If it's a friend and I trust him, then I wouldn't mind. I had a few gay friends back in college and there's only one of them that somewhat give an impression of getting too close, so I avoided him. I don't live in burgerland so they don't necessarily crossdress or act annoying anyway.
In this situation. If you're dealing with an actual homosexual you don't even waste time with questions.
You stay quiet, wait for him to fall asleep and silently take him out for everyone (including his own)'s sake
>Sleep near a girl >"Just to be clear, you're not going to rape me in the night, right?"
It's a stupid question. Like what possible answer might you be expecting?
I want to say my friends are at least decent enough to feel up or worse me, but one of 'em's something 'twixt a transvestite and a gay. Wouldn't feel safe sleeping in the same house.
>Should it be removed from the game because it could be seen as offensive?
No.
Speaking as someone who had to share a bed with a gay dude for a few days, no. >mfw the other 2 guys did rock, paper, scissors for the pull out couch bed and the loser slept on the floor
No, I'd order them rather than ask like a pansy homosexual. No bum drilling. If they're too moronic to understand the consequence that's their future problem.
I hope he embraces his homosexuality in the remake, so he can open up as a romance option.
You homosexuals clearly never played the game.
I've played through P4 multiple times and I still don't know if Kanji is suppose to be gay or not.
Kanji is not gay, he is Adachi 2.0 in making. Not homo, but potential incel. He has daddy issues and very conflicted emotions because his dad died while he was only a kid and because he was heavily bullied for being into tailoring and crafts, which is his family's craft (it's completely normal for children to follow parents footsteps and take over their business in future), and is seen as girly guy or homosexual by peers just because of that.
Him hanging out with Naoto was not him being homosexual but rather his natural instinct kicking and recognizing potential mating partner (Naoto has biggest sex appeal of all main cast and she's very insecure about it)
He has a crush on Naoto who pretends to be a boy, so he thinks he likes boys.
Also the mc can cuck him and you can get a rare event where he looks depressed about it
Why does Kanji get a nosebleed when the guys are in their swim trunks around the waterfall?
>Kanji is not gay, he is Adachi 2.0 in making.
Actually that is Yosuke. If you listen to the shit Adachi says in symbiosis with his shadow and the stuff Yosuke's shadow says the parallels between the two are insane. If Yosuke had never met (Yu), made friends and confronted his shadow, he very well could have found himself consumed by boredom with the idea that nobody really cares. May have even become just like Adachi.
The point of the game is that anyone of these characters could end up like adachi if not for forming real bonds with others
But for Yosuke in particular the two are exceptionally similar, down to being the plucky sidekick who tries to act happy-go-lucky. Their dark sides are almost exactly the same. All of them were in danger of being consumed by their shadow, but Yosuke and Adachi could practically be the same person at different stages in their life.
By that logic Yukiko is equally as likely to be Adachi. Heck, you could make an argument for all of them like anon said. >Rise fails to rise in the industry due to her own failures, blames others instead of looking towards self improvement and resents the talented people based on the idols who rose above her >Naoto starts losing faith in her ability to become a detective after personal failures and starts resenting the male law enforcement perceiving them in the same way Adachi does talent >Kanji takes a similar path as Adachi just replace the cop job with delinquents for the sense of power he wanted >Chie lives comfortably for the most part, but grows to resent the talented people and harbour jealous feelings due to her best friends success
The point of Adachi is that he is a failure who blames other people and never accepts his own faults. Unironically like the Adachi Joker memes, everyone is just one bad day away from turning out like him because Adachi is just a normal person.
Anon I'm not arguing the characters are kind of similar. I'm arguing Yosuke and Adachi are practically the same. Even thematically they bookend eachother with Yosuke being the first Shadow and Adachi being the last. Adachi is Evil Adult Yosuke.

I know what you're arguing, I'm highlighting how that isn't the case by attempting to show how everyone else reaches the same endpoint. As people Adachi and Yosuke aren't that similar, the only thing they really have in common is pretending to be people they're not and being bored of their situation. The actual goals and reasons for doing it are completely different though. Yosuke wants people to like him, Adachi doesn't value other people and only pretends because it's easier to do that. He is a foil to Yosuke, but only because he's specifically supposed to be the opposite of the whole game's themes and Yosuke is a good character that embodies them.
Also Adachi does not really have a Shadow until Arena Ultimax seemingly because he fully accepts the "twisted" version, but the reason isn't actually given to my knowledge.

> He is a foil to Yosuke, but....
No buts. They are literally the same archetype. Goofy clumsy lanky dude nobody takes seriously and plays second fiddle to the point of being ignored. So unbearably average that nobody would really notice them. Adachi is just a normal guy. Yosuke is just a normal guy. They are the most normal people in town. The most unnoticeable. Not too plain (Yukiko) not too extra (Kanji). Just. Average.
>only thing they really have in common is pretending to be people they're not and being bored of their situation
Actually this is a really big deal. This isn't just a vague thing they are both mildly bothered by. This is what both of their shadows talk about. The difference is that Adachi has literally become his shadow. He fully believes his inner fears that nobody cares and his entire personality is dictated by this. It twisted him into a killer. He isn't in conflict with his shadow. His shadow won. They bookend eachother to the point when Yosuke calls out Adachi in the confrontation he may as well have been talking to HIS shadow.
Every character could have become twisted and the point is they had to make friends, sure. Sure there are parallels between all the characters and they paint greater themes relating to society and small town Japan and really the meaning of life in general. The difference here is that Adachi and Yosuke are the exact same archetype. Adachi wasn't a restricted woman who lost it because she played it too safe. Adachi isn't a hypermasculine dude who started killing because he though everyone thinks he is a homo. Adachi isn't killing people because of too much pressure from his parents. Adachi isn't a silent protag. etc.
Adachi did give into his boredom and ideas that nobody including himself cares. Just like Yosuke is afraid of. Just like who Yosuke never wants to be. Just like his shadow.
This scene is funny as frick, I've never gotten what the big deal is. They're teenagers and even then out of the main party Yosuke is by far the most immature. >t. actually homosexual.
People are literally seething about inane shit like P3 guy potentially having a relationship with his teacher, of course they're gonna be mad about a protagonist being homophibic
The scene that really pisses me off is the Amagi Inn scene. It's so unnecessarily cruel to the guys that it stops being funny, and the girls never apologize or make amends for it. It's in contrast to Persona 3's (where you can escape unharmed) and Persona 5's (where the girls admit they got the times wrong and apologize without confrontation).
He has a crush on Naoto who pretends to be a boy, so he thinks he likes boys.
Also the mc can cuck him and you can get a rare event where he looks depressed about it
He's also conflicted because of his hobbies, that are stereotypically female. Him and Naoto are all about sexism, but people can't read and think they're about sexual identity/preference.
kanji is a rare case of a perfect storm of events pushing a man into thinking he's gay, and him lashing at it is also the culmination of a lifetime of bullying and bad examples >father told him to fricking "be a man" >but he likes sewing >lmaoo what a weirdo he's hella gay probably >bullied nonstop >I-I'm not gay! I'm going full punk kid to hide my insecurities >one day naoto, suddenly a guy, appears in front of him and wants to get to know him >this raises all kinds of alarms for kanji, who finds him (soon to be her) cute >frick, maybe I am gay >kidnapping happens >inaba rumors + TV world amplify and blow out of proportion the whole thing >his dungeon is about being flamboyant and gay as a result, throwing him even way more off
It was such a perfect and well written shitstorm and it angers me that they will completely butcher it in the remake to appeal to all these western homosexuals; same with naoto (and ESPECIALLY with naoto)
fat jokes gone, gay jokes gone, and who knows maybe the ultimate homosexual vengeance will be making yosuke gay too
it's all so tiresome
Yosuke was planned to at least possibly a homosexual, and shit like this has precedent in Persona, since P2's MC Tatsuya can be a homosexual with his friend Jun if the player wants to, but you don't hear homosexuals here complaining about that
Kanji is confused because after a whole life's worth of pretending to be something he's not, he fell for a reverse trap. Whether falling in love with a girl despite thinking he's a guy is gay or not is up to your judgement, I'd say he's just a freedom chad, feeling his true feelings despite all of the social norms telling him not to
ultimately, the only dude he had any feelings for turned out to be a girl, so i'd say he's naturally straight, as he found a female appealing. yosuke makes him look gayer than he is, ironically because yosuke is more insecure in all of that than kanji is
He has a crush on Naoto who pretends to be a boy, so he thinks he likes boys.
Also the mc can cuck him and you can get a rare event where he looks depressed about it
Yeah, it makes sense he likes Naoto, they have the same problems with other people.
>obsessed mentally ill morons still post this obviously fraudulent "study" where the "straight men" involved were all ultra-conservative cultists who hated gays because their religion told them to
yes. homosexuals are inherently dangerous, their so called ""sexuality"" is in fact a deranged schizophrenic mental illness. it is NOT normal to be a homosexual, and they should not be treated normal. that doesn't mean all of them are violent or rapists, but more of them are than normal (straight) people
This is a Jap sexuality trope than a dab on homos. Dudes who aren't considered herbivore scum by society are overwhelmingly expected to not be able to control themselves when sleeping next to or being in an intimate setting with whomever they're attracted to. Yosuke (wrongfully) assumes he'd be like that around girls, so he's projecting that onto the guy he thinks is gay.
Chie isn't yukiko's dominatrix
Yukiko isn't really a prisoner
Teddie isn't really an empty shell
Naoto isn't an android
Rise isn't a prostitute
Yosuke isn't a misanthrope
And Kanji isn't gay
Chie is afraid she is a bad friend to Yukiko.
Yukiko is afraid of turning her back on her family to find herself.
Teddie is afraid that he isn't real.
Naoto is afraid people won't accept her if she steps out of line, to the point she hides being a woman.
Rise is afraid that she has given too much of herself to the public.
Yosuke is afraid of being ungrateful. (And in this scene he is afraid of Kanji because he is like all the midwits who think his shadow means he was gay.)
The shadow self is not the true self. It is a festering fear that hinders their personality. It is a flaw. Kanji's fear of being seen as a homosexual holds him back from being who he really is.
Kanji is really a tough masculine guy who likes being crafty. That is who he is. Even arguing how straight he is misses the point. But he is the one who is into the big titted tomboy supercop so I'll let you rub those braincells together.
From what I also understand, the shadow of themselves could be either:
- an exaggeration of their fear and/or insecurity. For example, specifically in this thread, Shadow Kanji is an exaggeration of Kanji's insecurity about liking stuff that is considered "girly" or "feminine." Shadow Kanji saying he likes guys more because guys won't discriminate against him is also a lie because, as with everyone else (except for the protagonist party), he was avoided for being a menace to society, a.k.a., a troublemaking delinquent.
- other people's perceptions and/or consciousness affecting the shadow. As revealed in the end content of the game progression, you found out that the reason why people appear in the midnight channel is because of people's consciousness to see something they want to see, in particular, an individual that is currently trending. What everyone is thinking of; that would be picked up by the midnight channel and shown to them. The earliest example that actually makes sense to this is Rise's initial midnight channel, where rather than just the normal visage that the other "victims" have shown, for Rise, it is her in a swimsuit, indicating that there are loads of people thinking specifically of her in a swimsuit attire, or, to be more sophisticated, of her allures as a woman.
Jesus Christ. It's the parts of their personality that they repress and/or hide. It's the literal Jungian Shadow. That's it. It's a really simple concept.
Kanji repressed his desires to cast aside his defensive exterior and openly yearn for acceptance without the need to censor parts of himself to do it. The homoeroticism is his internalization of what accepting those censored parts would mean, whether that's because he actually likes dudes, or because he considers his hobbies to be gay shit, is up to interpretation. Considering how direct his Shadow is about wanting affection from men, and how much gay shit Kanji does on his own, I would say he's bi, but there's an argument there.
The perception stuff is explicitly NOT their Shadows, it's why the real Shadow only appears once the victim is in the T.V., and why the fake "Shadow Namatame" starts going all "Boy, I sure do love killing kids, yes sir, that's a thing I love" after the real Shadow already possessed Namatame, did his saviour schtick, was defeated, and Namatame was extracted from the T.V.
The projections on the Midnight Channel are completely separate from their Shadows.
>whether that's because he actually likes dudes, or because he considers his hobbies to be gay shit, is up to interpretation
No its not. Kanji never says this. He explicitly states that he doesnt like guys a couple of times. Kanji is literally never interested in a guy at any point in the game. Ever. Stupid motherfricker. Your headcanon sucks.
You're right, his repressed self was a raging homosexual because he loves pussy so much.

That wasnt really him. Kanjo even slaps the shit out of his shadow and tells him to stfu iirc. But, I guess you might be right. As we all know, Kanji got out of the closet and became a raging homosexual after being rescued from the tv world. Like, remember when he asks Rise to ask Daisuke if he was interested in anyone? Or the maybe the scene where the girls plus Kanji go shopping in Okina city? I specifically remember the scene in Kanji's sl where he admits he loves senpai and you get to choose whether you tell him you love him or turn him down. His romance sl path is really memorable, and it happens only because Kanji is of course gay.

That's a lot of gay fanfiction you just wrote there. How about the canon stuff, like still considering going out with Naoto when he thought she was a dude? Hindsight doesn't make that less gay. Or the constant attraction to Yu and comments about his body? Or the overblown need to prove he's not thinking any gay thoughts by freaking out and running to the nearest female in the middle of the night and passing out from the stress. Or the literal manifestation of his inner self saying "I want to bang dudes"?
But no, maybe you're right, he's just a good old straight boy trawling around to get that puss, never had a gay thought in his head, never a doubt to be had.

It's not fanfic. Its things that would've happened if your stupid headcanon of Kanji being gay were true, but not of it did because you are DECIDEDLY WRONG. >you're right
Yes. I know im right. Kanji isnt gay. Nobody anywhere in the game, or other official sources have ever said that Kanji is gay. The only ones that cling to this bs are hyper morons like you that need some of that ''muh representation'' like it were some sort of crack, or else you literally can't enjoy a piece entertainment because youre operating with a dysfunctional sick brain.

Misrepresentations are not evidence, mr. "he is gay because I say he is gay". All you need to do is show a single piece of reputable evidence that Kanji is gay, and you'll be right. Show an image directly from the game where Kanji says he is gay. Show a quote of a dev stating that Kanji is gay. ONE SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE. Just one. Post it.
Otherwise, just kys now. You worthless b***hass homosexual.

but despite the entire argument being centered on Kanj having complex and unresolved bi-curiosity, now you've moved the goal posts and only openly admitting to being homosexual evidence of being gay. Which just continues to make you come across as the most closeted self hating homophobe imaginable, which while very funny, puts us at the point where we go in circles and you keep moving those goal posts until I get bored and stop responding, so I'll jump right to the end of that.

You're right that was uncalled for, you just wrote multiple fan fiction scenarios about Kanji getting into homosexual romances, vehemently deny that someone can be gay unless they openly admit it, and claim there's nothing gay about some bros being naked together covered in roses. You're a fricking moron. Kanji was insecure because he was worried that liking cute things meant he was gay (as well as everyone treating him like he was gay) but he faced his shadow and realized that he can like cute things and still be straight and his attraction to Naoto didn't change at all after finding out that she was a woman. It is funny that homosexuals like you ignore the nuance of shit like that because you're so starved for "representation" that you'll ignore the actual point of the character. It doesn't have to be as black and white as you mentally ill homosexuals think. Men can like girly shit and Women can like manly shit without being a homosexual or a troony but that concept is lost on you clowns.
I'll be honest: this is the first time I've heard of 'Jungian Shadow', so thank you for telling me that. I'm not fully disagreeing with you either, but I only said that their shadow "could" be an exaggeration of their repressed feeling, boosted to the max. Like some of their shadows are just straight up going beyond what their original repressed feelings should have been.
Like, for example:
- Chie's Shadow is a representation of Chie's repressed feeling of wanting to be relied upon by Yukiko, but it became exaggerated by making it seem that Chie wanted to control Yukiko for herself.
- Yukiko's Shadow represented her feeling of being trapped in a cage of traditions and wanting to be free from it, but it exaggerated it by making it seem that she was a princess trapped in a castle, and the only way that she could escape it was to get hitched by the prince charming.
- As with Kanji, I do agree with your initial part about what his repressed feeling is, but I personally think that his shadow self exaggerated it and made it seem that he wanted deep down to be an extreme prancing homosexual degenerate.
and so on, so on. Arguably, with Shadow Namatame, it exaggerated his feeling of saving people from their fated demise into him as a savior saint of the world.
It's not that it's boosted, it's that it's ONLY that part of them. Like Yosuke for example, yeah, he resents moving to Inaba, and he did see the murders as a way to escape the boredom, but he also loved Inaba and cared for what's her face. These aren't mutually exclusive feelings, but the Shadow is just the parts he won't accept, so you're left with JUST an butthole, not the parts that temper him into a decent person.
Also Shadow Namatame is EXPLICITLY just the projections of the Investigation Squad, they straight up say so. It makes more sense if that was also Disco G0-T0 amping things up to make the image so clear, but that's never stated anywhere, so don't take that as canon.
Kanji's fear of being seen as a homosexual holds him back from being who he really is.

yes, based anti-lgbt homosexual game
If it is such an easy concept then why do people like you keep getting it wrong? The story clearly shows that he is afraid of how people perceive him and his hobbies and his desire to be accepted by anyone. He plays into his bad reputation for acceptance which is why he is mortified by his shadow acting like a a flaming sissy. Making it about his sexuality ignores all context and is frankly lazy. Kanji is homphobic in a literal sense.
>They don't actually think those things, they're AFRAID they think those things
Literally Every Party Member: "You're right, I do think those things."
Gee, I wonder which one is right?
Yeah it's not all about his sexuality, in fact, by far the most important aspect of Kanji's arc is exactly the points you mentioned, but when it's brought on by a romantic misunderstanding, creates a dungeon that is explicitly sexual, and the Shadow itself is overtly homoerotic, to say all of those aspects don't mean anything, it's just a coincidence, is absurdity.
I had an acquaintance we joked he was "gay" and shit because he alwayd had this weird physical teasing but nothing else to note.
But for some reason neither me or my roomate ever let him stay at our place, even though back then we let almost literal junkie hobos stick around.
Fast forward one day this dude stayed at a handsome classmate after we drank too much. Said guy woke up with this "gay" dude sucking his dick lmfao.
We never saw him again.
>implying you dont get defensive when another man talks you in that gay faked softer more sassy voice
It's weird as frick, like frick off man leave me alone I'm not gonna suck your wiener or let you suck mine, dont talk to me like im a pet. This way of acting and changing their voice is by far the grossest act some gays partake in, if they didnt do this I wouldnt mind them.
Yes. These scene is a fairly accurate depiction of how teenage boys act, especially in the 2000s. Most people look at this through a modern lens where you are expected to be more politically correct.
Many people overlook the fact that Yosuke also doesn't make jabs like later on and does ease up on Kanji later. This scene happens right after Kanji joins, but the team's relationships are supposed to improve overtime. You can tell by all the cutscene with the fool arcana how the team's friendship grows overtime.
Hey, if a woman can feel unsafe sleeping in the same room as a man because muh rape, a man can feel unsafe sleeping with a gay because those guys will ACTUALLY drug you and rape you.
Who is the real gay here, let's be serious now. Kanji say Naoto and she said that she was interested in him, so Kanji felt conflicted because he thought Naoto was cute but he was a guy so wtf? At the end, Kanji was validated when it turned out Naota was a girl and they both have a spark there, needless to say unless you betray Kanji and ateal Naoto, then they will end up together. Yosuke on the other hand, is always talking about girls, yet have you ever seen him with one? I dont think so. I think its clear that Yosuke is hiding something ina closet. Konishi and Yukiko automatically reject him because they can sense something is off there, and the rest of the girls dont even register him as a potential partner for the same reason. Just saying.
I think it’s fine. We were all like this as a kid. It’s just a child’s mindset.
It’s not until we get older that we do realise how absurd it is to treat them any differently and in actuality gay people are less of a threat that straight people. I also think that why they are so celebrated today.
I'm playing through the game a second time in japanese right now and I feel like kanji actually seems straighter in this. I remember thinking he seemed kind of queer still when I played it in english. yosuke however comes across a little light in the loafers. Mostly because hes constantly stuttering and getting worked up about gay stuff. His social link also feels more like you could read it either way, though I feel like that kind of subtlety of the japanese 'like' always bites westerners in the ass because it just exists in its own little ecosystem of nuance. I'm still interpreting all this thru my english brain so I might just be clicking into things I perceive as nuance which aren't intended that way. language is very interesting once you punch past that steel wall of the literal and start digging your hands around in the endless humus of idiomatic expression.
>stupid
"omg this is so offensive this needs to be removed immediately this is disgusting i will give this no other thought i am outraged" >smart
"i understand that this could be offensive to some but this is exactly the kind of thing stupid, insecure teenagers who are in the process of figuring out who they are and confronting how they are perceived by others would say. these characters grow as the game progresses and much like society as a whole today, they learn how to better treat people so it is nice that this progressiveness is reflected in game"
It would be alright if it just happened one time, but Yosuke still brings up Kanji's sexuality multiple times despite him knowing it's one of his biggest insecurities. After the first time it does come across as Yosuke being a dick to Kanji for no good reason, and it gets to the point where Chie has to call him out on his behavior. It's not like Yosuke lacks common sense, since he knows when he's made people upset like when he came back after awakening his persona, he just enjoys poking at people's weaknesses.
It's such a strange thing to make him to do, as he becomes introspective during the course of his social link, and hates when others try to poke at old wounds. There's this huge dissonance between main story and social link dynamics, and it's awful.
you mean you wouldn't ask the same question if you were to sleep next to a prancing giga doublehomosexual homoman?
I am the prancing giga doublehomosexual homoman.
Am I gonna be safe alone with you?
Then you'd know everyone will ask
Anon!
Yusuke isn't like that, he just has bad luck with women
>Yusuke
If it's a friend and I trust him, then I wouldn't mind. I had a few gay friends back in college and there's only one of them that somewhat give an impression of getting too close, so I avoided him. I don't live in burgerland so they don't necessarily crossdress or act annoying anyway.
rent free
I would have let him, haha
No why would you assume the worst from your friends?
They're barely friends at that point in the story
>friends with a homosexual
that's a (you) problem
I know kanji isn't a gay
I'm not a child so I have nothing to worry about.
In this situation. If you're dealing with an actual homosexual you don't even waste time with questions.
You stay quiet, wait for him to fall asleep and silently take him out for everyone (including his own)'s sake
I will think twice before sleeping near a homosexual or just sleep behind him so i don't end up in recieving end
t. Guy with a bisexual gay friend
>Sleep near a girl
>"Just to be clear, you're not going to rape me in the night, right?"
It's a stupid question. Like what possible answer might you be expecting?
>making fun of homosexuals
>stupid questions
no
Well, you want to be sure right? Can never be too careful.
whats wrong with that? all men are potential rapists, they only have a single braincell and it only thinks about one thing
I would
have sex with him
I want to say my friends are at least decent enough to feel up or worse me, but one of 'em's something 'twixt a transvestite and a gay. Wouldn't feel safe sleeping in the same house.
>was it necessary?
No.
Kanji isn't even gay though
yes anon, you being the 15th person to reply to this bait will surely turn things around
>prancing giga doublehomosexual homoman
yes
>a teenage boy acts like a teenage boy in a game about high schoolers
WOAH HOW THE FRICK COULD ATLUS DO THIS! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE !
Ok reddit
The comedy derives from the fact that Kanji is actually straight and Yosuke is a obviously a homo
You homosexuals clearly never played the game.
Him hanging out with Naoto was not him being homosexual but rather his natural instinct kicking and recognizing potential mating partner (Naoto has biggest sex appeal of all main cast and she's very insecure about it)
Why does Kanji get a nosebleed when the guys are in their swim trunks around the waterfall?
he gets one from girls, moron
Anime trope about dudes seeing women in underwear or swimwear. Don't overanalyze it.
Read my post before you FRICKING reply to me
>Kanji is not gay, he is Adachi 2.0 in making.
May have even become just like Adachi.
>he very well could have found himself consumed by boredom with the idea that nobody really cares
you just described like 95% of men on Ganker
The point of the game is that anyone of these characters could end up like adachi if not for forming real bonds with others
But for Yosuke in particular the two are exceptionally similar, down to being the plucky sidekick who tries to act happy-go-lucky. Their dark sides are almost exactly the same. All of them were in danger of being consumed by their shadow, but Yosuke and Adachi could practically be the same person at different stages in their life.
By that logic Yukiko is equally as likely to be Adachi. Heck, you could make an argument for all of them like anon said.
>Rise fails to rise in the industry due to her own failures, blames others instead of looking towards self improvement and resents the talented people based on the idols who rose above her
>Naoto starts losing faith in her ability to become a detective after personal failures and starts resenting the male law enforcement perceiving them in the same way Adachi does talent
>Kanji takes a similar path as Adachi just replace the cop job with delinquents for the sense of power he wanted
>Chie lives comfortably for the most part, but grows to resent the talented people and harbour jealous feelings due to her best friends success
Is killing trannies morally correct?
Yosuke is too hot
Yosuke is a closet case and they should have kept his romance. Frick Hashino.
Hi gamingcirclejerk
>pushing his homoerotic scenarios on others
Yosuke was just looking out for the well being of the group, hes a real homie.
It's in contrast to Persona 3's (where you can escape unharmed) and Persona 5's (where the girls admit they got the times wrong and apologize without confrontation).
have a nice day
How about you die instead.
It's just dumb comedy that's unfair for the sake of comedy.
would've been based if holding the line actually worked
I've played through P4 multiple times and I still don't know if Kanji is suppose to be gay or not.
He's schrodinger's homosexual.
He has a crush on Naoto who pretends to be a boy, so he thinks he likes boys.
Also the mc can cuck him and you can get a rare event where he looks depressed about it
He's also conflicted because of his hobbies, that are stereotypically female. Him and Naoto are all about sexism, but people can't read and think they're about sexual identity/preference.
kanji is a rare case of a perfect storm of events pushing a man into thinking he's gay, and him lashing at it is also the culmination of a lifetime of bullying and bad examples
>father told him to fricking "be a man"
>but he likes sewing
>lmaoo what a weirdo he's hella gay probably
>bullied nonstop
>I-I'm not gay! I'm going full punk kid to hide my insecurities
>one day naoto, suddenly a guy, appears in front of him and wants to get to know him
>this raises all kinds of alarms for kanji, who finds him (soon to be her) cute
>frick, maybe I am gay
>kidnapping happens
>inaba rumors + TV world amplify and blow out of proportion the whole thing
>his dungeon is about being flamboyant and gay as a result, throwing him even way more off
It was such a perfect and well written shitstorm and it angers me that they will completely butcher it in the remake to appeal to all these western homosexuals; same with naoto (and ESPECIALLY with naoto)
fat jokes gone, gay jokes gone, and who knows maybe the ultimate homosexual vengeance will be making yosuke gay too
it's all so tiresome
Yosuke was planned to at least possibly a homosexual, and shit like this has precedent in Persona, since P2's MC Tatsuya can be a homosexual with his friend Jun if the player wants to, but you don't hear homosexuals here complaining about that
Kanji is confused because after a whole life's worth of pretending to be something he's not, he fell for a reverse trap. Whether falling in love with a girl despite thinking he's a guy is gay or not is up to your judgement, I'd say he's just a freedom chad, feeling his true feelings despite all of the social norms telling him not to
ultimately, the only dude he had any feelings for turned out to be a girl, so i'd say he's naturally straight, as he found a female appealing. yosuke makes him look gayer than he is, ironically because yosuke is more insecure in all of that than kanji is
Yeah, it makes sense he likes Naoto, they have the same problems with other people.
I hope he embraces his homosexuality in the remake, so he can open up as a romance option.
This, they shouldn't have cut Yosuke's romance route.
Honestly, I can see where they were going to with Yosuke as a romance option.
Gays rape men, most men don't rape other men.
To normal people seeing homosexuality is the same as watching scat porn
>To normal people seeing scat porn is the same as watching scat porn
it was maggots but maybe that too
So, do you feel the maggots right now?
Pretty much yeah
Why are straight men so attracted to maggots?
>obsessed mentally ill morons still post this obviously fraudulent "study" where the "straight men" involved were all ultra-conservative cultists who hated gays because their religion told them to
>just trust the science except when the science isnt convenient and I dont agree with it because it was done by bad people
Even moronic "Science rules!" jackasses understand the basic principles of unbiased sampling. Are you more moronic than even them?
nta but lmfao no they don't
>im not one of those morons, you are one of those morons!
Bravo, science man.
You're mentally ill, I recommend suicide.
>projecting this hard
I'm not even a homo, you dumbasses just keep falling for blatant propaganda because it aligns with your values
>who hated gays because their religion told them to
because no one could possibly have any other reason to hate gays, right?
I thought "ultra-conservative cultists" were all secretly gay? This story isn't adding up.
yes. homosexuals are inherently dangerous, their so called ""sexuality"" is in fact a deranged schizophrenic mental illness. it is NOT normal to be a homosexual, and they should not be treated normal. that doesn't mean all of them are violent or rapists, but more of them are than normal (straight) people
that's why there are so many prison rapes
"prison gay" is a mega cope
This is a Jap sexuality trope than a dab on homos. Dudes who aren't considered herbivore scum by society are overwhelmingly expected to not be able to control themselves when sleeping next to or being in an intimate setting with whomever they're attracted to. Yosuke (wrongfully) assumes he'd be like that around girls, so he's projecting that onto the guy he thinks is gay.
I ask the same thing if theres a gay gay in the same tent
>what do you think Kanji?
>think what?
>mean, his your type right
>oh, what you mean to say is "can you please beat the shit out of me kanji?"
people cant just handle banter anymore.
This scene convinced me yosuke is the real gay between them
Maybe he kept pressing Kanji's buttons to try to make him bust his closet's door open with his dick.
no way man
Why is Yosuke such a gay
Was this thread necessary?
Yes
It's necessary to remind persona 3 tourists how real persona game looks like
> This fricking thread again.
But what about Mitsuo's shadow?.
All of what you said is true except for Rise.
The projections on the Midnight Channel are completely separate from their Shadows.
>moron can't comprehend simple story and claims Kanji being gay
Nothing new
>whether that's because he actually likes dudes, or because he considers his hobbies to be gay shit, is up to interpretation
>He's completely straight because it doesn't play out like homosexual fantasies!
Well, that might be the most moronic argument I've ever heard, but at least it's more clear why you can't accept that Kanji might be gay after having a bunch of gay thoughts.
I already did here
but despite the entire argument being centered on Kanj having complex and unresolved bi-curiosity, now you've moved the goal posts and only openly admitting to being homosexual evidence of being gay. Which just continues to make you come across as the most closeted self hating homophobe imaginable, which while very funny, puts us at the point where we go in circles and you keep moving those goal posts until I get bored and stop responding, so I'll jump right to the end of that.
>i already did here
No, you didnt. Headcanon is not real. Do you have any real evidence or not? Post an image. Post a video. Something. You can shut me up real fast with just that one trick you know.
Okay. Here's a picture of Kanji's gay Shadow.
Congratulations. Now I remember how in this part of the game his shadow said to us "I am Kanji and im definitely gay and I as the shadow prove it".
Oh wait..
You're right, his two buff, naked friends are just roommates, and he has two male symbols because he's just twice the man.
Shadow Naoto's guns represent the wieners that she wishes she had too. Shadow Rise for sure means she wanted to be a pole dancer.
Ohhh...so Naoto is a robot like Aigis, okay now the game makes sense.
Damn, you're right, I forgot Naoto was half robot for literally no reason, because she never explicitly SAID that she was cutting off her emotions to fit into her job. Damn, why does this game do so many things that don't mean anything at all, just like how the dreams you have of having sex with men definitely don't mean you're gay!
>just like how the dreams you have of having sex with men definitely don't mean you're gay!
Everybody, I present to you the absolute state of gay homosexuals that just NEED Kanji to be gay. Absolutely embarrassing.
You're right that was uncalled for, you just wrote multiple fan fiction scenarios about Kanji getting into homosexual romances, vehemently deny that someone can be gay unless they openly admit it, and claim there's nothing gay about some bros being naked together covered in roses. It was rude of me to assume you dream about having sex with men and I apologize.
I've done all that apparently, and you havent done the simple request of posting one single piece of solid and official evidence that prove Kanji is gay.
Oh sorry, here
>ask for real evidence from official sources
>sources himself for the 3rd time
Why cant you just suck wieners irl in peace? Why do you need this fictional character to be gay with you?
But my source is the events in the game I referenced. I even showed you a picture afterwards, since you're apparently more of a visual learner.
Only one thing you said actually happened in the game, and you choose to put your own warped interpretation on it. That is not evidence. Now answer my question, why do you need Kanji to be gay with you?
>Nuh uh, that didn't happen!
Well that's a new one, and too moronic to deal with.
The question was, why do you need Kanji to be gay with you?
Hey man, you link your sexuality to whatever you need to get through the day. Me? I just played the game and understood the story
Stop deflecting and projecting. Were not in police interrogation room here. There are no lawyers. Were in Ganker, so just answer the question, why do you need Kanji to be gay with you?
Why do you write gay fan fiction about Kanji and Daisuke, then lash out at anyone who is able to follow a simple video game plot? I suppose the answer is that these are simply our natures.
Why do you need Kanji to be gay with you? Why cant you just be gay in peace?
>refuses to answer a simple question
It’s cause he didn’t understand women numbnutz
It makes more sense if that was also Disco G0-T0 amping things up to make the image so clear, but that's never stated anywhere, so don't take that as canon.
see
If it is such an easy concept then why do people like you keep getting it wrong?
>Rise isn't a prostitute
Uhhhhhhhhhh
of course, it showed how much of a flaming homosexual Yosuke was
the only good thing about persona 4. Based HashiGOD. Frick gays and frick trannies
Did the handsome guy let him finish the job before kicking him out?
The way I heard and remember his brother saved him by chance as he was going to the bathroom to puke.
>puking because you get your dick sucked
what a gay
yosuke just can't stop thinking about fricking kanji
>Closeted homosexual projecting his fantasies
Yosuke...
yes, based anti-lgbt homosexual game
go fukka yourself homosexual
gasp
>implying you dont get defensive when another man talks you in that gay faked softer more sassy voice
It's weird as frick, like frick off man leave me alone I'm not gonna suck your wiener or let you suck mine, dont talk to me like im a pet. This way of acting and changing their voice is by far the grossest act some gays partake in, if they didnt do this I wouldnt mind them.
All the IT boys proved themselves gay after they wouldn’t frick Kashiwagi
Yu (me) would have snuck out to go back to Kadhiwagis hotel room to confess my feelings and go raw
Kanji had his chance.
imagine reminding her body its a woman every night
I can’t help but see Ahkihiko and the p3 mc in this image
She wants his Ziodyne
Why is door-kun cuddling with Kanji?
that's door-kun, not naoto
Yes. LGBT is disgusting and should only be used as a joke in medias.
I wish we could go back to a time when gays were openly shunned and ostracized
you know Yosuke was secretly hoping to get dicked
most homosexual men and women are rapists
Source?
Hey, if a woman can feel unsafe sleeping in the same room as a man because muh rape, a man can feel unsafe sleeping with a gay because those guys will ACTUALLY drug you and rape you.
Doesn't it add some realism? They're teenage boys they would be saying stuff like this
Who is the real gay here, let's be serious now.
I would've asked him to slob on my knob on the spot tbh, but only as a joke haha.
it was a different time
A better time more like
the remake is going to completely change Kanji and Naoto isnt it?
I'm surprised Katrina didn't change Persona 4 Golden's script when she was doing the ports for Xbox, Switch and PS4
gay is not okay
This implies Yosuke would rape someone he's attracted to.
see you guys in about 5 years when this gets a remake and this line is removed and we have 10 threads a day complaining about it
What about this line?
I mean, the door is proven to be violent and aggressive. It seems like a perfectly reasonable question for someone you're not super familiar with.
Yes. Making fun of homosexuals is usually necessary.
Thought I was on ResetEra for a split second. No joke. Might wanna head back over there, don't forget your Vanilla Onions.
Onions Lent. Apparently there is a filter on here that changes the real name of it to "onions". moronic.
Why is a newbie telling anyone else to leave
Jesus Christ. moronic-ass filters. S@YLENT, ONIONS, S()YLENT, S8YLENT, SDYLENT. One of those had to have gotten through. Fricking Christ...
I think it’s fine. We were all like this as a kid. It’s just a child’s mindset.
It’s not until we get older that we do realise how absurd it is to treat them any differently and in actuality gay people are less of a threat that straight people. I also think that why they are so celebrated today.
If you're gonna b8 you need to try harder m8
You know Yosuke was praying to be raped here.
Aw did your fefes get hurt? Go frick yourself.
Yusuke is closeted gay and was going "ohh kanji-kun and yu-sama pleeeeeease don't have your way with me tonight~ ;)"
>stupid
"omg this is so offensive this needs to be removed immediately this is disgusting i will give this no other thought i am outraged"
>smart
