Elden Ring sold 20 million in one year on PS4, PS5, Xbone S/X, Xbox Series S/X and PC.

If it were exclusive to PS5/PC, it wouldn't have sold half.

At release, people like DF said the best way to play ER performance wise (locked 60 and 100% stutter free) was to run the PS4 version on PS5. Is that still the case? Wish we could get that on PC too.

Depends on your hardware but it does stutter a bit on everything as far as I know. Stutters a lot on my 5700xt. DF had a video about how there is no way to solve this entirely with just more hardware because of how it works, but stutters are softened by faster PCs. Not sure what if anything changed since then. My experience is about the same.

It's due to both EAC and shader compilation, DX12 for whatever reason pins the responsibility of compilation onto devs, which naturally, they never do, so every DX12 game (or nearly) past 5 or so years had this issue.

A CPU may be listed as "20% faster." This isn't universal or concrete, a CPU may have a different infrastructure, it may have more cores, a different cache, CPUs generally don't scale linearly. I am told my CPU is 30% faster than another one, then I get nearly double the performance, it's not linear. This is just such a minor inconsequential (not to mention self-evident) fact, stop wasting my time.

And repeatedly I have told you this, because you are a dumb street shitting homosexual who is blatantly ignoring what my intent and view is, I hate shader compilation stutter, to the extent that I'd take lower FPS (even largely) just to avoid it. Calling you poor is a jab, it's rhetoric, it's not important.

Look at the actual gaming performance.
                3600 runs DD2 like shit
                5600 runs DD2 like shit
Even 7800X3D runs DD2 like shit considering how much of an upgrade it is over 3600.
Intel equivalents are just as bad.

All I see that my 3600 needs an upgrade and no CPU currently on the market will satisfy the need of actual 60 fps for the rest of this generation.
At least I'm aware of this, instead of coping like a homosexual.
I called DD2 to run like shit on pretty much any CPU as soon as they showed requirements last year, and got constantly called tech illiterate by the very same coping homosexuals.

I still vehemently believe DS2 could be fixed by some filters and post processing and minor touch ups. Like it has these actually good looking areas like Majula and Heide's Tower of Flame, in addition to small glimpses here and there of what they were trying to do. And no I don't mean awful reshade shit it would have to be done properly, but it would work. I think.

DS2 has some of the most interesting ideas in the series, but the content of the game itself is incredibly poor relative to DS1 or even DS3. Its development was a disaster, and it shows. The DLC is better than the base game. Whether you think it's mechanically sound or not is personal preference, but a lot of people dislike its mechanics as well.

PS5 isn't using DX, sony has their own API, after all game is backward compatible between PS4 and PS5. Shader compilation is only a thing on PC because it's not fixed platform.
DX11 also has shader compilation but the driver took care of it instead of game dev.

Clearly I should stop trying to retell a video I watched 3 years ago but I'm pretty sure they made the point that the older API PS4 used, when running on PS5, made it free from stutter, which as you said must be the traversal stuff, that still plague all other versions even with full local shaders. That plus it runs great because it's tuned for old hardware but running on a PS5.

Yup, ER has a lot of traversal stutter, it doesn't go away even after running through the same area multiple times unlike "shader" stutter on PC. But because PS4 version has a lot less objects and low LOD it's not as severe on PS5.

The game engine Sekiro and Elden Ring uses appears to render the world in chunks/sections depending on where the player currently is.

The PS4 just uses LODs. LODs, range from high-resolution models for close-up views to simplified versions with fewer polygons for distant or small representations. By using lower-detail models for objects far from the camera, developers can optimize performance without sacrificing visual quality.
