My stay was relatively short (one week) and was only able to visit sega's GiGO buildings in terms of arcades.
Is this a nice place? Maybe I'll check it out next time if or when I go back.
Super Potato is a tourist trap in Akihabara, but it is a cool game store to visit. They have 10 TVs throughout the store playing Game Center CX episodes, and you can hear dragon quest theme in a couple parts of the store
It's worth visiting but don't buy anything, drop some coins at the arcade
Sniper Elite VR, Surgeon Simulator VR (with some neat cheap shit to counter how much easier it is to control), Skyrim VR, Borderlands 2 VR, and Tyrone vs Cops VR are awesome. Also, VR porn.
If you or anyone is getting into skyrim VR, absolutely have a separate sex and no sex modlist that you switch between. If you need to roleplay the sex just console yourself into the situation that matched whatever happened in the no sex game. It is not fricking worth going through the pain of trying to make everything work, constantly putting on and taking off the headset every time you wanna change every little thing to see if it's not still completely broken. Not to mention most modders don't use vr so compatibility is up in the air and no one knows what causes issues or how to fix them.
No sex modded skyrim vr is very fun and worth setting up, and you can still have sexy lydia in bikini armor. Just don't try forcing sexlab to work with a big modlist, it doesn't.
the q2 already got its pricecut, it's now back to the original price

There are some good VR games, but $0 isn't cheap enough for you to use it for more than 3 months. Get one as a hobbyist tinkerer toy, but don't expect much usage out of it for gaming unless you're a 5k hour VR Chat player.

It should only take about a week or 2 to get your "vr legs" use only till you get sleepy (sleepiness seems to preceede the actual full sickness) and stop or you feel a Lil dizzy. Every day you'll likely be able to go nearly twice as long. Within a week you should be at the standard 2 hours. Start with standalone. If standalone doesn't make you want more then vr isn't for you. Otherwise that's when you'll feel the urge to go pc. Also chances are those quest titles are crossbuy so you will already own the pc version as well at no extra cost

I would want to do VR chat and stuff like that, so maybe something a bit higher up. otherwise I would go for that since it looks simple enough
I use for 3d camgirls probably daily. Taped porn is over produced for my taste. Also either expensive or the free stuff is poor video quality. I dont mess with sfm but it's likely the golden age for it.
Unless you mean pron gaems, no.
The vr movies are usually so low quality they look just about the same on a google cardboard style dingly gongle.
not games just movies, and more than likely whatever good SFM/Blender stuff is out there
For vrchat the hnd matters less than a powerful gpu because vrchat is one of those "games" that even with a 4090 you'll still be getting bottlenecks since no one optimizes shit. Normally I would also say go for something with baystations so you have a route for full body trackers but slime can also fill the void without needing baystations. But for affordability you just can't beat quest

Quest is easier now. I have a Rift I was given and it required me setting up motion trackers and shit plugged in via USB while the headset used HDMI. My Quest 2 uses cameras onboard for motion tracking, runs off battery (yeah, but how long would you be playing a VR game, honestly?) and uses wifi to connect to my PC.
Quest is a pain in the butt on PC. It's only seamless if you're playing standalone. Oculus Link is a headache and is the origin of most of the stability issues in PCVR. Also uses more resources than native headsets, especially on low to mid spec GPUs.

Virtual Desktop is better, but it's still the same ballpark of Oculus Link. Some games don't behave so you're constantly jumping between Link and VD anyway. You're still eating precious GPU and CPU resources compressing the rendered frame, etc. Really what we want is an actual *native* signal considering these screens are straight up in front of our eyes and our GPUs are screaming in pain.
>Quest is a pain in the butt on PC
once you try any other headset, you'll never want to use anything other than the quest again. steamvr is a joke that never works right. the reverb is a compatibility nightmare.
You ideally want a native headset to SteamVR. Mixed Reality and Oculus are all buggy middlemen. No one is making native SteamVR headsets. Mixed Reality was a budget line that never got any proper focus from Microsoft.
I wouldn't describe any headset as seamless. Even if Oculus Insight doesn't require me to setup base stations, I have to set up my room every time I put the thing on, defeating the purpose.
>You ideally want a native headset to SteamVR. No one is making native SteamVR headsets.
lol. is the index 2 gonna be good/exist? even then I don't trust valve to begin with, much less spending 1000 dollars on something they make(?).

Used to get horrible motion sickness in cars, still do a little. I mean 30 minutes down the road and I'm gonna vomit.
For VR the first time I tried it, I played superHOT and everything was fine, until the part where you jumped off a building, where I almost puked on the spot.
Got my own Oculus rift and played Boneworks, which throws you around. Got sick the first time, but then suddenly it just went away and I was fine.
i felt the price was justified when i started seeing it not as a peripheral but a console in its own right
it's like a 3d wii strapped to your head but more powerful and with better motion controls

I don't mod, but the gameplay (gamepad) with the sense of scale you get from VR is incredible. Skyrim sucks, but I still love dicking around in VR.

I have no problem with Oculus Link, and I have a 4090.
>I have a 4090
Well, it better. Most people are not on a 4090.
>Quest is a pain in the butt on PC
once you try any other headset, you'll never want to use anything other than the quest again. steamvr is a joke that never works right. the reverb is a compatibility nightmare.
200 is like a half an hour of work...?
>$400 hourly
not everyone sells cocaine, anon
Why not
I just don't need the risk of being given concrete swimming shoes in my life i guess senpai
i felt the price was justified when i started seeing it not as a peripheral but a console in its own right
it's like a 3d wii strapped to your head but more powerful and with better motion controls
>wii strapped to your head
emuvr supports wii if you want to waggle
I think it'll take off majorly in 5 years time, when the average headset can do PS4 visuals, for less than $400
by then, nintendo will decide to do a vr headset and do games right
