I tried playing a wizard in DD1 but it was just so slow for combat. The enemies were very spongy and the attacks were very boring.

Nobodies started pretending they care about this game as well. Every game is a huge hit with universal praise until it gets forgotten when the next one releases in a couple of weeks.
After the framerate stuff came out I'm certain it's gonna need performance patches.
I was considering getting rise of the ronin first and waiting on dd to be patched but dd is still more tempting because the rrp is £10 lower

You lost interest after so many years, this happened to me with some animes who took a bunch of years between seasons, at some point the hype for the sequel just wears off completely.
I'm concerned that Itsuno is really not doing enough to differentiate this game from DD1, and feels more like DD 1.2 than a true sequel. It's just more of the same besides a couple little things like:

>new skills and augments for returning classes
>removed classes have their unique abilities moved to existing classes
>real time vocation switching with wayfarer
>new weapons with unique movesets
>revamped combat with additional core skills, finishing moves, and quickfire archery
>revamped climbing where you can stand on monsters to regain stamina and use abilities

>new healing system where empty health cannot be restored by consumables
>new camping system to complement the healing system
>ox cart fast travel system with ambushes
>new playable beast race and elf+dwarf npc races
>improved pawn interactions and AI
>new map 4x the size of DD1's Gransys
>at least 2 capital cities of similar size to Gran Soren
>new quests
>new dungeons
>new main story
>new desert biome
>new enemy behaviors for returning enemies
>added environmental actions like destroying bridges, dams, using a cyclops as a bridge
>removed quicktime grab escapes
>enemy infighting mechanics
>revamped pawn inclinations and specialties like elvish translator
>new NPC death system where user is given a limited time to revive with a wakestone before the NPC is gone forever
>More quests with impact like Fournival's trial and Salomet's Grimoire
>dynamic enemy spawns/movement to make adventures unique
>new dragonrot system that can be transmitted by pawns
wouldn't a DD1.2 be perfect though? like the original plan for DD was supposed to have a ton of shit that they never got to do so finally getting to make a completely realized DD1 would be great
For me it was the lack of innovation and reductions from DD1.
People always said that the reason DD1 was bad was because they ran out of funding/time, but here we are with their "realized vision" about to release and it looks like complete shit.
I just had way higher expectations I guess and refuse to settle for mediocrity. Not pre-ordering and will wait for the public's consensus on it, which I'm expecting is going to be just as bad as the originals.
