Been going around and checking out what's new in Chapter 4. Managed to find some Necrons in a smuggler's base and a fricking Halo Device. Little bit of advice for chapter 4 if you explored everything in chapter 2: you can use the systems menu and check systems for new things to be found on planets and whatnot. When you click on an individual planet within the sector, unchecked spots will show up darker. It does bug out a bit and sometimes show already explored areas but I think those may only show up if you haven't done anything or you fricked up a puzzle. I had the light beam place and the bottomless pit still showing up and I know I screwed up the pit by not finding all the awareness checks beforehand. The light beam I'm not sure on. I got the force sword but there may be more to it than that.

Unsurprisingly the companion abductions are bugged, you can search the archives. A common one I've seen is that someone brings Yrliet and she gets marked dead somehow, and you lose access to her. What playstyle do you want? This isn't Pathfinder where you need to go full spreadsheet, the classes in this game are straighforward and do exactly what they say they'll do. I went Soldier>Bounty Hunter and had a lot of fun.

bursts are heavily bugged right now, they're tagged as both an area attack and burst for some reason so it has an extremely buggy interaction with Versatility (double stacks)

I just got through that encounter. Pretty sure that Cassia getting a turn very early on in the order is what let me pull through. Forced movement abilities are a godsend when Eldar snipers wanna try some shit.

Dash doesn't give an extra attack as far as I know.

We're talking about being limited to 1 attack per round buddy.
Also, stacking Operatives could help you land kills on high value targets but at the end of the day your operative is there to lower armour and maybe dodge for the rest of the party, not damage.

Killing companions is so satisfying in this game. Normally I can't do it, I even kept Cam to the end in case she could be redeemed. But I have no regrets about Idira or Yrliet getting a bolt to the face.

I'm a lorelet but I thought as long as you worship the god-emperor + pay your tithes then however you run your planet(s) is kosher. There’s still a crossing across the cicatrix maledictum through Vigilus. Abbadon tried to conquer it in the so called “War of the Beasts” but failed. Maybe the game takes place during the war and his fleet is blocking the way back with warp frickery.
And the astronomican does work to some degree otherwise warp travel wouldn’t be possible at all. At least that’s how I though warp travel is supposed to work, with the navigators using the astronomican as reference to move around the immaterium.
We are making our own roots to systems and their is a lot of implication with Cassia that its happening or just happened. Could be like a star going out, can see it for a bit. Im getting conflicting dates its ether significantly before the Fall or close to it but can't rely on time keeping in 40k. So using the ability, that one perk that auto applies an exploit on an enemy every character turn, meaning one trigger for analyse enemies and one trigger for the auto apply . Or does it trigger when you attack and remove an exploit,meaning everytime you hit an enemy that has exploit stacks, so you hit 2 guys with one shot you get two triggers of tides of excelence

Been going around and checking out what's new in Chapter 4. Managed to find some Necrons in a smuggler's base and a fricking Halo Device. Little bit of advice for chapter 4 if you explored everything in chapter 2: you can use the systems menu and check systems for new things to be found on planets and whatnot. When you click on an individual planet within the sector, unchecked spots will show up darker. It does bug out a bit and sometimes show already explored areas but I think those may only show up if you haven't done anything or you fricked up a puzzle. I had the light beam place and the bottomless pit still showing up and I know I screwed up the pit by not finding all the awareness checks beforehand. The light beam I'm not sure on. I got the force sword but there may be more to it than that.

Soldier also has dash and doesn't depend on increasing base crit and BS. And scales like a mother fricker off BS.
Warriors have AOE push on potentially any ability for 0 AP, scale of STR, T or AGI, or all at once.
You've got plenty of officers already available.
Operatives get a ton but you also get the ton of different operatives. Funnily enough having several all stacking exploits isn't the worst idea ever.
Dash doesn't give an extra attack as far as I know.

Also, stacking Operatives could help you land kills on high value targets but at the end of the day your operative is there to lower armour and maybe dodge for the rest of the party, not damage.

Like Pasqal does 80+ damage on melee attacks and I don't know if it's something stacking incorrectly. Or Cassia getting 4 attacks per turn, there are so many little talents and buffs that I can't even remember what causes that

Pasqal soudns like an interaction with his skirmish protocols and hitting a target with lots of explots, sounds fine.
Argenta does more than that, the versatility stacks start sending BS past 100 which directly increases DPS very quickly.
Cassia getting 4 attacks per turn sounds like you have Bloodhound staff equipped.

I'm a lorelet but I thought as long as you worship the god-emperor + pay your tithes then however you run your planet(s) is kosher. The fact that an iconoclast RT can let people live rather then kill them but still adhere to Imperial doctrine shouldn't require a full scale invasion

cut off from Astronomican, Abaddon doing his crusades, a little bit of Tyranid incursion, not a fleet, lot of orcs, and next to the eye of terror. The empire has time to crusade against you in one of the most dangerous places to travel to because you were too nice. Owlcat probably want that grimdark ending but Holy Terra can't reach you, Guilliman would accept you for bringing the expanse to order, and the chapters in Imperial Nilius don't have time to do a quick war with you for no reason while dealing with all other threats to the region including Abaddon who created the rift
There’s still a crossing across the cicatrix maledictum through Vigilus. Abbadon tried to conquer it in the so called “War of the Beasts” but failed. Maybe the game takes place during the war and his fleet is blocking the way back with warp frickery.
And the astronomican does work to some degree otherwise warp travel wouldn’t be possible at all. At least that’s how I though warp travel is supposed to work, with the navigators using the astronomican as reference to move around the immaterium.
We are making our own roots to systems and their is a lot of implication with Cassia that its happening or just happened. Could be like a star going out, can see it for a bit. Im getting conflicting dates its ether significantly before the Fall or close to it but can't rely on time keeping in 40k. So using the ability, that one perk that auto applies an exploit on an enemy every character turn, meaning one trigger for analyse enemies and one trigger for the auto apply . Or does it trigger when you attack and remove an exploit,meaning everytime you hit an enemy that has exploit stacks, so you hit 2 guys with one shot you get two triggers of tides of excelence

I love this game but the amount of time and energy it takes to frequently choose intricate talents for 9 different characters is REALLY wearing me down. not to mention all the other bullshit you have to do in the meantime like inventory management, colony management, ship management, etc. And sometimes there's just SO much fricking downtime between fights where you end up reading a novel's worth of bullshit.
just pick whatever is recommended and if you get to a point you find you're losing combat, then you can worry about looking at them intricately and respec
the shit it recommends is fricking moronic. it wants me to pick stuff like "if heinrix sees a left-handed enemy while he's gripping his wiener with his right hand, then all allies gain a +5 bonus to their semen meters as long as the moon is a crescent shape"
but if I scroll down all the way to the fricking bottom I get talents like "every time heinrix hits an enemy, he hits another enemy" and "every time heinrix blinks, everything on the map gets poisoned"

I'm on console and they didn't even remember to code in the ability to scroll down in the talent descriptions. I have to jump around with the "more information" button to see everything. I have no idea what they were thinking, but after 2 patches I still can't give Heinrix 45 strength so my hope is quickly waning.
Damn. I suppose I was one of the lucky ones then. The version I torrented around launch proved fairly stable with nothing truly gamebreaking well up until the end. Well, other then the odd mob getting stuck in a wall or some other loop but easy enough to reload that shit.
the ui is horrific and buggy, but aside from that and the humanity's finest bug, the only obvious but I've seen so far is that my servitors always T-pose on my ship. still not sure if Cassia getting 4 attacks is a bug or not.

Is it fps capped? Performance in this game is weird. It looks mostly the same as wotr but runs a lot worse. It has a lot more NPCs in the screen but I don’t think that’s enough reason for it.
i was running a 120 fps but this game was maxing my 3080 at 72 degrees with its insane power draw so i capped it to 60 fps
