Always going to be the switch, I know people shit on the 3DS era, but mega evolution, Z moves, no dex cuts, peak online, good casts of characters, and even good remakes with ORAS (Even without battle frontier) made me love the 3DS era, and I wish I spent more time on it.
The Switch generation of Pokemon will be looked back upon fondly by moronic brand apologists and shitter contrarians. It also won’t be the overall low point of the series. You seen nothin yet, boy. This shit is gonna get so fricked.
Oh I forgot, they still have Johto to frick up in the worst way imaginable somehow putting a final nail in the coffin even for something as amazing and damn near flawless as Johto.
>Kanto and Johto le suck because I wasn't even alive
Hello secondary fan newbie to the series. Please try to calm down and accept that you will never be able to change when you were born to experience Pokémania, it will help you seethe so much less in the long run.
Johto is still a good experience even if you aren't as big of a fan of the Pokemon. However, I have been doing a run with Johtomons and crossgen evos only with none of the typical playthrough mons, and I surprisingly like using them. Yanmega, Xatu, Lanturn, Bellosom, Magmar, and Miltank are surprisingly very fun mons to use. Which is funny since I never considered using them in a typical Johto run.

All of them were pretty cool Pokemon in my books. A damn shame they're gone, and I am tired of contrarian edgelords constantly making the same shitty remarks that nothing of value was lost and "nobody cares about your gay wurmple, they only cut shitmons and I am glad they BTFO homosexuals like you."
have a nice day yawnhomosexual, I know you see this post. Just know that everyone knows you're grooming kids on discord, dangle from a tree. And to the jannies who think I am in the wrong for posting this, you're only gonna ban me for 3 days so I don't appeal because you know you're in the wrong, have a nice day.
I think you're missing the point, the point of the natdex was for everyone to enjoy their favorites with every game that progresses through each generation. It was a franchise known for letting everyone play with their favorites. To not add in the national dex means that there is hardly any incentive to play the current games for any longer than the post game, killing years of current playability while the games are relevant.
Did your groomed discord kiddies notify you of this post yawntroony?
Ah yes anon, totally excusable, let me just go through the tediousness of buying a home subscription, play all different games trying to collect all the Pokemon via dead GTS's which are full of hacked Pokemon that frick up your system if you so much as even hear about them. Instead of the simplicity of making them accessible in one game, even excluding some mythicals because why the frick not?
GREAT FRICKING IDEA CAPTAIN DIPSHIT! THE DEXCUT IS TOTALLY DEFENDABLE FOR THAT VERY REASON!
HOME GTS is more active and functional than any other game’s GTS ever was and it’s free to use.

Now I KNOW you're baiting, look up Sun and Moon's GTS system, the system is so fricking broken. I basically have to go through that dead game that hardly has a player base, with most 3DS services shutting down. Then I have to go through SWSHIT, then SV >Free to use
Home forces you into a subscription for more storage.

Yeah, and get this, you're required to pay for it if you even want the slightest chance in hell at getting a living dex. It being free to use gets thrown out the god damn window when I can only fit like 30 Pokemon in there, and have to pay to keep my Pokemon hostage. My god if GameFreak is going to keep the dex cut then at least let me use my Pokemon in home instead of staring at them or have a Pokemon stadium game where all Pokemon, moves, items, and abilities are available. I can easily tolerate mainline dex cuts if there are other apps and work arounds that actually let me have fun with all of my Pokemon in one game.
This was just a rebound of Pokemon series as a whole. A new age of Pokemon is coming due to a jump in quality in world building, characters and Pokemon in both SS and SV. However, it was SV that has shown the largest amount of improvement, especially now that GF has finally decided to take a different approach to their characters and as well making Pokemon into fully fledged characters as notably with Ogrepon and Paradox Duo. And as well human characters that are remembered in a more positive light. And as well a leap in quality for Pokemon models, which are miles better than XY-era models that basically butchered the designs of Pokemon.
The dark age was literally the 3DS era where the Pokemon games were at its worst due to rough transition into 3D. Gen 6 introduced gimmicks that would be dropped after one gen, bad remakes, introduced less than 90 new Pokemon per new region and as well bland regions with overuse of old Pokemon and references. And as well the misuse of art budget on gimmick forms that would've otherwise saved for new Pokemon to flesh out the bland regions with poor dexes.
It's only a possibility that gen 10 may be a improvement over SV, on top of new hardware that may offer more room for GF's incompetence with optimization.
Not watching the video, but as far as the games go the 3DS-Era was probably worse overal for me because it was overall more turbulent, with some being in denial about what was happening and making exuses and some people being pissed as hell at the 3D leap, generally unfocused direction on where to take things and just strange decsions and at the end of it it was also the initial "Go-mania" so you can make of that what you will, be it positive or negative and it was the time of "IS YOKAI WATCH KILLING POKÈMON!?!?!"
Im not calling the Switch Era perfect or even good, but i think from at least a corporate level it is more secure in what gameplan they had about the games, even if it is a shitty gameplans fans hate and the games running poorly (likely because of the overall franchise gameplan requiring games to be rushed).
t. First game was Yellow when it was the newest game and never took "breaks" from the franchise.
Stuff like difficulty and general change of direction for the series (IE: the "Kids on smartphones" interview), "It will be back next full Gen" or "Z/Star will fix it" kind of stuff, mostly relevant when XY was new, but also to a lesser extent with S/M with stuff like Triple/Rotation battles getting the boot.
And i kid you not, some people i talked to back then (XY release, prior to sales statements making it clear they did VERY well) actually believed there was hope they could get Spite based games back.
>Stuff like difficulty and general change of direction for the series
Yeah there were a lot of people in denial about USUM being the hardest game in the series, that was weird
>but i think from at least a corporate level it is more secure in what gameplan they had about the games
homie what?
Two of the games are unfinished betas, one is baby's first pokemon game let's cash on on GO hype edition and the last is the worst ***faithful*** remake of all time.
Where the frick are you seeing a gameplan here? There's endlessly more meandering about in the switch era than there ever was on the 3DS era.
Hell, not even swooshie is safe in that regard considering there's been gems like "we tacked on the wild area at the last minute because we saw people liked overworld pokemon on let's piss".
You are absolutely insane to think the Switch era is more stable than the 3DS era (not that I'm defending the 3DS era's bullshit like how Kalos was clearly incomplete and begging for a Z and yet was abandoned to rush out SM for the anniversary for example)
XY was clearly unfinished and no matter how much GF tries to obfuscate and deny Z was fricking blatantly meant to happen.

>was fricking blatantly meant to happen.
No, it was SLATED to happen. But slating someing to occur is a lot fricking different to actually wanting to make it and after XY and ORA|S, they knew better than to try and shit out a third game and frick the new Gen they were working on per their cycle.
Hell, Aonuma binned an entire project cycle for Majora's Mask in the '90's, this isn't anything new in the slightest. But it does tell me how young and autistic you are that you're still spacking out over a project being cancelled and moves away from by developers.

Is that why you can’t cite a single example as to how it’s unfinished?
Seems more like you’re just a shit eating consoomer who’s angry GF didn’t pointless resell him the same game with a different thing on the box.
>pokemon games will now be on home console! >oh so the games will be higher quality and bigger right? >whats that? I can't hear you over your Loudred that I just deleted
What a grim timeline
The lowest point will for evermore be Gen 3 because that's the only Generation where normalgays took one look at the system they appeared on and ignored it entirely.
And given how -"easily" normalgays eat up this kiddy shite, it's telling they knew better than to touch Gen 3 (just like they knew Dexit was a nothingburger pushed by autistic kids).
Ehhh... Yes. And I like PLA and SV despite all their issues. But the rest of the Switch Pokémon lineup certainly drags things down even further than the already low bar those games clear.
Yes but I think you've posted this on the wrong board my fren.

that's not the reason lol, i like kanto a lot, i just don't care for most of the johto mons.
there's nothing to debunk, just not big on a lot of the johto mons.
Johto was the only true generational expansion the series ever got. It still has all those Kantomons so your critique is facile and lacking.
Johto is still a good experience even if you aren't as big of a fan of the Pokemon. I’m not watching your dogshit video where you reveal how terrible at the games you are when you b***h about exp share

Worst era was the Gen 7 era. It was so disappointing, that Sword and Shield took the brunt of all the accumulated hate.
