GREAT TIER NG with no items Mon's funhouse
GOOD TIER DIS
OKAY TIER NG+ with items
SHIT TIER NG with items NG+ without items snake brand
Don't ask how I know...
so I got the super rod and completed the blank brand, which led me to this floor. I'm not really getting what the egg is asking of me, I've already killed the three traitors. or is it implying is should kill every leech, maggot, and hand monster up until that floor?
I noticed that Gray pretty much never shows up in dialog outside of dreams and it just tells you what she's answering instead of her actually answering while Lillie actually has her sprite show up during dialog with like Tail and Gor.
There's probably some deeper meaning i am not philosophical enough to understand.
>stuck playing Cif__ again because i wanted to see if the brand did anything new >Gor gives me a free locust as Cif if i don't have any so i don't have to kill her
that's kind of nice, i must have skipped over this the first time
how can i end this run quickly without having to take a trip to the funhouse? i went to 000 thinking i could do the Lev to be not continued ending but nothing was there, not even the chest
ultra spoilers, specifically post dev room spoilers: legit. has anyone been able to beat this? some of her attacks seem basically impossible to dodge... I wanna 100% the game but god this is so hard.
How do you get to this?
I'm post dev room already, beat the thing a few times, got 4/6 secrets (completely randomly), no idea what the stranger/muteki options are/how to change that in a regular play, or what the final ??? option is.
Has anybody here got the dialogue lines about Dr. Gray? I've seen some people say that you get information about her if you ||get to Lillie's ending while voided||, can anybody confirm?
I got the last hint on f196 about the drop before the mirrored enemy that's on a straight line, but where is this supposed to be? There's no more mimics after the hint.
I'll give you two hints. One is the dumb cryptic hint, one is the normal version. Time is highly subjective in the void, mortal. Hints aren't all pointing to rooms ahead of you.
My first though looking at this seems to be a good idea, but I'm not here to execute it.
I'm thinking walk along the top edge to rocks, then left, down, left and push the statue, then up, left twice, down, which blocks the bull, then push the statue again.
While not exactly the same movement (I did a turnaround to push it up on an explosive panel to stay near normal blocks), the general gist allowed me to beat it
Thanks a lot
Every doppelganger level is basically "hey look your doppelganger is in the same situation as yours, how do you handle this? :)" and the key is the difference between you and them: your rod.
Exactly. When you see Dragon statues is because they want to limit your power. The doppelganger put them there because he's a huge cuck who's scared of it.
can you give me a hint here buddy. i am able to clear all the enemies but the activated trap tile before the staircase is making it impossible to finish.
and put it where? there's only one normal tile available in the entire level from the eus statue. even if i use that tile as a pivot to grab it i still need one inactive trap tile to take its place and the last in first out nature of the super rod makes it so the activated trap tile comes out first.
your tile backlog should be(in order of placing) >temporary tile(unactivated), temporary tile(unactivated), permanent tile, temporary tile(unactivated)
The spoiler way to get out of the level is >place temp tiles without flying, one next to the other >place permanent tile in the corner >from it, fly so you can grab the temporary tile that was under the statue >go back to permanent tile >activate temporary tiles, destroying them >place the tile you picked from under the statue >place your last temporary tile
There's an interaction that you can find out before that puzzle only if you attempt NG+ puzzles legit, which you probably didn't.
Basically if you trigger the dragon statues BUT remove them all together at the same time, you won't trigger them.
>it's a line of a book
do I do anything with dis information? what the frick was the thing? and what about the banana looking thing I got? did the secret sound but when I died and went to fetch it again it was gone
Oh yeah yesterday I saw this giraffe guy on B170. He just told me a story about how the Void Lords got their horns. Guessing he's a random spawn. If you push him his nose jiggles hehe
Just beat the game normally while voided. The song really caught me off guard. Does anyone know what number it is in the OST?.
Going to try a normal run soon.
It is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPaBS4U0G8k
well, how did they?
I don't remember sadly. It was something like Lev wanted to communicate, so Add gave them all horns to be able to hear what Lev had to say(?). Then overtime Lev grew contempt for Add being nice and giving everyone horns or something like that.
Wonder how a speedrun of this game would work. Like what would be the fastest way to open the game after crashing? Would a 100% run require you to get all the tree cutscenes? What would be the fastest way to both get all the items and beat the game while collecting every crystal? Actually a 100% would probably be actual mental suicide anyways
Fellas, I already did the following things: >Collected the cube, wings and sword >Got the void "ending" >Got the regular ending >I'm at B119 of the NG+ run
What are my options to get more content?
In order: >NG++
Yes. You just beat the game in NG+. Hell, you can even do it VOIDed. I'd recommend getting your items into NG+ via brand or something before anything else, if you haven't already.
>Super Rod
There's a lot of hints around about what to do indeed, but you might need to put effort into compiling them all. Look at B000; it's the biggest hint of them all.
>funhouse
You'll get a hint for this one in NG++. Watch out for footprints as you enter a room. Some rocks are fake...
>I'd recommend getting your items into NG+ via brand or something before anything else, if you haven't already. Yeah I got everything save for the super rod I think >Some rocks are fake...
Ah I discovered that myself in regular NG I think, is it the area where everyone laughs at you if you post screenshot of yourself there in NG? behind a 2x2 grid of eggs?
So when should I do that shit? NG++?
It actually is kek. I've found out of by accident. I think I unironically changed my color, then immediately jumped off from the arena out of frustration and while Gray was falling I noticed and was like "huuuuuhhh???".
>mfw triggeting a statue on floor fricking 130+ in NG+ and having to do everything over again
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I've played a handful of touhou games but get filtered halfway to 3/4 way through. I beat the first but that's not a shmup. Only other ones I've played are in non-shmups where the genre changes to one.
No, seriously, this is impossible without items. I wish I could hate people to death because this fricking finn would've died three times over. There's only one path the golem can take out of that corner that allows it to push both buttons, but it blocks the fricking exit. I can't return either to desync because of the fricking disappearing panels, which would be fricking easy if I had wings, but I don't. Shit like this drives me to violence.
NG+ really isn't that hard(with items), if anything it peaks at the bull zone and only gets easier after that Wings break the game apart and the sword trivializes a ton of "kill all enemies" rooms
Oh frick. They ARE connected. I have to actually beat this thing now. This bedtime story is leaving a few things out though. Manusya fricking stole the israeliteel.
With items it's easy. Place the button to the far right (not even replacing the far right button, I mean literally far right to everything) and only build the doppelganger's bridge to the right.
Oh, I solved this one already.
First go right then left to grab the button, then you want to to the far right, now go back left, build a bridge for the thing then back right so you go up as it goes own, then lead it to the button to the right... at least I think that's how I solved it. I know I did it.

Funhouse question
What the FRICK is the logic behind when these bombs explode? Why do some prime one turn later and others only seem to activate when I'm trapped? I've been on this long boy for an hour...
yeah Ive gotten far enough to push off the gazer and have the clone move accross but the issue is he is never infront of me to go to push the gazer been on the puzzle for more than an hour
Do this:
Swap with clone, kill bottom hand, kill top hand from the other side (and send gazer statue flying in the process, the clone will be there). Go down. Go left. Enter the hole where the gazer is and mess around there.
the cube translates it for you when you interact with it, its a cipher of the alphabet you find at the end of the floors that is also found on every mural
Just got the beach ending, what now?I was in Cifs room but with Cif and just gave 99 skarabs, I saw the big braindamage lady at the bottom but not much was going on(?), was in room 000 but it only led to a cutscene and another reset
Thanks anon. I'm struggling to understand how can I reach the topmost statue. The disappearing tile wont let me go up unless I push up the other statue that wont let me push it from the left
It really isn't schizo like LSD Simulator or anything, but you do uncover weird secrets and stories. You can play through the main stories and completely ignore 90% of the secret stuff. If you like puzzle games, especially sokuban puzzle games, then you'll like it I'm sure.
...
......
......... did the stuff
got upgraded staff
on my way down
go to trade locusts for floor # to speed things up
pick up locust #
tap wrong button in the air >you've fallen
i want to die
Wait, I just got to the credits finally without voiding but I was using the infinity brand. I thought the infinity thing was a progression concept I stumbled upon but was I essentially just cheating? I just started over as the new girl which I'm assuming is the fetus that was attached to the princess's soul
Infinity is a cheat code but not really, you can't run out but you are locked out of a few advanced interactions, so it's part of the difficulty curve to some degree
I'm completely stuck on b205 of the ng+. Also, why the FRICK is the only place on the internet discussing this game also the only place on the internet without searchable archives that work worth a frick?
>items
You're in easier position of that other anon. Just fly behind and grab 2 shadow platforms to get only one Shadow chasing you, from there, it's easy, do the stuff you used in normal mode (turnarounds) to grab and move blocks around safely and get to the button
Oh, I just solved that one. Go right, down, right, down, grab a block, right, put it down, down, grab a block, right, put it down. That should get you started. I'm stuck here myself atm.
Got it by using the wings. Still got no idea how to do it without them. This game really needs a walkthrough or a subreddit at least.
Oh, I just solved that one. Go right, down, right, down, grab a block, right, put it down, down, grab a block, right, put it down. That should get you started. I'm stuck here myself atm.
but it seems like only 3 statues are actually accessible to press buttons? either or of the circled can push the bottom left corner button but there's always one statue that is made immovable by doing so. the intro gor statue doesn't seem like it can be used either.
Currently trying to solve the Tail mural bullshit.
I don't need a hint, I just want to know if this is correct so far. Grey = tile, black = empty. It's just assumptions off the mural and the boulder on B053.
Stuck again. I fricking hate this. I need to vent again.
I didn't even want to do this. I started with with lily and infinite lives to slowly get the items when they're meant to be obtained, but a fricking bee statue shot me to the 100s and I haven't seen a single fricking black statue I could take to reset since. This shit is moronic. How do I solve this without wings? I took the void because I figured it'd let me reset soon but frick me it's almost 60 stages later and fricking nothing. I can't even reset like this. Fricking wish russia nukes the shit out of finland with the dev inside it. FRICK.
>Patch notes.
Like hell I will give this mother fricker any money. I pirated this shit. Why is raging so efficient.
>Like hell I will give this mother fricker any money
Just curious, why is that? Seems like you played really far into it. I've heard of people pirating games like Baba Is You too, and I never understood it.
Did I do this puzzle correctly? First time I've ever done one of these before since I didn't touch those DS games. Also, still not really sure how to find the thing with this. Is it just like how you find the normal ones, or is there more to it? I'm fine with having that unanswered if the game explains the method later.
I think I just fricked up in DIS. there was a room where a boulder talked about a similar room it couldn't remember. I skipped straight to the stairs but I teel like I had to do something there
Knocking on the egg ending should work, as well as a secret ending on floor B000 if you unlocked the box but didn't take the upgraded rod while playing as Gray
I dunno, I met her randomly, we did our run (no deaths if that makes a difference) and now we're here... will have to report momentarily. I don't think this will end well.
This is fricking stupid. I don't want to spend 5 minutes per run testing a solution to a fiddly little puzzle that might not even work. I'm not enjoying this game anymore, I want to look for secrets not painstakingly avoid extra button presses over and over again just to complete the bad ending of a run I'm not sure I even want to finish. A good puzzle is about UNDERSTANDING the solution, not fiddling with hyper-specific bullshit until something happens to work.
Between the misclicks, I've been "winging it" for 15 minutes. What do you even do? I've been walking around the level clockwise, stepping on all the buttons, and dipping down once each circuit to pick up a new shadow until I have "enough". But when I get to the end, I either have one too many, or one two few every time. Does the glass come into play?
You are doing the right thing. Maybe instead of grabbing a bunch of shadows at once, just grab a few at a time until its long enough? You can even just do 1 at a time by stepping on the sigil tiles on the corners and doing another loop.
Should I be going clockwise or counter clockwise? Clockwise isn't working, I always end up either stuck at the stairs with one too few or stuck on the bottom button with one too many.
Clockwise, but not on the outside track.
You should be gathering 6 clones at a time.
And the easiest way to set it up is to start with the bottom right tile of the left patch.
Should I be going clockwise or counter clockwise? Clockwise isn't working, I always end up either stuck at the stairs with one too few or stuck on the bottom button with one too many.
OH you can create excess clones on your last loop to span more tiles. Since you won't have to loop through again, the spawner tiles become "free space" on the final walk to the staircase.
Bro, you already passed me... I 100% agree with you, btw. If I lived in Finnland his finnish ass would be finnished.
kek
[...] >Like hell I will give this mother fricker any money
Just curious, why is that? Seems like you played really far into it. I've heard of people pirating games like Baba Is You too, and I never understood it.
Because games are supposed to be fun you snow munching homosexual.
Unvoid yourself with the four eyed statue and then have a nice day. Refuse the fruit, start a new run, use the Lillie brand to get into NG+ and the other brands to give yourself the items
only way to kill the diamond without expending rod uses is through the clone sigil center right as far as i can tell. but the clone is not killable once summoned. i've tried the two enemies same tile at once trick with the clone and it doesn't seem to work.
small hint would be nice
Pick up your sword and kill the diamond with the statue
ok great hint but im having trouble killing tongues without using at least one rod usage which then makes the stairs inaccessible. killing all tongues with the tan statue is really hard... i need moral support and/or confirmation it can be done
Once everything is dead you use the sword tile you picked up to move to the stairs. It's just a matter of baiting the tongues around and reusing the statue to kill them. If you move the statue to the end of a line you obviously can't push it anymore so just kill the tongues in middle areas
I'm officially filtered. Not sure how I can kill the last hand while still being able to reach the top button with clones since I'm pretty sure I need the rock to break some breakable tiles No spoilers please but is it worth restarting and double checking that I didn't miss something to get the items back? It's such a slog, so I don't want to restart for nothing. Only checked one of the brand rooms and floor 0
Thanks. I wasn't sure if not voiding would set me all the way back to the beginning as Gray
I love meta shit as much as the next guy but I really hate when I'm stressed about whether a simple yes/no decision will wipe all of my progress or not
I'll tell you one thing: in NG+, if there are dragon statues, there's a reason: the intended solution wants you to use the staff. But to do what?
And another small hint: you obviously need the rock to kill the hand. No question about it.
I saw the dragon statues, I assume it's break the tile above the top button and place another tile there to make a loop for the conga line since I get two moves. Just not sure how to break the tile without the rock
The only way to lose progress in this game is if you get to the end of a NG file and tell the game you want to delete your save. Everything else is obtained by brand again on a restart, or in the case of one specific item upgrade you learn how to do it relatively quickly at the start of a run so it shouldn't matter.
i dont know if you already beat the level, but i was at B118 just now. Turns out you need to throw the rock away as soon as it finishes killing hands. Then you get a nice loop to do a conga line

I've been doing 1cc try of Zeroranger every time I boot up Void Stranger since I never got around to it. Today I got to the final boss again. Game's so hard.
2-3's train section is a big difficulty spike. Do you know about the amoebae giving 1ups before the pre final boss? (Some divide with drill/sword, others shot)
Also, when the boss sends six orbs at once, if you are quick you can "collect" them all at once as you would weapon pick ups and destroy them immediately at the cost of one life.
>solved the puzzle >momentary joy clouds my brain functions and i run straight down the stairs anyway
holy frick if i wasn't quick enough on the right click-close window draw i might actually have blown my brains out
i'm going to have a bad time here, i can feel it
so, gray -> beat game voided, unvoided, enter DIS
lilie -> beat game unvoided
cif -> mon's funhouse
is that all there is to do? i feel empty inside
don't fricking "but crystals" me
There's also the carcass ending on any route and a Lev vs Cif ending if you unlock the rod in a Gray save without actually picking it up, then going to room B000 as Cif
>unlock the rod in a Gray save without actually picking it up, then going to room B000 as Cif
What the frick, I didn't know that was actually a thing.
How do you even do that? Do gray -> lilie -> cif in one sitting? or can you just do gray -> cif?
I don't know the execution exactly, some anon posted a streamable link of the second half but I don't know what steps they took before NG++. If you manage to figure it out post it so others can do it too
Avoiding the rest of the thread for now, but how many hits do I need to kill the final boss? I can get to the second phase somewhat consistently, but then the attacks get really damn hard to dodge.
asking again what floor is the sword on? I've looped fully twice in the past hour doing every mural and I feel moronic all over again. it was the first item i got on my original playthrough
i wanna say low 100s, it's a 6x6 room with hands and statues i'm almost positive
it's the gnawing rage one if you have the cube to read murals
if you know the brand i think you can put it in any 6x6 brand room and it'll warp you there, provided it's got the right amount of tiles to draw it
Based anon that was actually it!
You need some rod switcheroo to make the lower to make the blue line actually but it is possible, and by then you can move the same statue to the left!
Thanks a lot!
This is absurd. I can only open and close a single hole to clear this map. If I open a second one, I'll get zapped as soon as I push the last statue away from the stairs. I can't jump, which would trivialize this map, and I can't stand on even a single triangle because otherwise my clones keep the statues from vanishing when the enemies die, and I can't kill a single clone or else I die. This has no solution. Even venting isn't helping me do this. There's no single hole in this fricking mess I could open to kill every enemy. This is as far as I go, and my only option is actually do delete my goddamn save folder because even the ingame save nuke is beyond my current means. Who designs a game like this? Why not add a fricking option to restart the game on the fricking menu?
That could work, but I still can't clear every enemy without making clones. Where in that image could I place a second hole to kill the remaining enemies without creating a clone?
i haven't done this itemless. but you won't get zapped when you push the statue unless you push it into the void. insane you've gotten this far btw if you finish the next 20 levels the game will be a cakewalk for you afterwards.
If you want to figure it out yourself make sure you've seen all the murals and entered them all in
If you want the quick solution knock 23 times on the statue in her room then wait until it blows up, then attack her from behind
i think the lone blank tile has to go in the corner just above the staircase so you can pick up the triggered tile and dump it elsewhere
but frick finagling that shit
I don't 100% remember it, but I think overall all you need is 2 circle tiles and a permanent tile, and start by heading right/down to deal with the snake. Should be a good start if nothing else, the rest kinda flows by abusing wings.
this is honestly a fun one. you need the white tile you create by pushing the snake statue to be in the corner in that left path thing, and you need an unused circle tile flush to the right of that white tile, and you need the tile to the right of that to be empty, and you need your wand to be loaded with an unused circle tile. also switch to green it's better.
I killed Tail and Gor and used the next available death statue to go back to B001, but then in B000 there was just a regular rod instead of a super one. What am I missing?
that's not how you do it. you need to kill big head and tail and then go to B000 without restarting your run. you need to use the floor 23X 6x6 room which can warp you anywhere and use the floor B1 mural, then warp to B000 from there by glitching your HUD. Note that you have to go to B000 not B001.
I was playing as Gray, but it didn't work because I hadn't teleported via the UI to 00 and had only walked from B001 after the death statue into the staff room, which I could have sworn was B000, but maybe I've been playing this too long and need a break

Someone on the dev team seriously needed to be told "no" sometimes. Seriously, what am I missing here? There's no place for the piece I took out, and nothing for her head
can i get a hint? im on B117 and i dont know how to proceed. also i dont know what the point of the hand enemies is... you just die when you touch them i guess?
spoilers what should I do Yo I am at the point where I could finish a Lilith run not voided, or I could go back and get the 000 treasure; is there a recommended order? Like will one thing unlock something else or what? pretty wrecked so just want some guidance 🙂
Could really use some help here. In fact, I might as well ask for another savefile because my brain is fried and I'm not having fun anymore. I want out.
NG+ no items, no warps is a ball crushing simulator. I think it's more fun with items generally. Here's a lot of different options:
Small help with the floor: I think the left 3 tiles are key, and if you can get to the HUD bar you get a lot more room to maneuver and more permanent tiles to steal too.
Option for resetting/ending the run without solving this floor: Get to hud and grab the B2 tile, follow the noise, hit what you find 6 times, wait, and interact with it.
Three different options for warping to get back to where you were fast and/or general exploration (don't read if you want to find these out for yourself): B053's glass tiles make it very customizable for other murals to jump to. Falling in a hole in front of the aristocrat smiling statue eats your locusts and warps you forward as many floor as the locusts it took. In areas you can reach your hud like tree rooms, you can swap locust number and the last 2 digits of your floor to warp to that floor.
Going back to the start and inputting the special brands makes it a lot more tolerable.
Well, now here's an idea. I find myself in a situation in which I can actually reset the run and get myself off this wild ride. Then again, another anon mentioned I'm just a corner away from the end.
do I continue crushing my balls or do I stop here?
I didn't know you could interact with the egg. How the hell do you learn to hit it six times?
Hitting it makes the same noise as the chest that has the memory cube that you had to hit 6 times, that's about it. It's a secret ending only, if you didn't solve it you could just keep walking and get normally killed to reset the room to normal.
So I was trying to speedrun through the end of Lillie's run and ran past the last tree, instead of image puzzles I was greeted by this. Is it even possible or we're forced to use the locust statue?
I just finished no-fruit eating run after one void run. I've seen the carcass thing then "future" cutscene with woman and now I'm back to b001 and nothing seems to be different so far (first birch). Did I miss something? What do I do now? Finish it again?
How do you get to this?
I'm post dev room already, beat the thing a few times, got 4/6 secrets (completely randomly), no idea what the stranger/muteki options are/how to change that in a regular play, or what the final ??? option is.
I'm not. Still the same girl with the staff. The only difference after restarting the game was woman typing on a computer during the "Do you want to change the settings?" etc sequence. When I bump into the carcass I said "yes" to the bells btw. Did I fricked up something?
Unfortunately, that was a secret ending, the actual ending to unlock something new is getting to B255, making a hole, and falling down it. You can see

Going back to the start and inputting the special brands makes it a lot more tolerable. for some options to make going through again faster if you don't want to do the whole loop, I did the same thing.
Ok, that is pretty stupid. Even with a guide second run was pretty tiresome and repetetive. Its probably drop for me, don't think I want to spend another hour or two finishing the same exact puzzles to get 1% in the late game only to accidentally reset the run again and learn on funny internet forum that I actually had to push the boulder onto the star and jump into the hole or something to proceed further.
You fricked up. The carcass is a secret ending that resets your run without any reward.
Could you do something else in that room? It was pretty anoying after like 20screens.
One question about brands: I've go the 'S' brand, not really understood how I'm supposed to use it or what it does.
How was I supposed to not get there? I don't exactly remember how I got there. I definitely rested on the last birch tree, continued downword thru the letter levels and then I think ended up in "terminal" level where I pressed Z on the HUD I think? Am I getting punished for finding a secret too soon? Was there anything else to do at the letter levels? Man, I'm pretty dissapointed in this game so far...
You weren't supposed to know how to activate the ending (hit the egg six times, wait six seconds and talk to it) until you started getting items (which make replays of the normal map go way faster)

Well I hit the egg a couple of times because I was sick of walking around the literally empty rooms (except for some weird bugs) for 15 minutes. Cool discovery I guess....
You were meant to keep going down the staircases until 255. Where you then just safely dig a hole (not in the HUD) and fall down into the actual first ending.
What do you mean? Dig a hole on a "terminal" level, level with birch or the one below that? How was I supposed to know that..
That's why I'd recommend doing the shortcut stuff, and any of the mural puzzles you can too. The S brand will be shown at the start of the game on a new run, if you game over yourself. It lets you put it in instead of your own brand, and doing it twice will activate an effect that will give you whatever thing you unlocked. It's another way to save time so that you don't have to re-find some stuff.
Worth getting to the NG+ though.
I have no idea about "shortcut" stuff and murals puzzles. Sure, there were some murals, I could break some of them but thats it. I guess this something similar to the "fall and skip levels" statue but figuring this out will probably take longer than actually finishing the game again. As for the brand: thats the part I don't really understad, how do you enter them TWICE? And do you know what the sideways 'S' does? I don't want to waste my time again and learn at the end that it bricks my run or something.
My opinion about the game so far is this: Cool concept, seems there are a ton of secrets but getting to them sucks ass. This seems like a noita-type of game where without a wiki you are probably not going to found out 90% of the game unless you dedicate like a week of life to it (or colaborate with other people). In Noita you at least had the RNG element so it was not that repetetive to explore. Here, I'm scared to progress the game for third time because I might miss something again, waste 1-3hours and be back at b001 having accomplished nothing lol. Not saying that every game should be for brainlets but kinda dissapointed that after finishing the game without eating the fruit (that I could at least figure out) I'm back to nothing with little info from the game on what to do next. Maybe I was just unlucky with the carcass thing that aparently ruined everything.

Carcass thing?

After wandering in the void for like 10
minutes, I followed the background music (it got louder if you were getting close). Then I found the "carcass". Thats what the character called it, for me it looked more like an hatched egg.
You were just extremely unlucky. Even if people mess with the UI, they'd likely not find the carcass, or if they did they wouldn't know to interact 6 times exactly with it. So you'd just die and be back on 255, or exit the game and be back on 255.
The critical path of this game is very straightforward about just reaching the bottom, if you try doing that you won't miss anything until the equivalent of like, Spelunky hell zone runs in a ng++ equivalent, at which point you're only still there for the mysteries.
I was scared to exit the game because like I said before, I was afraid that my progress will be reset again or something lol. Thanks for the help.
>"wasting" 1-3 hours >"sucks ass" to find secrets
those are the parts that if you aren't enjoying, it's not for you. you say games shouldn't all be for brainlets, yet you want this game to be?
I like finding secrets and figuring stuff out but not in a super linear and repetitive manner where one wrong step can put you back at the start. That would not be that a big of a deal if not for the fact that after first clear it becomes more of a memorization game (while still one slip up can reset your progress). I guess the "skip" mechanics are supposed to solve that but figuring them out without spoilers still requires trial-and-error while repeating the same puzzles...

Anonymous
So I guess the tldr is this: I can read spoilers about how to skip fast or I can go over the same puzzles yet again to figure it out (or just do them for the third time). Sick...

Ok about the 'S' brand, figured it out: you literally have to input it twice (and inverted) and it give you infinite lives, hopefully that does not brick the ending in some way this time. Here we go again I guess.

those are the parts that if you aren't enjoying, it's not for you. you say games shouldn't all be for brainlets, yet you want this game to be?
You were meant to keep going down the staircases until 255. Where you then just safely dig a hole (not in the HUD) and fall down into the actual first ending.
Finally make it to DIS after 2 days, even stopped by at Cif to collect 99 Bugs Feeling like I know the game like the back of my hand, cruising through the floors, back and forth, having cracked almost all secrets Second DIS room, reset statue staircase, hook, line and sinker AHHHHHHHHHHH
Bros which sketch do I finish up first? Need to draw anything that comes to mind from this game before I get tired of thinking about it in a month or so
Oh frick. They ARE connected. I have to actually beat this thing now. This bedtime story is leaving a few things out though. Manusya fricking stole the israeliteel.
Someone convince me to buy this game, it seemed like a simple puzzle game to me but I got it recommended by some other anon because it's supposedly a schizo game with a schizo plot
Also, how long is it? And should I play Zero Ranger before?
Have you played any of Adventure of Lolo for NES, Baba is You, or La Mulana? Just as a frame of reference.
The gameplay is fairly straightforward but fun puzzles, the secrets are where you figure out riddles and feel like a genius. I'm taking my time doing most everything in it, have stretched 30 hours easily.
Zero Ranger's pretty cool, it's a shmup so if you wanna play one go for it. This one's a tile puzzle game, so really hard to compare the two.
I know, but I'm stuck and would rather work on secrets in Gray's run At this rate we're talking like 1 puzzle per day in terms of how long it takes me and how frustrating I find them.
fair i think you're stuck here until you clear it though, once you've dropped into the funhouse i don't remember there being any spicy staircase statues or ways to get into the HUD
it's not too too long though, and it's not like finishing this part will lock you out of anything
223 was a joke and I'm now at 224. I actually haven't seen any of the previous trees with her, should I skip this one and head for the end or do UI frickery to reset the run? Is the voided ng+ ending relevant at all? or just mostly the same as NG's?
Bro I started with infinite lives, which then shot me like 100+ stages all the way to the 160s. I only did the floors with the mirrored enemies and this set of floors with no items. It makes me wonder why I didn't see a single tree all the way until this point though. I did void to try to make it to a black statue since I was already here, little did I know I wouldn't find one where it was possible to skip until the very end.
Is this one of those games that go "eheheh this entire thing you've been doing is completely meaningless now go back and it all again but do it right this time" because that's the feel I'm getting from it so far
What did the egg ending do besides resetting my save and give me a cutscene about what I guess is an entirely different game? And change my intro screen?
If I want to get to Dis and I have the memory, wings, sword, and super rod on a NG run, all I have to do is go to B227 and completely remove the floor? Is that right? I guess there is glass there? I fricked up my run twice just trying to get the rod and now I'm just annoyed and want it spelled out
still nothing on if getting all 128 crystals does anything?
Apparently another memory.
umm why didnt this work? Is it because I killed tail?
The tile in column B, row 3 should be filled.
ofc
GREAT TIER
NG with no items

snake brand
Don't ask how I know...
so I got the super rod and completed the blank brand, which led me to this floor. I'm not really getting what the egg is asking of me, I've already killed the three traitors. or is it implying is should kill every leech, maggot, and hand monster up until that floor?
it's a bit more specific. You need to talk to it first (as in when you start the level), THEN kill the enemies in the order it lists them.
I'm gonna be honest, that wasn't clear AT ALL
you have to kill them in order
I noticed that Gray pretty much never shows up in dialog outside of dreams and it just tells you what she's answering instead of her actually answering while Lillie actually has her sprite show up during dialog with like Tail and Gor.
There's probably some deeper meaning i am not philosophical enough to understand.
You'll understand eventually.
Gray shows up if you talk to the mimics, who apparently look just like her. One of their random lines in "my eyes are up here"
>stuck playing Cif__ again because i wanted to see if the brand did anything new
>Gor gives me a free locust as Cif if i don't have any so i don't have to kill her
that's kind of nice, i must have skipped over this the first time
how can i end this run quickly without having to take a trip to the funhouse? i went to 000 thinking i could do the Lev to be not continued ending but nothing was there, not even the chest
What am I supposed to do during NG++?
go through the motions until you notice something different
specifically, stop by B193
>NG+ Minotaur Area
is the stinky floor real? are flesh floor/funhouse/seventh circle all the same thing?
ultra spoilers, specifically post dev room spoilers: legit. has anyone been able to beat this? some of her attacks seem basically impossible to dodge... I wanna 100% the game but god this is so hard.
I don't think a single person has beaten it so far.
How do you get to this?
I'm post dev room already, beat the thing a few times, got 4/6 secrets (completely randomly), no idea what the stranger/muteki options are/how to change that in a regular play, or what the final ??? option is.
>Already filtered on B099
I'm not gonna make it bros.
If two monsters go to the same tile at the same time they kill each other
Has anybody here got the dialogue lines about Dr. Gray? I've seen some people say that you get information about her if you ||get to Lillie's ending while voided||, can anybody confirm?
discord pls
How did you get the first spoiler right, but frick up on the second one?
I got the last hint on f196 about the drop before the mirrored enemy that's on a straight line, but where is this supposed to be? There's no more mimics after the hint.
I'll give you two hints. One is the dumb cryptic hint, one is the normal version.
Time is highly subjective in the void, mortal.
Hints aren't all pointing to rooms ahead of you.
I did it and fricking recorded because I'm a brainlet. And if I didn't I'll suffer later.
Glad to have helped. There's still a whole lot of nothing ahead.
Fine by me. I still have to guess Euc brand and find Cif one + all of the Ng+. Is there a way to get items on Ng+?
I got fricking reset'd in the first DIS room
Ok, I give up (this time with spoilers). Should I focus on the statue or is it a red herring?
you will need to destroy every obstacle in a single go
My first though looking at this seems to be a good idea, but I'm not here to execute it.
I'm thinking walk along the top edge to rocks, then left, down, left and push the statue, then up, left twice, down, which blocks the bull, then push the statue again.
While not exactly the same movement (I did a turnaround to push it up on an explosive panel to stay near normal blocks), the general gist allowed me to beat it
Thanks a lot
god almighty dis is hard
Ironically, this one's pretty simple. You're probably overthinking it.
pushing the statues on the buttons is a red herring or no? do i need to relocate the stairs? those are the only hints i want.
It's not a red herring, haha.
Also, if you're behind cover and move onto stairs in view of a Mon statue, you go down the stairs. You don't die.
NTA, but the hint helped me out
Who the frick is ZERO Judge?
Renji from Zero Ranger
Source? I made it up
Anybody got some Lilith lore?
Really thought that Grey was going to get run over by a truck here.
Do I miss anything if I do ng+ voided? Or is it like ng and voiding won't let you finish it?
please explain?
Zero Ranger.
Was that from that one magazine?
does using the statues skip the story scenes / rest points?
yes if you port past the tree floor.
>skip floor containing a thing
>"Did I skip [thing]?"
DIS levels are so fun damn
how the FRICK do I do this
try talking to it
pick up the glass on the left
The top glass tile is there for a reason
If you want something as close as possible to the answer you can move stair tiles
Every doppelganger level is basically "hey look your doppelganger is in the same situation as yours, how do you handle this? :)" and the key is the difference between you and them: your rod.
>Every doppelganger level
what the frick is this then
Exactly. When you see Dragon statues is because they want to limit your power. The doppelganger put them there because he's a huge cuck who's scared of it.
homie took a picture of his screen...
Looks like a Deck.
how. DIS level
nvm got it.
can you give me a hint here buddy. i am able to clear all the enemies but the activated trap tile before the staircase is making it impossible to finish.
>the activated trap tile before the staircase is making it impossible to finish
Pick it up.
and put it where? there's only one normal tile available in the entire level from the eus statue. even if i use that tile as a pivot to grab it i still need one inactive trap tile to take its place and the last in first out nature of the super rod makes it so the activated trap tile comes out first.
Place the activated tile somewhere else.
you gotta have the solid block on you, plus a few of those disappearing ones. remember that your rod can hold as much as you want
your tile backlog should be(in order of placing)
>temporary tile(unactivated), temporary tile(unactivated), permanent tile, temporary tile(unactivated)
The spoiler way to get out of the level is
>place temp tiles without flying, one next to the other
>place permanent tile in the corner
>from it, fly so you can grab the temporary tile that was under the statue
>go back to permanent tile
>activate temporary tiles, destroying them
>place the tile you picked from under the statue
>place your last temporary tile
ty. i had the wrong stack going on the super rod. was grabbing two too many inactive tiles..
There's an interaction that you can find out before that puzzle only if you attempt NG+ puzzles legit, which you probably didn't.
Basically if you trigger the dragon statues BUT remove them all together at the same time, you won't trigger them.
NG+. This is moronic, how do I do this without items?
nvm got it.
you should have a nice day NOW
unironically
You want the answer? I had to move the exit to the block where you push the rock from.
No I mean if you die there in NG+ you can do NG+ using brands
>Talking to whatever that is gives me random lines
LMAO
OF FRICKING COURSE
what the frick, where. I beat the whole game. I can't go back...
What the frick? Is this italian?
yes
google it
>it's a line of a book
do I do anything with dis information? what the frick was the thing? and what about the banana looking thing I got? did the secret sound but when I died and went to fetch it again it was gone
Oh yeah yesterday I saw this giraffe guy on B170. He just told me a story about how the Void Lords got their horns. Guessing he's a random spawn. If you push him his nose jiggles hehe
well, how did they?
what the FRICK
kek, we're playing parallel to each other it seems
Ironically one of the easier ones.
Just beat the game normally while voided. The song really caught me off guard. Does anyone know what number it is in the OST?.
Going to try a normal run soon.
It is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPaBS4U0G8k
I don't remember sadly. It was something like Lev wanted to communicate, so Add gave them all horns to be able to hear what Lev had to say(?). Then overtime Lev grew contempt for Add being nice and giving everyone horns or something like that.
Then ZERO Judge waltzing in with a communicator jawpiece must have been a double slap in the face, huh?
Geez, these are hard.
I'll wait and see how far I get without voiding.
I just started, how can I kill the bug and the snake in this room I have no fricking idea
If two enemies attempt to move onto the same square at once, they die in a collision.
ah I see, thank you anon
Wonder how a speedrun of this game would work. Like what would be the fastest way to open the game after crashing? Would a 100% run require you to get all the tree cutscenes? What would be the fastest way to both get all the items and beat the game while collecting every crystal? Actually a 100% would probably be actual mental suicide anyways
Fellas, I already did the following things:
>Collected the cube, wings and sword
>Got the void "ending"
>Got the regular ending
>I'm at B119 of the NG+ run
What are my options to get more content?
You have a few.
NG++
Super rod
Funhouse
>NG++: Just complete the game?
Super Rod I kinda know what to do by now I think
>funhouse
what? qrd?
In order:
>NG++
Yeah I got everything save for the super rod I think
>Some rocks are fake...
Ah I discovered that myself in regular NG I think, is it the area where everyone laughs at you if you post screenshot of yourself there in NG? behind a 2x2 grid of eggs?
So when should I do that shit? NG++?
The funhouse is indeed intended for NG++, though it's doable in NG it's wildly harder than what you SHOULD be faced with there.
Reach the end of NG+, not much to do in it
solve more mural puzzles
what item was in the dragon chest
a picture of me dragon my balls across your face lol
The rod.
What the hell is this?
this is the third mystery NPC I've encountered, I wonder what they are
oops forgot spoilers
Run over the glass and describe what you get
I already left the room, gomen
Was playing with a friend and he got it while I was looking away, said it looked like a banana(?)
ah damnit, guess I hope I'll encounter it again if its npc specific
does anyone have a screencap of the tadpole?
does it matter whether I do DIS levels voided or not? need a hint for this one as well pls
your hint for this one is that the solution is extreme bullshit
The hint is: change your fricking color already, unironically.
ok:)
I now understand that you weren't being mean but helping...
>need a hint
Take a pause and see where it gets you.
WHAT, that IS bullshit
It actually is kek. I've found out of by accident. I think I unironically changed my color, then immediately jumped off from the arena out of frustration and while Gray was falling I noticed and was like "huuuuuhhh???".
Do we seriously still know nothing about the orbs of light?
WHERE IS BEE I'VE BEEN PLAYING FOREVER I ALREADY FOUGHT THE SNAKE AAAAAH
In my bed.
>mfw every floor in NG+
Where are the snake and big head again?
>mfw triggering a locust statue by accident and finally seeing how they work
I feel stupid
>mfw triggeting a statue on floor fricking 130+ in NG+ and having to do everything over again
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Only a seethe will remain.
If I go past floor B100 is it ever possible to go back to the B0XX floors?
Yes, as this anon just found out
Hold on, isn't that just a run reset altogether? Does all the shit I do in murals and with npcs carry over?
Yes, I found out the hard way, accidentally
Sweet. Time to grind for the locust shops I missed.
I hear the game voided once, how do I get more color schemes
There's a safety locker... Inside of me...
banger
How is Zero Ranger? Balls to the walls hard? Does it get thematically cuhrayzee like Void?
I'd tell you "easy" but you probably never played a shmup before so really hard.
I've played a handful of touhou games but get filtered halfway to 3/4 way through. I beat the first but that's not a shmup. Only other ones I've played are in non-shmups where the genre changes to one.
Well, good luck, you'll need it.
You only need to beat 1 stage at a time so it should be doable, plus you get continues.
It will teach you the right attitude on how to enjoy shmups. May you attain enlightenment.
This is moronic.
Shit like this drives me to violence.
nvm solved it.
Seriously, next attempt after posting this.
>use UI manipulation and teleports to go from tree to tree
No, I do not want to solve your hard mode puzzles. Frick off and give me the story.
mido sexo
NG+ really isn't that hard(with items), if anything it peaks at the bull zone and only gets easier after that
Wings break the game apart and the sword trivializes a ton of "kill all enemies" rooms
if I, theoretically, was a drawgay, what character would you like to see more art of?
Any? There aren't that many but they're all likeable.
>Any?
that theoretical drawgay is a very indecisive person who can't choose by himself
Cif, Bee,
and maybe Mon
Bee and Cif doing pic related about void/using items
That or I WARNED YOU ABOUT THE STAIRS BRO with Gray
Then do my homies doppelgangers beating up Gray or Lily
>a bunch of mimics, with some facing the wrong directions
>"You came to the wrong brane ************"
I don't think the freckles girl at the end of flesh funhouse has any fanart yet so go do that
Oh frick. They ARE connected. I have to actually beat this thing now. This bedtime story is leaving a few things out though. Manusya fricking stole the israeliteel.
Daily reminder manusya did nothing wrong.
FRICK onions, all my bros hate onions
>upgraded rod
is one person even allowed this much power
Don't worry.
It won't be enough.
i know i know
i said the same thing when i first got wings in NG
but let me have this for now
>"I have wings, I'm invincible!"
>doppelganger and shadow clones handling mandatory
uppity mortal....needs DIS correction...
Can I get a hint? Normal mode was cooked enough and brain is a bit fried, where do I want the button?
With items it's easy. Place the button to the far right (not even replacing the far right button, I mean literally far right to everything) and only build the doppelganger's bridge to the right.
Oh, I solved this one already.
First go right then left to grab the button, then you want to to the far right, now go back left, build a bridge for the thing then back right so you go up as it goes own, then lead it to the button to the right... at least I think that's how I solved it. I know I did it.
Cheers I dumb
Don't ask how I know...
Bro I did it without items.
Speaking of, frick this stage.
One day I'll try too
Those puzzles are infinitely more harder than anything in DIS.
Funhouse question
What the FRICK is the logic behind when these bombs explode? Why do some prime one turn later and others only seem to activate when I'm trapped? I've been on this long boy for an hour...
The more damage you dealt the more bombs he'll place before detonating.
Bombs only prime after a certain amount are placed, depending on damage dealt. Also I think one is always placed and instantly primed after a hit.
Help
Seconding this one Im stuck as well here. I can get the first gazer down but after that im stumped
You need the middle falling platform for your clone. Do not touch it.
yeah Ive gotten far enough to push off the gazer and have the clone move accross but the issue is he is never infront of me to go to push the gazer been on the puzzle for more than an hour
There's a place that you probably ignored the entire time, that can help you make him move earlier than you.
the place where the gazer has fallen I can push right to make him go ahead but he is always mis aligned with the middle when I head up there
Do this:
Swap with clone, kill bottom hand, kill top hand from the other side (and send gazer statue flying in the process, the clone will be there). Go down. Go left. Enter the hole where the gazer is and mess around there.
Ok, I think these are all the picross..ses? solved plus the merchant hints. Still no idea what the thing above the merchant locations is.
should've been more. I love picross
the cube translates it for you when you interact with it, its a cipher of the alphabet you find at the end of the floors that is also found on every mural
Now how the frick do I solve this?
Use staff.
>pick the block before the shadow spawn block
>place on the other side of the path
>golem dies
Fellas in which floor is the giant head??
143
Just got the beach ending, what now?I was in Cifs room but with Cif and just gave 99 skarabs, I saw the big braindamage lady at the bottom but not much was going on(?), was in room 000 but it only led to a cutscene and another reset
>big braindamage lady
Wait, who?
im going insane there's always three hands remaining i dont know how to solve this help please
best i can do now, any pointers any one?
You actually have some degree of freedom with the middle statue, you can use it to break the bottom center platform for example.
Thanks anon. I'm struggling to understand how can I reach the topmost statue. The disappearing tile wont let me go up unless I push up the other statue that wont let me push it from the left
True Bee boss fight theme:
?si=jcynrXrFHWV123BB&t=239
I am losing my mind, I must be too stupid to play this.
Bro... You want to move the button to the upper right alley.
yeah I'm a little moronic. No chance in hell I'm beating this game
I love puzzle games but I'm not too into schizo games, am I going to enjoy this game?
It really isn't schizo like LSD Simulator or anything, but you do uncover weird secrets and stories. You can play through the main stories and completely ignore 90% of the secret stuff. If you like puzzle games, especially sokuban puzzle games, then you'll like it I'm sure.
should I use items for my first lillie run?
If you just want to see the story, yes.
If you want challenge, no. The game becomes easy mode
...
......
.........
did the stuff
got upgraded staff
on my way down
go to trade locusts for floor # to speed things up
pick up locust #
tap wrong button in the air
>you've fallen
i want to die
Wait, I just got to the credits finally without voiding but I was using the infinity brand. I thought the infinity thing was a progression concept I stumbled upon but was I essentially just cheating? I just started over as the new girl which I'm assuming is the fetus that was attached to the princess's soul
Infinity is a cheat code but not really, you can't run out but you are locked out of a few advanced interactions, so it's part of the difficulty curve to some degree
I feel like infinite locusts are actually a trap option tbh
I'm completely stuck on b205 of the ng+. Also, why the FRICK is the only place on the internet discussing this game also the only place on the internet without searchable archives that work worth a frick?
>items
You're in easier position of that other anon.
Just fly behind and grab 2 shadow platforms to get only one Shadow chasing you, from there, it's easy, do the stuff you used in normal mode (turnarounds) to grab and move blocks around safely and get to the button
Those chests have interesting properties...
Neat.
this so comf game has such sick art
Come back when you're little, mmmmmmm, richer...
Return when you're a Void Lord.
What does that mean?
Keep playing and you'll find out.
dis spoilers
do i have to get these two out of this corner somehow to proceed? yes or no.
Can be done in tons of ways. The way I did it is by moving the top left button away from there.
but it seems like only 3 statues are actually accessible to press buttons? either or of the circled can push the bottom left corner button but there's always one statue that is made immovable by doing so. the intro gor statue doesn't seem like it can be used either.
meant to quote
nevermind i am mentally moronic
You sure it's only 3? There's one you've been neglecting, I bet.
You start on a 2x1 with wings...
right, and i can make up to this occur with the 2x1.
Nope. MASTER the 2x1, anon.
No worries about being voided, the only thing you miss is crystals.
Also, quite a while.
alright, thanks anon
>quite a while
damn, either i'm slow/bad or this gauntlet is crazy long
Left tile to the right is your next step.
Currently trying to solve the Tail mural bullshit.
I don't need a hint, I just want to know if this is correct so far. Grey = tile, black = empty. It's just assumptions off the mural and the boulder on B053.
Correct.
Thanks. Now to figure out how to fit all these tails together.
Followup: Is the screen Tail is on relevant to solving it?
Nope
Alright, that makes life a bit.. easier, I think.
These 13 screens are a thorn in my dick to arrange.
sounds like you'll get there 🙂
Hope you play the patched version.
I do.
And I'm arranging it..
In paint.net
how long is DIS? also I 've noticed that fewer anons are spoilering it. I guess everyone are already at that point?
Tell me about Gor, how do I fight them?
picross are only for secret crystals correct? Which are only for memories? If not true vague hint please
FRICK.
Haven't tried yet but patch notes said if you void enough even whilst voided it should let you out?
>Patch notes.
Like hell I will give this mother fricker any money. I pirated this shit.
Why is raging so efficient.
help
i don't know which statue is which how tf am i supposed to know
from left to right
mon bee eus cif gor tan add lev
you shoulda been taking notes of what showed up where in their corresponding brand rooms
Often, when a Lord is being described, their statue is present in the room.
There's also other details, like how statues emulate their Lords' natures.
DIS spoilers
How long do I have left? I haven't seen sunlight this weekend yet and want to know whether I should wrap it up or call it a day.
Also, out of curiosity can you do DIS while voided. No undo button + having a limited amount of lives is making this painful...
These aren't fake boulders with Lilith?
I'm guessing the mimics represent their conscience in a way? poor lillie isn't coping so well...
I WILL get through these mimic puzzles I swear to ***
kek
>Like hell I will give this mother fricker any money
Just curious, why is that? Seems like you played really far into it. I've heard of people pirating games like Baba Is You too, and I never understood it.
Did I do this puzzle correctly? First time I've ever done one of these before since I didn't touch those DS games. Also, still not really sure how to find the thing with this. Is it just like how you find the normal ones, or is there more to it? I'm fine with having that unanswered if the game explains the method later.
How did you make the squares turn green? Clicking on them?
Yes, clicking on them while having the paint bucket tool selected.
god, the spritework in this game really is one of its best aspects, it really makes up for me being terrible at puzzles
I think I just fricked up in DIS. there was a room where a boulder talked about a similar room it couldn't remember. I skipped straight to the stairs but I teel like I had to do something there
Cute!
any Finns to translate btw? Google sucks
Iirc it's something like "don't touch" but either way it wasn't meaningful
Has anyone found a way how to end a Cif cycle other than the funhouse? I just wanted to know what the Brand does not do that whole thing again...
Enter the void by removing the "BX" part of the UI and do the carcass ending.
Uh I just was there, at the carcass, first time actually, there is an ending?!
Yeah. Did you hear the sound it makes when you hit it? Didn't you hear that before somewhere too?
Knocking on the egg ending should work, as well as a secret ending on floor B000 if you unlocked the box but didn't take the upgraded rod while playing as Gray
uh, bros?
oo what made that occur?
I dunno, I met her randomly, we did our run (no deaths if that makes a difference) and now we're here... will have to report momentarily. I don't think this will end well.
closing and opening the game over and over again makes scenes play out
Lillie considers killing her to open the way
>next scene
is EVERYONE in this fricking game a lesbian?
Yes.
>'we will find a way out I promise'
>close the game
>open it again
shit
;________________;
>her music plays over everything for the next few rooms
>mfw
>Lesbian game
Need I remind you that Gray takes dick enthusiastically?
This is fricking stupid. I don't want to spend 5 minutes per run testing a solution to a fiddly little puzzle that might not even work. I'm not enjoying this game anymore, I want to look for secrets not painstakingly avoid extra button presses over and over again just to complete the bad ending of a run I'm not sure I even want to finish. A good puzzle is about UNDERSTANDING the solution, not fiddling with hyper-specific bullshit until something happens to work.
this puzzle does suck, just count roughly the amount and wing it lol
Between the misclicks, I've been "winging it" for 15 minutes. What do you even do? I've been walking around the level clockwise, stepping on all the buttons, and dipping down once each circuit to pick up a new shadow until I have "enough". But when I get to the end, I either have one too many, or one two few every time. Does the glass come into play?
Learn how the shadow spawners work.
You are doing the right thing. Maybe instead of grabbing a bunch of shadows at once, just grab a few at a time until its long enough? You can even just do 1 at a time by stepping on the sigil tiles on the corners and doing another loop.
Can't you just keep adding shadows to the conga line and keep walking around the outside until its long enough? Unless I'm missing something.
The tolerance is exact, you can't be plus or minus one shadow and still succeed.
Your last clone should be from the bottom right shadow clone tile.
OH you can create excess clones on your last loop to span more tiles. Since you won't have to loop through again, the spawner tiles become "free space" on the final walk to the staircase.
There's really nothing fiddly about this one.
You need a minimum of 23.
2 loops of each set of tiles yields 24.
Bro, you already passed me...
I 100% agree with you, btw. If I lived in Finnland his finnish ass would be finnished.
Because games are supposed to be fun you snow munching homosexual.
If you're not finding it fun then stop playing it???
How the frick do I solve this... I want out, I want items. This would be a joke with items.
Unvoid yourself with the four eyed statue and then have a nice day. Refuse the fruit, start a new run, use the Lillie brand to get into NG+ and the other brands to give yourself the items
I can't unvoid myself on on that map.
only way to kill the diamond without expending rod uses is through the clone sigil center right as far as i can tell. but the clone is not killable once summoned. i've tried the two enemies same tile at once trick with the clone and it doesn't seem to work.
small hint would be nice
no sword
ok great hint but im having trouble killing tongues without using at least one rod usage which then makes the stairs inaccessible. killing all tongues with the tan statue is really hard... i need moral support and/or confirmation it can be done
Once everything is dead you use the sword tile you picked up to move to the stairs. It's just a matter of baiting the tongues around and reusing the statue to kill them. If you move the statue to the end of a line you obviously can't push it anymore so just kill the tongues in middle areas
Pick up your sword and kill the diamond with the statue
I'm officially filtered. Not sure how I can kill the last hand while still being able to reach the top button with clones since I'm pretty sure I need the rock to break some breakable tiles
No spoilers please but is it worth restarting and double checking that I didn't miss something to get the items back? It's such a slog, so I don't want to restart for nothing. Only checked one of the brand rooms and floor 0
If you die and don't void you can re enter brands to give Lillie the items[/spoile
Thanks. I wasn't sure if not voiding would set me all the way back to the beginning as Gray
I love meta shit as much as the next guy but I really hate when I'm stressed about whether a simple yes/no decision will wipe all of my progress or not
I saw the dragon statues, I assume it's break the tile above the top button and place another tile there to make a loop for the conga line since I get two moves.
I'll tell you one thing: in NG+, if there are dragon statues, there's a reason: the intended solution wants you to use the staff. But to do what?
And another small hint: you obviously need the rock to kill the hand. No question about it.
Also, when the boss sends six orbs at once, if you are quick you can "collect" them all at once as you would weapon pick ups and destroy them immediately at the cost of one life.
in DIS
can i get spicy staircased in here?
Of course.
hrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhh
at least i didn't "test" it
Why don't you find out for us.
>solved the puzzle
>momentary joy clouds my brain functions and i run straight down the stairs anyway
holy frick if i wasn't quick enough on the right click-close window draw i might actually have blown my brains out
i'm going to have a bad time here, i can feel it
so,
gray -> beat game voided, unvoided, enter DIS
lilie -> beat game unvoided
cif -> mon's funhouse
is that all there is to do? i feel empty inside
don't fricking "but crystals" me
There's also the carcass ending on any route and a Lev vs Cif ending if you unlock the rod in a Gray save without actually picking it up, then going to room B000 as Cif
>unlock the rod in a Gray save without actually picking it up, then going to room B000 as Cif
Which boss are you talking about? A lot of the time people don't actually know if the boss they're fighting is the final one.
Pic related. I guess there could be another boss, you're right.
I really don't feel like doing all the DIS puzzles again.
Cif isn't the dragon, she's the bugs.
Talk to a mimic as CIF. You'll understand.
So fellas, I got *that* rod, how can I make *that* brand? I assumed we needed a room with glass but the room with glass has an egg we'd need to remove
Final 6x6 room in the game, all the way down in the final area
Go to *that* 6x6 floor
B227
I already killed Tail and Gor how do kill Mon?
He faked his death by breaking his seal, just go to B000 now
How do I teleport there?
do I have to a simple memory remains?
Swap bXXX with a 00.
but I can only swap the last two digits and swapping the B2 tile just give me this.
Reset to floor 001 by putting the stairs in front of a Cif statue
those were my first thought but my issue was if it was going to reset my progress and might bring back tail and gor alive
It doesn't, don't worry. It just unvoids you and brings you to floor 001, no progress lost.
awww yeah, thanks king
How did you get to B223?
How did you get there?
figure out where to enter Cif's brand
what floor is the sword on? I wiped my save for fricking up royally and now I'm rushing too fast and can't find it
Did you not get a screenshot of the brand you can enter at the start of a new file?
all of those brands are denied at the start of a new file
They shouldn't be... I reset my game and was able to enter them all in just fine?
asking again what floor is the sword on? I've looped fully twice in the past hour doing every mural and I feel moronic all over again. it was the first item i got on my original playthrough
B137
i wanna say low 100s, it's a 6x6 room with hands and statues i'm almost positive
it's the gnawing rage one if you have the cube to read murals
if you know the brand i think you can put it in any 6x6 brand room and it'll warp you there, provided it's got the right amount of tiles to draw it
>if you know the brand i think you can put it in any 6x6 brand room
i did not know that could be done, interesting
ty ty
Don't you have the brand for it?
Any way it's 137
Based anon that was actually it!
You need some rod switcheroo to make the lower to make the blue line actually but it is possible, and by then you can move the same statue to the left!
Thanks a lot!
Please someone help me. I'm sitting here for over 2 hours.
I caved in and found some furry vtuber do that floor.
If you want to give in:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1919090661
Thank you anon, I kiss your heart. What an evil stage.
have a nice day and come back with wings
>I'll get zapped as soon as I push the last statue away from the stairs
Have you tried pushing from above/below?
That could work, but I still can't clear every enemy without making clones. Where in that image could I place a second hole to kill the remaining enemies without creating a clone?
And how do I move him there without stepping on a triangle?
Why would you want that?
Because I need to kill every enemy to clear the map.
Yes, so step on the triangle? What's the problem?
Anon, have you not made it to these floors? LMAO idk the solution without items but stepping on the triangles spawns an enemy
>Anon, have you not made it to these floors?
Finished this one itemless.
>stepping on the triangles spawns an enemy
Wrong.
Carry on stranger.
If I step on the triangle the clones count as enemies and the statues don't go away... but they won't respawn either. Jesus frick thank you anon.
The devs added a note to the latest patch that killing yourself repeatedly when voided should reset you.
i haven't done this itemless. but you won't get zapped when you push the statue unless you push it into the void. insane you've gotten this far btw if you finish the next 20 levels the game will be a cakewalk for you afterwards.
If you want to figure it out yourself make sure you've seen all the murals and entered them all in
If you want the quick solution knock 23 times on the statue in her room then wait until it blows up, then attack her from behind
How do I kill tail? I have the sword
is this a secret teleport room?
No.
I completely rinsed NG but NG+ is unreal, can anyone provide a hand on this one?
okay, took more than one day but I got this one.
We're really playing sokoban now...
Trustworthy underground tutorial friends
made it to DIS, could use a hint for dealing with that last fricking tile on the left
hey i'm here too
frick that last tile
i think the lone blank tile has to go in the corner just above the staircase so you can pick up the triggered tile and dump it elsewhere
but frick finagling that shit
I don't 100% remember it, but I think overall all you need is 2 circle tiles and a permanent tile, and start by heading right/down to deal with the snake. Should be a good start if nothing else, the rest kinda flows by abusing wings.
this is honestly a fun one. you need the white tile you create by pushing the snake statue to be in the corner in that left path thing, and you need an unused circle tile flush to the right of that white tile, and you need the tile to the right of that to be empty, and you need your wand to be loaded with an unused circle tile. also switch to green it's better.
>and you need an unused circle tile flush to the right of that white tile
That's optional.
I don't see how that's possible, how else do you ditch the shitter tile the statue was standing on?
No tile + wings.
I killed Tail and Gor and used the next available death statue to go back to B001, but then in B000 there was just a regular rod instead of a super one. What am I missing?
Go back even further
I think the solution is it needs to be done in a Gray playthrough.
I was playing as Gray, but it didn't work because I hadn't teleported via the UI to 00 and had only walked from B001 after the death statue into the staff room, which I could have sworn was B000, but maybe I've been playing this too long and need a break
you can't use the death statue for this in any case, death statue resets tail and bighead.
that's not how you do it. you need to kill big head and tail and then go to B000 without restarting your run. you need to use the floor 23X 6x6 room which can warp you anywhere and use the floor B1 mural, then warp to B000 from there by glitching your HUD. Note that you have to go to B000 not B001.
oh what the FRICK
212 was a joke, and 213 was ezpz. Wonder what 214 has in store for me.
so who removed gray's womb and ovaries?
yep, I'm getting filtered.
This had me stumped for a while too.
You need to start by pushing the statue to the left and then pushing it up.
thanks anon I finally got it
fricking STOP
"just testin ur devotion bro ;)" no shut the frick up this is BULLSHIT
...Stumped again
I'm think I'm done with anger and have moved on to acceptance. I might be done with the game. Filtered. This is just tiresome.
Someone on the dev team seriously needed to be told "no" sometimes. Seriously, what am I missing here? There's no place for the piece I took out, and nothing for her head
Replace the one you're missing with the one to the left of her ear
Where the hell are you?
your grey has a helmet.
WHERE THE *FRICK* IS CIF'S BRAND???
B223
can i get a hint? im on B117 and i dont know how to proceed. also i dont know what the point of the hand enemies is... you just die when you touch them i guess?
spoilers what should I do Yo I am at the point where I could finish a Lilith run not voided, or I could go back and get the 000 treasure; is there a recommended order? Like will one thing unlock something else or what? pretty wrecked so just want some guidance 🙂
fill the hole, hole-filler
push the statue into the gap
yeah just did haha Locust returneth
Seems the pattern is 2 easy stages and one frick-you-hard one. What the hell do I do here?
Could really use some help here. In fact, I might as well ask for another savefile because my brain is fried and I'm not having fun anymore. I want out.
i think you're five stages away from being done
That doesn't really help. This is the closest I've gotten but something tells me walking in the UI isn't the way to solve it.
Well, I'll be damned.
Walking on the UI was the solution.
Three different options for warping to get back to where you were fast and/or general exploration (don't read if you want to find these out for yourself):
B053's glass tiles make it very customizable for other murals to jump to.
Huh. Like sequence break secret or just easter egg secret?
Easter egg related to the other game they made, ZeroRanger. Just coincidentally has the one extra effect.
So I was trying to speedrun through the end of Lillie's run and ran past the last tree, instead of image puzzles I was greeted by this. Is it even possible or we're forced to use the locust statue?
Hold ESC.
Well that's kinda silly.
Not paying attention to the statues already cost me far too many lives.
does that even look hard to you given your items? just put the button where the glass is. idk what's gonna happen though.
check the statues up top
>Just pickup the tile bro
THERE'S A SAFETY LOCKER INSIDE OF ME
OUT OF YOUR REACH AND I HOLD THE KEY
Does anyone have the webm of this level?
Just pick up the exit.
Holy shit I'm stupid
thanks
Is this NG+?
Cause It's the same as the normal game.
Stairs are on a different tile compared to NG.
I just finished no-fruit eating run after one void run. I've seen the carcass thing then "future" cutscene with woman and now I'm back to b001 and nothing seems to be different so far (first birch). Did I miss something? What do I do now? Finish it again?
Help please (first non-void clear spoilers)
You should be playing as a different character if you finished a unVOIDed run.
You need to beat the highscore to unlock a hint for it.
Or just look at pic related.
Meant for
I'm not. Still the same girl with the staff. The only difference after restarting the game was woman typing on a computer during the "Do you want to change the settings?" etc sequence. When I bump into the carcass I said "yes" to the bells btw. Did I fricked up something?
You fricked up. The carcass is a secret ending that resets your run without any reward.
Unfortunately, that was a secret ending, the actual ending to unlock something new is getting to B255, making a hole, and falling down it. You can see
Option for resetting/ending the run without solving this floor: Get to hud and grab the B2 tile, follow the noise, hit what you find 6 times, wait, and interact with it.

Could you do something else in that room? It was pretty anoying after like 20screens.
One question about brands: I've go the 'S' brand, not really understood how I'm supposed to use it or what it does.
You weren't even meant to go to that area, you immensely fricked up.
What do you mean? Dig a hole on a "terminal" level, level with birch or the one below that? How was I supposed to know that..
Also big thanks for all the help so far
Carcass thing?
After wandering in the void for like 10
minutes, I followed the background music (it got louder if you were getting close). Then I found the "carcass". Thats what the character called it, for me it looked more like an hatched egg.
I was scared to exit the game because like I said before, I was afraid that my progress will be reset again or something lol. Thanks for the help.
>"wasting" 1-3 hours
>"sucks ass" to find secrets
those are the parts that if you aren't enjoying, it's not for you. you say games shouldn't all be for brainlets, yet you want this game to be?
You were meant to keep going down the staircases until 255. Where you then just safely dig a hole (not in the HUD) and fall down into the actual first ending.
Can I use this room to warp to 223?
Is that even a good idea if I'm going to cuck myself out of locusts for the final stretch? Dunno what the final leg of this journey has in store.
Yes, and don't worry.
Got the final hint, thanks. Let's hope 23 locusts is enough for endgame...
How the hell do I reach void lord rooms?
every area has a mural and a 6x6 room. think.
If it's the places I think it is, complete the Murals.
The first can be done on B023
Also, I hope you've been screencapping as much shit as possible.
Finally make it to DIS after 2 days, even stopped by at Cif to collect 99 Bugs
Feeling like I know the game like the back of my hand, cruising through the floors, back and forth, having cracked almost all secrets
Second DIS room, reset statue staircase, hook, line and sinker
AHHHHHHHHHHH
Bros which sketch do I finish up first? Need to draw anything that comes to mind from this game before I get tired of thinking about it in a month or so
Left's more provocative, but right's more evocative.
I vote Lev.
Oh wow Ganker is broken. Look at the post numbers.
Works on my machine
What the frick do I do in here?
this has been answered four times in this thread alone
You want me to click on every fricking spoiler to find out?
You can expand all images with one click if you're not a brainlet.
Yes but then I'd get spoilers for the whole game, having to click one by one is not the issue lol
Well there's a gap right?
fill the hole, hole-filler
I'm trying to get past the empty brand
Any ideas?
do what the rock tells you in the order it tells you
>spoiler
god fricking dammit, ty anon
Talk to rock first, then do what it says.
Apparently this is actually the sequel to zerostranger? Anyone confirm?
Definitely related.
I regret everything.
Someone convince me to buy this game, it seemed like a simple puzzle game to me but I got it recommended by some other anon because it's supposedly a schizo game with a schizo plot
Also, how long is it? And should I play Zero Ranger before?

>Also, how long is it?
Longer than it looks.
>And should I play Zero Ranger before?
It's a great shmup and I like it better than this game.
I dunno what you mean by a schizo plot, but I did go "what the frick is going on" several times.
So the Picross shit is just for a few secret Crystals?
What do I do now? There's just a spicy staircase. Feel like I've missed something.
How many floors are there in Dis?
I'm lost here, again. Help?
How many floors are there actually left? I'm tired.
2 left
2 some extra
Once again the UI to the rescue.
Is there a way to reset during Cif's run or have I passed a point of no return?
you're actually supposed to be here, provided it's your first time around at least
I know, but I'm stuck and would rather work on secrets in Gray's run At this rate we're talking like 1 puzzle per day in terms of how long it takes me and how frustrating I find them.
fair
i think you're stuck here until you clear it though, once you've dropped into the funhouse i don't remember there being any spicy staircase statues or ways to get into the HUD
it's not too too long though, and it's not like finishing this part will lock you out of anything
223 was a joke and I'm now at 224.
I actually haven't seen any of the previous trees with her, should I skip this one and head for the end or do UI frickery to reset the run? Is the voided ng+ ending relevant at all? or just mostly the same as NG's?
...and I just realized I somehow skipped a floor.
Voided or unvoided doesn't change NG+ as far as I've heard. The trees all have new memories in NG+, you should have watched them all.
Alright, guess I'll reset here knowing I did the thing, and start over with all my tools to watch the trees in order.
Be sure to use your brands , the special chests are all empty in NG+. It doesn't seem to affect the ending you get.
>plowed through all of ng+ with no items and didn't even see lillie's dreams
bro...??
Bro I started with infinite lives, which then shot me like 100+ stages all the way to the 160s. I only did the floors with the mirrored enemies and this set of floors with no items. It makes me wonder why I didn't see a single tree all the way until this point though. I did void to try to make it to a black statue since I was already here, little did I know I wouldn't find one where it was possible to skip until the very end.
>troony Stranger
Stop shilling this game homosexuals
There are no trannies, every woman is natural and breedable (to some extent)
Why does that matter when the game is still pixel indieshit
(You)
Is this one of those games that go "eheheh this entire thing you've been doing is completely meaningless now go back and it all again but do it right this time" because that's the feel I'm getting from it so far
Nope.
Everything has a purpose, you'll just be doing it all again and again hunting for the secrets, which are their own layer of stuff.
Cool that's pretty much what I was expecting and I love it
Welcome to the threads, Anon.
Now frick off and go have fun until you get stuck and need a tip.
>tip
Can someone please help me with floor B117 i have no idea what to do
Do I need to use the fricking snake statue here?
Also how far am I? I have work in 8hrs
You won't need to touch it directly.
But you'll need to pickup what it leaves behind.
What did the egg ending do besides resetting my save and give me a cutscene about what I guess is an entirely different game?
And change my intro screen?
Nothing.
Nothing, it serves more as an emergency exit if you're VOIDed and want to reset.
If I want to get to Dis and I have the memory, wings, sword, and super rod on a NG run, all I have to do is go to B227 and completely remove the floor? Is that right? I guess there is glass there? I fricked up my run twice just trying to get the rod and now I'm just annoyed and want it spelled out
Yes.
Just finished a void run and restarted with the statue, what now? I've also got schizo cube and wings
beat it unvoided and also grab the third item
Now, use your accumulated knowledge and items to beat it unvoided, and get the sword while you're at it.
Wish me good luck, I still have no idea how I managed to figure out the right floor for the wings and have no idea when or where to get the sword
Are these or dis-e hehehe THE hardest levels with items in the game? what the frick
I found Mon's funhouse much harder.
Any help for this room?
Use your wings
LITERALLY.
I tried reaching them but can't get them and go back
Your first move is up twice.
God I love you
Oh shi-
BOOBA
Wait, did the previous snake look like the queen?
Was grey a dike?
They're all dikes
Kino ending, but another fakeout?
What the hell is the Seventh Circle? DO I have to do all this a third time?
>3rd
hahahahhahahahahhahaahaha
