Is the infinity brand even viable? How do the warps work when you can't pick up any bugs? I figured they wouldn't do anything, but I fell into a random hole near the start of the game and got sent to B147 with a locust count of 0.
What about B143? I remember it outright REQUIRING locust warps to leave on my first playthrough.
If you trigger a Bee statue it takes away the brand and shunts you a random amount of levels.

? I know everyone memes and says "we took fall damage lol", but I think it's more than that. The game uses HP values as a way signify power/control a lot. Every rpg fight in this has the person in the position of power with higher HP with only exception being the very last one with Lev where the two are effectively stalemated. We lose 3 HP which is both Mon's and Lev's seal. This all can't be a coincidence and surely means something, right?

Even then, HP values are used for storytelling - Void Lords all have HP corresponding to the number on their brand: VOID 0 for Add, VOID 2 for Bee and VOID 6 for Lev, that we see.

An anon found that the sound it makes is within a diamond shape, so you can pinpoint it based off that. For example, if you're on a screen where going up, right, or down makes the sound stop, you've found the right point, so the egg is straight left from there.

There is no way to get rid of Lev's no-fun-allowed statue, and since there are no walls, you cannot bonk the phantom into getting onto button. Glass floors make shadow out of the question as well, and because rocks are out of range, you cannot push them onto button either. Am I missing something? I already did Lilllie playthrough itemless, and it ended when I talked to the tree in B254 before, now attempted it once more with items to get missing gems and saw this.
Inb4 the only way out of this is to get egged. Or perhaps using Bee's statue locust warp?

Grey made a deal with the demons to free Lily but upon finding out she was pregnant saved her daughter Lilith instead

Add is able to use anyone with all the special items as a host

That's assuming the "Great Opressor" Timeline is canon. If it isn't, I feel like it's entirely possible that the planet is at risk of another invasion thanks to their sacred defender no longer existing.
the great oppressor invasion and the onion invasion are two different things so they can both happen, plus the GO invasion could just happen *after* the onion invasion, to the new humanity

I mainly think it's canon because Gray DIS being canon means that Lilie is never born and basically makes the first 30 hours of the game non-canon, Lilie DIS happens after Gray's route so it at least keeps one route relevant.

Its implied Gray died from breast cancer. Her room is littered with pills, Lilith is wearing a breast cancer awareness pin, and in Lilith's DIS ending Gray is seen with the Queen who is confirmed dead. Her getting breast cancer also fits thematically with her relationship with Lilith, her strong desire to relive her relationship with Princess Lily, and her missing womb.

The issue is that me (and presumably several other anons) just aren't done yet. Realistically, it's very hard to 'time' it so that all anons are 'done' at the same time and willing to discuss lore at the same time.

The Black Onions or whatever they're called exist in ZeroRanger as well. They were the ones who originally attacked Manusya for stealing the israeliteel. You also fight one of them in stage 2-2 instead of the usual boss.

Every numbered level is possible with what you currently have, with the trick here being collating the white tiles into a 2x3. That said, there are certainly things that you're missing.

If a tree is withered, you've already seen its scene in this run or there isn't one to see. That's because you're not yet in hard mode.

I think if you just skipped over the tree it should still be alive if you go back to that one.

There's a lot you can do with it, mostly involving moving numbers or just giving yourself extra tiles for a puzzle, but also giving yourself access to an ending any time that you can access the UI that works even when voided.

If you follow the music on that level to its source and remember where you heard the SFX that plays there before, you get an actual ending.

It just a warning that they're not perfect flight: you can still fall if you go outside their capabilities.
You can use them an unlimited number of times, the fragility just means they only work for a very limited amount of time per use. The egg in the room has the correct idea, and remember that if you're about to fall down, you can undo your frickup by quickly moving back to the previous spot.

From the brand entry screen? Getting spicy stair'd only resets your floor and locusts, the game world state remains the same, you'll need to reset via other means (ending, refusing the fruit, the spooky void egg).

Cleared the game once in void form. Trying to clear it again without getting game over but it feels a bit repetitive and I'm not that solid on some screens after floor 100.

It is a bit repetitive. If you want a hint about the brands, keep a look out for rooms that *could* perfectly fit them. One of them is fairly early. And obvious in hindsight.

There are 2 kinds of brands in this game. Ones you enter at the start of a run and one that you can use while travelling through the floors. The murals are related to the latter and figuring out a few of those will make the later levels a whole lot easier to do unvoided

The brand intended for that floor is the trickiest of the bunch to find, and it doesn't really matter much if you miss it a few times, unless you're already on the late-game secret hunt
To add a greater spoiler on what to do: you'll notice that Tail's tail appears in many rooms throughout that section. You assemble those rooms by joining up the tail to create the brand.

The best hint for direction is in the room accessed by a brand that's already carved somewhere between B196 and B224, if you haven't already found that one.

It's mostly on the easy side, so if it's just a worry about not being able to clear it you might be fine, but if you don't think you're going to enjoy Sokoban-style puzzles, probably not: they're a large chunk of what you'll be doing.
It's fairly easygoing for the most part, the difficulty ramps up pretty smoothly and by the time it gets truly difficult you have a lot of practice.

There's some ambiguity about how you need to do it but it was pretty clear what you need to do, for me at least, unlike the pause one that doesn't even give you a hint.

I think picross glowing numbers show you were the secret is and the whole picross is the room layout. So you have to keep up with the floors to see which room and then check the glowing number intersect tile

They build a city and research lab from its technology called DIS, run by DIS OS housed in the black box (which contains the Lotus israeliteel?)
Onions who are still pissed off regardless of ZR's events show up with a black comet to get their fricking flower back
The "government" wants to hand over the box to the onions but a scientist on the DIS team hides it due to it being too dangerous, Void Egg ending ensues
Some mass extinction event (accident?) happens, linked to the creation of the Void Lords by Add and the Void (which came first?)
Human technology gets reset, while DIS's black box remains on the planet somewhere
Void Lords are able to manifest outside of the black box and mess with humans to keep feeding DIS memories, Grey's story happens
This timeline's Erasure is just some space traveler trying to study DIS and playing a judge to get some admin rights
One thing to add to that. The Void Lords are all either based off the main research team, or the research team became the Void Lords somehow.
I haven't read all the bug lore bits yet but I like to think that Add was trying to create humans that can survive the Void after the accident and based them off her old (dead) team to start with.
Cif is the culmination of her efforts, being capable of enlightenment. But then why keep running the experiments within DIS OS? Nobody left to turn them off?
From what I gather, Lev hijacks the Primeval Fighter sealed within DIS and goes back in time to the comet to prevent the Void Lords from ever existing. You stop her (with heavy parallels to fighting Despair) and destroy the comet thus... preventing the Void Lords from ever existing? The ending also confuses me, as well as whether Dr Lily is connected to our Lily or not
It sounds silly but the only way I can explain it is with three different human eras
1) The ones who stole the israeliteel, pissed off the onions and made the Primeval Fighter to push them back massively
2) The ones who found the alien vessel and built DIS around it, then found themselves against the comet (alternate timeline from ZR's where they only found the israeliteel and put it inside Erasure instead)
3) Grey's era, that turns into our regular modern times 10,000 years later
They could all very well be on three different planets

fastest way is to draw cif's brand in any of the rooms where you can, that way you can get to 224 with 99 locusts, you still need to solve DIS puzzles you can make a backup f your save just before the shmup section when you get asked if you're ready, otherwise you'll have to start over if you lose

The murals are only strictly necessary for the final ending, but having the items will make the next endings way more manageable
I recon you didn't finish the game "alive" so technically not really but it would be still a good time to get engaged with those in preparation for the next meta step.

That speciifc room is one of the TAN rooms where there's a rock at the top of the first 0 column and a switch at the top of the second, and a bull just south of it. Forgot the room number but I've done it a ton and I hate dealing with the fricking bulls

the game is made for "runs" so you don't lose anything permanently, the only way to lose progress is going out of the way to talk with a giant broken statue that tells you it will reset everything, just say no
Not really. You just need to say no when the thing that deletes your save asks you if you want to delete your save, if you ever run into it.
If you've come to grips with the mechanics and levels, the infinite locust brand is unironically more a detriment than a benefit.
You'll need to redo everything, unfortunately. If you're planning to do so (or to do it with the other character, who gets a different scene, I recommend making a save backup just before the shmup section.
I played through the game once and got the voided ending, then died on my second attempt and told the little bat thing to frick off. After that the game acted like I hadn't played it before, except I unlocked the infinity glyph. Unfortunately I lost the infinite lives by giving them to a bee statue, and then lost the run shortly after on levels I hadn't seen before. I reset my run with the black idol thing, and now I'm doing a regular run without infinite lives. I have the memory cube, but this is still going slowly. Should I continue, or start over with infinite lives? I learned two shortcuts from the NPC but I've already forgotten the second one. I just don't know if this run is worth continuing (or if i'm even capable of finishing it), or if I should just cut my losses and start over.

Visiting NO WAY fricks up a certain game state trigger and makes the thing not happen in your current run, you need to die or get an ending. After that, run through the gallery and drop into the eclipse again, but this time get spicied at the final stairs and open up the rod chest as usual.
yeah the first time instead of spicy stairs I went to the bee puzzle and solved it then died and it crashed the game. when I came back I was before spicy stairs again and going down it didn't do anything but I got the rod and went through it again and got the ending. Thanks Anon!

does the game pull stupid fourth wall gimmicks that impact my machine or is shutting down after some events as crazy as it gets?
I'm asking because I want to continue playing this on my Steam Deck and the steam deck doesnt handle such gimmicks that well.
as an example playing Oneshot was straight up not feasible.
worst it does is force close after some things
you get yelled at for mucking around in game files but that's just a rare interaction that doesn't affect much
you 100% want to play this on desktop for all the notes you will be taking

That's as crazy as it gets. There is one completely optional secret interaction that will nuke your save file, but the game will explicitly tell you that it's going to happen and will ask you to confirm before proceeding, plus you get to see the worthwhile content even if you back out of it.
if you didn't solve Tail's brand by carving it into your wall with a screwdriver you didn't really beat the game

It might drag on a bit in the middle if you don't like exploring for stuff, but otherwise, yeah.
Is there a purpose to avoiding killing people? I've been doing it as a rule so far but the "lost souls" on B143 seem to be blocking my way and I'm not all that keen to keep feeding them in the hope they'll get dealt with that way.
There's some hidden mechanic tied to your like karma based on killing people or not. afaik it doesn't impact anything major
