gamescom?
What'd you get? I went there with a friend and we both got 10+ t-shirts.
Couldn't play Stalker or GTFO which was unfortunate but most games I saw and played were quite impressive. The merch was top-tier. Really looking forward to flexing in those t-shirts.
which one was it? To be fair gaming has become such a normie hobby these past 5+ years that the smelly people finally learned that shower and cologne won't kill you.
my city's anime cons was full of chubby b***hes cosplaying anime characters. Didn't phase me since I like fatties but god damn I never thought weeaboo women were so fricking fat

why subject yourself to fighting game tournaments? From what I've heard, they are genuinely awful. No merch, no free shit. Just tryhards that're afraid of bathing
Can’t pull it out cause it’s in the bottom of a hamper. But Imagine this shirt but the symbols are white and there’s a small EVO logo under the collar in the back. It’s one of those thick style Gildan shirts.
Sometimes I go to anime/gaming cons with my Girlfriend and take psychedelics (usually Acid or 2C-B) while I'm there and it's always a 10/10 day, it's the perfect environment for tripping.
I've visited a few, but I prefer anime cons more. It's cool to see and try out all the indie games you'll never buy though.
There was a Disco Elysium booth at the last one I went to and fans plastered the wall with Kim messages.

well that pic was MCM Expo, same venue though

Maybe. it's not huge but it's interesting to see what games people are working on. A lot of universities come with student projects to show off. America has much bigger conventions but obviously flights in the EU <> UK are pretty cheap. I'd say go for a day and spend a few more checking out London.

Gamescom is like 10x bigger. EGX is basically a mini version.

understandable. From what I gather it doesn't seem to be an event catered to international visitors. I've seen plenty of UK and general EU people at gamescom. Most of them pretty cool.
And I do agree that Gamescom is huge. I was there for 4 days and it still feels like I missed out on so much. Frick staying in line, though. Could never understand the people willing to spend half a day sabnding in line just to get to play 15 minutes of a game that'll come out in 2 months.

The only things that had queues were Sonic Frontiers, SF6, and this F1 simulator. If you want to play lots of indies and give feedback directly to devs, EGX is great.
Can’t pull it out cause it’s in the bottom of a hamper. But Imagine this shirt but the symbols are white and there’s a small EVO logo under the collar in the back. It’s one of those thick style Gildan shirts.
very nice. That shirt would draw a lot of attention to your chest so you better be buff as frick my man
Would recommend, I go to the EU Final Fantasy 14 festival/ convention. It's a lot of fun, and the girls who cosplay as the characters are always hot as frick.
>It's a lot of fun, and the girls who cosplay as the characters are always hot as frick.
understandable. My city has a cosplay that's anime themed but there are a LOT of vidya cosplayers as well. the 2bs are very cute.
>especially Honkai and Genshin.
I don't know what's so good about those games but I swear at this year's gamescom every second visitor had an anime-themed bag full of consoomer anime goods. And the lines to play weeb shit were absolutely huge. I just don't get it, man.
I understand liking a game series but why the frick would you waste half a day to stay in line so you can get to play a f2p game that's gonna release in a few months anyway?
Beta testing? Most people I'd seen there were getting merchandising gear and free in-game currency. At least the cosplayers were neat.
Also Star Rail sucks.
>Most people I'd seen there were getting merchandising gear and free in-game currency
the gear I understand since free shit is nice, but from what I have seen there were none at the event I attended a few days ago. Just some inflatable toys and maybe a poster.
>there must be reason she's wearing that mask. I'm willing to bet that her thighs don't look that impressive once she takes off the high heels.
Yeah, but it's hotter with the suit on anyway.
I go to EVO yearly. It's part convention I guess? I want to frick that Kimberly cosplayer so badly. I got to talk with her for a bit since I cosplay too. FRICK she's cute
Yeh
PAX West every year
PAX East some years
Good time, every time. Get to cosplay, meet some cosplayer friends, play some neat games I may or may not buy, and in general have a great weekend disconnected from life.
I go to momocon and awa pretty much every year. They're general anime/Weeb cons but they always have fighting game tournaments and other vidya stuff. I saw Pokchop at the momocon tekken 7 tournament this year, nice dude, he let me borrow his controller cable cause I forgot mine.
I've never attended a single convention of any kind in my entire life. I'll never understand the desire. I've also never taken part in the buying side of a real life black friday sale, have been on the selling, which sucked ass, and I've watched the frenzy a fair few times because it's cheap entertainment.
>I've never attended a single convention of any kind in my entire life.
why not? stop being such a doomer and go see what they're like. Life is what you make it. Szure, these conventions suck ass if you're an antisocial NEET but they can be enjoyable if you like the subject matter and there's also lots of free merch as well.
I used to go to pax east a long time ago, partially as an excuse to meet up with online friends. but eventually they stopped going and since I live on the west coast it was always really expensive so I stopped going as well. looks like the last time I went was 7 years ago. I always had a good time, it was fun checking out all the indie games and getting cool merch. I don't really have any interest in anime cons because they don't really offer me anything I couldn't just get at home anyway

I would make a list of all the vendors I thought had games that looked cool and I wanted to check out, so that way I had a basic plan of what I wanted to see and could adapt from there. don't bother with demos for big ass AAA games, it's not worth wasting hours standing in line just to play whatever big dumb shooter is coming out in 2 months. I also never found panels to really be worth it either. just wander around the big expo hall and check out all the cool booths. also if they've still got the guy who sets up a whole room for 16 player steel battalion games, that's definitely worth checking out because realistically you'll never be able to do that anywhere else. as for friends I couldn't really say since I was already going to the con with a group of friends, so I wasn't really interacting much with strangers. also if you think you're going to be buying a bunch of shit, I highly recommend getting a massive bag. there were booths that would give you bags the size of a toddler if you spent over $X and it was super handy being able to shove literally everything in there
>There seems to be an overwhelming amount of stuff to do, I'm sure I'll have a fun time
not that anon but depending on the size of the con, you really gotta prioritize what you plan on doing.
do you wanna stay in line for 3 hours in order to play a game you've been waiting 10 years for or do you wanna queue up for 15 minutes to get a free t-shirt? the merch can be really worth it, though.
yeah there's always tons to do. even with my list of "things I want to check out" I never actually managed to complete itl during any con. part of that was because of doing other things with friends, but it's also just because it's a big ass con and a lot of unexpected stuff can pop up that you want to check out, like when I found this hipster dude showing off these little cardboard pinball machines to try out
I recently attended Fan Expo Toronto and fist bumped a Bridget cosplayer. Too chickenshit to ask them or any other (CD) cosplayer, but conventions aren't an opportune time to ask people out.
Nope. Never been to one. I don't think I'd enjoy them anyways as there's nothing to do except talk to people (no thanks) and play games that are on display (hard for me to get immersed in a game when I'm surrounded by talking people)

I go to the one you posted a pic of every year, have been since 2011. It's fun with friends, you can just walk around looking at vidya stuff with bros all weekend. There are also cute cosplayers to stare at. I wouldn't recommend standing in line to play games in the expo hall.

I've seen photos from your (Finnish) weeb conventions and I'm not surprised.
90% of girls are obese, these creatures have to carry some sort of disease, lots of cute boys though.
I missed my chance to go to cons in the 00s and now I'm too old and I can't relate to all the cool kids since it's filled with regular people now since this stuff is popular and mainstream. I'm glad people enjoy them, but they're not for me.

no such thing. If you look presentable, you can really go anywhere. I've seen 50 year olds cosplaying old-ish characters and they looked fricking sick.
You're getting older every day, go before you get any older

I bought that once, I don't really remember the smell of it but I use blue stratos now. I was actually thinking of looking for a bottle last week.
used to when i got paid to staff them
not anymore because i lost interest in new stuff
nah i wear cologne regularly.
what kind of footwear do you need to wear in order to get such an awful infection?
idk, here is my other foot
nasty motherfricker, have you ever considered washing your damn feet?
Shoes with socks. The moron you are replying to probably was walking around in open toed sandals or some other fruity shit.
only to anime cons

>This year I went to EVO
why subject yourself to fighting game tournaments? From what I've heard, they are genuinely awful. No merch, no free shit. Just tryhards that're afraid of bathing
I got a free PS shirt that was pretty good. And a couple of thick lanyards.

post the shirt
lanyards are wack, to be fair. A shirt is much more useful.
Can’t pull it out cause it’s in the bottom of a hamper. But Imagine this shirt but the symbols are white and there’s a small EVO logo under the collar in the back. It’s one of those thick style Gildan shirts.
have a nice day.

That's the weeb plague, it's only found in Lahti
I went to Festigame in Chile once
It was really fun!
>south america
why would you willingly go there, anon?
Because i live there
how unfortunate. Are chileans into vidya and anime?
Very
We literally have a tv channel for it on cable
I've visited a few, but I prefer anime cons more. It's cool to see and try out all the indie games you'll never buy though.
There was a Disco Elysium booth at the last one I went to and fans plastered the wall with Kim messages.

which con was this?
EGX London 2022

>DE booth selling merch clothes of the detective and kim
>no Piss homosexual and Frick the World jackets
was genuinely sad
why would I pay money and spend time to be advertised to?
to get free merch and directly prove to the advertisers and developers that their product is dogshit
I can't attend anything because I have no money even though I'm 25 years old
ask your friends to pay for your ticket

I have been to some stuff it really depends, you can
Went to E3 a bunch but now its dead. I dont know any other ones in the area I can drive to.

Bro. He was like 18 I'm a 32 year old man.
And? He's legal. Plowing a guy and being plowed by a guy are two completely different things. You're a homosexual for not doing it.
Not him but that age difference is pretty creepy
Still legal. Ethics are already thrown out the window with weebshit involved. Your only concern at that point is legalities.
so? Boipussy offering itself to you isn't something to pass up and

Men don't expire like women do, 50yo men can look like 30yo characters.
I like old men myself, they're hot.
to add to this even if you cant pull off 30, there are some cool ass silver foxes in anime, senior guys get treated good lots of times
