There you go. That's every VR thread here.

Should I drop the money on an index or go for something cheaper as my first actual VR device?
I've only tried the shitty PSVR at a friends house before
Wait for the Quest Pro next month
I'm looking forward to RE4 VR a lot. It looks like a ton of fun, but I'm conflicted on if I want to play RE4 again before playing the VR port next month or not.
The Quest 2 linked up to a PC either via cable or wireless is pretty solid. If your internet speed is good then playing PC VR Through virtual desktop streamer or similar programs is pretty good. I've tried the Rift S at my brothers place, but if you go for that one you'll want some earbuds to use with it since the speakers are kinda shitty.
Get the Index. It's literally better in audiovisual and tracking and overall ergonomics. Wireless is useless since you're not gonna be using VR outdoors in a field while camping, you're most likely gonna be in a room at your house. Plus you're not stuck with ZuckerbergOS and ZuckerbergGraphics for your games.
Terrible hyperbole, being wireless allows you to move around freely, it’s a game changer and it’s obvious you are too used to being tethered to even begin to comprehend how much better it feels.
I have tried the Quest. Wireless literally means nothing to me.
Sure you have, yet still you spread misinformation on every thread.
>every thread
lol wut? you sound like quite a schizo
OK anon, see you again on the next thread later today.
Only a few games really benefit from having a wireless headset. Like Gorilla Tag is torture with a wired headset from my experience as a competitive Gorilla
I say wait for the next Oculus or wait for the next Steam VR headset. If you have to get one right now the for the cheapest get the Quest 2 and the high end go for the Valve Index
There are a lot of talk about there being new shit being announced this fall, so wait a moment before you spend any cash.
At this point, even if VR never goes mainstream (which I'm unsure it ever will, honestly) it's still demonstrated it's here to stay as at least a niche market of people who want to push immersion and physical engagement with games. Anybody who says it's a fad at this point is moronic or trolling.
Not really, facebook has people uploading videos of themselves doing stupid shit while playing VR, usual normalgaycrap, so your monkeypaw wish has been granted.
It's outdated or false that there are no games? The utter delusion.
I'm sure somebody will post the list of them for you to forget about 5 minutes later.
The list that contains shovelware and indie gaymes, right?
No amount is outdated information will ever be able to deal with the basics of why vr is a fad. Motion sickness and having a piece of equipment hanging off your face blinding you to the real world will never change in vr. Will always be there
I have money.
Do I get an Index or wait for Index 2? Any other out there that provide a good FOV? I like that the WMR controllers have both pads and sticks.
There is no Index 2 coming out in any near future. This is just a cope VRlets say along with all the other typical copes (I want deep dive, full body haptics, etc...). Yes Valve fills out patents, but that's not a sign of anything other than Valve having ideas in their back pocket.
Valve is going to release another VR headset, I bet it's gonna be a standalone to challenge Oculus. Also tip for people who want full body tracking on the somewhat cheap, strap some wii motes, joy cons, ps wands and set those to track each limb. Or get a kinect or set up multiple web cams for another option.
Name 5 20+ hr VR games that have more than one gameplay mechanic.
Thinking of getting a Quest 2 for me and then handing it off as a Christmas present for my nephew. By then I would have gone through the things that are always talked about or trying random demos and Ill get bored enough with it.
I'd say wait for the next Quest to launch. Btw you can connect your Quest 2 to your PC and use it at a PC VR headset either wired or wirelessly.
Yeah but for an upgraded/slightly more expensive Quest I'd probably keep it for myself plus I'd be the one using PCVR. For him it would be fine to offload him into Facebook's closed off market since he is already in it. Could wait a full year for more VR games anyways
Makes sense
The new Quest is supposed to have tracking cameras on the controllers, so no more blindspots behind your back and such. That's a pretty big upgrade.
Yeah it’s cheap and fun, tracking is great and you can easily set up a custom guardian to fit your room, besides it’s a hot item so you can resell it easily given the necessity.
