Video games are stagnant as frick and Indie games just ape on games from our childhood to the point of it almost being plagerism. Im so fricking sick of remakes and remasters yet even when it's a new and original IP i've already played the same boring shit a million times before in other games.
You know you can just ignore games you don't like. >i've already played the same boring shit a million times before in other games
Yeah, there's a limit to the ideas that can be used for video games.
I'll guess you should check demos that are dropping in steam soon since that's the best hope of finding something new but its sounds more like your problem rather than vidya.
indie games these days are just the millionth platformer, "muh cool retro" pixel graphics trash, RPG maker garbage, survival games or generic city builder style game.
AAA games are full of MTX, battle passes, day-1 DLC and general FOMO bullshit.
The last games I consider even close to a 10/10 (Witcher 3, Arkham Knight) came out 8 years ago.
I find it funny how it’s one game that should be Ganker approved if it wasn’t for its popularity and reputation. Pure gameplay, no pay 2 win at all, insanely high skill ceiling.
i like Fortnite because it prioritizes having fun first. if i'm bored of PvE i'll just dick around in TDM. i've heard they only just added ranked like a month ago.
>competitive games are LE BAD
Found a low testosterone neet. Competitive games aren't about being the best. It's about spiritual journey of striving to be the best. Overcoming personal barriers and inner anger. Something lazy homosexuals just can't wrap their head around as their only motivation in life is being entertained and never leave their comfort zone.
Competitive games suck.
The only good multiplayer games are fun ones.
I'll yell into the mic and lose on purpose in CS if that makes you angry and there's nothing you can do about it.
>not a single argument against >IT'S JUST LE BAD OKAY???
You only proved my point. You have no spine and probably seething loser because nothing in life comes your way. Well guess what. Maybe I'm onto something huh? Ever tried to apply yourself and actually commit to improvement?
>Improving your skills at a game is fricking bad apparently.
yeah. learning an instrument or how to draw is not comparable to playing fricking counter strike.

Yeah cause playing CS can actually make you money.
My argument is that commitment of improving is more important than a subject you committing to improve at. It builds up your character which reflects on quality of your life. In real life competition is everywhere. At school, at work and even at home. Competitive games giving you environment where you can learn how to deal with it in the most effective manner.
In video games the most effective manner to compete is to cheat. Literally everyone cheats in every competition ever.

You missing the point of what I said. Dealing with competitive environment in effective manner isn't about winning. I'm talking being able to move forward within. Overcoming personal obstacles such as anxiety, anger, self esteem, confidence etc. You need to bet your mind straight to start winning. Grinding the game alone won't do much. This is why a lot of people fail and quit in multiplayer.

Competitive games are literally designed in such a way that people do not quit playing them. That's what the OP image is about. They're designed to be addictive and make people think they're improoving
this, most people ive played against are homosexuals who play for a false sense of superiority over others, even in fricking casual modes like Team Slayer in Halo they seem some Black person doing good on Twitch and think they will be like them.
My siblings aren't having much fun with games because they only play multiplayer. They constantly jump between multiplayer shit trying to find a "good one" but at the end of the day still only stick to shit like Destiny or Roblox.
Meanwhile I'm overwhelmed with all the singleplayer stuff recently.
I play only coop and multiplayer with my friends. If you play with randos is completely your fault. There are billions of good singleplayer games, but you people need to wienerstroke your ego.
Sucks to be you.
No it's because people have no taste. Some of the most enjoyable multiplayer games I've played were sub-10k player games like multiplayer E.Y.E, Sven Co-op, Tabletop Simulator and so on, but people will insist playing the closest equivalent to "goyslop" like battle royales and MOBAs.
I think you're projecting calling me insecure when all you have to show is a rank in a game and if anything gets between you and that imaginary rank you seethe and b***h and shit
Those who constantly complain about videogames just have nothing else going on in their life. They project their rage onto the games industry at large. While it has its faults it's not nearly as bad as people claim
If you would like to disagree please let me know:
How long have you been employed
Do you like your job
How much are you paid a year
Do you have a girlfriend / boyfriend
Are you planning to have kids
Are you mentally stable (Have not been diagnosed with mental issues)
Are you fit
Do you have hobbies other than videogames
Have you ever produced custom content for a videogame in any form
If you cannot answer at least half of these positively then I don't want to know what your fricking opinions are on videogames. You're a moronic child who will not only have 0 impact on the industry at large but contributes nothing to society or their own lives. Please just die
I get it when people get pissed off when a series they don’t like gets ruined, but I really can’t get into the mindset where people complain about games ot series they’re never even planning on playing, be it either Ganker or Twitter warriors. It’s such a strange thing to obsess over.
>you only care if games are shit if you actually care about games
No shit sherlock. people with a wife, kids, a job and various other hobbies do not have time for games and do not give a shit about them beyond the next Sony movie game. If my job didn't involve making them I wouldn't make any time for them and would have moved into something else entirely. That hypothetical person wouldn't be complaining about videogames because he wouldn't be thinking or talking about them at all.
Yeah I mostly play FromSoft games and I feel good about vidya. New Armored Core looks fun, so does Starfield and Dragon's Dogma 2.
I feel sorry for youngsters that get peer pressured into playing these awful live service scams and end up hating themselves and others.
Vidya is still good, however it seem a the “AA” game has been completely removed from the equation, in flavour of “AAA” and “Indie”. There are less interesting medium budget games. That’s usually what I think when I hear people say this.
Katamari, Eternal Darkness, Cubivore, Lost Kingdoms etc. Just comfy mid tier games that gave a nice break from the norm.
Plus many games today seem like they want to all be played for years. Was nice to pickup a complete package, enjoy it then move on to the next game.
>get into videogame >it gets fricked
I got into Prototype and Prototype 2, but Radical Entertainment got fricked by Activision
I got into the Fable series and Black & White 2, but then Lionhead got fricked by Microsoft
I got into the Sims, Simcity and Spore, but then Maxis got fricked by Electronic Arts
I got into Stellaris but Paradox completely fricked it with the 2.2 update reworking the
I played League of Legends since around the start of 2012, never really played ranked, but then the company got bought by Tencent and by now it's an esports-pandering shithole. Not that it has ever been good but it has never been this bad either, people are tryharding in unranked.
I also played Dota 2 for roughly more than 700 hours total but people are tryharding like mad even in normal games. I come back one day after not playing for several years and I get complained at that I didn't pull a creep camp into the minion wave.
I really enjoyed Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, and visiting the threads while the latter was still being updated was pretty cool because it gave a sense of a community, but then Project Moon decided that in order to make money they're going to make a gacha.
There are all sorts of cool indie games I am interested in but most of them are early access or not even released yet.
Bethesda made Fallout 4 a very casualized game full of bugs that they still haven't fixed and it's going to take them 8 years to release a new singleplayer game that's literally space Fallout 4.
I played Team Fortress 2 since around 2012 and then Valve decided to make the game worse with every major update from Gun Mettle to Jungle Inferno. Meet Your Match ruined community servers and now almost all of them are gimmicky or filled with plugins and stupid modifications. Jungle Inferno nerfed a lot of weapons to make them comp-friendly.
I got into Deus Ex but Eidos-Montreal got fricked by Square Enix.
I play a lot of vidya and I still think the industry is in a bad spot.
>I got into Stellaris but Paradox completely fricked it with the 2.2 update reworking the
last I heard fans love the Stellaris team for going leaveish old dlc for free, maybe give it another look
I think the gameplay is broken on a fundamental level because of 2.2, the planetary system rework with the population and all was so broken that now one of the default settings reduces pop growth on an empire-wide scale based on how many pops there are.
indie shit is more stagnant than aaa stuff these days. i'm tired of the rogueshit genre and none of these indie developers pushing the envelope. it's all rehashed game play and art and never rehashing good game play such as deus ex, thief and arx fatalis
Before 2007, a game being a bestseller did not correlate near-perfectly with it being dogshit. There were good games in the mainstream of the industry. Indie games meant stuff like Net Yaroze, not twee horseshit, irony porn and walking sims.
>be me >triple A cawadooty shitter my whole life >hit 20 >decide to catch up on all the games I missed from just being a cawadooty shitter because gaming sucks now >old games I'm playing for the first time shit all over modern AAA releases
no, gaming sucks.
Most of that shit are either legit kusoge or games where everyone downplays one another for skin tastes and skill.
it's almost like that's the point
How does posring bad games prove therem are good ones?
>FRICK WHY IS THERE FEMALE PROTAGONIST IN MY DUDEBRO GAMES
>just move on lol
Draft women to wars and die for israelites too.
Video games are stagnant as frick and Indie games just ape on games from our childhood to the point of it almost being plagerism. Im so fricking sick of remakes and remasters yet even when it's a new and original IP i've already played the same boring shit a million times before in other games.
Gaming is dead.
> Gaming is dead
My man is living in a parallel universe.
goysloper
Pfft, uncreative fricker.
Go be picky somewhere else. I least have fun with a game before I judge it.
You are looking hard enough. But at indies are cheaper

fortnite is unironically one of the ones that do hit the same

Seethe and cope shitters. Go ask your mommy to change your diapers.

you have to devote your soul to it but also be ready to decamp to the next one as soon as the FOTM wears off!
Competitive games are for actual NPCs.
Competitive games suck.

You only proved my point. You have no spine and probably seething loser because nothing in life comes your way. Well guess what. Maybe I'm onto something huh? Ever tried to apply yourself and actually commit to improvement?
If you are in any way motivated by the idea of improving at a video game then you are literal cattle.
>self improvement is le bad
>you must stay stagnant and never improve
Yeah checks out a Gankercel would say that.
Self improvement is bad though. You will never actually achieve what you set out to.
Sure pal. Keep telling yourself that.
It's giving /LULZ/
You actually believe this? What the frick?
Improving your skills at a game is fricking bad apparently.
Are you gonna become a "Gaming Journalist" by any chance? Because they're gonna need people like you.
>Improving your skills at a game is fricking bad apparently
It is indeed.

raw numale energy
this, i heckin love the ratrace of being the best in a videogame
this, most people ive played against are homosexuals who play for a false sense of superiority over others, even in fricking casual modes like Team Slayer in Halo they seem some Black person doing good on Twitch and think they will be like them.
You will never be a majority among people who actually play video games.
>Competitive games aren't about being the best. It's about spiritual journey of striving to be the best. Overcoming personal barriers and inner anger.
It's a fricking game you loser lmao. You go use that time to develop a real skill instead of seeing numbers go up lol

Why does multiplayer make Gankercels seethe so hard?
CS:GO and DotA 2 are unironically better than 99% of other shit that people play now, especially console movie games
Why is Rocket League on the list? It's one of the best games I've played from any era and I'm 35
Esports and ranked ruined multiplayer forever
Shit take. All those wacky zany games are still available to play. There's a reason the servers are empty on CS 1.6 nowadays.. The world moved on.
Only good part about comp games is losing on purpose so your team gets mad lmao
Why are you so insecure?
Seethe as I purposefully throw and deplete your imaginary points
You didn't answer me. What caused your insecurity?
I think you're projecting calling me insecure when all you have to show is a rank in a game and if anything gets between you and that imaginary rank you seethe and b***h and shit
Yeah you're insecure. But why?
