Captain Syrup has not once talked about Peach since the first game or continues to mess with her and vice versa. They've basically ignored each other. Wario Land 1 was basically collateral damage for Syrup in her treasure hunting duties, she never physically interacted with Peach. That's kind of what Syrup did with Wario's "wabowser," the Genie final boss. Instead of the damsel being kidnapped by the final boss, the final boss was a captive of the damsel.
So for Preach, since she's a little different than Syrup, I think she'd try to take over Bowser's castle and win over his minions. It would be kind of a dilemma for Mario. Would he have any reason to help Bowser in that kind of situation?
