Wario Land II is the best GB game ever made. It mogs every other one in terms of replayability, it has great enemy designs and it sets the levels of comfy off the charts

Only because Mario Tennis only came out for GBC.
What does mogs mean
I just imagine Mog from FFVI descending from a jump attack.
This. I first heard it as 'titmogged' in regards to a woman out-boobing another . Is it specifically muscles or what?
3 better
3 is a GBC game, boyo
Who frickin' cares?

Blow your brains out.
cope and sneed
Donkey Kong is the superior GB game with Links awakening being a respectable 2nd
>Super Gameboy Pak
So that's what black GameBoy games are...
nah bro the cart was grey. theres a lot of super game paks that were grey. hell, the yellow pokemon game is technically a super pak
My copy of Wario 2 is black and Link's Awakening DX is too
google it my man. they released many super gb pak games. tetris attack, donkey kong land, donkey kong, like literal dozens. many of them never released black. some are
black carts are GBC games compatible with the GB
So were Pokemon Gold & Silver.
No, moron. That's what original GB-compatible GBC games are. PKMN Red and Blue are Super Game Boy games.
>challenger approaches
Any reason to prefer either the GB or GBC version of Wario Land 2?
GBC version is the same but with color, and thats the version i always played. There's also a hack that changes colors to match Wario Land 3's palette and fixes some things
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2990/
The Game Boy Color version for some reason removes an enemy, simplifies some graphics (albeit prob to fit new palette), changes an alternate use of a rock to deflect a boulder, and disallows switching between Color and original/Super Game Boy modes through the game's one and only save file (the dealbreaker for me).
How much of that can be fixed with Romhacking?
I think it already has been (at least most it). Here: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/6351/
>Restores the windows.
Is it safe to say that the part about the windows disrupting the palette is a lie?
There's more than that, for example several enemy sprites and even Wario frames, but no one's done a massive graphical comparison.
>disallows switching between Color and original/Super Game Boy modes through the game's one and only save file (the dealbreaker for me).
What's up with that?
It was designed for a monochrome display, so you decide. Playing it with Super Game Boy colors shouldn't change that, since it doesn't add colors in detail like a GBC does. I'm playing through the GBC version now, and it seems like the colors were added in a lot more arbitrary of a basis.
Honestly I feel this way about Color ports in general. Of course Color-exclusive carts are going to be better: Wario Land 3's coloration is better than II's; the Zelda Oracles' coloration is better than Link's Awakening DX; etc. That said, how is
? Fan-Color efforts are iffy but a few like Super Mario Land 2's produce better results than some official Nintendo products I wager.

zoomie opinion discarded
Wario world feels great gameplay wise, but is visually stale.
A zoomer would like Wario World because it's on a 6th gen console which is zoomie's childhood, though.
