Shill thread for a garbage game nobody cares about. Very nice.
>NOOO, YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT A NEW GAME
No, he's Primaris. Marines can move very quickly but they probably tuned the animation speed so that it didn't look too weird.
Yes. Every game conversation is shilling. The only real games on Ganker are porn vn's and chink gacha garbage.
Yes I agree theres too many starfield threads
marine players are the bulk of 40k (in more ways than one) and also the biggest paypigs of the hobby
I fricking hate the Marine Cycle. Say what you will about AoS but at least they don't have that stupid shit going on.
I'll take a marine model over this absolute goyslop any time
>Id rather buy 17 different primaris Lieutenant models than 1 fantasy model
marinepiggies truly are a special breed
If you don't own a literal entire chapter of 1000 marines + all their vehicles and thunderhawks you are a fake fan.
Uh don't ask for proof of mine.
AoS has been pumping out some absolutely fantastic minis consistently so I was excited for the CoS launch but man a lot of them have left me deflated. Oh well at least now I can switch to SoD once my Vamps are complete.
If you changed the head to something else it would actually be a solid model. I'm kinda wondering how the sprues are for it
What you see is what you get. It's one of the two named characters.
The other one is also a woman of course.
>What you see is what you get.
Not anymore. Proxies using the same model altered are a-okay by GW standards. You can thank the new Dark Eldar Kill Team for that.
Another black queen. The specific city they're from is in AoS Africa. It's annoying that they're obviously doing it force good boy points but they're not just saying something like "Altdorf has always been diverse, chud" and if you play CoS or Sigmarines you're a homosexual anyway
I fricking hate space marine homosexuals. In a better world they'd all drop dead and and GW would go out of business. That being said I am excited for this game.
kys
Yup plenty of starfield threads you're right.
yes same dare I say it high quality engine, there's also warriors that might need to be dealt with up close and maybe other nid variants as specials. both games are going for coop campaign as well.
Because you're late that's why. A thread that hit bump limit was archived just a while ago.
Shit looks really good but aren't space marines supposed to move way faster than that? Is he in terminator armor?
Yeah space marine movement should look more like Doomguy but we've had endless games and animations of them slowly stomping so it's what people are used to
i remember sprinting was pretty fast in Space Marine 1, am I remembering correctly?
You are, the pace was much fast in the 1st game.
Yes but console players can't so we have to come to a compromise.
Nids are so fricking boring, I hope we do get a second enemy faction again.
How about some good ol' fashion Necrons or Dark Eldar?
>It's going to be fricking Chaos again as Chaos is GW's favorite child
I hope its orks again.
The suprise its orks in i am slaughter was 10/10.
It's confirmed to be Tzeentch.
Graphics looked good, liked how the guardsmen bow to you, but the screaming mulatto woman guardsmen yelling during the heat of battle takes all the atmosphere and sucks it out of the room, its just a bad aesthetic... I really wish ESG trannies could find a much less annoying way to cram black woman into a game..
so this is by the developer of world war z right?
all the gameplay is just waves of trash mobs running at the player.
kinda looks like theyre using the world war z tech for spawning hordes of zombies but now its nids.
i hope theres more to the game than just that
>i hope theres more to the game than just that
SM1 was literally just killing waves of enemies and not much else. I feel like 40k games other than total war 1 have a ceiling of 7/10
Yeah Total War is my favorite 40k game. You fricking pseud
>40k games
>Total War 1
Should I pick Spehss Muhreen 1 up again? I remember I played it on the hardest difficulty and got frustrated because you can't kill enemies at range fast enough and die in 3 seconds when meleeing
Space Marine is fun when you just tear orks apart. Then they spam bomb squigs at you to make you stop heaving fun with that. Then Chaos arrives and force you to play a cover shooter in a game where they used not having a cover system as a selling point and you just awkwardly stand behind pillars.
Then you reach the final boss and he's a QTE. And the game's story starts at the final cutscene.
The game is very uneven. Definetly wouldn't push myself to finish it on high difficulty again. It is clearly not at all designed for that.
To be fair, popping out from behind cover was also the de-facto gameplay of every TPS before they invented cover shooters. So strafing out from behind a pillar is perfectly acceptable
wienerS FOR THE TROONTHRONE
BALLS FOR THE >SHE GOD
>go from point A to point B
>attacked by swarms
>swarms have invincible states
meh
This. The game looks like a mediocre shooter that's relying on the spectacle of the swarm tech. The actual combat looked so basic and one-note I couldn't sit through the 7 minute video.
extremely annoying flashing HUD elements
HE IS A SUPER SPESS MUHREEN NOW!
the frick?
>I hope
>I wish
>If, if, if
>Repetitive
>Why is no one shilling Space Marine 2?
>Westerntrash slophammer
Gee, I wonder?
Rogue Trader will let me frick an Eldar.
What will this let me do?
Hopefully swordfrick an eldar, even better an eldar child
Looks good, I'm hopeful.
I want a game where I can kill Tau inside their crisis suits so bad bro.
Give us a Deathwatch republic commando game for the love of the Emperor.
>Bro why is nobody excited for the hundredth game in this shovelware franchise released this year?
>Dude it's only the sixth swarm shooter in the franchise
>It's 40k duuude
>dude what if I exaggerate everything
watched 2 first minutes
it will be better than shit released today and will a sad "peak of gaming" for younglings after all the good things that have passed,
because compared to the first game the gameplay is lacking any impact, like you're attacking sponges most of a time, from previous previews the sound design is also lacking which made the original so good subconsciously
for us it will be a souless shitty fangame published for full price, much like Titus was transformed into shitty souless primaris
It doesn't look great honestly
Sounds design is one of my main gripes with what has been shown so far.
They absolutely nailed every weapon, enemy and ambient sound in the original. It was a big part of what made space marine 1 feel so fun even though the gameplay itself was pretty simple.
Meanwhile in the new one bolters sound like generic peashooter #5489.
It's like the original was made by and for people that really loved the setting, while the new one feels kinda generic.
Why is the voice acting so shit?
>Titus is a primaris now
Why am I not surprised
How do I tell the difference?
Unless you really know the setting, and have paid attention to tabletop, you won't.
You can't complain that marines are boring, then laugh when the most common character choice in games like BG3 is white male fighter.
Bro, people like vanilla, and nothing you say or do will change it.
Statistically, it was a half-elf paladin but yes you're
broadly right.
People like vanilla but they want to be special vanilla (jedi, space marine, etc) not mundane vanilla.
Marines are boring. They have over a dozen factions to use and they still churn out "Marine squad lumbers through a bunch of mooks", except this time with Nids instead of Orks which makes it less fun.
Someday will be our day, Salamanderbro.
Salamanders are Marines too, ya doofus.
The last thread got nuked by /misc/ war
>marine wank again
>no helmet on
trash, will wait for the mods like I did for space marine 1
trying not to spoil myself. I'm going into this game blind.
Anon the story is going to be laughably simple
>Titus shows up to stop Nid invasion
>After fighting Nids for a few hours a Techpriest or Inquisitor will pop up saying they have a solution
>The solution is dubious at best but Titud goes with it because they have nothing better ro work with
>The dubious solution turns out to be Chaos related and Daemons and CSM start popping up everywhere
>After several hours of fighting Daemons and CSM Titus comes across their leader, who will probably be Nemeroth, and beat him to a pulp
>Credits roll and there's a sequel bait scene of Titus talking to the Inquisitor from Boltgun
I didn't read your greentext. All major GW adjacent project are laughably simple, if not outright stupid. This isn't news to anyone. Especially given recent events (I say recent, but I'm referring to the last decade)
HH was a disaster for 40k and every Primarch they bring back makes things worse. Cadia's fall was a mistake.
It took a lot of the mystery out of the setting. I'm guessing you're more of a 20k-30k fan.
I just think loyalist Primarchs in 40k were a mistake, especially with the way GW handled them, and then the Chaoswank has consumed far too much of the setting. Just look at Arks of Omen. The big huge finale of 9th Edition turned out to be a colossal wet fart because it all just turned out to be setting up Lion vs Angron, one of the single most moronic fights they've ever done. And the worst part is that it ended on a cliffhanger, so the entire 4th Tyrannic War turns out to just be filler until the DA and CSM Codex releases early next year.
GW's big initial mistake was leaving any of the primarchs around after the HH. Previously only the Chaos primarchs were active in 40k which was an obvious discrepancy which needed fixing. Where as instead if the HH ended with them all gone they still could have made a HH line but with no need to bring them into 40. it would also add to the grimdark feel of the best years of every faction being behind them.
SM2 looks alright tbh but it looks and sounds less interesting to me on an aesthetic level. I actually liked the colour in the first game but I completely understand why Saber have went for a more muted grimdark palatte.
Having the Daemon Primarchs around is fine because at this point they're just Greater Daemons running around but with more CSM minions. Angron is effectively just a big Bloodthirster. That said they shouldn't be narrative characters, they should be huge problems that pop up in bad situations like other Greater Daemons, and either get dealt with the same way or kill a bunch of people the same way. Outside of those 4 the Primarchs should all be dead though, besides MAYBE Lorgar as an Undivided Daemon, and even then he should still play by the same rules the others do.
I mostly agree but at that point they're just narrative dead ends. If you just use them as a big bad who does nothing but fricking things up and then gets banished they could be replaced by any other Daemon Prince but by their very nature as primarchs they should have more focus on them as characters deeply embedded in the setting. I also just like the idea of the Horus Heresy being this 4D chess match between Emps and the Big 4 that ends in a phyrric victory for both sides. Characters like Abaddon, Typhus and Ahriman being the inheritors of their legions and knowing that their stronger primarchs failed but trying again is way more compelling than having the daemon primarchs around but not doing much.
Guilliman I could stomach. Bringing the Lion back pushes it over the edge for me.
>Bring Lion back
>Don't explain how
>He has super special teleportation powers now
>Continue to not explain how
Arks of Omen was so fricking awful it was comical.
Isn't Lion one of those Primarchs that never really were gone? He was either just sitting in the rock emoing out, or that was Luther and Lion was roaming about doing whatever the frick he liked the whole time? I can't remember what happened to him after/during the heresy. But bringing him back feels like it's sort of like Leman Russ or Khan coming back, they can just jump out of a portal and go "'sup, b***hes" whenever GW needs to improve space marine sales.
As I recall he'd been effectively comatose since 30k, not really locked in stasis but also not able to wake up.
His new book skips any explanation and just has him wake up on some random planet with some good Fallen on it.
It's not the fact that he's back, it's that he camr back in one of the most deflated and unexciting ways possible. Even Angron had a big huge thing going on, Lion just randomly popped out of nowhere with no explanation.
press lmb to punch a daemon to death
>Oh no its *swarm fodder faction*
>LEEEEMAEOW it was truly *elite faction*
Has been the default Warhammer video game story for literally decades.
Frankly, I can't even be mad it makes sense on basically every level.
I'M RELOADING
Space Marine was for toddlers. Is the sequel gonna be different? Boltgun is better
>Boltgun is better
>not SOVL 2d pixel roguelike
Zoom zoom.
>SM1 went completely under majority normalgay gamer radar: Gankereddit loves it
>SM2 is getting massive hype, is already very popular: Gankereddit hates it
the contrarian brainrot on Ganker is making this shithole second most moronic board
That's even more funny considering Ganker eats up every chink gacha slop without complains.
There's been a huge normalgay invasion since 2011, not to mention primaris and 30K slop. No one cares about 40K beyond primarch capeshit anymore. It's only logical.
Because 40K went to shit after 7th ED.
who cares? I will try it when it comes out but you already know what the game is and my bullshit meter is going off with these previews so I am putting little thought into them
who gives a shit 40k is fricking lame
No u
would it run on a 1660 ti, if not I ain't playing it
There are multiple things with this gameplay footage that makes it appear that they're going to mess it up.
No helmet mode ON/OFF it appears (I hope I'm wrong on this one). I really don't want to have to get a mod for this, just fricking enable it. The pacing is almost atrociously slow and sluggish compared to the 1st game where you moved fast and got stuck in to the action, the pace in the footage however was almost sleep inducing. This is a major flaw and from what I can see, a concern that there's almost unanimous agreement on by those that are actually leaving feedback and not behaving like fanboys that are just happy to have a 40k game. The bolter as mentioned by many feels underwhelming and puny, especially compared to the 1st game. The lack of music (this might be personal preference) was also clearly felt, it made many parts of the game lack excitement.
Sort comments by new on the youtube videos by the way, not top, and you'll see many are voicing the same complaints we are here.
My main fear is that the gameplay will get repetitive and it just be mindless killing majority of the time. The gameplay shown is promising though
>Released by a developer that makes shovelware
>Writer isba troony
>Looks like shit
GW has ordere another piece of shit software and I don't evene care.
Because like Guilliman himself, i fricking hate nu40k as i hate the primaris Söywars stormtrooper helmet.
Also is becoming rarer to find on fricking israelitegle the old 40k SM art from 4th ed and backwards
>a few developer pre selected snippets
>from a preview build that may not reflect the actual game
If the game will be like this the whole way through and look like that and somehow run on reasonable hardware, then cool. I'll be down to shoot nids for 20 hours or so.
But if it's nothing but copy pasted hallways after the initial set pieces for the trailers, the graphics get downgraded and it gets 30 fps on a 4090, then I'll pass.
Ignore the Riot footage, the player clearly sucks. IGN has a much better gameplay video where the player is actually competent.
So it's just a walking simulator for manchildren?
can wait to walk for 12h in the same brown/grey corridors and using one of the 5 guns and 2 grenades provided at each door... until the cool qte ending of course
I want an Eldar game.
I want a mechanicus forgeworld factory game.
Or even better, a sector management game.
>Forgeworld Sim
>Have to mantain proper order in a newly founded Forgeworld, managinf labor and ensuring proper output
>Have to contend with hereteks and xenarites skulking around undermining you, as well as raids from Orks and Dark Eldar
>The more compact and tightly fit your Forge is the happier your techpriests are, but the angrier the laborers get
>But why the frick would you care about the laborers?
>But why the frick would you care about the laborers?
That's only until I make a deal with the xenarites to get mindshackle scarab tech from the necron tomb underneath.
Frickers won't complain about rations anymore
Eldar Musou focused on Aspect Warriors up to Phoenix Lords, with a smattering of seers, warlocks and harlequins to round out the roster, would work so well. Semi mythical heroes with a mix of special abilities and weapon ranges to accommodate different playstyles (Banshees with flipping around and debuffs, Dark Reapers with slow close combat but enormous explosions), a build your own custom Autarch hero system with any gear you've unlocked, hordes of chaff on every side to wade through jetbikes for horses - tell me it wouldn't work.
Using the World War Z engine seems like it's a stroke of genius. Those tyranid swarms look gorgeous in movement.
I'm going to be very autistic and tap fire the bolter.
>Why the frick isn't there a single Space Marine 2 thread?
Why it should be?
Do they have frog wife?
people are unironically looking forward to a sequel to a forgettable x360 tps?
Why do the character models look like fortnite?
This looks boring af but looks nice graphically. Very repetitive looking and the hit feedback look like shit.
Like I said before, I watched the 40 episodes of Raven Rock lore videos, I even played Inquisitor and Vermintide 2 (so I also learned a little of Warhammer Fantasy lore), and read some of the wiki entries. Where the frick is the release date?
Because it looks like shit.
>WWZ engine
That's nice at least, that game ran pretty well so hopefully this game is able to keep that up alongside the neat swarm tech.
