the Prince did nothing wrong

All Ventrue get the rope. Blue blooded gays.
>throws you under the bus
HE DINDU NUTTIN HE A GOOD BOI HE GOES TO CHRUCH ERRI SAUNDAY...
If you side with him he sounds like he legitimately believed that you killed Nines and he calls off the blood hunt immediately after finding out what really happened
I think he's just extremely paranoid, and you can't really blame him for that in a setting like VTM
>if you let him live he tries to become omnipotent and kills himself in the process
this is running on empty… food review
Did we play the same game?
The guy only cared about sucking off a mummy and tried to kill you multiple times
strauss is the canon ending
If VtM Bloodlines took off there would be lots of fanfictions especially from girls about how they try to fix LaCroix
Man, besides the whole part where he's an idiotic petty villain, he's one of the best chars in the entire game. His entire mannerisms and attitude and how he snaps when you call his shit is just brilliant.
Oh and he gives different answers regarding the Kuei alliance if you agree, he immediately drops the act and admits it.
As much as I like Strauss I can imagine how he'd be annoying as a colleague, let alone as a "boss", considering how much snark he gives for even hinting something he disagrees with. Maybe that's why he was sent to the shithole that is California kek
One of the biggest dissapointments is that there is no option to call his shit if you play Trem. At least a flavour line of "why didn't you intervene" and he may say "I didn't have the authority" or "your Sire and I disagreed on too much, but I'm glad you walked away from her path
I always thought that the Prince never wanted to kill you at the beginning and Nines just cut in before he could say this.
I know by the end the Prince is clearly no your firend but... anything past hollywood is barely canon to me since you couldn't even reach it initially.
I like how the game does a great job of never making it clear who is actually lying to you, except Jack and Beckett, who definitively are lying to you (or concealing truth at the bare minimum). That intro scene sets a good tone for the whole game
Yukie clearly doesn't lie to you.
I mean, yeah, she's a completely optional bit player
For the game's big decisions, you have to decide for yourself who to trust, whether all the stuff said about LaCroix is real or just Jack and Ming Xiao stirring up shit
How is Beckett lying?
Jack yeah, but not in a manipulative "I'm going to lie so I can use you" way like everyone else.
Both of them clearly know what's in the Sarcophagus but refuse to divulge that information
Beckett at least tells you not to open it but Jack clearly doesn't care whether or not you do so long as LaCroix dies
I never felt that Beckett knows what's in the sarcophagus. He seems genuinely shocked when he tells you, like he just found out himself.
Like he just found out what, right?
He knows. There's no other reason why he would have such a sudden of change of heart about it. Dude's a reddit atheist skeptic, he wouldn't act like that unless he had definitive proof
I always interpreted it the exact opposite. LaCroix is seething that you're still walking around when he wanted to have you killed so he constantly sends you on suicide missions.
Much as I love VTMB, one legitimate flaw with the writing is the inevitability of his betrayal. A reasonably loyal PC has done SO MUCH to further his agenda by the end of the game that he just comes off like a retard for stabbing them in the back.
>use you to get power
>immediately discard most effective and probably loyal asset/ally
Its a shitty trope. You usually keep that kind of person around once you get the power/position etc you want, because youre now a big target with a lot of work to be done.
Yeah it really makes no sense, being amoral shouldn't make you an idiot. He had no reason to betray you if you worked with him for most of the game.
Wow, it's almost as if immortals who feed on and use people to further their own agendas aren't nice people!
That's why I died at his side
Well I was a Gangrel.
Canon ending for gangrel would be to flip everybody off
its been 10 years and I still have no idea who the fuck was the bro who keeps on sending you emails about chess.
was it Jack or Beckett?
Jack, unless there were two different mystery emailers.
I never even got out of the first area of masquerade but spent 5 hours binging World of Darkness lore, so much unrealized potential especially for the underworld.
I think the mystery of who "A Friend" is is intentionally unsolvable, and may even be a character who never crosses paths with (You) but is somehow involved.
It's the things you don't learn more about, like who Samantha means when she says "everybody," that make the game's world feel bigger than it is.
>, like who Samantha means when she says "everybody,"
It means people in your past life, whatever it is. You could have been an ambulance driver, or a lawyer, or a junkie. She's gonna get your friends and family together because she thinks you have amnesia or some kind of trauma and have been living like some hobo.
I like to think it was Caine.
It's the cab driver.
morongay used a discipline on me with that he signed his death warrant.
Also all frogs get the rope. Bunch of vandals and thieves (especially his generation).
his pride and teamed up with the An*rchs to destroy the Kuei-Jin
Didn't he do the exact opposite of this? Ofc he was intending to stab the Kuei-Jin in the back also.
Kuei-Jin is the canon ending.
everyone on that fucking place are assholes especially Damsel, Pisha is the only good named character there it also helps that she isn't aligned with anyone.
>everyone on that fucking place are assholes especially Damsel, Pisha is the only good named character there it also helps that she isn't aligned with anyone.
Literally how can you be so wrong about everything? Damsel is one of the most altruistic and self-less characters in the game. She's just pure tsundere.
Pisha is just a mad dog that needed to be put down. Shotgun to the head. Dodge that you Indian bitch.
>side with LaCroix on my first playthrough
He's honestly less annoying than the anarchs
The existence of Jack makes up for any annoyance the other Anarchs bring.
Plus I kinda like Skelter. He's a bit abrasive at first, but he chills out quickly and I thought he was cool, shame he has so little dialogue.
Skelter was based, I liked how partial he was to the spooky religious shit.
Isn't that Grout's wife, not Grout?
no idea why, but I always thought the person in the painting was male
No, it's Grout, obviously
I choose to believe that it's Grout in the painting.
have the higher res
>swallowed his pride and teamed up with the An*rchs
You do know he's the one who sent those werewolves after you and Nines, right? He's the one who had the forest lit on fire.
Tremere master race, reporting in
Did I stutter?
>inb4 stinky salubri cope
>just the mere mention of them makes clans seeth
I don't know how a man can bring himself to say, without irony or qualification, that he is a fan of VTMB, a crudely cobbled-together game that aimed to capture the gothic, trenchoated spirit of the early 00's adolescent Columbine shooter types. VTMB is a cringy embarrassment. It's the dork who dresses all-in-black and wears his sunglasses indoors.
he was incompitent and too onions to be a ruler
>there are gays right here who didn't side with Strauss
In awe of your retardation.
I didn't even meet him until like 5 minutes before the endgame lmao. That was still enough to unlock his ending.
I need to do another playthrough, I missed like 90% of the side content.
>game lets you join the faction that tried to kill you
Why is that even a choice?
>that was lacroix's fault and not the camarilla's fault
That's still points against the Camarilla for letting it happen.
>That's still points against the Camarilla for letting it happen.
Letting what happen? Did you fucking die dumbass? Oh no right, another member of the Camarilla saved your life using his status.
Tr*mere are losers who rely on gay magic, real bros beat everyone with their animal fists.
>they can walk upright, they just chose not to
kek, Bertie has amazing insults based on each clan
>directly calls Brujah a bitch
A different time
But then he has nothing but kind words for the nosferatu.
Yeah? He's a vampire racist. So what, you saying there isn't a place for characters you disagree with?
sorry, can't hear your yipping over all the exploding meatbags
None of this is true
He wasn't even the big bad and didn't even have a fight
the best for everyone
Only if everyone means "looking out for number one". His entire gamble was diablerizing a methuselah.
any tips on a nosferatu playthrough? I fucking hate going to the sewers
Only time you need to use them is to travel to another hub
Just don't walk right up to random people, people don't even notice you're a Nos if you stay like 3 ft away from them
Use melee weapons for stealth oneshots, but put your actual skill points into guns.
There isnt a single vampire who doesnt look out for themselves.
Either their power hungry assholes or manipulative cunts who dont care about what happens as long as they live / get the thing they want.
>I'm the protagonist
>he acted in a way that harmed to protagonist
Yep, he's the bad guy, and only a fool would try to cope their way out of this.
so about that sequel
in 20 years
I'm fine with not being disappointed.
I have to wonder whats was the main issue was. The gameplay was bad but what else
Well if you ask me the writing was totally boring and it was a mixed bag visually. Apparently the game was a total mess behind the scenes.
>any vampire over a few years of unlife
>wanting the best for everyone
>kill a shitload of random innocent people to cause a huge shitstorm on purpose
>starts meme 4-way gangwar that almost gets everyone killed by fukking slants
>camarilla is... le bad
>really find the Giovanni's cool because they have a system on who to sire and not just some random bro on the streets
>they don't exist anymore
All the good stuff got killed off with oWoD and replaced with gigapozz.
classist, white, antibellum nostalgia, etc. Can't offend leftist religious principles.
>Wanted to eat his ancestor to become a being of godlike power and screw over the Camarilla
>Also tried to have you eaten by werewolves
Nah fuck him, Max was always the better choice
I miss her
the Price was a weakling, a patsy and double dealing shitbag.
but then again so is everyone else, except maybe the bald red guy, at least during those events.
>tfw ventrue prince with toreador gf
