looks pretty good, what are the best mana games since the SNES era, i want to play more of the series but have no idea where to start.
I am pretty sure that Legend of Mana is the only respected title in the franchise post-SNES. The series cratered in the 00s. The GBA remake of the first game (Sword of Mana) and the big 3D remake of Trials of Mana from a few years back are about the only positive noise that I've heard since LoM and those remakes aren't unanimously liked. Visions of Mana has an extremely low bar to clear.
I'm actually genuinely excited for this.
This doesn't happen to me very often for new games.
Trials of Mana was great and I enjoyed 100%ing that game, and this one looks similar but perhaps even better.
Looks amazing and a step up from Trials remake which I didn't think possible.

What do you mean? I don't see much to admire in this game. Button mashing combat. Dodge the big glowing circle mechanics. No mention of story at all. And the art is mediocre at best.
The earlier games in this series are not particularly cherished either, and for good reason. Yes, there are some who consider them to be cult classics, but they were never more than this in the greater sense of things.

IMO what really pisses anons off is that these companies have been giving fans of niche IPs the cold shoulder in favor of milking their cash cow franchises for more than a decade. Now that they're flagships aren't performing so hot they cynically trot out these new games in franchises they've been sleeping on trying to nostalgiabait old fans into buying them while also trying to rope in noobs.
It never works because noobs don't fall for the brand recognition and nostalgiapandering while old fans are pissed that the devs take a big steaming pile on their childhoods with casualized final products that appeal to modern gaymers.
