I don't think anyone has the infrastructure to build cities on stilts.
If China did it, the struts would be filled with sawdust, and the whole thing would collapse killing millions.
>unprompted seething about muh see see pee
glows a bit.
moron^2
>unprompted
the fricking picture in OP moron
anon... you don't see people talking about burger infrastructure the moment someone posts a screenshot of a game set in america. you understand how that guy's rant is unprompted, right?
>WHATABOUTAMELICA!
chang, you're not slick, just give up.
>Amelica
? They can pronounce R's you know. It's like you /bant/ tourists don't even bother learning the stereotypes anymore, you just wing it and hope no one notices.
We can't even build rail roads anymore. Or hyperloops.
I love how he's forced to put >they when referring to himself
hey, any way to earn that 50 RMB eh?
It's literally in the OP picture. How many times do you have to be told this. Perhaps you don't understand what "unprompted" means?
>changdroid detects someone saying something negative about chingchongland (it's literally in the OP picture)
>"LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HE WOLK FO US GUBAMINTO"
sorry bud but eating tiger penis won't cure your impotence.
Chink.
Yep thats the most scifi shit of du sex 3: orange KEK
bamboo would unironically be able to hold it up
>I don't think anyone has the infrastructure to build cities on stilts.
We have the technology, we just dont have any incentives to do it, there is no reason to need that density still
What boggles the mind is that at least people can imagine countries like china, oil rich arab states, or even eu (if they get their shit together) building that kinda infrastructure. No one would imagine america remotely having the capacity to build modern marvel like that
>or even eu (if they get their shit together)
we would NEVER build anything like that in the EU, we don't even build skyscrapers because they're fugly and ruin traditional landscapes. They only fit to places where nothing was before
>we don't even build skyscrapers because they're fugly and ruin traditional landscapes
But building upwards is more efficient because it saves more space. And I thought the eu like efficiency seeing that many eu countries are littered with the various commie blocks
NTA but skyscrapers are past the point of efficiency due to exponential cost increases of building past 10 stories and elevator logistics. They're phallic compensatory status symbols that are usually full of (now empty) offices or luxury condos that aren't affordable to enough people to fill the tower.
Does the US even still regularly build skyscrapers nowadays?
Feels like they'd be too expensive to build now.
We do, multiple going up in my city. We're really good at blowing huge amounts of money on stupid shit though, almost exclusively stupid shit to the detriment of stuff that would make our lives and cities better.
Chongqing already exists and its basically this in a smaller (but still massive) scale.
Chongqing is such a stupidly cool and yet stupidly dull city.
Still really want to visit there again some day.
this will get released soon too
I hope it'll be better than 16
Not with the fujo writer and exflopspoken devs
Hell of a lot of expectations there. We've managed to make it through like two numbered FF games since HR came out.
I never asked for this.
>final fantasy 27
>twenty-fricking-seven when we're only just now dealing with 16's slop
they better get to work lmfao
> Another remake come
> Never asked for this
What prompt?
It's a concept art from Human Revolution.
>this is Detroit in few years
Hengsha ackshually. Not Detroit.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hengsha_Island
terrorists would salivate at threatening to destroy this. imagine the incrase in TSA.
security at each stilt would have to be insane.
it's a neat idea, but as soon as one group of humans goes up against another group of humans, everything gets fricked up for the rest of humanity.
Dumb "AI"Black person
have a nice day
in reality we have this
whered you find that? surely thats good for the ocean
Yeah, it should fertilize the seabed.
Or not
I love how you've photoshopped the poo per minute (PPM) in but left the original purpose of the map which is about the Indonesian Tsunami and it's wave movements at the top.
The great Datakrash didn't happen 1 year ago...
Soon.
> Chinkpunk
>all that light pollution
grim
Hey man, they just discovered the light bulb and can afford them, all humans go through that phase of shoving 10,000 lightbulbs onto something before it goes down in a massive fire hazard.
Its just the chineses turn
What is the point of doing this when there's so much non-city land everywhere?
So you can have a heavy handed metaphor about the class system.
>why would people not turn 100% of the surface area of Earth into a geopolis?
The Emperor protects.
because car-centric lateral expansion is hostile to the poor and not allowed in the new world order
Quite literally any expense is worth it to avoid the endless suburban devil.
Including mass culling.
"violence is the last refuge of the incompetent"
Because it is guaranteed to get results.
this makes my skin crawl
it's worse than japan
the only game where you could build such man made horrors got updated and now explodes if you try it again.
Looks comfy.
What's the issue?
Too poor to own a car?
>comfy
You wouldn't know comfy if a memory foam pillow hit you in the face.
spreading your population and infrastructure evenly across the land like you're buttering toast is a phenomenally inefficient use of resources and energy, and i don't think i even need to point out the ecological and farming impacts of turning the entire surface of your country into suburbs.
after traveling to other countries i'm convinced that every city planner and zoning board member in America deserves to be executed. this suburban sprawl shit is horrible for absolutely everything and almost all of our cities are just gutted lifeless business centers with parking lots for commuters. go to a real city and you'll see how much better it is.
Midgar?
I've seen enough videos to know you never stand on a Chinese bridge for longer than 5 seconds.
>building this close to mothernatures most unhinged weapon
this city beggs to be flooded lets also hope this isnt built near some tectonic plates
still it has a nice touch for a metropolis
No, we're getting the corporate dominance and social issues of a cyberpunk future but we're not getting the cool future cities.
Who could've guessed a profit motivated oligarchy wouldn't make big investments in public infrastructure?
