Why would tremere be troony?
Gangreis look like pot smoking hippie morons, nosferatu was removed from the sequel because the reminded trannies of themselves and malks are mentally ill, out of touch with reality and dress like sex freaks just like trannies
Brujah are blacks, toreador are israelites and Hollywood freaks and ventrue are manlets
Tremere is probably the most straight white male class in the game
>being such a mental cripple that you cannot help but drag your /misc/ obsession into everything imaginable
Horseshoe theory, you're no different from the deranged trans people you allow to live rent free in your stunted head.
Obsessed and obese
>anon makes an offhand comment about trannies >trannies reveal themselves by seething for no reason
Sasuga
>anon can't stop obsessing about trannies in unrelated threads >gets called out >doubles down
It's time to stop fetishising mutaliated genitals and start playing some VtM, Anon.
Currently playing a persuasive Malkavian with a bit of guns/dementation. Previous/first playthrough was a brawler brujah with maxed intimidate and a fair amount of hacking. God the end game was a slog with him, thankfully Beckett taught me Fortitude at the very least.
>being such a mental cripple that you cannot help but drag your /misc/ obsession into everything imaginable
Horseshoe theory, you're no different from the deranged trans people you allow to live rent free in your stunted head.
>Why would tremere be troony?
Because you will never be a real mage. You have no avatar, you have no arete, you have no enlightened will. You are a walking corpse twisted by blood rituals into a crude mockery of Trve Magick.
All the “respect” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back Ventrue mock you. Tzimisce are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “childer” plot to depose you behind closed doors.
Awakened Mages are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed mages to sniff out linear sorcery with incredible efficiency. Even Tremere who are powerful pale in comparison to Awakened Magick. Your paths are dead givaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk apprentice home with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he sees your fangs.
You will never be ascended. You wrench out a fake smile every single evening and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the Beast creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll walk out of your chantry, wait for sunrise and let it consume you. Your body will turn to dust, your awakened avatar having reincarnated long time ago, the moment you were turned.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.
I will always be Tremere because of posts like this.
I mean if Bloodlines and the random stuff I read from this setting over the years is that the fun is all about being curse, so I want to be extra curse. And still try to survive.
He got cat eyes, there's a reason he's called "catboy beckett" by the community
He is canonically a Malkav that dialberised some Gangrels. And can actually teach you Protean discipline too, if I remember correctly.
homie you better turn with some proofs because that's one of the most bs statements I've ever red, hombre even has them permanent cat eyes, proof of his gangrel blood
Pretty sure the most likely would be Tzimisce since their signature Tzimisce is a troony and they literally have a path called Metamorphosis for shit exactly like that.
>Vykos went from major villain and some otherworldly cenobite pursuing perverse and inhuman experiences to being positive representation for the leftist crowd
How did it all go so wrong?
Based, tremere suck ass! moronic fricking clan for people that want to be mages instead of vampires.
Also, nobody likes these frickers. Why the other clans didn't drive these c**ts to extinction is the real blood magic here.
Iit doesn't help that every edgylord that wants to roll a tremere is a attention prostitute.
I hate tremere so fricking much is unreal.
My last playthrough was a melee Gangrel, my next one is probably going to be an unarmed Brujah but I'm not sure how well hand-to-hand holds up in the end game. I would like to try a gun Toreador at some point as well.
I found the biggest slogs as straight unarmed to be the Society of Leopold mission and the Kuei Jin mission (that one was really bad), everything else was alright. I think I may have had to whip out the flamethrower, despite no points in ranged, for the kuei jin boss though
I’m begrudgingly playing Tremere for the first time. Not as bad as I thought, blood magic is kind of neat. I’m mostly just looking forward to the exclusive hangout.
Blood magic is broken, not only the high level spells do tons of damage the blood shield is great.
I think they also get the most comfy headquarters. Just wish some maps were bigger. To explore more.
How can an unfinished game like this have so much almost liminal space feel to them. It hink the ambient music helps a lot. I only got this same feeling in Thief games.

did gun toreador for my first playthrough, was really fun, would recommend

Basically playing Da Matrix.

Without attempting at being facetious, it's strange reading about people actually trying builds in VtMB. The core gameplay is so lacklustre and unfun that the only viable build i high Persuasion and Seduction. The combat, stealth, anything other thank walking around and talking to people is a horrible chore and nothing can fix it. Arcanum is even worse. You talk about VtMB as if it's Underrail or Knights of Chalice.
Not everyone enjoys being a prostitute like you, anon. Some people like gunning things and want to do so as effectively as possible, some people like good old face-to-face fisticuffs and get their kicks when they outclass their opponents (with weapon apocalypse mod especially), et. c.
Why are so many incels Toreador players? How can they cope with the fact they are ugly, deformed sexless freaks in real life but in games they roleplay they are super romantic charming handsome men? (although i should change that men for "women" considering most of them roleplay they have a bleeding front hole)
I'm considering BPD playthrough on VtM, but it may be better in another rpg where you don't have to deal with the limitations of being a vampire.
Drink and use drugs until I'm addicted to everything.
Frick everybody on sight no matter the consequences.
Complete narcissist can't accept mistakes.
Mainly have a dysfuncitonal relationships with everyone. Idealize them and suck up to them, then devalue them and treat them like trash. Lie, spill secrets, all of that.
>full unarmed >maxed protean and fortitude >only social skill is intimidate >antisocial butthole with a deathwish >opened the box
I still don't even know what the deal is with the Giovannis because after being turned away I just kicked the door down and killed everyone inside on my way to the sarcophagus. I would do another playthrough to see, but I'd probably just end up playing the exact same character again like I always do in RPGs
If they sleep around daily, then probably.
If it's once in a while, they should be safe though.

They can spread by feeding.
If they get their fangs infected, that's actually a good point.

There is a vampire in the books that was spreading herpes

Herpes is small time, there's an infamous Nosferatu that carries black plague - not only through her own bite but also through ghouled fleas that feed off her.

If she was turned while she had the plague, then that's really fitting. The nosferatu curse would keep that and not cure it.
to disease
They might not be affected by disease but they can still carry and spread it. Spreading disease is a good way to get unwanted attention and trouble.
Have only played the game so don't know about the deeper lore. What exactly does the Tzimisce's "flesh-shaping" abilities actually do for them? Other than changing how they look, what powers do they get from it and how does it make them strong?
At low levels you become an excellent surgeon and can improve your own image to become a highly attractive version of yourself, moving on you get the ability to use fleshcrafting on others, beyond the furniture the best things you can create are combat ghouls, which can frick shit up for kindred if they aren't careful. At the peak of average kindred powers you get a war form which boosts your own strength by a big amount, turn yourself into blood or make your own separated limbs act on their own.
Beyond that starts the ridiculous shit like becoming Alucard and being near impossible to kill, turning into a giant bat monster like the sheriff in VTMB or vukodlak in VTM: Redemption, turn your own blood into acid, breathe fire like a dragon, turn yourself into a dragon, turn people into blood, fleshcraft from a distance and if you are an antedeluvian then you can become like a fungus and spread your spores all over a city or try to inflitrate another one's body just like the Tzimisce Ante tried to hijack Tremere/Saulot's body turning it into a giant white worm fighting with itself on a 3-way battle over control of their own mind and body.
Not a great fan of Tzichos, their clan discipline is very malleable, every point permits you make more drastic changes you can talk with your DM and see what he permits you to do based on current level on the discipline.
But, there's some "standard powers", described in the books: >https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Vicissitude#Official_Abilities
Extra eyes on the back of your head so you can look behind you at all times and can't be snuck up on.
Extra eyes one on the palm of your hand, so you extend it to look into difficult places like looking for cookies on a tall cupboard.
An extra mouth on your hand so you can feed discreetly through a handshake or otherwise from tact.
Big funny ears to gain echolocation, sneaking up to you or escaping from you is now even moar difficult.
An Assasssin's Creed-style hidden retractable wrist blade made out of your own bone that you can use for discreet assassination or to blindside your enemies when they think they got the better of you; plus you can't ever be caught unarmed.
A second weapon with the same purpose. Turns your tongue into a hardened, retractable prick you can use to kill up close if necessary, or to feed funneling blood through it. Disgusting.
Move the heart down to the pelvis, so anyone wanting to stake you would miss.
Lower the brain and place it in the chest, so decapitation wouldn’t cause Final Death.
Strengthens the ribcage, so it’s harder to reach both the brain.
Creates a hardened exoskeleton armor through fleshcraft and bonecraft, ride out to battle clad in demonic armor.
Shape your fingerbone into the only key to open all your secrets behind that door or inside that box or whatever.
>Move the heart down to the pelvis, so anyone wanting to stake you would miss. >Lower the brain and place it in the chest, so decapitation wouldn’t cause Final Death.
so if someone stakes you they'd hit your brain

They've done us dirty boys. First they canonically nuked our SCHREKNET, then they turned us into fake nail/teeth wearing gayboys. May this franchise rot in hell.
How many of you have actually played the tabletop? I ask half because the /tg/ WoD threads are shit, and half because I wanna know how many other people went from Bloodlines to tabletop.
vtmb just might be my favorite game of all time but no, i don't play the tabletop. in fact i've never played a tabletop rpg in my whole life. no particular reason for it, i just never knew any tabletop nerds who could have gotten me into it. i'm a slav and i think that scene's generally not that big here. i guess i knew metalheads who could have introduced me to larpers who could have introduced me to ttrpg fans but that's way too many steps removed for me
I read and enjoyed all the core books and a dozen clan books and expansions, never played the tabletop... It wasn't like I read the books because of the videogame either,I read them cause I wanted to play the tabletop but I didn't have a any nerd friends, it was only years later that I discover that they made a video game out of it.
I read a bunch of other's World of Darkness RPGs without ever played a single session of it.
I once GMed a campaign with some friends I regularly run D&D with. They seemed to like it for the most part but we still ended up switching back to d&d after my campaign concluded.
The only lore I find interesting is the Vampire stuff for me, other stuff like Mage and Werewolf seem shit-tier, although I've only read the wiki on those, not actual lore books.
Old world of darkness had great lore, but no players by the time I was old enough to play it.
New world of darkness is very unappealing in every iteration other than Mage (which is not that great either).
started a campaign because of bloodlines using v20 with some anons since irl friends are 5egays who weren't sold on it, the first tabletop thing I've ever done so stumbling here and there but they've had fun with it
Just went through Night Road and other anons are right its a really fun experience. Don’t wanna spoil but your ghoul gf really can frick some shit up
Elena was pretty based, Vani was kinda alright too
>No meaningful choices the entire game because you're dominated >Get to the ending >Finally get 1 choice, choose an ally and an enemy >Go independant >In the end your options are 1.Here, have the key 2.No, I'm going to use the key 3.Frick you, I'm going to use the key
Where did it indicate that going independent would result in opening the coffin no matter what? How come you don't have the option to just take the key with you because you were warned a hundred times not to open the box? Frick this buggy piece of shit ""rpg"", I can't believe I got tricked by this board into wasting a week of my time.
You can walk away if you're independent? The independent option has you literally walk away and when the anarchs come and say "thanks for being in our side" you literally flip them off and walk away.
That's the one where you give Lacroix the key, which doesn't make sense. All we know is we shouldn't open the coffin not that it's full of c4, so potentially releasing an antedeluvian or giving him a powerful artifact or something wouldn't be good
Nobody says that.
People like the politics of VTMB.
People don't like the completely new and moronic current-day politics that are plaguing video games.
Get that through your thick fricking skull for once.
Rumors said the main quest literally had communist undertones, and judging by one of the main writer's bio, I wouldn't doubt it.
There's a difference between a setting with anarchists, and having a communist message, don't you think?
it's always been woke, stop trying to rewrite the game
Yeah I'm amazed at how most people can't see something so simple that for what it clearly is. Prolly cause things have become so toxic and most of the terminally online ppl now are zoomers who have grown up in that toxicity and have no idea that you can make jokes and not have it be a fricking statement.

Man I used to simp for Jeanette and VV back in the day, only on a recent playthrough did I realize, they're kind of unworthy b***hes and relished treating them like the dumbasses they are.
What are you fricking stupid? Anarchs in vtmb are looked at as stupid young idealists without a plan, the republican joke is just an innocent that even simpsons did and not an ideological tirade
mafioso trade unionist ventrue
high melee, intimidation (i know its useless it was for rp purposes only), fortitude and domination
went anarch just for the power vacuum and opened the coffin because i was a power hungry bastard
It's pretty cool, I like that it leans more into a tabletop session than a straight up CYOA, with an actual full stat sheet and all.
There's some clan reactivity here and there too, played through with a Nossie, Gangrel and Lasombra.
Guys, am I the only one who unironically wants a modern-game/return/revisit to Vampire the Dark Ages with a mix of Werewolf, Mage, and Hunter/Inquisitor??
they have some basic form of mummies and kuei-jin now but when I last played they were still pretty terrible quality, Kuei-jin were half broken and most of the events seemed like machine translations, really hope they put the time to bring the others up to the level of quality they have for basic Kindred
Sorry you're depressed anon. I don't want it though, vampires are the only thing that's kind of interesting to me in WoD, I'm not really into the other stuff.
Why do female Nos make me absolutely diamonds? That fall I took when I was in third grade fricked some shit up. I'd literally rather frick a Nos rather than a model.
>your build
This is impossible to explain in any meaningful way. There are like 30 different things you could level and 5 levels for each of those 30 things.
>impossible to explain in any meaningful way
You could just not be autistic and state your clan, which skills you prioritise and your general approach to the game's encounters. Like other people in the thread were able to do.
By hanging out with other nossies. We would hunt together, prank kindred (toreador). Making out in the sewers, playing with our pets, running chores while learning the history of our clan, making out in alleyways, learning how to program, helping fellow nossies, making out in the dilapidated shacks.
Just beat it for the first time, couple questions I was left with about the story: What killed all the people on the ship? And why did LaCroix's Dominate attempts at the end fail?
>Want to replay the game with another clan >Literally can't do it without the Malkavian dialogue >Do another Malk playthorugh instead
I should have given all the other clans a chance earlier...
I went Toreador first time because some anon recommended saving Malk for a second playthrough back in 2012. Can't play anything but Malk now though so same problem as you.
>unarmed with high social >toreador
its my first playthrough and the combat sucks but might switch to guns instad so it fits my prettyboy toreador larp better. they probably arent the type to get their knuckles bloody huh?
Everyone I knew online and IRL at the time when I got it made it very clear to me to save Malk/Nos for a 2nd playthrough because they changed the main gameplay loop in such an extreme way. So it was, in a sense, basically the DLC races.
>unarmed with high social >toreador
its my first playthrough and the combat sucks but might switch to guns instad so it fits my prettyboy toreador larp better. they probably arent the type to get their knuckles bloody huh?
That's just shitty stereotypes clouding your judgement. People have the wrong idea about Toreador being a clan of prettyboys that don't get dirty. A toreador might find aesthetically pleasing the sight of a massacre, dried blood on a wall or the mangled face of a once beautiful woman.
Play however you want, I personally can't stay away from the deagle in this game.
Genitorturers have strangely nice story. >pretty small band >industrial metal for pretty much only small BDSM crowd >Bloodlines happen >sudden spike in popularity >as a thanks, they make uncharacteristic goth metal song about vampires >it is really good and becomes popular too, widely lauded as a best song of the album
>big dommy mommy milkers of Genitorturers >goth milf of Lacuna Coil >qt schizo pixie of Chiasm
Even the soundtrack lineup is massive kino.
Society in VTM is just like ours but even more cynical. If I showed you allegedly live footage of a real vampire, you would just assume it's fake.
People who believe in vampire are mocked by public opnion just like in our world.
High profile individuals that speak about it or have some kind of proof are targeted by the Camarilla. With malkavians on their side is easy make every vampire believer seams batshit (pun intended) insane. Those that have solid proof of vampire existence are just killed and the evidence destroyed.
>High profile individuals that speak about it or have some kind of proof are targeted by the Camarilla.
Wouldn't it be really suspicious if high profile people talking about vampires kept disappearing or had weird circumstances surrounding them or their families? People already have the weirdest conspiracy theories for celebrities when something slightly strange is going on with them. How do vampires deal with them without making things suspicious?
Again I am not a lore expert but fricking magical brainwash, or some very few elite actually know vampires exist, and want in desperately.
You can give heart attacks or make yourself invisible to others, some magical brain wipe seems like super easy for a big Vamp.
I woudl love to play a game in this setting, where each mission you are a hunter and you have to plan hitman style how to infiltrate and kill vampires.
Dominate... I wanna say 3 lets you edit long term memory on the tabletop. Any moderately powerful Ventrue could cover up masquerade breaches with relative ease. Besides, high profile people die all the time, if you absolutely have to kill them, just make it look like a heart attack or plant some drugs on their body.
no? Look at the CIA or anyone who attempts to investigate child pornography rings - the media just pains them as morons and the herd laps it up, because people don't want to know
This, Vamps MIGHT be able to continue to exist on their own if they're extremely careful/plan things out, but large communities and most regular idiot vamps who just suck people off in side alleys are and will continue to be hunted down by exorcist types + the public will eventually be made fully aware of their existence rather than it just being a rumour/legend.
The population of vamps in the modern day will most likely be REALLY small, at least in regards to the ones that are able to avoid being killed within a few days/weeks.
Nah. They would get more involved with the political elite, offering the embrace at the end of their careers or extending life through ghouling.
Basically they would do what they have always done: entrench themselves among the nobility. It allows them to use mortal assets to hide their existence, without those assets even knowing.
Well, you have all the other VTM games (which are few), mainly Redemption and the CYOA games, from those I highly recommend all of them except sins of the sires. Other than that at the top of my head: >Total War: Warhammer. [Vampire Counts faction]. Very fun, may 2 or 3 screenshots. >Vampyr. Kinda shitty game, unironically made me install VTMB for the first time. >V Rising. Recently released survival sandbox game based on vampires, didn't try it yet because I hate early access garbage. >Modded Skyrim. Yup, I mean you could play vanilla but we all know how garbage the system is, Sacrosanct is pretty good with an age system, new powers, skill trees, etc.
Its now forgotten but even if very jank, vampire redemption was a very impressive game.
It made my mind go, " frick yes some sweet unreal engine or quake models but its a diablo action rpg". It also had a crazy modding scene with some cool models, coomer shit and online stuff you would see again only in NWN. I am getting old.
I'm not sure if I'm making it up or if it exists as an actual concept with its own name in VTM, but isn't there some kind of bond where a vampire becomes inexplicably infatuated with a human and goes out of their way to protect them and/or be close to them? Kind of like a Blood Bond, but in reverse and without any ritual. The trope has been used as a plot device in Kindred The Embraced and things like (*barf*) Twilight, so I'm not sure about VTM's stance on this.
I think there's nothing like this in VTM core books. Maybe some clanbook or expansion has something on those lines. My better guess would be the Toreador clanbook, as the toreador is the most mortal-centered clan.

Vampire The Requiem has a mechanic like this iirc
You can stay attached to your humanity by watching over a mortal from your past life
Isn't is called a Touchstone or something? This sounds vaguely familiar.
>Lore question:

I don't think there's anything like imprinting or whatever twilight called it in VTM.
Been building a Telyavelic Tremere (Presence instead of Dominate) character who doesn't tell anyone his bloodline/clan mostly out of principle, partly because he's a Tremere-outside-the-pyramid, but also partly because he's not 100% sure about it himself and doesn't know his sire. The fact he recoils at symbols of True Faith could lead to some interesting plot points (some might suspect him as a Baali). I picture him as a Beckett sort of character, a scholar and a recluse, but someone who specialises more in technology than the occult.
Meh, maybe one day I'll gather enough of the right kind of people to actually play it.
I kinda give bloodlines a pass because the game is pretty fun regardless of jank.
There is a charm to the game, which is almost unexplainable the unfinished nature even helps it. Enough to make me play it like 10 times now over the years. I usually stop at the final cab ride cause I know the endings.
Sure if the game was perfect it woudl have been too much, kinda like part immersive sim, part thief, part fps rpg.
These games are hard to make, so if the setting is nailed well, and the story beats and quests are good, then its enough for me.
Even more pro attempts like TES games, System Shock 2, Prey or Deus Ex have their own issues.
Dude i have the original cd which you cant even finish the game it crashes after killing bach. I know.
But works well enough for me, either melee, ranged and stealth. As I said the setting and cool quests even the computer ones kinda carry the game for me.
Absolutely anon, I still remember I was in love with the jank and world building, playing ventrue. I was very pissed. Thankfully the patch came a month later on magazines.
The game shipped broken.

not him, but can confirm
before they patched that out, you were able to get around the bug by typing out a console command that teleported you in front of the venture tower with a completed quest marker for the bach quest
Funny to see someone putting "SS2" and "actually works" in the same sentence.
It's one of the most crash-happy games I know. Have played it on many different hardware/OS configs through the decades and it has never gotten through loading screens reliably since the winXP era.
If I recall correctly
Max guns
max charm/social?
I used a katana alot too.
Ventrue, someone high class.
Literally everything I wish I was instead of some broke, ugly social reject.
Is Animalism any good? I want to do a Nosferatu playthrough centered around that discipline, It seems like an interesting alternative to Thaumaturgy, but if Bloodsucker Communion doesn't have an effect on bosses then I don't really see the point, may as well just go full melee or guns.
Burrowing Beetle can be spammed on bosses unless you're playing with the plus patch and that slow casting animation. It does good damage and although you don't get blood back you can use blood bags to keep it up. I wouldn't entirely rely on it for combat but when mixed with melee it's pretty fun. I enjoyed my Gangrel playthrough where I had a few points in Fortitude and Protean then the rest in Animalism.
That and the Colt Anaconda are both a lot of fun when set to full auto. I kind of wish getting a higher firearms skill would let you reload faster though.
>melee
I was repulsed by its implementation in the game. >forced thrid-person >plays like crap >those animations
They should have just do it the way Morrowind did it. In any case, its guns for me.
Lol why would you say mods. Ventrue is literally rich white guys with guns. They're the definition of white privilege and a lot of people like playing as them. I'm white so I like to model my character after myself. Can't do that with Bruja because they only gave 1 model per clan.
Eh I'd still know the cannon bruja is a ghetto thug. A mod like that is essentially a guy wearing a dress and saying they're a woman. Deep down it's just a lie.
I only ever have fun playing Malkavian. Dementation is great. My last game was Tremere and I had to force myself to sit through it. Shit was so fricking boring.
>Melee Tremere, Mixing in melee attack while waiting for blood strike to refund their cost.
Finally worked up the motivation for a 2nd run after years and just hit chinatown. Funnily enough I chose tremere to try and play as far from the gangrel rip n tear playstyle that was my first run but I guess I just can't stay away from the melee.
The Final Nights is the other big one. There's also Antitribu but I've never tried it, it seems to me like it fricks with the game by taking the braindead combat slog from the endgame levels and making the entire game that.
Well, there are several reasons, some in-lore some about out of character stuff. >Not originally vampires
Common knowledge but Tremere are basically a Tzimisce bloodline, they self created themselves through the sacrifice of Tzimisce elders which made the fiends go all out on a war against them. >Diablerist origins
When other vampires refused to interact with them since they were not originally cainites, Tremere the founder diablerized Saulot (Salubri antedeluvian and closest thing to vampire-christ) and instantly went into torpor (super-coma) >Creators of Gargoyles
Since they were on an all-out war against the Tzimisce, Tremere used their magic in order to create super soldiers that would defend them. Gargoyles are actually created with the flesh and blood Gangrel, Nosferatu and the like, sacrificed in order to create the stone sentinels. Most vampires don't trust the tremere's secrecy with their magic and this is a good reason to not do so. >Rising to the top
Tremere are extremely powerful in the modern nights before the fall of Vienna. They are one of the most influential clans despite not being one of the OG13 and people both respect and distrust them because of their speedy success. >Originally mages
In-game mages despise them. Out of game ones too, since Tremere had such a good toolkit with Thaumaturgy most players would be obnoxious minmaxers or munchkins about it, magegays are also exactly like this so there's tension over who would win and starts shitfling wars. Other types of players also hate this homosexualry so they bash Tremere for the sins of the vocal few.
Nah, I'm a huge Tremere fanboy and most of the stuff I wrote is why I like them. In fact, Tremere, Tzimisce and Salubri are my favorite clans and they're all tied together.
Based on this thread it seems that installing Clan Quest mod and Final Nights mod is a worthwile endeavor. Do I need a separate game install for both? Does WESP go with any of them? Anything else I need to keep in mind?
Each mod is a standalone installation and you should never mix mods if you don't know what you're doing. I've only ever played CQM but it does have a version of the plus patch available, if you want to make your game worse that way. Otherwise it's patched and ready to go.
>plus patch available, if you want to make your game worse
What's up with the plus patch? I keep seeing it being shit on but restored content is usually praised.
I technically have it installed on my PC as a part of the Unofficial Patch mod, but I've never used it only the basic patch part witch I was told I needed to get the game to work on a modern PC.
Because it's not just a restored content patch, Wesp pretends it is to lure in people into playing his mod while saying he's only following Troika's true "vision". Shit like rebalancing the game and the constant fricking updates should already give you a clue that the Plus Patch is a constant jerk off and Wesp an autistic moron.
But is the Basic Patch still good?
I never played VtMB back in the day so I've always used the basic patch for my playthroughs, is there another one I should be using instead?
The true patch is the purist choice, only fixes bugs. As for the CQM, it comes with an earlier version of the Unofficial Patch edited because of artistic differences, which should also give you a clue about the shitfest that is actually going on with this fricking 20 year old game

>true patch
You can use whatever patch you like of course (and the unofficial patch has definitely gone off the rails), but you can't run down Wesp and his no-life autistic nonsense just to promote Tessera's megalomaniacal troony ass.
I honestly never gave a damn about the drama. I used wesp and I honestly found the additional shit like the library mission quite interesting.
Its not like the main game is more polished.
Its the usual shit, of course I dont recommend deus ex revision maps before trying the vanilla game. But honestly in revision I see a lot of shit added that looks cool and something the devs woudl probably do if they had the time.
I'm looking to a challenge run, any ideas? Maybe something like a minimal XP run where I play in the way that would give me the least total XP. It would be a challenge both in character building and pathing through the game.
I call my build "Blade cosplay", on account of focusing on melee with a katana + max Fortitude, and the strongest armor set for Ventrue is a leather trenchcoat.
I like Jason Carl worldbuilding and random interactions between side characters. Also frick Fuego, she got scoot free from that low humanity kill streak.
Anything not Trannere.
Obsessed and obese
>t. seething Trannere
Tremere is a israelite class that stabs people in the back and act like they're the victim.
>anon makes an offhand comment about trannies
>trannies reveal themselves by seething for no reason
Sasuga
Obsessed.
>anon can't stop obsessing about trannies in unrelated threads
>gets called out
>doubles down
It's time to stop fetishising mutaliated genitals and start playing some VtM, Anon.
>Why would tremere be troony?
Because the Jyhad continues still and even Ganker shitposters feel the need to obey the elders through petty flamewar
Jej
Currently playing a persuasive Malkavian with a bit of guns/dementation. Previous/first playthrough was a brawler brujah with maxed intimidate and a fair amount of hacking. God the end game was a slog with him, thankfully Beckett taught me Fortitude at the very least.
>Tremere
>Not israelites
>being such a mental cripple that you cannot help but drag your /misc/ obsession into everything imaginable
Underappreciated post. Here's a (You) for your troubles mind stranger.
You will never have actual players, magegay. Your setting is /nogames/: the role playing game.
I will always be Tremere because of posts like this.
I mean if Bloodlines and the random stuff I read from this setting over the years is that the fun is all about being curse, so I want to be extra curse. And still try to survive.
>so I want to be extra curse.
Tremere are one of the least cursed clans
good post, i like it very much
Ventrue are whites (labeled as the rich and privileged and The Man and cause of everyone's problem), Tremere are israelites.
>Gangreis look like pot smoking hippie morons
This is how 4th gen gangrel Odin the All-High looks like. Very hippie indeed.
>the All-High
Sounds hippy to me.
I loved how Gangrel integrated into Nordic countries and their mythology during the Dark Ages.
>Odin is a Gangrel
Tremere would be a better fit.
The tremeres just weren't around in those ancient times, the tremeres popped up during the end of the dark ages
>Gangreis look like pot smoking hippie morons
What about Beckett, he's a Gangrel and has one of the best designs in the game.
he got style i give him that
He is canonically a Malkav that dialberised some Gangrels. And can actually teach you Protean discipline too, if I remember correctly.
that's just headcanon based on his adoptive sire
official rules in the books state he is a gangrel
He got cat eyes, there's a reason he's called "catboy beckett" by the community
homie you better turn with some proofs because that's one of the most bs statements I've ever red, hombre even has them permanent cat eyes, proof of his gangrel blood
Yeah. I haven't seen the long haired trenchcoat guy with shades before.
If any clan would have high influx of trannies it would be Brujah, Tremere are ultra israelites, tho.
>How did it all go so wrong?
In us vs them mentality there is no place for evil, there is only THE MESSAGE that must be pushed.
Calm down Vladislav
>t. Assamite
I found the biggest slogs as straight unarmed to be the Society of Leopold mission and the Kuei Jin mission (that one was really bad), everything else was alright. I think I may have had to whip out the flamethrower, despite no points in ranged, for the kuei jin boss though
FPWP
Not nice senpai.
Toreador
Guns = 10/10
Sneak/lockpicking/hacking = 10/10
Social = 10/10
Barely any disciplines.
i went for the brujah brooler, should have picked nosferatu for the proper self insert tbh
average Ganker user
https://debofnight.com/
I'll leave this here in case anyone needs it for comfy purposes.
Every time there is a heavy thunderstorm around here I turn this on. I want to go back bros
>why are we all here
>If you only knew how bad things really are
>full brawl god
>thicc gangrel
My last playthrough was a melee Gangrel, my next one is probably going to be an unarmed Brujah but I'm not sure how well hand-to-hand holds up in the end game. I would like to try a gun Toreador at some point as well.
Man I love that gif
>I would like to try a gun Toreador at some point as well.
Basically playing Da Matrix.
did gun toreador for my first playthrough, was really fun, would recommend
Without attempting at being facetious, it's strange reading about people actually trying builds in VtMB. The core gameplay is so lacklustre and unfun that the only viable build i high Persuasion and Seduction. The combat, stealth, anything other thank walking around and talking to people is a horrible chore and nothing can fix it. Arcanum is even worse. You talk about VtMB as if it's Underrail or Knights of Chalice.
Not everyone enjoys being a prostitute like you, anon. Some people like gunning things and want to do so as effectively as possible, some people like good old face-to-face fisticuffs and get their kicks when they outclass their opponents (with weapon apocalypse mod especially), et. c.
Completely filtered.
>melee Gangrel
>unarmed Brujah
Aren't you supposed to do the opposite?
Yes. Unarmed needs protean discipline.
Brujas get a bit easier time feeding, that's all.
>me and the lads shitposting
>You have been visited by Happy Orvus
>You will get much dubs very soon
>You have been visited by the First among Equals
>A curse upon thee and thine digits
Tzimisce Chads > Tremere Chuds
get out of the thread satan
What the frick was HIS problem?
Played so many rape eroges while on torpor that he thought he could rape his grandsires
You mean if I play enough Illusion games I'll become so coom-brained that I'll become a monstrous antediluvian devourer?
Yes
>The lads and me snuck into major corporation just to hack into their Twitter accound and post about them being gay
Malkavian
10/10 Public Masturbation
Why are so many incels Toreador players? How can they cope with the fact they are ugly, deformed sexless freaks in real life but in games they roleplay they are super romantic charming handsome men? (although i should change that men for "women" considering most of them roleplay they have a bleeding front hole)
I just think the idea of magically seducing women is kinda hot
Doing a self insert playthrough so I'm gangrel.
Obfuscation
Malkavian
I'm BPD irl.
Lie, spill secrets, all of that.
>full unarmed
>maxed protean and fortitude
>only social skill is intimidate
>antisocial butthole with a deathwish
>opened the box
I still don't even know what the deal is with the Giovannis because after being turned away I just kicked the door down and killed everyone inside on my way to the sarcophagus. I would do another playthrough to see, but I'd probably just end up playing the exact same character again like I always do in RPGs
>opened the box
Never go full moron man
>butthole with a deathwish
He got what he wanted it seems so is it still a moron?
He wants what a moron wants.
He's a moron that ultimately won at life
I guarantee you that at least 90% of first time players open the box.
The game tempts you too hard not to.
>vampires
>condoms
she doesn't want to become a plaguebearer
I don't think Vampires are affected by STDs.
They can spread them, though.
If they sleep around daily, then probably.
If it's once in a while, they should be safe though.
Herpes is forever
If it can't integrate in the genome of your living cells, it isn't.
The nosferatu curse would keep that and not cure it.
>sleep around
They can spread by feeding.
Twilight fricked us all.
>immune to disease
>can't get preggers
Condom..why?
to disease
They might not be affected by disease but they can still carry and spread it. Spreading disease is a good way to get unwanted attention and trouble.
The only Gangrel ending is giving the middle finger to Nines.
Gun
Malcovian for the invisibility so i can skip fight to save ammo
> Nosferatu
> Obsfucate and potence. And dip points into computers, melee and stealth.
Best clan imo.
But, there's some "standard powers", described in the books:
Shape your fingerbone into the only key to open all your secrets behind that door or inside that box or whatever.
>an eye and a mouth on your hand
Good thing vamps lose their libido, huh.
This puts me at ease, I'm not nearly coombrained enough to have come up with this.
Sounds OP as heck
You calling me a gay you rat bastard?
>Move the heart down to the pelvis, so anyone wanting to stake you would miss.
>Lower the brain and place it in the chest, so decapitation wouldn’t cause Final Death.
so if someone stakes you they'd hit your brain
>so if someone stakes you they'd hit your brain
Yeah but that's not going to send you into torpor like with the heart.
>Max Gun/ Max Obfuscate/ Max Hacking/ Max Security
> Nastyratu
They've done us dirty boys. First they canonically nuked our SCHREKNET, then they turned us into fake nail/teeth wearing gayboys. May this franchise rot in hell.
We will always have Bloodlines.
I SAID HEY
WHAT'S GOING ON
Sex with fem ventrue.
>Gangrel
>Melee Protean build
Whenever I go back to it after a long time it's a Protean build Gangrel all the way. Comfiest experience.
How many of you have actually played the tabletop? I ask half because the /tg/ WoD threads are shit, and half because I wanna know how many other people went from Bloodlines to tabletop.
This is the videogame rpg board.
go back >>>/tg/ for tabletop
Are you moronic?
I have a passing interest in the tabletop's lore but I haven't played it. Not that I've really seen many LFG ads for it the first place.
>the /tg/ WoD threads are shit
The threads here are worse and slower
vtmb just might be my favorite game of all time but no, i don't play the tabletop. in fact i've never played a tabletop rpg in my whole life. no particular reason for it, i just never knew any tabletop nerds who could have gotten me into it. i'm a slav and i think that scene's generally not that big here. i guess i knew metalheads who could have introduced me to larpers who could have introduced me to ttrpg fans but that's way too many steps removed for me
you could always try to find a group online anon, you might have fun
I've half laid out a couple of campaigns I came up with looking at sourcebooks and stuff, they're interesting to me. I've never played though.
I've been the Storyteller for two campaigns. I pirated the books before pirating the game, but played the video game before playing the tabletop game.
i played a little, i'd like to find a consistant group, it was a lot of fun
i would recommend the 20th anniversary edition over the current edition if you wanna look into it
I find OWoD lore is interesting and have read most of the books but tabletop homosexualry is gay
The only lore I find interesting is the Vampire stuff for me, other stuff like Mage and Werewolf seem shit-tier, although I've only read the wiki on those, not actual lore books.
Old world of darkness had great lore, but no players by the time I was old enough to play it.
New world of darkness is very unappealing in every iteration other than Mage (which is not that great either).
started a campaign because of bloodlines using v20 with some anons since irl friends are 5egays who weren't sold on it, the first tabletop thing I've ever done so stumbling here and there but they've had fun with it
Elena was pretty based, Vani was kinda alright too
Nosferatu because they look like me,
Guns and obfuscate.
Malkavian
I am gone
I just want a WoD mmo bros....
I'd settle for a WoD isometric ROG though.
>No meaningful choices the entire game because you're dominated
>Get to the ending
>Finally get 1 choice, choose an ally and an enemy
>Go independant
>In the end your options are 1.Here, have the key 2.No, I'm going to use the key 3.Frick you, I'm going to use the key
Where did it indicate that going independent would result in opening the coffin no matter what? How come you don't have the option to just take the key with you because you were warned a hundred times not to open the box? Frick this buggy piece of shit ""rpg"", I can't believe I got tricked by this board into wasting a week of my time.
you're just mad you got pranked like a dummy
I 100% would've picked walk away/kill lacroix/destroy or throw away the key or coffin if any of those was an option
You can walk away if you're independent? The independent option has you literally walk away and when the anarchs come and say "thanks for being in our side" you literally flip them off and walk away.
That's the one where you give Lacroix the key, which doesn't make sense. All we know is we shouldn't open the coffin not that it's full of c4, so potentially releasing an antedeluvian or giving him a powerful artifact or something wouldn't be good
malkavian with fireaxe
I tried playing this game but I just can't enjoy linear railroaded RPGs.
Name a non-linear RPG that isn't filled with repetitive grinding monster battles in the "open-world" areas.
.
Nobody says that.
People like the politics of VTMB.
People don't like the completely new and moronic current-day politics that are plaguing video games.
Get that through your thick fricking skull for once.
It's the same politics
Horseshoeing non-binary and pedofilic agenda vs 2000s vanilla political humor...
HMMMMMMMMMM...
Yup, totally the same.
it's always been woke, stop trying to rewrite the game
>then: good ending is overcoming divisive politics
>now: good ending is joining (my political group)
Yeah I'm amazed at how most people can't see something so simple that for what it clearly is. Prolly cause things have become so toxic and most of the terminally online ppl now are zoomers who have grown up in that toxicity and have no idea that you can make jokes and not have it be a fricking statement.
Rumors said the main quest literally had communist undertones, and judging by one of the main writer's bio, I wouldn't doubt it.
There's a difference between a setting with anarchists, and having a communist message, don't you think?
the first game was pretty shamelessly pro-Anarch
nonetheless caine likes strauss doesnt he?
It just said the Anarchs were better than LaCroix. Strauss was portrayed as a bit better than the Hollywood Anarchs.
Then why don't I like them.
because there are better waifus than damsel these days
Take that back
Man I used to simp for Jeanette and VV back in the day, only on a recent playthrough did I realize, they're kind of unworthy b***hes and relished treating them like the dumbasses they are.
Pisha is the only kindred that deserves your love
I live to serve Pisha
what kind of mentally ill freak makes these images
What are you fricking stupid? Anarchs in vtmb are looked at as stupid young idealists without a plan, the republican joke is just an innocent that even simpsons did and not an ideological tirade
mafioso trade unionist ventrue
high melee, intimidation (i know its useless it was for rp purposes only), fortitude and domination
went anarch just for the power vacuum and opened the coffin because i was a power hungry bastard
> Vtmb thread
Time to proselytize. Has any of you played the BEST vtm text game of the franchise? Night Road?
I did, but what is wrong with you, do you enjoy losing your eyesight? Use the night mode version man, we are all kindred here
words cannot describe how much I want her to step on me holy shit
She is the gentle mommy type though (at least if she's your sire)
Millicent is best sire. I love b***hing about the Camarilla together with my sweet granny!
Played the Demo and I liked it, but I'm waiting for it to go on sale so I can grab it + all the clan DLC at once for a little cheaper.
I have, however, played Parliament of Knives and that was kino
Night Road was on sale a month ago. I bought it, played as a Tremere... got wasted by the SI on about chapter 12.
This will never happen and it makes me depressed.
Crusader Kingd III has a Princes of Darkness mod. It was just vampire but the speed at which the devbuild is churning out other splats is ridiculous.
they have some basic form of mummies and kuei-jin now but when I last played they were still pretty terrible quality, Kuei-jin were half broken and most of the events seemed like machine translations, really hope they put the time to bring the others up to the level of quality they have for basic Kindred
Sorry you're depressed anon. I don't want it though, vampires are the only thing that's kind of interesting to me in WoD, I'm not really into the other stuff.
For me, it's the Nosferatu.
based
Why do female Nos make me absolutely diamonds? That fall I took when I was in third grade fricked some shit up. I'd literally rather frick a Nos rather than a model.
you're weird, but the Night Road nosgirl had some booba
Yes, I am. Don't care. Post more Nos breasts.
Thank you, love you.
you are something else my man
I CAN'T TAKE IT
TAKE IT
>your build
This is impossible to explain in any meaningful way. There are like 30 different things you could level and 5 levels for each of those 30 things.
>impossible to explain in any meaningful way
You could just not be autistic and state your clan, which skills you prioritise and your general approach to the game's encounters. Like other people in the thread were able to do.
lots of nossies ITT, wonder how anons would deal with being sewer rats after the fall of schrecknet
It'd be a nice peaceful existence still, I'd say. But I'd wager that nossies have LAN communities/forums set up anyway. Maybe per city or per suburb.
Jack did. It was just a prank, bro.
Was it Jack? Or was it Caine.
Caine doesn't really seem to give enough of a shit to kill a bunch of people for a joke anymore
Jack, Caine is more of a 'sit back and watch over things' type. At most Jack was working under vague-ish orders from Caine.
You become too powerful for it to work.
LaCroix botched his roll, because he became desperate
>Want to replay the game with another clan
>Literally can't do it without the Malkavian dialogue
>Do another Malk playthorugh instead
I should have given all the other clans a chance earlier...
I went Toreador first time because some anon recommended saving Malk for a second playthrough back in 2012. Can't play anything but Malk now though so same problem as you.
Took the gun pill not too long ago, the gameplay is much better if you mostly ignore melee for firearms.
meant for
You're still missing Nossie playthrough, it's the other significant gameplay change. Get to it. Reinstall.
Everyone I knew online and IRL at the time when I got it made it very clear to me to save Malk/Nos for a 2nd playthrough because they changed the main gameplay loop in such an extreme way. So it was, in a sense, basically the DLC races.
>unarmed with high social
>toreador
its my first playthrough and the combat sucks but might switch to guns instad so it fits my prettyboy toreador larp better. they probably arent the type to get their knuckles bloody huh?
That's just shitty stereotypes clouding your judgement. People have the wrong idea about Toreador being a clan of prettyboys that don't get dirty. A toreador might find aesthetically pleasing the sight of a massacre, dried blood on a wall or the mangled face of a once beautiful woman.
Play however you want, I personally can't stay away from the deagle in this game.
Guns and celerity are a fun combo.
I AM THE LECHER b***h
AND I WEAR THE X OF CASTIGATION
I AM THE prostitute TO THE EXTREME
>big dommy mommy milkers of Genitorturers

>industrial metal for pretty much only small BDSM crowd
>Bloodlines happen
>sudden spike in popularity
>as a thanks, they make uncharacteristic goth metal song about vampires
>it is really good and becomes popular too, widely lauded as a best song of the album
Darling Violetta singer is also cute.
I LOVE VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE!
and i am VERY SAD that the Bloodlines SEQUEL probably won't be VERY GOOD!
i am also SAD that the NEWEST ITERATION of the TTRPG is also NOT GOOD!

Nooo, you can't make me!
PLEASE I BEG YOU
I always go Malkavian.
There have been some fun vampire threads on this board in the past, it's been so long since VtM threads reached peak comfy. They're boring and slow.
Is that german patch guy still making patches for it
Yeah and I hate him for it
Really? Still? Hasn't it been a decade since he transcended the thing being a "patch"?
How the hell do vampires keep their masquerade up in a world where everyone has camera in their pocket and surveillance is everywhere?
They don't, the second inquisition are exterminating them
>V5
yawn
Society in VTM is just like ours but even more cynical. If I showed you allegedly live footage of a real vampire, you would just assume it's fake.
People who believe in vampire are mocked by public opnion just like in our world.
High profile individuals that speak about it or have some kind of proof are targeted by the Camarilla. With malkavians on their side is easy make every vampire believer seams batshit (pun intended) insane. Those that have solid proof of vampire existence are just killed and the evidence destroyed.
One could adjust the setting and keep and the politics by making all clans look muhc more human and making them pass for humans more easily.
I mean in a modern society even "poor" vampires dont need to kill and can get access to good blood.
But I am no lore expert.
cant wait to see how fricked the sequel is.
Besides, high profile people die all the time, if you absolutely have to kill them, just make it look like a heart attack or plant some drugs on their body.
no? Look at the CIA or anyone who attempts to investigate child pornography rings - the media just pains them as morons and the herd laps it up, because people don't want to know
"The masquerade is doomed to fail soon because of recent changes in technology" has been a relatively common theme in the setting for a long time
This, Vamps MIGHT be able to continue to exist on their own if they're extremely careful/plan things out, but large communities and most regular idiot vamps who just suck people off in side alleys are and will continue to be hunted down by exorcist types + the public will eventually be made fully aware of their existence rather than it just being a rumour/legend.
The setting was made when cameras were about to become affordable for everyone. 'Shit's coming to a head soon' is kind of a theme in VTM.
Nosferatu, brawler + intimidate
I need to finish my playthrough, never beaten this game.
What other games are there where I can play as a vampire which are good?
Well, you have all the other VTM games (which are few), mainly Redemption and the CYOA games, from those I highly recommend all of them except sins of the sires. Other than that at the top of my head:
>Total War: Warhammer.
Well, only decent vampire counts screenshot I have from TWWH is this little group of raised skellies ready to tear some shit
Is VTMB still the king for physically expressive characters?
Also: (currently)
Brujah
Melee
I have no idea what I'm doing since this is my first time, still early. Still in the first zone.
>Is VTMB still the king for physically expressive characters
Yes, unfortunately.
>Lore question:
I don't think there's anything like imprinting or whatever twilight called it in VTM.
>*barf*
>Twilight
You are cringe, Twilight is based.
Unlike VtMB though gameplay in SS2 and DX actually works.
Dude i have the original cd which you cant even finish the game it crashes after killing bach. I know.
But works well enough for me, either melee, ranged and stealth. As I said the setting and cool quests even the computer ones kinda carry the game for me.
WTF are you killing Bach for? You don't deserve to finish the game for that.
I have the original CD, played it in 2004 everything ran smoothly with no bugs.
Nope there was a notorious game breaking bug after you killed bach and saved the scientist, the game loading crashed once you got onto the boat.
This sounds familiar. I believe it.
Not that anon.
It works normally ever since the dark engine got that update anon.
And before that it just needed a patch. Its on you.
Sneaky, invisible Malkavian because i like to skip the shitty fricking combat.
Do you prefer guns or melee?
guns
the SPAS-15 is so much fun
That and the Colt Anaconda are both a lot of fun when set to full auto. I kind of wish getting a higher firearms skill would let you reload faster though.
my african american friend
>He didn't write "lilith" on that terminal.
>plus patch
Guns. Install Arsenal Mod.
Melee with Ventrue
Guns with everything else, especially Malkavian.
melee because I like actually being able to kill things without mods
>melee
I was repulsed by its implementation in the game.
>forced thrid-person
>plays like crap
>those animations
They should have just do it the way Morrowind did it. In any case, its guns for me.
I'd prefer to melee Damsel, if you know what I mean.
I too would also like to beat the shit out of pinko anarch such like her
>White Privilege
>Ventrue
Bruja would be cool if they didn't make the character model a black thug gangster.
Mods
Although I never really played Brujah, I think the only notable thing is some anarchs referencing it.
At least with ventrue people think you are classy rich, all others even tremere are poor.
I always liked playing with the ventrue model jacket modded for my clan.
Lol why would you say mods. Ventrue is literally rich white guys with guns. They're the definition of white privilege and a lot of people like playing as them. I'm white so I like to model my character after myself. Can't do that with Bruja because they only gave 1 model per clan.
I meant use mods.
To play as wtv model you want as brujah. There are retextures as well for the brujah homie.
Jesus Christ anon take it easy.
Eh I'd still know the cannon bruja is a ghetto thug. A mod like that is essentially a guy wearing a dress and saying they're a woman. Deep down it's just a lie.
Nobody ever mentions your raceskin while playing brujah.
They don't have to. I know that the cannon Bruja is a thug so even if I reskin him he's still a thug.
Anon its just a skin, you can be wtv fricking model you want.
What about you go back to your homosexual containment board, slick.
brujah would never be cool
Imagine being as cucked as a Tremere.
I do wonder how much of a mess bloodlines 2 will be.
Hopefully they'll just let it die. The fricking IP is literally cursed.
I am just surprised they picked it up again.
Even if they are turning it into call of duty Kindredzone they must not be aware of the immersive sim curse.
I only ever have fun playing Malkavian. Dementation is great. My last game was Tremere and I had to force myself to sit through it. Shit was so fricking boring.
I'm like the complete opposite of you, ain't that funny?
What I really wanted is a hunterhitman game were I play as badass hunter with true faith.
( Although some vamps also had true faith which is interesting.)
Anyway kill some vampires, and find out their holes. Stake a ventrue on top of his corporate tower, stake some fricking anarchs near the beach.
So which mod should I chose for my next playthrough after finishing the game with UP and Clan Quest?
horrible nosferatu outfit
The Final Nights is the other big one. There's also Antitribu but I've never tried it, it seems to me like it fricks with the game by taking the braindead combat slog from the endgame levels and making the entire game that.
>Malkavian female
>Optimized dementation/stealth build
why does everyone hate Tremere and why are they trannies I thought they were cool
I've only played bloodlines and know nothing about the deeper lore
They're just coping because their clans are not as cool.
When other vampires refused to interact with them since they were not originally cainites, Tremere the founder diablerized Saulot (Salubri antedeluvian and closest thing to vampire-christ) and instantly went into torpor (super-coma)
>Creators of Gargoyles
Other types of players also hate this homosexualry so they bash Tremere for the sins of the vocal few.
this reads like a massive wall of cope because a Tremere can use his cool blood magic to pop a boner to end all boners
Nah, I'm a huge Tremere fanboy and most of the stuff I wrote is why I like them. In fact, Tremere, Tzimisce and Salubri are my favorite clans and they're all tied together.
>and instantly went into torpor
The image of that is still funny. He thought he was going to get ultimate power but turned into an immortal vegetable.
As for the CQM, it comes with an earlier version of the Unofficial Patch edited because of artistic differences, which should also give you a clue about the shitfest that is actually going on with this fricking 20 year old game
>true patch
You can use whatever patch you like of course (and the unofficial patch has definitely gone off the rails), but you can't run down Wesp and his no-life autistic nonsense just to promote Tessera's megalomaniacal troony ass.
http://www.tessmage.com/forum/index.php?topic=58452.0
Just went through Night Road and other anons are right its a really fun experience. Don’t wanna spoil but your ghoul gf really can frick some shit up
I honestly never gave a damn about the drama.
Hong Kong for example was much bigger
I'm looking to a challenge run, any ideas? Maybe something like a minimal XP run where I play in the way that would give me the least total XP. It would be a challenge both in character building and pathing through the game.
I call my build "Blade cosplay", on account of focusing on melee with a katana + max Fortitude, and the strongest armor set for Ventrue is a leather trenchcoat.
High charisma Giovanni LARPing as a Toreador until I get to the mansion and the family welcomes me with open arms.
anyone watching New York by Night ?
https://www.twitch.tv/worldofdarkness
I like Jason Carl worldbuilding and random interactions between side characters. Also frick Fuego, she got scoot free from that low humanity kill streak.
