Why is it a flop? Normies still bought it, modders will still fix it, and Bethesda made money from the impressionable fools who make up their fanbase. And morons like you will keep talking about it.
>Sometimes I feel like Ganker is living in an alternate dimension
That's because Ganker is like 80% bots. The louder people are, the more likely they're lying. When you see so much insistence on a claim that feels like it should be the other way around, it probably is. And everyone knew (and knows) instinctively that any Bethesda game is going to make bank. Because that's just how it is.
it is the most fake and manufactured anti-shill campaign I have ever seen.
They think it is shit like flopspoken but the criticism of that game actually matched the quality of it.
With Starfiled they are losing their minds because so many people bought it and are still playing it and this goes against their narrative.
This game mind broke these people. Completely and utterly mind broke them.
>companies boast about sales when a game does well >companies use mental gymnastics and loopholes or just outright refuse to print out numbers like Blizzard
procgen was a fricking mistake. i've watched in depth reviews and most of the game looks boring, under cooked and soulless. i'd sooner replay outer worlds than update windows for this. >modders will still fix it
i'm not so sure about that. i fricking hope so, but it looks like large chunks of the game need to be reworked from the ground up. i'll keep an eye out tho, maybe in a couple years the elder god autists will have pulled something decent out of their ass to salvage this bland hulk, that is if bethesda left them anything under the hood to work with.
>soulless
Comes with the territory. NMS had the exact same problem, except the other parts of the game were actually tolerable and you could not only dive underwater, but build an underwater fricking base.
this reminds me of the No Man's Sky reddit post where two people said "omg! we found each other in the game! now we're playing together :)" and it was really them standing in the same spot in their own single player instances

yeah, 2 years later.
I still wont forgive the lies of Sean. Yes, Ive seen Internet Historians video, and no I dont agree that the lies were fine because "muh introvert". He is still a liar in my eyes
You know that valve video where Soldier is acting surprised/impressed by Spy saying "this is a bucket"?
Because you live in the sort of world where a surreal situation like that can actually be experienced.
>It happens very frequently in Starfield.
So frequently no one ever recreated that webm despite some autist taunting everyone posting it for over a week.
no, most games don't have maps that are made up of randomized tilesets that have no measures to prevent such blatant repetition while also claiming to be about exploration
bethesda literally spent the past decade not making games but making tools that allow them be as lazy as humanly possible when making games
give them another 16 years and bethesda titles will be fully procedurally generated
i think it's possible that D4 was even bigger because of the expectations on the series.
based on what i've seen it looks a bit better result than Cyberpunk's release but not as big of a flop as D4.
>Laran
Larian and I have no idea why people ride their dick so hard, the divinity OS games were trash and BG3 isn’t much better based on what my friends have told me, I certainly won’t be buying it to find out. Burned twice is too much for me. I agree about From, though, I wish they’d step out of their comfort zone.
I legit love visiting and surveying random planets
Just got the Galactic Radio mod so now I can even listen to space Joe Rogan rambling while scanning stuff and killing spacers
I mean it's sold a trillion copies and a lot of people are talking about it. I don't really care for the game myself I never got hyped for it but nobody I've heard has said it's a flop.
For years, since FO4 and even since Skyrim, Bethesda fans have been begging for
>.Less handholding >More RPG elements (skill checks, backgrounds, etc.) >More speech checks >More diverse quest design >Deeper factions >Denser cities and settlements
And that's exactly what this game delivers? Plus all the other fixes to age-old Creation Engine issues like no frame rate cap, better animations, ledge-grabbing, visible holstered weapons, better lighting, etc.
But all of the discussion about this game seems to focus on a couple of elements- manual landing on planets, manual flying to other systems- that, in my experience at least, it's pretty easy to get over once you've played past literally the first two missions? Those don't really "ruin" the game in the slightest, especially compared to all of the other improvements from the last few Bethesda games.
you replied to my basedjak which was mocking OP's pic with gaslighting me by implying I have mental issues and need help which means you obviously are defending starslop. don't play dumb.
>Story sucks, so i've decided to just take over a planet and be a spacepirate in that system >I land on a planet, walk around slowly to find a cool spot to build my base >Spend 3 hours to figure out how the settlement system works and to build something cool >Ran out of materials >Fly to an other planet to buy the supplies I need to build some more >Return to my home base >Every foliage and natural prop got regenerated by the game >Huge rocks clipping trough my structures and they're even preventing me to enter my front door >Exit game >Uninstall
What exactly is a particle beam?
I get lasers, they’re heat, I get bullets, they’re projectiles, I get particle beams are a bit of both, it seems the damage is caused by an orb(?). Is it plasma? Why not call it plasma? If its plasma then why the “beam” in the name? They also leave a trail of light like lasers do with one part at the end of a shot being orange in contrast with blue. Laser bullets? I can’t seem to find anyone defining what they are online either.
Photons are particles so it’s probably that but somehow condensed enough to cause a ballistic impact. Lasers on the other hand deal damage by searing through matter. The perk emphasizes this with the burn effect
The fact that Starfield causes so much seethe pretty much proves that it's not a bad game because if it was, you would just move on and play something else but here we are 4 weeks later and there are still people angry that it's a successful good game.
Stop making this same thread every day moron
BLOODY BASTAR b***h DO NOT REDEEM THE BALDUR

It’s a flop because it’s dogshit

You not liking the game doesn't make it a flop. If anything it kind of makes you look like a dipshit who doesn't know what the word means
A flop it's when it sells poorly you moron. It's a piece of shit game, but not a flop.
procgen was a fricking mistake. i've watched in depth reviews and most of the game looks boring, under cooked and soulless. i'd sooner replay outer worlds than update windows for this.

Dude in OP's pic accidentally found starfield

No Man's Sky actually added multiplayer though.

I still wont forgive the lies of Sean. Yes, Ive seen Internet Historians video, and no I dont agree that the lies were fine because "muh introvert". He is still a liar in my eyes
It's janky. I can't see my friend's frigate and he can't see mine. Points of interest can only be looted by one person so what's the point?
We don't even join each other's game any more because all the containers that you fuel get emptied afterwards.
I didn't play the game, can someone explain why this reddit post is supposed to be bad?
because there's nothing there
Being utterly amazed at a crater that is seemingly nothing but a spectacle.
You know that valve video where Soldier is acting surprised/impressed by Spy saying "this is a bucket"?
Because you live in the sort of world where a surreal situation like that can actually be experienced.
Probably.
It is objectively not a flop at all
Whats so good about a shitty desert with a crater in it. Fricking moronic game
Its like covering for the buyer remorse so hard
>this video game map
>isn’t featureless and has a landscape
idgi, Mario 64 had hills and rivers and shit what is this supposed to be?
game is pretty fricking good, not their fault people addicted to their mobile log everyday simulators
cope and seethe broke brains

OMFG CRATERS
Stupid imbeciles
You wouldn't get it
Shit swallower
There are no real mountains in starfield, moron. Your holes and shitty hills are nothing.
>see that mountain? You can't climb it because of the invisible wall, and even if you could you'll find a copy of it 10 minutes later!
>Another deserted helium facility
Huh, you don’t say
what an embarrassment.
This is just unlucky RNG, happens all the time in video games.
It happens very frequently in Starfield. Main story locations are even genned and not unique.
>It happens very frequently in Starfield.
So frequently no one ever recreated that webm despite some autist taunting everyone posting it for over a week.
no, most games don't have maps that are made up of randomized tilesets that have no measures to prevent such blatant repetition while also claiming to be about exploration

you literally can't make this shit up

Wokefield
ICANT
>Was starfield the biggest flop in history
This is what paid sony shills & bots want you to believe.
literally not even the biggest flop in bethesda history let alone in gaming history
did you forget about fallout 76?
i don't think the game looks very good but you TORtanic people are unhinged
>I-i-it's not a-as bad as fallout 76
Wow, what an achievement for bethesda.
I think Fallout 76 is pretty good now though.
No, but it's a flop. And a lot of people are suffering from severe sunk cost on this.
Seems like actual gamers like it so... prolly not.
i think it's possible that D4 was even bigger because of the expectations on the series.
based on what i've seen it looks a bit better result than Cyberpunk's release but not as big of a flop as D4.

not really.
Starfield didn't kill it's studio, Forspoken did.
Quality wise? Considering expectations, yes. It feels like a half-finished game, and a boring one at that.
Sales wise? Definitely not. Not even the biggest flop this year.
>le HECCIN EPIC Reddit post screencap
