even with every setting nuked to zero, having shadows on at all nukes FPS when you have a bunch of lights around the base. but turning shadows off makes things look like shit.

build coolers unless you want your mining rig to catch on fire. 4 electronic scrap, 3 metal, 2 accumulator batteries or w/e they're called, the green and white ones.
Step 0, collect all trash and turn it into it's scrap form
Step 1, buy rack in shop
Step 2, attach metal scrap to the rack until you've got 16 "slots" on it
Step 3, Purchase 2 accumulator batteries from the shop, place them on the crafting table beside 4 electronic scrap and 4 metal scrap, this will produce one "Cooler"
Step 4, Hold cooler and place on rack, you can do this more than once, always have more cooler coverage than GPU's on the rack
Step 5, Buy GPUs from the shop and attach the same as coolers.
Remember to cash out before you save and quit each time as the baocoin is lost if you don't collect it before you save. No, it's not REALLY worth it for the effort it takes to create, but it's fun and humorous to use presumably government funds to mine baocoin.

I want to get into this game but it's been getting too frustrating over the simplest of things. Getting hashcodes is so fricking tedious and annoying, I spend most of the day fricking lost in the goddamn woods following the directions of the signs and still not finding the correct fricking satellite. Why can't I just use the console to get the information from that server? It would all be on the same network anyway. It's just been super mood killing for me, it wastes my whole day and then I have no time to get the drives for the task as well, so I end up just wasting my time getting frick-all. I don't enjoy my immersion being broken by chores, I want to clean the base and actually do some signal recording.
type sv.target (satellite name) into the console, anon. the little compass will point toward it. you can even do it for the transformers. follow the red arrow.
if you can save up the points for it, get a digital map. it's basically the same as the map in your base except it shows where you are in real time.
you can also get beacons and place them to make your own waypoints. you can also nail the map to your ATV so you can use it hands-free (since the map is still active even when you aren't holding it)
use sv.target [satellite] to have the compass always target wherever you want to go
try and do as many signals as possible (extra signals = more points for daily tasks) and up processing level to get more points
get garbage bags and item boxes to sell all the trash in the base for points
buy a kerfus - it'll repair servers for you

i can navigate just fine using sv.target so i did not need the map in the first place

The portable map shows your coords, so you can track down radar contacts by taking the coords of the target from the radar and comparing it against your own coords
I don't think the miner is worth it tbh tbh
The payout is miniscule and the cost is astronomical. It'd take forever just to break even, and you'd have to be all set on money anyways to even afford to put one together.
yeah its not worth it unless you want to go full sims 5 customizing your base. Dev needs to figure out how to balance the work flow (too much work vs nothing to do but sit around) and the points economy (too little early and too fricking many with the miner which takes forever to make)
First few days could be soft-guided "missions" with extra point payouts to get you started on cleaning the base and buying some much-needed upgrades/tools. GPU mining should be a strong supplement after the first week or two, just make furniture and decorations slightly more expensive to compensate because that's all money really goes towards anyway.
the first few days should drop daily tasks entirely and have tasks update upon completion so the player can have time to figure shit out. Also a lot of stuff in the store could be made cheaper in general.
Imo for the miner stuff just make the frame smaller so your not just passing time all day waiting to finish it

a maxed out miner pays itself off after 10 days, give or take a day depending on your difficulty.

You're thinking of signal simulator, which was made by someone else. This game has pretty much always been both horror and comedy
Go to settings, press "funny mode", solve the math equation. Activating funny mode turns off all funny things. No cats, no posters, Kerfus is a more traditional robot.
This mode was made specifically for people like you, though since the dev is a troll the setting name is reversed and you have to prove you're serious by doing math.
There was no math question in the last version when I 'enabled' (checked because it was unchecked in the settings and I wanted it on did I actually turn it off?)

I'm trying to enjoy this game, but I suck at it.
The download speeds seem to be very slow, despite me having bought several upgrades for it. I never seem to be able to get all the required signals downloaded and recorded by the end of the day.
it gets easier as you go along. soon enough you'll be able to bang out multiple full boxes of max level signals per day (if you dedicate your time to doing it at least).
as for it still being slow, though, what upgrades have you been buying? what they do can be a bit obscure.
ah, alright, you're fine then. you might want some more filter size upgrades (makes the filter minigames easier to get 100% on), but otherwise just make sure your servers are all fixed and the dishes are calibrated.
detector size/frequency can also help, they increase how fast the upper percentage value on the filter panel goes up. not actually sure if you need to wait for the detector to finish before you can download the signal, though, but if you can't then that might help get your throughput up.

but frame and gpus, throw metal scrap at it and look around transformer 2 for more
build coolers unless you want your mining rig to catch on fire. 4 electronic scrap, 3 metal, 2 accumulator batteries or w/e they're called, the green and white ones.
Step 0, collect all trash and turn it into it's scrap form
Step 1, buy rack in shop
Step 2, attach metal scrap to the rack until you've got 16 "slots" on it
Step 3, Purchase 2 accumulator batteries from the shop, place them on the crafting table beside 4 electronic scrap and 4 metal scrap, this will produce one "Cooler"
Step 4, Hold cooler and place on rack, you can do this more than once, always have more cooler coverage than GPU's on the rack
Step 5, Buy GPUs from the shop and attach the same as coolers.
Remember to cash out before you save and quit each time as the baocoin is lost if you don't collect it before you save. No, it's not REALLY worth it for the effort it takes to create, but it's fun and humorous to use presumably government funds to mine baocoin.

I want to get into this game but it's been getting too frustrating over the simplest of things. Getting hashcodes is so fricking tedious and annoying, I spend most of the day fricking lost in the goddamn woods following the directions of the signs and still not finding the correct fricking satellite. Why can't I just use the console to get the information from that server? It would all be on the same network anyway. It's just been super mood killing for me, it wastes my whole day and then I have no time to get the drives for the task as well, so I end up just wasting my time getting frick-all. I don't enjoy my immersion being broken by chores, I want to clean the base and actually do some signal recording.

type sv.target (satellite name) into the console, anon. the little compass will point toward it. you can even do it for the transformers. follow the red arrow.
if you can save up the points for it, get a digital map. it's basically the same as the map in your base except it shows where you are in real time.
you can also get beacons and place them to make your own waypoints.
you can also nail the map to your ATV so you can use it hands-free (since the map is still active even when you aren't holding it)
use sv.target [satellite] to have the compass always target wherever you want to go
try and do as many signals as possible (extra signals = more points for daily tasks) and up processing level to get more points
get garbage bags and item boxes to sell all the trash in the base for points
buy a kerfus - it'll repair servers for you
It gets easier and quicker as you become more familiar with the terrain.
Also I hope you're using the ATV.

The portable map shows your coords, so you can track down radar contacts by taking the coords of the target from the radar and comparing it against your own coords

The payout is miniscule and the cost is astronomical. It'd take forever just to break even, and you'd have to be all set on money anyways to even afford to put one together.
yeah its not worth it unless you want to go full sims 5 customizing your base. Dev needs to figure out how to balance the work flow (too much work vs nothing to do but sit around) and the points economy (too little early and too fricking many with the miner which takes forever to make)
First few days could be soft-guided "missions" with extra point payouts to get you started on cleaning the base and buying some much-needed upgrades/tools. GPU mining should be a strong supplement after the first week or two, just make furniture and decorations slightly more expensive to compensate because that's all money really goes towards anyway.
the first few days should drop daily tasks entirely and have tasks update upon completion so the player can have time to figure shit out. Also a lot of stuff in the store could be made cheaper in general.
Imo for the miner stuff just make the frame smaller so your not just passing time all day waiting to finish it
a maxed out miner pays itself off after 10 days, give or take a day depending on your difficulty.

How do you get into the vents? I can see a crowbar and some stinky ass MREs there and something keeps banging up there at night

flying drones in the dark sucks ass, can't deliver shit. infrared camera sucks, I can't see any glowsticks I leave at the landing points from the air, and hooking the glowsticks to the drones themselves provides practically no light
I don't know what posessed nose to give drones no lights, or make their infrared suck ass compared to cameras' infrared

I've figured out plugs, shrimp and balloons balance out a drone's weight fairly well, as they do stay aloft for a decent amount of time
I'll be leaving these shrimp and drone packages in advance
then when the time comes next day, some 5-6 hours from midnight I'll revisit them, nail the shrimp to the drones, turn them on, grab them and lift them up out of catBlack person reach. this should give me enough time to set things up before the shrimp gets eaten

It all came to a close when multiple events in a row black fog and obelisk were two of them from what I recall prevented me from going to the tree house for fear of my life, hiding away at the base scrambling to send enough signals to buy a coffee machine and stay awake at 5 sleep because every time I passed out, the event would wake me up right after

You're thinking of signal simulator, which was made by someone else. This game has pretty much always been both horror and comedy
Signal Simulator isn't as 'pvre' as these people larp anyway, it has events like Elon Musk landing a Space X rocket on your base.
Go to settings, press "funny mode", solve the math equation. Activating funny mode turns off all funny things. No cats, no posters, Kerfus is a more traditional robot.
This mode was made specifically for people like you, though since the dev is a troll the setting name is reversed and you have to prove you're serious by doing math.
There was no math question in the last version when I 'enabled' (checked because it was unchecked in the settings and I wanted it on did I actually turn it off?)

You schizos finally convinced me to try this game. Day 7 so far, nothing out of the ordinary, other than the fact I had the basement breaker trip.
Also some weird footsteps that appeared to be walking on metal...
I'm trying to enjoy this game, but I suck at it.
The download speeds seem to be very slow, despite me having bought several upgrades for it. I never seem to be able to get all the required signals downloaded and recorded by the end of the day.
it gets easier as you go along. soon enough you'll be able to bang out multiple full boxes of max level signals per day (if you dedicate your time to doing it at least).
as for it still being slow, though, what upgrades have you been buying? what they do can be a bit obscure.
Mostly download speed (currently at 12), but I've purchased at least one upgrade in every category.
ah, alright, you're fine then. you might want some more filter size upgrades (makes the filter minigames easier to get 100% on), but otherwise just make sure your servers are all fixed and the dishes are calibrated.
detector size/frequency can also help, they increase how fast the upper percentage value on the filter panel goes up. not actually sure if you need to wait for the detector to finish before you can download the signal, though, but if you can't then that might help get your throughput up.
