Joined the one server I kept coming back to. I made over a hundred friends off of that server alone and regularly spoke with many of them casually on steam. I'd spend at least 10 hours a day playing that game. My biweekly game hours on steam could easily get up to 200 genuine hours. After a while I kept seeing less and less of those friends playing on the server. They lost their interest and moved on with their lives. I got busier as and had to give the game up. Months later I tried the server again, but I recognized nobody there. I stayed for a few weeks to hopefully see someone I knew, but no. Everyone there was some diehard compgay that would target the shit out of anyone that didn't follow the meta. This despite the gamemode overall being fairly casual. The server was the biggest reason I played and it turned into a dumpsterfire.
