Wait, hold on a second. I just realized that most of the Pokémon protagonists just basically go around being bums when they're like ten to twelve. Does that mean that they just stop learning stuff at like a 4th grade level of education? So most of them grow up to be barely functionally literate and unable to do basic math?
In the world of Pokemon, anything possible!
>4th grade level of education
>barely functionally literate and unable to do basic math
Only in America
>Only in America
>The first four generations are set in Japan
Ok
Learn to read context fricking moron.
You're exemplary of my point.
Learn to eat ass properly homosexual
kys gay
you first israelite
Black personhomosexual
trapBlack personbitch
>still responding with tired zoomer phrases
>still responding at all
drink bleach
Eat tide pods zoomie
Eat shit porch monkey
>Getting this mad over a failed education
Only in America
>getting this mad over getting called out
Only with Autists
This is the consequence of Americans not being expected to to parse a single paragraph's subject matter or interpret a simple book like Of Mice And Men until highschool.
Nail on the head, kids are a frickton smarter than people think they are. I bet I could teach a group of second grade kids multiplication, division, algebra, and ratios in a fortnight.
I bet you'd break down in a week while the children in your class shit all over you
>only in America
Maybe I don't get this cuz I went to a private school but I was definitely literate by 4th grade. In fifth grade and above it took me a lot of willpower to not correct others when they read a word wrong.
Gratz, you have a triple digit IQ, unlike this sad fellow
Are you having a stroke?
>it takes a higher intellect to press a button and spin the bing bing wahoo machine to get lined up symbols
>this is what mongoloids truly believe
Kek
You don't understand why kids aren't allowed to play slots, which puts you in line with the average American
Go ahead buddy, I'm sure that'll pan out well for you
Pretty sure he's imagining white kids here, not monkeys.
At that age they're all monkeys
Who are you quoting?
>Formal education ends before fifth grade.
>The right to bear superpowered animals as weapons is almost completely unregulated beyond a six carry limit.
>Most people go out into the woods and fend for themselves for a while.
>Everybody is armed on the regular, including children as young as toddlers.
>Everything is settled with 1v1 duels, including combatting terrorism.
>Don't need a license for flying transportation, just need a pokemon that knows fly.
If it wasn't for the free healthcare, I'd say it was a rural man's wet dream
>>Don't need a license for flying transportation
You do, it's the gym badge
>free healthcare
everybody old enough to have a job and pay taxes knows IRL "free healthcare" is ~40% of your income going to taxes so jobless brown immigrants that hate you and want you dead can receive priority healthcare at no cost to themselves while you wait 18 months for an MRI or life-altering surgery
healthcare in pokemon is just a matter of an electrical bill, it may as well be magic, only the most rural "towns" consisting of 4 single family households and nothing else lack a pokecenter and its magical "perfectly heal any pokemon of any ailment in 5 seconds" machine operated by a fricking cloned nurse
and even the electricity bill is ambiguous, a fricking magnemite could probably power a pokecenter for the daily cost of whatever the pokemon equivalent of dog food is
That's the most deranged pile of shit I've read all day, fitting for a nation of illiterate mutts though
>~40% of your income going to taxes so jobless brown immigrants that hate you and want you dead can receive priority healthcare at no cost to themselves while you wait 18 months for an MRI or life-altering surgery
Don't forget fat people, we have an excess of both.
Aki Lucky!
They probably cram everything they need to live in the few years that they're in school. Remember than humanity lived perfectly fine for thousands of years without it and a majority of whats taught in schools these days isn't necessary information.
Schooling definitely exists, or at least some formal education since they have professors, scientists and such. And lass usually wears some sort of school uniform. It just seems like most people choose to stop whenever they feel like it. I do wonder what the mean age they stop going to school is, and whether the protags end up relatively uneducated compared to a real-life person. Like, could May get her GED if she wanted to? Could Rosa do a desk job that involved writing reports and looking at spreadsheets and shit like that?
It's possible they live in a world where the nation they are a part of is actually trying to help them and promote a lifestyle rather than milk everyone for money and yaches.
They probably have tailored educations and can come back when they need to, less stigma for age based education, more of a cultural focus on helping on another.
Modern society wants your day scheduled 9-5 for life to exploit you, but why would I be beholden to that when I can just round up a pickup truck full of magikarp and drive it into congress and unleash a 100 gyarados on tyrannical people.
The pokemon world has a massive amount of tech and super powers (pokemon) that make basic life easier, and you can always just go into the wild and build a team. Hell, legendary pokemon don't put up with the bad vibe energy from evil people, so you have a lot of good people surviving and reproducing instead of scumbags and other undesirable. People are probably just smarter and stronger too thanks to pokeselection.
Working for a professor like Oak makes more sense as a school leaver apprenticeship
they considered to be adults at 10 years old and even can get married if they want to.
Is that still canon?
It was a Shudo dark=mature bullshit bit from one of the plethora of early manga, I think the one with the Haunter that graphically suicided. Its canonicity is very much tied to that highly abnormal continuity.
Frick you TPCI bootlicker, Marin is a real Pokèmon.
School is just prison but for kids. You can teach a child everything they'll ever need to know by 10 and then put them to work and they'll turn out perfectly fine.
>t. sweatshop manager
Yeah, I want kids to gain real life experience instead of being babysat by some academic reject for 13 years.
Cry about it.
I got muh real life experience with higher education
No you didn't. Most of you just end up getting another generic service job anyway. And even then, your development was stunted (as your ideology clearly shows) by waiting way too long to get any "real life experience".
>No you didn't
Already stopped reading
>Yeah I want kids to be dumb morons that live and die in blue collar work.
>I wasted the free education that hundreds of generations of people would have killed for and therefore no one else should have the chance to try.
People like you are absolutely the scum of the earth, do the entire species a favor and remove yourself from the genepool you fricking waste of skin.
>still immediately replies back
kek
what kind of remedial-ass 4th grade class were you in?
By "basic math" I'm including algebra and percentages and other stuff that would be important for basic tasks like budgeting and carpentry, as well as the ability to write and read beyond just a basic vocab, and that is usually like 6-7th grade.
Trainer school starts at 4 year old.
You get money from battles if you are certified trainer
Unless you're doing a STEM degree half the core competencies in higher education will be replaced by ChatGPT within the next 2 years.
They won't, not because they can't be, but because they could have been years ago with AI way less powerful than chatgpt, we just never did
We absolutely suck at knowing how to utilize the technology we have
Tajiri said he envisioned the games taking place over the course of summer vacation. They're going back to school afterwards.
