just forces your character and NPC to plap your bodies against each other
        - mod that adds OC DONUT STEEL characters, who are le quirky and voiced with $2 microphone
        - mod that adds japanese katanas folded over 10000 times

If you want to keep it as close to the "vanilla spirit" as possible,
    >harvest overhaul
    >skyui
    >quickloot
    >no enemy killmoves (stupid fricking mechanic I could've dodged it 90% of the time)
    >That one mod that lets you see faces through helmets
    >Individualized shout cooldowns

I don't really like most of the graphics, character, or city overhauls because they always make your shit look like a generic high fantasy MMO instead of keeping the rustic, Nordic theme.

You're making this mistake of thinking it's a story heavy RPG. First and foremost it's a dungeon crawler, with RPG elements. That's what Bethesda games have always been, and everything is all about getting you into a dungeon. If you're expecting well written characters, or strong thrilling stories, you'll be disappointed every time.

    >what do you modgays consider essential? I wanna know if I missed any HUGE difference since all what I see with mods are UI / graphics changes
i don't use mods too much, if I did bother replaying Skyrim, I'd use mods that

    fix/upgrade the UI
give all containers better UI for easy sorting
bug/glitch fix mod with NO unofficial patch, unnecessary changes, frickery
re-add the magic damage system from morrowind/all previous TES games
    increase base magicka regen
require power attacks to require stamina the same way spells require the full magicka cost to be used
limit enemies level scaling, give most enemies set levels and stats
make unique items/daedric artifacts their maximum scaled version because frick level scaling loot and frick weak unique items
NO npc face/skin changing mods, they're all garbage and make the characters look like shit. ruins TES immersion.
    no killmoves/killcams
    shout cooldown fix
