I've yet to give Gaijin a dime but it's just as grindy as WT. It fools you in the beginning because you can unlock stuff quick and nothing carries over to different characters from the same nation. At least with red orchestra there was a semblance of independent thought and you could cap points but 9 times out of 10 it's just dudes ganging up on one point, getting mortared/bombed to hell expecting to win the game just by holding that one point. Much like WT.

that's wrong you can transfer some weapons from one campaign to different one, mp40/mg13/mg34/mg42 can be carried over to multiple campaigns

95% game ain't p2w you just need to grind levels and you can easily destroy even best tanks with tnt or well aimed shot (like in this image destroyed much better armored panther with worse t-34-85), and for infantry they just buffed all bolt rifles and they murder people in single hit 90% of the time, but there are some thing that are really p2w like: >$30 Stalingrad Full access which let you unlock locked levels from campaign (new weapons,squads and vehicles) which were locked for no reason besides Gaijin's greed also x4 xp for that campaign and useless flamer tanks for both sides >Mg13 with 75 ammo mags in moscov campaign which just shreds people with very large mags that you can't grind in normal campaign tree, + even more p2w there are engineer which can build ammo boxes carrying lmg - not a single engineer in a game can carry anything more than a bolt/semi/fullauto rifle, it also gives +100% xp because why not >In battle of normandy germans can buy premium Panzerwerfer with super op rockets against infantry (one rocket for 6+ kills), however it can be easily destroyed by even most basic tanks/plane with rockets/bombs in a game so it's op only sometimes
I still have old premium Chauchat lmg squad for soviets and it's dogshit, you may say same about 95% premiums since they are inferior to late campaign level guns/vehicles.
Also forget about this bullshit squad, you get body armor that may sometimes ricochet even bolt action bullets, and at same time you have almost recoil-less smgs with 71 ammo mags which are still worse than late game smgs but you get them as soon as you purchase that squad and don't have to spend 100h grinding for weapons + perks, also you can't grind their body armor it's unique to that p2w premium squad. I'm just glad nobody buys those squads and just spend money on premium time to grind faster and battle pass to get more silver/gold orders.
It's grind2play and paytobeabletogrind at all. Frick the game, don't play it. I'd even tell you play League of Legends instead, War Thunder will cause you to physically hurt yourself. DO NOT START PLAYING THAT SHIT.

really? Because my fun already died a 6 something with the Krauts. It's fricking impossible to level up as Germans when you've reached the Tiger 2 and Jagdpanther. Missiles and one shots everywhere.
you need to play smart as Tiger you can't depend on your obsolete armor you are a glass canon, you can one shot most tanks from the front and all from the side (except t95). If you still struggle then buy premium ru251 it's harder to one shot people but it's much smaller target and can peek and heatfs spamat people from great distance. There is also skill tree m41 but it's worse than ru251 (totally not p2w - gaijin). Germans are still way better than russians at that tier their tanks are atrocious till you get t-54 and bmp-1 (honestly i'd rather play as chinks since at least i have premium wheeler and other skill tree wheelers are also great), while americans are way too op and super underrated for some reason their lineup from 6.7 are so damn strong then they have bradleys, multiple mini abrams and even later actual abrams, most op AA vehicle in a game (ADATS) which can also kill tanks easily, and HSTV-L (totally not op as frick with that autoloader)
I'd say even lower, I can't go anywhere in an M60 without getting ammo racked like I'm storing magnets in it. Even farming with the T92 has lost its luster.
When you start seeing tier 4 tanks you will begin encountering the extremely OP premium tier 4 tank that literally cannot be killed by anything that isn't itself and cannot match against anything better than itself.
Anyone who still playing WoT noticed the horde of noobs during this 12th anniversary event? Over half of the teams is either a new players who just start playing the game but bought tier 8 premium tanks or a long time players with over ten thousand games but have sub 46% win rate or lower. It's literally impossible to win with them in your team.
WoT, I enjoy playing heavies and holding a good position solo against like 4 tanks the most, but people suck so much that even when I'm 1v4ing for like 6 minutes of the game and take 2 of those 4 out the other 14 tanks on the other side of the map still lose. The amount of gold ammo being slung in WoT also makes heavies suck.
Mediums are the most consistent for carries, but I'd probably give it to lights with decent guns. Haven't played since T10 lights were added but the days of T8 lights in T10 games were pretty fun trying to take way stronger tanks on with just high mobility and good positioning.

in 2016 the unfair tiers started at 3-4. I'm 100% sure the suffering will start much earlier nowadays.

Somehow this ended up as my most used vehicle back when I played WoT. Spamming premium with it was really fun.
