Did you know that Rainbow Road N64 has always had rails? Yet most people remember falling off the course for some reason. What are some other examples of mandela effect in games?

    >most people remember falling off the course for some reason
because there's a famous shortcut where you can drive off the edge and skip most of the track

once again you're just remembering details incorrectly

Ah yes because EVERYONE did that super advanced shortcut

It's not as advanced as it looks because Mario 64 carpet ride level had already trained us for the possibility of jumping to something far below you and far away

Why you getting all defensive when someone just pointed out something.

Oh you think you are so smart?

        Then watch out.

I can mindrape you with other mandela effects that will make you shit your pants.

I can shake your perception of reality and make you feel like you are going insane.

        Want an example?

Remember that famous line the guard say in Skyrim? "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee"?

They never said that. The original is: then I took an arrow IN the knee.

Except there are more search results for the former than the later.

They sure did. You see, when we were kids, we loved to figure out how to do things because the other Mario games and Zelda trained us from the beginning to find secrets. All of my friends made it a point to ride off the track into the abyss for the laughs.

      >Did you know that Rainbow Road N64 has always had rails?
Yes. Though, the SNES version did not.

      >Yet most people remember falling off the course for some reason.
      1. Everyone learned how to JUMP OVER THE RAILS and land on a lower portion of the course, cheating the course and winning with ease. It's the most significant memory of Rainbow Road N64.
      2. They're old enough to mix SNES (no rails & very short) and N64 (rails, but you jumped over them at the starting line to cheat).

Oh, looks like Anon already answered your memory fatigue.

I never played The Elder Scrolls, let alone 2011's Skyrim. I have zero conflating memories of that game because I'm not some child born in the year 2000.

This trick works by priming the subject with a false memory you wish to implant: "You remember X?"

I have 300 hours in this game and I only remember hearing this once, MAYBE twice. Don't know why it became such a meme when there are plenty of other interesting things in the game..

You can get knocked over those railings pretty easy by a shell or by one of the chain chomps in the level.
      And this:

Isn't some sweatlord speedrunner tech. This was a trick everyone knew about and you'd be "cool" if you were the first person in the room to pull it off. It's way more well known then the Wario Stadium shortcut, and I still remember seeing my cousins try to do that one.
You also don't have to jump off for the shortcut. You can jump down the hill at the start of the course instead of driving down it. I'm pretty sure it faster. The way the camera fricks up if you drive down the hill makes me think that jumping down is intended. I did it every single time every single lap as a kid because it made a satisfying landing noise.

I have, because if you're going fast enough over the finish line at an angle, you can end up in the air and fall over the rails.

You're thinking of snes you literal drooling moron. An actual Mandela effect is in donkey kong 64 you could use lanky's super speed hand stand to run on water and you had to do it to get an overwrold banana in the old reality.

You may also wish to remind yourself of the plot of Orwell's book Nineteen Eighty-Four, where a major device is the Ministry of Truth, whose main job is rewriting history. One way they do that is by altering old films.

    Mandela Effect is a psyop.

If you want an actual example of the mandela effect in vidya then a good example would be how everyone remembers how Vergil was supposedly overpowered in UMvC3 when that was clearly never the case and he was and still kind of is a troll pick in the game.
