I meant pre release, people were hyped up about zombies but weren't overly thrilled with the more futuristic setting. You always had the people who bought it just because it was cod. It also came out in 2013? which was around the time most people buckled down and actually took their studying seriously. Next gen consoles were also around the corner so that didn't really help either.
Black ops 2 released November of 2012 but you're pretty much right about it being 2013's call of duty. Since that's what most people played during 2013, even after release of ghosts which most people skipped.
