Don't care, Remake has better level design, resource management, routing options, combat, puzzles, progression, replayability, challenge modes etc etc
OG has, good story and dialogues? idk lol
There is Nothing that the original RE does better than the REmake. It's how the game was meant to be from the outset; the developers just couldn't realize it at the time. the original is basically a beta for the REmake
The Resident Evil 1 Remake is dogshit, I'm talking about the modern ones (not 3).
The Resident Evil 1 Remake is an insulting bastardization of what made the original game so appealing while trying to make it more appealing to a casual audience that doesn't actually care about RE.
They set the bar of the story so high in that game. You wanted that big "lets end Umbrella once and for all game" and then the very next game you learn Umbrella died in the begging text of RE 4. The closest we got to that game was a shitty mission in Umbrella Chronicles.
Also I think blowing up Raccoon City was a narrative mistake. There were more games to milk out of that if they just kept it quarantined.
So it looks like RE 5 will be the next remake. The question is will they include co-op? I think they won't. I think at times Sheva will just follow you controlled by AI and they were testing that with Luis in RE4.
I really wish they kept that logo to RE2 remake, and MAYBE 3. They should have come up with something more faithful to 4's, but at least the title shows people its just another super serious dark and gritty remake
How do you even make box art for Resident Evil before it became popular and had name recognition? The first game was lucky to be successful because the box art back then told you nothing about the game.
Unrelated but should i play RE2 remake or the Original next? I absolutely loved Remake 1, but i feel like losing the fixed camera and tank controls will lose a ton of atmosphere.
In original games characters don't even comment on every situation so you can't understand what's happening
Yeah they do. It just wasn't voiced and you have to press examine, dumb dumb.
Those were short thoughts. Not something like
>Stay the frick down, Type B zombie body!
Why did they still localize them as Resident Evil? That title only works for the first game.
How do you figure?
name recognition is more important
They went with the plain logo of the original.
I prefer it tbh.
this cover is dogshit, there I said it, always was, I got no nostalgia for this piece of shit

I don't even think you know what game your talking about, get outta here fake fan
kvno
western slop
>kvno
what?
The resident evil series has just become COD with a slightly longer Dev phase at this point.
I just want them to end the story of all the main characters and start fresh and I say this as someone who grew up with them.
Biohazard ended at 3.

Yup, even I struggle thinking about how it would continue from there. It was inevitable, I guess.
Degeneration was a great continuation of the story at least.
The airport movie? God no. None of those animated abortions has ever added anything positive to the story. Just some cool set pieces.
>He doesn't know
Capcom just can't into art anymore, even series not RE just look like they take place in RE now
who cares about that
they removed the "RESIDENT EVILLLLL" from the start menu in all the games
that's the bigger crime here
It was corny and a relic of the past.
You're corny

the top down tank control RE games are the scariest shit for me. I also fricking hate the controls which is why i can't play them.

Why was American marketing and box art always so cringe?
European and Japanese boxart have always been way better than the US
How do you even make box art for Resident Evil before it became popular and had name recognition? The first game was lucky to be successful because the box art back then told you nothing about the game.
Aren't those RE2 and RE3 logos an American thing? I remember the classic RE1-3 logos in Europe were as minimalistic as the Japanese ones
Unrelated but should i play RE2 remake or the Original next? I absolutely loved Remake 1, but i feel like losing the fixed camera and tank controls will lose a ton of atmosphere.
go back and play OG RE.
If you can't be assed, go with OG RE2. 2Make is a good game but very different from the classic REs
If you can stomach the OG one and enjoy it then start there.
Yes, they looked really gay. The new is much more in line with the original title treatment.
