tagging is more only annoying in this game because most of the time you do the "go over there command" instead of the enemy skull tag. and you can spam the same tag multiple times. and your tag stays on the screen if not removed.
the thunder hammer is the 2h hammer from VT I believe, without the charge up special ability. the chainsword felt like the 1h sword. the force staff was the conflag staff. idk about the ogryn knife

The environments are actually pretty cool. People just don't look at them because it means looking up and away from where the action is. Granted, the combat arenas themselves don't look that exciting most of the time.
Anyone who was in the tech test that can explain the extent of copy pasted stuff? Is it just a few things here and there or majority of weapons and perks flatly copies over?
I played the network/tech test. I have 1700 hours in Vermintide 2 (pls no bully)
Only one melee and ranged weapon was in the game per class (8 weapons in total)
The only ones that were blatantly copy pasted were the Zealot's Thunder Hammer, which had the moveset of the great hammer in V2, and the Psyker staff, which functioned almost identically to the Conflagration staff. The thunder hammer has a special that charges up the thundah, so you can ride the lightning on one target, very satisfying. The Psyker staff was a bit different in terms of charge time/aoe and how it crunched enemies compared to conflag.
Everything else was different enough to call it a new weapon. People have been trying to call all the weapons by a similar vermintide weapon, but the movesets and feeling were vastly different. That said, there are only so many ways to swing a melee weapon, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few holdovers from V1/V2. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I suppose.
Happy to answer questions about the game. Overall experience was a lot of fun, I know I'll invest a lot of time into the game as it has the same basic gameplay as V2, which is the best first person melee combat gameplay in existence, bar none. As I get older, I am tending to stick to fewer games and for more hours, and the gameplay and variety of weapons/builds has allowed me to get extreme mileage out of Vermintide 1 and 2.
Banter ranged from alright to hilarious. There are 6 voices to choose from per class (but 3 for ogryn), so the variety should be good. I really liked one of the soldier type Veteran ones, a crazy european Psyker, a "thee and thou" old stlye talking Zealot lady, and pretty much all of the Brogryn. The banter was limited because all the characters were low level and there were only 3 missions available, but I'm confident it will be good. That said, I don't think there is any competiting with V2 banter, it's just godly.

If you're saying it's mainly a shooter, you're wrong, at least from the taste we got in the technical test. Not even the psyker can primarily rely on ranged weapons, there's just not enough penetration or ammo.
We can't know until talents, but yeah the immediate idea is the hordes will become too dense for you to range-only. I could see 60/40 or 70/30 range-melee split being fine.
I don't care if they reuse assets. I am expecting it. I just don't want them to reuse the shit weapons like the greatsword
