Seething snoys
Maybe. It's just interesting that seemingly every day there is at least one thread that reaches bump limit just with folks upset and shitting on Starfield.
Although this makes some sense too. There was a black dude who, in casual conversation, just talked about how he misses his husband. It caught me off guard when I saw that and I didn't really care to keep the conversation going after that.
This. Otherwise it should have elicited apathy at best, but all those obsessed on Ganker are literally agenda posting Snoys.
A lot of the critics here are disappointed PC players.
Disappointed poorgays you mean
I'm playing it on PC. What am I supposed to be disappointed about? It's running fine and I got what I expected which is basically Skyrim in space.
Not him but people still using HDD for their games are suffering. I use an HDD for the bulk of my games, and for starfield that created audio sync issues, graphical/animation errors, npc pathing errors, and constant stuttering and momentary freezes.
Switched it to my NVMe and the game now runs almost flawlessly. So, I guess the game doesn't have any safeguards in the game logic to make sure everything is reading at the right time.
This isn't a slight to you or anything, but I'm genuinely surprised when I hear anyone is still using HDD anymore.
yet another dissapointing western AAA game that looked bad from trailers but dumbasses hypes up anyway only to be filled with rage upon playing it.
honestly have not seen too many sonytards come out for this one, it was expectedly mediocre for anyone who wasn't a delusional toddgay
really the only explanation for the obsessive-ness of the hate threads
This
If it was multiplat there would be about 99% less autistic rage
This but also TESgays seething because they blame Starfield for Skyrim 2 not being out yet, and also Star Citizen cucks for some reason
tesgays barely even want skyrim 2 at this point after fallout 4 and poojeetfield
The fact that it is exactly what everyone thought it would be.
Bethesda chads and normies love it. Though normies don't really do sci-fi much.
Turn-based micro-brains are mildly upset by it.
And and poorgays seethe because they are too stupid to understand that you actually make the game look better by turning off some of the performance costing shit in the options and that it would actually run fine on their 3 years old toasters.
Thankfully you can press the "frick you I'm out" button which by default is tab and just ends any conversation.
>Thankfully you can press the "frick you I'm out" button which by default is tab and just ends any conversation.
This is based but for me FO4, where I literally just walk away, is king
Its an okay game it’s just very homosexual in places like picrel where you meet a spaceisraelite who can’t wait to tell you about his Japanese husband and how he teaches yiddish to the colonists on board
>only one homosexual israelite left in the galaxy
Holy zased
And then you can detonate that entire ship if you want.
Based game.
I love starfield a lot and am 120 hours in but they just went absolutely berserk with the woke shit in this game.
>every leadership position is a black and/or a woman
>girl bosses everywhere
>a large proportion of constellation is gay and or bi
>multiple instance of homosexuals "having children" (disgusting and evil)
>romanceable characters are old and have had multiple partners
>virtually no white male crew available, main one has a half caste daughter
>most non player major characters are non white
There's like 1 or 2 women in the game that aren't obnoxious c**ts. It's unbearably over the top with the fotm contemporary American values.
I can't wait until construction kit comes out so I can add a white crew to the game.
You know... I've actually incorporated that into my head cannon.
The future is literally shit. I'm one of the few beautiful humans left in a galaxy of mutt-creatures and I'm hopelessly searching for a soul mate...
Dude you're like The Last Black Unicorn lol
Isn't it?
this is unironically the future and that is ok. i will wipe degenerates like you from this earth.
Your buck is broken beyond repair, and it's a good thing.
>population control measures
>gays even having the luxury of a surrogate
Pick (1)
Normie sheep jumping on the hate train created by ass hurt snoys
I've found the Toddler
It's a combination of
>vengeful Morrowind fans still seething about Oblivion
>vengeful old school Fallout fans hating Bethesda for taking over the series
>shiposters that like to cause disputes without even caring about the subject itself
Also
they paid for it
Bethesda promised up masterpiece after masterpiece, and their most recent game, fallout 76, was the worst game release to happen in 30 years.
Then they promise another masterpiece. They actually polished it. It's all about space exploration
But you can't explore space. The game is 80% load screens from fast traveling.
And a third of Ganker would not shut up for one diving second before it's release. Talking about spending $100 to play it early, talking bout how it would get a metacritic of 98.
In the real world it was an okay game that people enjoyed. Here on Ganker everything is hyperbole where it was the second coming of Jesus and now it's all over
>Here on Ganker everything is hyperbole where it was the second coming of Jesus and now it's all over
This. A year ago shills were saying that it would be the greatest bethesda game ever because it was Todd's passion project. I'm not disappointed at all because I knew it'd be a Fallout 4 reskin.
the biggest complainers on Ganker are brown teenagers thinking they are impressing white men from /misc/.
Bot malfunctioned.
found one of the mexicans
Schizo
keep crying like the low iq brown homosexual that you are. fricking kek.
>it's all over
Todd promised new revolutionized game
Instead its just bad version of skyrim in space with guns using gamebyro with no space travel or exploration
It's your fault for expecting otherwise. We all know your kind doesn't even like TES or Fallout anyways so why are you obsessed.
What is my kind?
I like skyrim and morrowind.
You sound like obsessed mentally ill moron cultist.
>Todd promised new revolutionized game
True there's nothing really revolutionary about it even if I think it is a good game
>Instead its just bad version of skyrim in space with guns using gamebyro
It's more like Space Oblivion mixed with Fallout 3/4
>with no space travel or exploration
It has both, even if the frequent travel breaks immersion. Travel is still possible and you still can explore randomly.
>no space exploration
And again the exaggeration. You do explore space it's just not as on NMS.
Its not exaggeration, stop defending corporations with blatant lies. Show me space travel with points of interests, flying over planets on low orbit. lets see it.
Personally I'm just disappointed that their game design really hasn't improved in any notable way since 2006. Starfield is yet another repackaged Oblivion. All Bethesda seems to have learned to do over the years is how to outsource things they can't do, or rather don't feel like doing. It's clear that they don't deserve their success, but they'll be successful anyway.
sounds like the doomer brown teenagers mind broke you into being a homosexual. i think thats hilarious and i hope you go all in with this mindset so you are eternally butthurt and ruin your life with each passing day for the lawls!
How do you write so much and say absolutely nothing?
because they dont think for themselves. they are braindead and indoctrinatedly addicted to Ganker now. which btw you should find hilarious, like laughing at a unhappy fast food worker
It's a terrible moviegame.
It's borderline imsim like all bethesda games
check our my comfy box home
There's a lot of legitimate criticisms you could have of starfield but "moviegame" is definitely not one of them.
i think for some reason theyre were expecting it not to be a standard bethesda game, ive had lots of fun so far
this
it really is fun to dick around. More so than in Fallout 4 at least.
Especially after you get a few levels and understand which mechanics are fun for you
It has an interesting concept, but it fails to deliver on every front. Low effort story lines filled with forced diversity and lgbt stuff. Slow as frick menus, boring fetch-quest, spongy enemies, and worse than fo4 outpost building.
I wanted to like this game so much, but as of now its dogshit. It's a "wait a year or two for some mods with alternative quest lines and non uggo npcs and buy it on sale" kind of game.
>I wanted
no one cares, homosexual. fricking lawl!
Its way past your bedtime, Todd.
top kek this mexican is seething!
That's it, I'm calling miss Howard right now! You're in trouble now, mister!
oh for sure, senor. most burritos and tacos and beans or something. fricking lawl, mexican!
oh for sure, dude. most hamburgers and cheesburgers and whoppers or something. fricking lawl, american!
dumbass if he was mexican he would've said Señor Todd
this game is optimized as shit. There are games that are way better looking that need way less graph power. If it ran better sure the overall enjoyment might've been bumped by 0.5- Gameplay wise it's fallout 4, but instead of a truly open world you just go through menus and explore microlocations. Spaceflight should've been cut out altogether from the game, absolutely pointless. How they handle conversation, especially the ones with multiple people talking is downright cringe. This game makes RDR2 look like a masterpiece in terms of world reactivity and groundedness in the universe. Story is servicable, on par with FO4.
7.5/10, if I had a bertter graphics card the score would probably go up to an 8, but that's just another minus in already wonky game.
also
WHAT THE FRICK TOOK THEM 10 YEARS TO MAKE HERE?!
I have a 3060 which is dirt cheap and the game runs fine at 1080p with all dynamic resolution memes disabled
And enemies aren't spongy if you actually think and test your build. Even in TES games you could get stuck with low damage output if you didn't level properly.
Does anyone here think the story expansion is going to effect the game in a meaningful way?
They did in previous Todd games.
The settlement system unapologetically doesn't explain itself to the player, and the hurdle of learning the periodic table is daunting to impossible for most shiskins and troglodytes
It’s better than anything PlayStation has ever had,
this is also very very true. Starfield might be 7.5 out of 10, but it's heaps better than any Horizon Zero dawn or spiderman. That's not the point tho.
7/10.
>better than Horizon and Spiderman
Next time try to make your shilling less obvious.
Because those 2 titles are a fricking 6/10
prove me wrong
Don't have to. Literally every major review outlet and the cumulative Steam reviews say otherwise by themselves
>duudee they're wrong about starfield but right about spinderman
kys
Horizon was horrible. My son seemed to enjoy spiderman but he is 5 years old.
It's easily better than those 2 but that's not really fair for PlayStation. GoW or Bloodborne are PS titles that clear Starfield. Ghost is around the same level.
>GoW
no.
You may be on to something with Ghosts of Tsushima, but nu/GoW is rotten ass that Starfield is actually preferable to.
They could have been making TES6.
they are anon
they didn't spend 10 years working on this game
they spent 10 years working on like 4 different games at once including f76, tes mmo and skyrim VI
which is not that big of a deal because they all use the same engine so it works out ok
I'm guessing tes VI will be out either next year or the one after at most
for me it's bethesda's pants on head moronic fanbase loudly pretending it isn't just Bethesda Game In Space
>fanbase loudly pretending it isn't just Bethesda Game In Space
It's not? So what is it then?
Never mind, I read that too fast.
>game is mediocre at best
>fanboys seethe when people say anything about the game that isn't worshipping
But all the pathetic seethe is coming from haters
>explore the galaxy!
>except every. single. planet/moon. has. already. been. inhabited.
WHAT AM I EXPLORING!? I CANT EVEN GET AWAY FROM FINES 200000000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM A MAJOR CITY
there's 4 tiers of planets, tier 2 planets (which you can't build on without skill investment) correct me if I'm wrong already don't have bases on them. Because why would you? But there are precious metals on them so when you go to a tier 2 planet you see lots of people landing. I haven't been to a tier 3 or 4 planet yet so I don't know if it's the same
thats just the levels of skill for building outposts in different atmospheres. nothing to do with generated buildings already on a planet
for example heres a high gravity inferno planet. picked a random spot and this was a mere 500m away. as is always the case on literally any planet or moon. there are more structures and bases in the universe than there are human npcs
sounds like a good idea for an immersion mod
that said those structures are just there for modding anyway as they also spawn random health items like it's dayz or something, there will probably be a mod in the future that makes really useful items spawn at these or structures similar to those because it's an unfinished system purposefully I believe
>this was a mere 500m away. as is always the case on literally any planet or moon
This shit pisses me off so much, I see people complain about planets being too empty but my problem is the opposite. I swear to god Todd at one point said he wanted to capture that lonely feeling of being the only person to set foot in some area. Where, Todd? Where can I go build an outpost to colonize a new planet where I'm not surrounded by fracking stations and shit?
>get hyped by the pajeet shill's desolate screenshots, constantly posting, "welcome to the kinofield"
>pirate it and start playing
>get pass tutorial missions and start landing on different planets, looking for one unclaimed by others
>finally find one without any structures nearby, this might be the one
>two seconds later see a ship land 500 meters from my location
>repeat that 10x times on any seemingly desolate planet
kek, this homosexual game is AIDS, frick that Pajeet shill, feel bad for the poor sods that purchased this jeet garbage
Also you need to play more I have been to multiple uninhabited planets.
Many of the higher level galaxies that are level 50+ are completely devoid of any human traces. I tried landing on a level 70 planet last night to find a base to raid for some gear and there was jack fricking shit.
Star systems, not "galaxies" you fricking illiterate frick
stfu nerd
Yeah I've definitely noticed higher level planets around level ~45 have nothing on them but weird as frick aliens and rarely a trader outpost.
>be in the settled systems
>surprised to see many systems are in fact, settled
It's unsettling.
essential npcs
exploring is loading screens
game runs like shit
its just not that fun
Upgrade from your 10 series graphics card and upgrade to an SSD
Can't fix the fun part though
your game runs like shit even on the best hardware currently available, todd
I've got a 10 year old build with a 4070 slammed in it and I get 50 fps outside on 1080p ultra
>bragging about hitting 50fps with a $2000 card
LOL
a 4070 is like 500
it is now? i havent looked up prices in a long time
He literally ONLY changed his graphics card. He didn't build a whole new rig. He even prefaced it by saying he's running decade old hardware except the graphics card. What are you talking about?
I'm just immensely disappointed because it's exactly what I thought Bethesda would make.
The game could be a mod for fallout 4.
My personal experience is that the game feels shallow.
Notice that you're in space yet there's only a fraction of the computer terminals of fallout
there's like 15 books in the whole game, and 10 of them are charles dickens novels. You don't find interesting notes or books expanding the lore.
Almost every character will blurt out everything by exhausting dialogue choices, there's no nuance.
How come the only thing people do recreationally in space is darts, cards, boardgames and reading? It's like the game is made up of the worst kind of nerds, the ones that have 'furbabies'
There's too much homosexualry going on. And not just in the homosexual way, shit like walking a guy home from the doctor, or emotionally empowering a woman to quit her job, running the most menial mundane errands that seem so entirely pointless in a game about exploring space.
I haven't picked up many companions yet, but the named ones also seem like they don't even have their own quests. Picked up some cowboy motherfricker in a bar and he has 2 dialogue choices that go nowhere.
Nice meme complaints
>running the most menial mundane errands that seem so entirely pointless in a game about exploring space
In retrospect my entire Starfield experience was summed up near the beginning, after landing on New Atlantis and taking the subway there's an NPC sweeping who has a proper conversation and was tired and stressed, you offer to get her a coffee. I did this expecting it to lead to further information about her situation or something, but no she just says thanks and the side quest instantly ends. Why?
because someone incompetent thought it would be "cute" to have this cheerful janitor girl mopping the floors doing her best or whatever. 200% sure it was a woman designing this activity.
Also, why is there so much coffee everywhere in the game, when from what I've gathered there aren't any quests or interesting facts about the not-starbucks
that sounds pretty sovlfvll ngl
> How come the only thing people do recreationally in space is darts, cards, boardgames and reading?
Bethesda has no vision for what the future could be like, they can’t even fake it.
The planet that has the Lock prison on it is one of the only ones I've seen that doesn't have human POIs. That is, unless I hit some weird randomization.
I just wanted Skyrim in space but I got downgraded fallout 76 in space instead
This is better than skyrim
why?
More immersive, better setting, better combat, better rp progression, better soundtrack the list goes on
what makes it more immersive? Asking genuinely since i don't know much about it.
Do you still need to depend on quest markers? Is the AI better at reacting to things?
No city map
I respect your opinion but
>More immersive
My immersion gets broken every time I have to go through 3 menus and loading screens to visit a planet.
>better setting
I genuinely have no idea if that's an opinion anyone holds with sincerity because even people who liked the game points out that the setting and planets aren't a strong point.
>better combat
True but that's due to guns availability. The meele is worse and has no depth to it.
>better rp progression
True
>better soundtrack the list goes on
Subjective so I disagree
who cares about melee weapons in a game set in space? there are just too many games about swordy swordy
It's just Starfield in a nutshell, they put melee weapons but it's shallow and basically unfinished like almost every other mechanic. It's even bugged that you can sprint into a regular attack in first person but not in first person showing that it wasn't tested at all.
Your immersion gets broken because you have to use a map? That doesn't make sense
>More immersive
in Skyrim you can kill a fair amount of npcs, look at your map, plot a course, and get distracted by a hundred things on the way to your goal, weather changes, random counters beyond "one of our scientist has gone missing and "we need a ship part", npcs and guards recall your deeds and titles
>better setting
Skyrim>literally every fricking planet in starfield
>better combat
better combat? it's identical combat even down to the dragon shouts but at least in skyrim you need to kill a dragon and do a dungeon to get a new power, starfield just have shitty one room temples.
>better rp progression
rajesh..you literally need to invest a perk in order to unlock a basic fricking ability like using a boost pack or fricking lockpicking, hacking is completely gone, no stats or skills, just fricking perks. It's the equivalent of needing to put ten points into archery before you could use a fricking bow.
>better soundtrack
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, rajjesh please hum to yourself the starfield theme and pretend your ass doesn't know the skyrim theme. Hell even the skyrim ambience and night time exploration themes rip starfield to fricking shreds
get the frick out of here you dumb tasteless streetshitting shill
[Embed]
frick now i want to load up skyrim
Seethe moar skyrim zoomoid
>skyrim zoomoid
im 27 which is almost half of your country's life expectancy
>27
You're on the cusp on being a fricking zoomer you disgusting overgrown child.
>nearing your thirties is on the cusp of zoomerdom
Seethe moar
not even the anon you were seething at to begin with
Yeah and skyrim is still shit
>says its better than skyrim
>posts shitty screen shot on purpose
Go play your shitrim
>Year of our lord 2231
>People still have exterior wienerpits
Just paint a target on yourself why don'tcha
I've never seen this mix of immersion and meta in a way that makes no sense for either.
People wanted tes 6 and instead it was delayed another 8 years and what we got instead is a 4/10 empty space game with zero redeeming qualities.
what disgruntles me is that it's much less than the sum of its parts. Given that the game is a soup of mechanics/visuals/ideas taken from other games (both Bethesda and non-Beth games), the overall product is unacceptably unfun given the level of effort applied in polishing its constituent subsystems
There's very deliberate things in the game to force you to interface with other systems, I took alien blood so meds for me are garbage so I never have any because I use them all instantly, there's no way to craft meds at the medical workbench without mods. Why? Oh it's because meds are the most expensive thing in the economy and crafting meds would break the economy instantly.
The real reason you can't craft meds is because they want you to research the pack mods that gives you regenerating HP, which you wouldn't know existed unless you unlocked the skill and then checked out the mods you could do.
The skill system is unfinished and should show you what the frick you're unlocking even when researching so people know what to work for.
That's why so many morons here are like "why the frick should I set up an outpost" because the game doesn't tell you what you get out of it.
Another stupid thing is having ship modules with every crafting bench except one of them or something, like come the frick on you Black folk. Oh I get it, you don't want a research bench in this ship module because then players would never have to build a base
why didn't they just make a good game
A game doesn't have to be objectively the best thing ever made to derive enjoyment off of
It's a mediocre game that gives a unique story and experience and whether you enjoy it or not is purely subjective.
I know you people only bait for replies, but it never hurts to remind that your opinions don't matter to others, and they never should. Make your own decisions, you can always refund things if they do not satisfy you.
there is never anything wrong with taking enjoyment out of anything, even rape. But your kind of talk advocates for more rape, your b***hmade leniency towards bethesda is the exact reason they get away with low effort shit, because they know people like you will say "hey man i enjoy it man, all subjective man"
>comparing playing painfully average video games to rape
you are so fricking unhinged I can't even fathom what kind of shit you went through in your childhood, are you in therapy or is the lack thereof why you're here having a meltdown over a game you hate to an outrageous degree?
my point in going to an extreme like rape is point out how fricking meaningless your comment is, of course things don't need to be "objectively good" to find enjoyment and pleasure from it. like eating taco bell, or being raped. Just because you can derive enjoyment from it doesn't make it ok
you fricking moron
But it's in no way comparable
Taco bell is choice.
Rape is not a commodity you can choose to buy or not and refund if you didn't like it, it's something that happens against your will, your enjoyment of it does not matter in terms of comparing it to video games, you are fricking unhinged and a moron on top of that.
You are going ballistic over a 6/10 game, did you get molested so hard by your daddy that it fricked up your brain to this extent?
Play it, if you like it, keep playing, if you don't, refund, it's so fricking simple, yet here you are, wasting your life away, arguing to people about a game you're never gonna play, trying to convince them to not play it. Do you understand at all how fricking idiotic that is? Do you have any awareness of how fruitless your efforts are?
Why are you not doing something constructive with your life?
Why are you here, complaining about something that is inconsequential to your life, when you could be somewhere else, talking about games you like instead?
brother, no one is ballistic, it's just so tiresome hearing your kind of sentiment everywhere when people are discussing why we should demand more of a company like bethesda, it serves no purpose other than maybe you justifying your purchase, hell im willing to be i have more hours in the game than you so clearly im not fricking fuming and smashing my screen when i see mention of it and when i play it.
Was me using rape that much of a trigger for you?
>why we should demand more of a company like bethesda
but you didn't get more, you got exactly the same shit they've been pushing out since morrowind
Are you fricking stupid by chance?
You didn't answer any of my questions, what the frick are you doing here, crying your days away? Get a new hobby, like playing video games for example.
>but you didn't get more, you got exactly the same shit they've been pushing out since morrowind
they have been pushing out a worse and more shallow version of a game decades old, thats my problem.
>hat the frick are you doing here, crying your days away? Get a new hobby, like playing video games for example.
im discussing my issues with the game i've been playing, as oppose to jerking off the game you've been sucking off
>Are you fricking stupid by chance?
maybe, can't say i need to ask the same of you
people who play with the film grain maxed out are the dumbest frickers on this entire website
and yes I'm comparing you to Ganker /mpl/ and /gif/ trannies
that's the tragedy, it's not maxed out, but it says alot that on the highest preset it auto turns up the grain.
and while im at it this is probably the only game with the exception of the og mass effect where grain benefits the game because of how ugly it can look sometimes
>Play it, if you like it, keep playing, if you don't
>just refund it
>Why are you not doing something constructive with your life?
>Why are you here, complaining about something that is inconsequential to your life,
you can take all of these and give it devs on cue cards to dodge ever having to face any sort of criticism, lol what a homosexual
The frick is your point, ESL-Black person?
Play it, if you don't like it, refund it, this is the easiest way to assess whether you like the game or not. How is this so difficult to understand?
You can be critical of a game you otherwise enjoy, did nobody ever tell you this?
why do you take issue with people discussing their subjective shortcomings with the game? most people can't get a refund because they already played past the point of ever getting one because they bought into the whole "it gets good after 12 hours" or the famous "new game plus is the real game guys"
>played past the point of ever getting a refund
Valve is very lenient with its refund tickets, you can provide evidence that your game isn't functional and you'll get away refunding a game even after 10's of hours.
Or you could've just played the game for 10 bucks on gamepass and be done with it if you didn't like it even after whatever amount of hours.
but why not just make a good game
It is good you just didn't like it
is a 5 or 6 good in your book?
What is your definition of "good game"?
I don't like Resident Evil games because of tank controls, not even the modern ones with third person over the shoulder perspective.
Does that mean they're bad games, because they do not cater to my tastes?
I can enjoy games like Dead Space, Loadout, Remnant and Mass Effect, they all share the same gameplay, It's not even that I dislike horror or the zombie virus stuff, there's just something about Resident Evil and Silent Hill that I could never be bothered with.
You like some things and dislike others, there's nothing more complex to it, it only ever matters to you and your decisions, dragging others with you is completely in vain.
for starters
how ell does it meet the standards it set out to meet based on it's peers and previous works.
that is the best qualifier i can give you without getting lost in your maze of subjectivity and taste you set up with your analogy
It's their best one since morrowind
no it isn't worse rpg mechanics than fallout 3 and oblivion, even less player freedom/agency than skyrim, worse exploration than skyrim.
you are just wrong
How would you know you haven't even played it
aw damn man would you look at that
These are rookie numbers. You need to get to hour 300
i won't do that because i don't like the game enough to do that, and no new game + 11 didn't make it better
also worse photo mode than cyberbunk lol
i can post my hours in skyrim, oblivion, morrowind, fallout 4, 3, 2, and new vegas too if youd like
>based on it's peers and previous works
Don't really care about peers but they've made the same game since morrowind, it's been consistent "bethesda" throughout, Fallout 76 was their first deviance from the form and it made a lot of people mad.
>Don't really care about peers but they've made the same game since morrowind
same formula yes, same game no, it's not a case of them putting out the same game but a worse version with every new iteration
Morrowind had most RPG mechanics but awful combat, good world scale and immersion
Oblivion streamlined the RPG aspects, made the combat more arcadey, good scale and immersion
Skyrim made everything arcadey as frick all the way to the progression systems, decent scale, somewhat immersive, repetitive dungeons, empty vast planes of nothing, "cities" the size of mere villages, the world seems to revolve around the player which is ridiculous.
The fallout games made by bethesda are an anomaly, they're slow and boring, yet endearing and fun to explore and discover new areas in. They're a carnival ride without much of a plot. Just put on your favorite wasteland radio channel and run around. Obsidian somewhat shook the formula with more fleshed out character interactions and quests with NV, but the gameplay is just as clunky and horrible.
>empty vast planes of nothing
but enough about starfield
>run through the entire world of skyrim
>wolves and muggers, sometimes you might see a giant or some spriggan
Wow. Copy paste animal dens, draugr dungeons and caves. The same claw doors or spinny stone icon puzzles, big draugr boss or a lich at the end of the dungeon
All bethesda games are a definition of "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle"
and even with all that shallowness you more or less accurately presented on display. it still has more depth, more rewarding, more memorable and offers more variety and freedom than starfield
>memorable
ehh, what exactly about skyrim is memorable?
HAHA WABBAJACK WABBAJACK LEL AND KEK
And uhhh..... "hey, you're finally awake", remember that!? XD
What else...? Ah, arrow to the knee XDDDD
And that's it, there's your skyrim experience
can you give me a single memorable line from starfield
so you agree that combat is the only thing that has improved in betheda titles while everything else gets watered down or completely removed, cool, same page
anon wasn't comparing rape to a video game or commodity, he was using rape as something that is not good that is possible to take enjoyment from to deconstruct your prior statement.
thanks for that
>that is not good
Except that there are positive things to Starfield, whereas there's none to rape, other than forceful human conception maybe.
A rape is 1/10 at best to an unwilling participant, Starfield is 5/10 or 6/10, why do you people act like the first 5 numbers don't exist when giving the game an honest score? There are games WAY worse than Starfield, you're b***hing about it way more than what is necessary.
People already know what the game is and isn't, but play it because they find themselves enjoying it, despite the shortcomings.
Why do you people always act like that a game criticized heavily can't have good points? It's just as average as every other game they've ever made, if you didn't catch on to it for the last 10 years, you're just obtuse, nothing else to it.
>Except that there are positive things to Starfield, whereas there's none to rape
you can feel good while getting raped, it happens alot and is one of the reasons why victims have a tough time dealing with their trauma
And it's still not a choice. Your decision to get raped by a game you disproportionately hate however, it's all on you.
Anon, all the broski is saying is that saying "things don't have to be good for you to find enjoyment in them" is a meaning less statement because there are plenty of things that are bad that can feel good, heroin feels good, eating shitty food can be good, rape can feel good.
It's the same as the defense "the game is fun with friends tho"
fricking anything is fun with friends
>fricking anything is fun with friends
Not getting raped by them.
Play the game or don't. Simple as. Pirate it if you're afraid of talking to refund employees.
>Pirate it if you're afraid of talking to refund employees.
why would i be afraid of talking to indians, i'm having a decent one with you
>Pirate it if you're afraid of talking to refund employees.
Piracy is OLD gramps, we let indian customer service reps hold our money hostage now.
Superiority complex probably. Sometimes you just have to ignore Ganker because people like to be sensational and bombastic in everything the say. Amd another thing, I see a lot of people trying to defend shit gameplay. You shouldn't do that. Sometimes something is bad and you need to get over. I have over 2000 hours in cyberpunk 2077. It happens, sometimes you like shitty games.
Cyberpunk is a great game in its own right, what I can't forgive them is the stupid timeskip in the beginning of the game.
I wanted to experience all of those years of hijinks with Jackie and THEN move onto the current timeline.
With the upcoming expansion, I need to start a new save because my old one got corrupted after 60 hours. It's definitely one of the most immersive and beautiful games made in the recent years, the combat and pseudo-rpg systems can be polarizing, but the whole world feels alive on a different level to worlds like GTA which feel empty despite having pedestrians running about, even when CP has just as little interaction with the people on the streets, unless they've changed something? The expansion seems to overhaul the cops which is a big plus.
yeah their e3 gameplay presentation was a compeltely faked asspull
Why not just made a good video game?
Why can't you mark items in your inventory? Either trash or "don't sell"
Don't know how many times I've sold my dickpicks while emptying my misc tab, or my badge.
have you tried upgrading your PC?
I need just one piece of titanium for a new muzzle brake. I really do need this muzzle break. One more side mission, I swear. Then it's back to the mystery of the artifacts.
kek just had this happen pirated btw
The only people who are upset are the morons who have to cope with their decision to buy an actual walking simulator on par with Death stranding
Microsoft exclusive so people without an xbox or PC are mad.
It's still a 7/10 game, though.
>can kill people in public and no one will notice the body
>doors are opened and unlocked forever, making things like a bank vault permenantly accessible
>all the gear is ugly full body coverage shit
>starborn powers are ALL copies of dragon shouts
>only 4 romance options, 2 of each gender
>Perk system makes it so you likely won't get a good ship or space suit until NG+, but just entering NG+ gets you have the best suit and ship
>but just entering NG+ gets you have the best suit
The armour makes you lose 6 potential bonus legendary stat slots, as well as mod slots and doesn't even give as much armour as 3 high level pieces of gear. It's shit even the ng10 variant is crap.
>and ship
lol, lmao even
your first day here anon? if it's a new game a bunch of autists will come crawling out of the woodwork to cry about it
Snoys
End of it
They are mad they can’t get what they want
Cowards can rage post here all
They want it won’t change it.
no one is seething it's just obviously an overhyped piece of shit.
How can you say a $7billion dollar company made this? it looks like shit.
All the compounds on all the planets look the same. There's a thread rn of someone standing on a crater implying the game is amazing to explore
When obviously it isn't.
Even Twitch doesn't care anymore.
lol
lmao
I think it looks rather charming!
i raise you a picture of skyrim special edition
damn that's nice
that doesn't look good, look at the fricking ground for gods sake
And there it is. The reason I play Starfield.
Truth is, you never really know what you'll find. The rest is lgbt activists desperate for a BG3 goty. If you fall for that shit, it's on you. That and you need good hardware, so that pretty much rules out all the r/trans/ redditors on their macbooks.
found this today
Empty.
>he has the sun in his game
reee it looks so good. I have the stupid bug where stars/suns don't appear during daytime.
i've enjoyed my time with it. performance seemed to take a huge hit for me after the update last week when it wasn't a problem at all prior to that, but thankfully i'd played most of the game already
faction quests were all great. i'd probably rank them
crimson fleet > vanguard > ryujin > rangers
i like the rangers line a lot, it was just pretty short. meanwhile, vanguard seemed like it was padded out a little with shit like having to do three little side quests for kaiser right before the climax of the whole line, frick that. crimson fleet was clearly the best, didn't care for the first quest on the lock but i enjoyed the rest and nothing felt like filler. plus alternate final quests depending on who you side with and each is actually pretty different (i was surprised how lengthy the assault on the vigilance was). i only did ryujin once but it seemed like there was a little bit of branching with deciding to betray imogene and deciding whether to ban the implant, i'm unsure how big of a change each would be but my impression was that these were pretty minor. vanguard lets you decide what to do with that one guy at the end but that was minor, don't even get to see him die if you push for execution. same with rangers, i think you can let the fat guy pay you off at the end but i gunned him down.
>faction quests were all great.
anon, you can't even kill the dude who blackmails you on neon or kill ikande when you choose to attack him.
if by great you mean in comparison to the main quest then maybe youd have a point
yeah those were both dumb decisions, i agree. you'd have to be pretty autistic to think that spoils the entire questline though
>you'd have to be pretty autistic to think that spoils the entire questline though
a someone who fairly fond with the genre, yeah it kinda sorta did. Mainly because it reminded me of a bigger issue with the game, you can't name single damn questline without an essential npc in it can you
Starfield is pro-white and pro-Christian, only leftists hate it.
Its just so boring exploring a bethesda world these days. Yeah sure, there’s always another hill to climb and another box to open and another npc to bore you to death with dialogue that only has one outcome, and you can lose time being distracted, but the whole experience is tedious as frick. Bethesda lost its magic, or maybe, if you already played them for ten years you can see they’ve got nothing left to offer you.
There’s just no spark in them anymore. They gave their main black character the same name as the biggest black rpg character in gaming history. Who does that? People who have nothing left to offer creatively.
Because we deserve better for our money and Bethesda keeps failing to meet the expectations they themselves set.
It's terribly mid
It's not a bad game, it's just offensively average. Not a game worthy of the reputation Bethesda has garnered (and is now pissing away)
People that praise this game have absolutely no standard. Like even for a bethesda game this shit is empty, is more barebones that their previous games and it shows. Also the space component is an afterthought, nothing in this game feels like it's set in the future.
you tell em, pedro!
Common fallacy on the internet is making people mad=being right. Why did people seethe so much about Labo's sheer existence?
No, people get mad when you say or do stupid shit, scam your audience. And I don't even hate Starfield, I enjoyed it more than Fallout 3 and 4, but for frick's sake you need to learn how to take criticism. I'm annoyed because Bethesda clearly is not ever going to learn from their mistakes, even with TESVI. I would hope for once that the low scores and criticism are a wake up call, and they finally get their shit together.
>I would hope for once that the low scores and criticism are a wake up call, and they finally get their shit together.
that won't happen, this thread proves that people don't want bethesda to be better, they are like battered housewives at this point
I don't like games that are made by literal subhumans
You can frick off to pol to seethe about it
Or I can play good games and shitpost about how terrible this one is lol
Okay but try not being a whiny b***h for once
Cry more, whiney beaner shitskin.
Why would I cry? I get to enjoy this beautiful game!
No U, Hispanic.
that's the most soulless cubicle I've ever seen, and this dude is supposed to be an artist
all the fat, old, swarthy folk really make the few gems you find, stand out
the contrast suddenly hits you and you realize what you've been missing
her eyes have a certain... mouse-ish quality to them, the kind that lives in cold desolate environments
If feels lifeless
>inb4 It’s different to other Bethesda games! You don’t just come across dynamic events like you usually would exploring. Instead you accept the frick ton of quests thrown at you and go to those events
The game is lifeless, why is it that every settled city/town has nothing going on it. In other Bethesda games there would be random events such as bandit attacks, raiders, creatures, thieves, vampires etc doing stuff in towns and cities. In Starfield it’s get greeted by a bunch of civies and explore the same six shops. Galbank, Terrabrew and so on.
Exploring planets consists of raiding the same caves, outposts or pharmaceutical labs. They literally just took outpost clearing from Far Cry and called them ‘Planets’
They really tried to make stealth hard by forcing you to go into 3 different trees to get it.
But it's still OP as frick once you get it lmao.
I know people are disappointed by the lack of seamless space flight, but it's still a very mechanically rich game. The quests don't always take advantage of it though. They should have done more with the physics in addition to adding more quests that start through radiant events while exploring.
im STILL not going to play your game. for probably another year or so when there's an assload of mods :^)
The push by the LGBT community to get BG3 the GOTY award so they can normalize shit like animal fricking and whatever else those disgusting subhuman plague rats do.
>deliberately hyped up by company that makes it
>massive team and budget
>shits the bed with Nintendo64 graphics and 30 year old physics engine
>completely dominated by euro indie game that took 2 years less to develop
Larian has a bigger team for a little top down game
>Larian has a bigger team than bethesda game studio with Todd Howard directing
Look it up
>What is it about Starfield that caused so many people to be so upset by its sheer existence?
The usual sweet little lies from Bethesda, and fools believing that it'll actually be different this time.
Combat (shooting) feels better than before, but the core gameplay and the world is shallow as frick, and do not get me started on the absolute dogshit optimization for PC.
Loading (fast-travel) screens everywhere, same 3-4 copy-pasted facilities/dungeons EVERYWHERE, same (but renamed) 8-15 creatures EVERYWHERE, shitty UI/UX from more than a decade ago, extremely shallow and unsatisfying ship combat, extremely limited interactions with companions (might be a good thing, given how much LGBTQ propaganda is already in there), and rather pointless outposts (only good for researching mods and farming money, you can't craft weapons, ammo, suits, or ship parts).
I got the game for free when I upgraded my PC, so I have little to complain about, but I can't imagine paying $70+ for this game in its current state.
have you tried upgrading your pc?
>game isn't available on playstation
>coincidentally happens to generate the most astronomical amount of asshurt and dedicated tortanic threads seen on this board in years
Gee I wonder what it could mean anon
no one here cares about console homosexualry
it's not soulslike so it's automatically bad.
I only play challenging games, not games made for literal infant.
F4 and F76
StarCitizen > NMS > Elite Dangerous > shit > Starfield
people complain about fast travel in a game about faster than light traveling lol
I’ve been enjoying the hell out of it. It’s probably my second favorite game of the year after Pikmin 4.
My only real complaints are 1. I want to be able to roleplay as a genuinely evil character. The last couple bethesda games are very watered down in this aspect. Allow me to kill off major NPCs, or at least backstab them in some major way. Or even be part of a truly evil faction, not just a group of snarky buttholes who want to steal stuff. But people who want to blow up a whole planet or something.
2. There needs to be a fricking mini map in the cities/space stations. I get the whole point having a sense of exploration while being in uncharted territory. But you’re telling me Neon doesn’t have google maps?
According to the last information they put out, city mini maps are going to be coming. Probably not the next update, but they are going to be making that happen.
Caesars legion in space would be kino
i'll never play a game full of dindus, not unless they're realistically portrayed. i imagine most everyone else feels the same way but most would never admit it.
Go back, election tourist
Bloat = bad.
Never ever allow shitskin involvement.
Found this today. What a great game.
>"Oooooh, that's PUNGENT!"
cmon man
nta but i'll give you another shot
>a nord's last thoughts should be of home
your turn
IT's a 6/10 game.
It tries to copy like 5 different games at the same time, yet it fails to do anything better than those other games.
It's also just baffling how bad many elements are that were previously done much better in their own games.
if you got filtered just say that
>spend about 8 or so hours in the game
>still haven’t seen alien creatures yet
>have to make a pitstop on a smaller system on my way to a destination because my ship can’t jump that far yet
>this planet looks cool, let’s see what’s down here
>it’s a colorful field filled with plants that look like something out of avatar
>start scanning the fauna
>not much going on
>out of nowhere a little triceratops looking mf comes up to me
>next thing you now, whole herd of them walks over
>they’re not even aggressive or anything, they’re just hanging out, eating the grass
>mfw
Yeah, I’m thinking it’s kino. Well done, Todd.
