I want to love it but it didnt do much in snap 2 where mos of the pokemon shine. Regardless its overhated
It's far from the worst designed pokemon. Would I call it GOOD? Absolutely not, but when things like Hitmonchan, Throh, Incineroar, Enamorus, and half of all the Mega Evolutions exist, Vanilluxe is fine in comparison.

I think Megas are pretty hit-or-miss but the only one I remember being actively bad was razorblade addict Sharpedo.
Though I guess that would require me to remember Aerodactyl even existed, let alone remember it had a Mega.
Vanilluxe is easily better than every mega except for the 'zards and Blaziken. Maybe Mewtwo Y. Not that it's good, but being a 4/10 design puts you above a good 40% of Pokemon.

Before Gen 9 rolled in, I would've said this is the single ugliest Pokemon in the franchise. Gen 9 is so bad that there's probably multiple Pokemon giving it competition, but still, what the frick were they thinking.

yep, most forced hate of anything in this series LITERALLY ever. cute, fits in fine with other pokémon aesthetically, totally inspired icicles + ice cream design - because yeah, you know what, icicles DO kind of look like ice cream cones. it's great, i only wish it wasn't so weak.

Swap its Attack and Speed and Vanilluxe is suddenly decent. Give it Hydro Pump/Surf/Chilling Water on top of that and it could wind up in UU and maybe be a niche pick in VGC.

Vanilluxe isn't even in the top 75 ugliest Pokemon ever. It might fit into the top 100 though. I thought about giving Enamorus her own tier at the very bottom, but it just didn't feel right and I didn't want to bump the other ugly mugs. I do think Enamorus is revolting, however

People hate it for the same reason people hate Garbodor. They’re both asymmetrical. Notice how many of the haters bring up the tube? Coincidentally the same people who hate Vanilluxe and Garbodor also hate Digimon which is now for its asymmetrical designs like Metal Greymon and Andromon.
Interestingly hatred for asymmetry is heavily associated with the Autism Spectrum.
