Literally who the frick cares
Have they fixed the pathfinding yet?
Not yet.
Oof
>Warzone 2100 v4.4
what fricking year is this
This is the power of open source
making outdated garbage two decades too late?
Keeping a game alive for 24 years.
if this is "alive" i have at least two estates to repay to my totally not moldering and skeletelized ancestors
give new campaigns
I don't care about other dev autism(last time they fricked up minimap)
This game just depresses me every time I see it and reminds me that my dad pawned my copy for drug money.
Neat. Haven't played in nearly 2 decades.
What is is about these older 3D strategy games that makes them look so dull? It's like they were made before colors were invented, they're all black, grey and brown, conveniently set in post-apocalyptic scenery to make it less obvious.
I think it looks cool, its grimm. Flaming favelas with tanks never was so fun
Is it just me or are flamers in this game pure garbage against anything that can fight-back on the move, and researching BB's makes them even more redundant against static defenses thanks to their range?
as a heavy cannon on hover enjoyer, i despise flamers.
Are cyborgs worth unlocking at all?
never had much use for them. even with the addition of the vtol transport.
They had crippling poly count limits so they couldn't fill maps with trees or other props which led to a lot of devs setting their games in desolate locations. As soon as scenery became viable they switched to jungles.
It's also pretty good for visual clarity when the terrain is dark and your units are bright, but I think that's more of a side effect than the main reason why they did it.
Is there other games where you keep base between missions (except Earth series and warhammer)?
I've been really enjoying this. You can customize your units as you research new parts for them so it feels like your adapting. Not a big fan of time limits though.
Did they brought-back the original's uber-annoying airborne cyborgs yet?
Playing mission 6c,
Everything on map is killed and all objectives complete. Get told one enemy building is remaining with 12min on the clock. Im searching all over and cant find it anywhere WTF is this shit?
post map
is this by any chance the mission where you need to build up the center of the map and expect the transport of a New paradigm?
damn I remember seeing this game open source like 20 years ago
I remember signing the petition to make the game open source. Unfortunately I rarely play it anymore but I still keep tabs on it.
holy shit i played the crap out of this when i was younger. the original game always felt unfinished to me though. Really loved games that let you make your own vehicles and shit. Cant find anything modern that scratches the same itch
