they lost the source codes to the original TS and RE2. That is why its stalled. It was chance they found that most of the stuff for C&C1/RE1 was intact in the first place, with the exception of the original VHS of the cutscenes
RA3 is underrated honestly, I don't get the complaints that it's too esports/competitive-oriented when the campaign and skirmish are still fun as before. And Uprising even has a huge challenge mode like in generals but with like 50 missions. It's got enough stuff for a casual player.
>I don't get the complaints that it's too esports/competitive-oriented when the campaign and skirmish are still fun as before.
Literally never heard this complaint before. Most of the complaints I've seen were just that it went too far into the campiness. Campy cutscenes were ok but when you put that shit into the game, it's cringe.
2nd gen C&C were absolutely baller and full of soul
the skirmish maps had unique objects and sometimes even neutral factions, you explored these maps with a sense of wonder
I haven't felt that in 2 decades playing newer RTS games
I still don't know what the OC donut steel faction is meant to be. Germans? Chinese? They have less of an identity than Japan does as an Ally subfaction.
I had my "Gaming is dead. The west has fallen" moment when I was at my local Future Shop and saw that Red Alert 2 had come out, and the box was half the size of how PC game boxes were before.
Little fricking cuck boxes.
That's when I knew it was all over.
Because the entire Soviet faction is actually meant to be the Nazis. Red Alert 2 is CIA propaganda meant to associate the Soviets with the Nazis in your head.
> They fight "The Allies" > Flak Track = Flak 88 > V-3/V-2 rockets > Rhino tank = Panther tank
And they also have access to the "Terrorist" unit.

Nah, the Soviets are way too slavic in doctrine to be Nazis, though they'd probably call their enemies Nazis if they knew what Nazis were.
They really didn't break character. It was believable even with how corny it might sound.
One of the main reasons RA3 felt like a joke was how unreal it felt. >here this bimbo general needs help killing the russians >bimbo general is givng you orders
at least Tanya was under your command
>Allies can go back in time and erase you from existence >Or they can do it right now via teleport and then erase you
Gommies n Yurikeks never stood a chance. It's also always funny to me when writers/modders go full mental gymnastics trying to justify how the big bad can go 'Nah, I'd Win'. And that's why RA3 was less moronic with Soviets going 'hey maybe we should just copy our enemy and frick em over'
I'm a mechanical man.
Which world? Palworld?
Is command and conquer isekai?
Frick Kane, GDI 4life.
Frick you, Kane is the most based character in all of vidya.
Kane is a homosexual, he's a floundering "leader" that can't even keep his own goons in line.
To be fair, he cannot even keep himself in line.
Kane lives in death.
Frick Gay Dickheads International
Kane might be the first murderer, but it's the GDI that are the soldiers of the Anti-Christ
Red Alert 3 Tanya is cringe af, fricking tryhard "we want the dudebro audience"
Just say you hate blondes or something, because there was nothing off putting about RA3 Tanya personality wise.
Allied endings are lewd.
Mercy is for the weak
Gentlemen, it's a nuclear device.

>that was left handed!
Hell march 2 > Hell march1
I like 3 but they're all great, especially all together
?t=4526
always like hearing it for the first time
how did he do it
So... remastered Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 WHEN? The remastered collectionC&C and RA) back in 2020 sold extremely well.
I read the person who pushed for that left so probably never ever
I don't think we are going to see any of that. You best bet is ARES.
i dont remember juggernauts in tiberian sun at all. wtf.
Firestorm expansion pack.
they lost the source codes to the original TS and RE2. That is why its stalled. It was chance they found that most of the stuff for C&C1/RE1 was intact in the first place, with the exception of the original VHS of the cutscenes
>they lost the source codes to the original TS and RE2
I still have never seen any actual proper source that backs up this claim.
They lost that too
This was the best looking C&C title. Fight me.
Those roaming worm things look goofy.
Tanks and walkers look good, but troops are pretty bad.
6/10
Red Alert timeline > Tiberium timeline
Frick off with your cringe aliems and homosexual cult
>he doesn't know
I probably do but because the timeline is so cringe, I wouldn't be able to guess what you're referring to.

>hire a bunch of bimbos and even have them in the missions as generals
No, Just stop. Tanya was enough. Stop it.
It went too goofy and the co-op mode was meh. RA2 was better.
WHERE ARE ALL THE FAT BLACK WOMEN?
Time is running out
Time t-time t-t-t-time Is running out
gaming was a niche male hobby, nobody gave a shit back then.
Uhh, it's not good. It doesn't look good.
Who was in the wrong?
I completed the Red Alert 1 remastered campaign a few weeks back. Some of those later missions are pure bullshit
underrated game
2nd gen C&C were absolutely baller and full of soul
the skirmish maps had unique objects and sometimes even neutral factions, you explored these maps with a sense of wonder
I haven't felt that in 2 decades playing newer RTS games
is C&C modding a mistake?
According to Cncnet, Mental Omega currently has count of 877 players, which is the highest among all C&C games. So no is not a mistake.
I like the units Mental Omega adds but find the storyline really, really unsatisfying.
yea, the units and mechanics are something else, but the story gets extremely shit at the end
I love fatal impact.
>a mistake
It is a mistake when said mods shit on Westwood's legacy
>It is a mistake when said mods shit on Westwood's legacy
like what mod?
>I need everything spelled out to me exactly or else I don't get it
anon, none of us are psi-corp troopers
we can't read your mind here
I still don't know what the OC donut steel faction is meant to be. Germans? Chinese? They have less of an identity than Japan does as an Ally subfaction.
Tiberian > RA
The Black Hand has arrived.

Little fricking cuck boxes.
That's when I knew it was all over.
So, did you play the game or was the box more important ?
oh I played it, anon, but don't try to tell me that this wasn't the beginning of the end.
Well, there was generals after RA2. The last decent C&C game.
Some say C&C 3 was good.
RA2 was certainly at the end of the good RTS era. That I can agree.
I liked RA3
I mostly just wanted to talk about the boxes
It was a dramatic moment in my life. Their small size still haunts my dreams.
Did the big ones have books in them ? I was pirating everything as a kid so wouldn't know.
Was it First Decade or Ultimate Collection where some of the games straight up don't run after the first time you've booted them?
Oh my God, I miss big PC game boxes.
YOUR FEELING OF HELPLESSNESS IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, SAVAGE
why did Frank destroy the song with d*bstep?
DIE WAFFEN, LEGT AN
Why did the russian invaders intro, scream to be ready to fire in german ? FRANK ???

I guess it was inevitable for a soviet faction, but then germans were on the allied side.
The USA aimed subliminal messaging is something else.
why do they keep making nazis and nazisoviets cooler than america
> Rhino tank = Panther tank
Damn. Now I realize why the allied tanks were paper. The germans did have good tanks.
The song was originally made for TD.
Nah, the Soviets are way too slavic in doctrine to be Nazis, though they'd probably call their enemies Nazis if they knew what Nazis were.
>doctrine
How do Tesla coils fit in this Slavic doctrine?
teslas a slav inne
THERE IS A VERY UNSTABLE SITUATION ON THE GROUND
THAT IS UNFOLDING VERY QUICKLY
why did the 1990s do "grittiness" so well? nothing even comes close.
They really didn't break character. It was believable even with how corny it might sound.
One of the main reasons RA3 felt like a joke was how unreal it felt.
>here this bimbo general needs help killing the russians
>bimbo general is givng you orders
at least Tanya was under your command
The whole thing up to RA2 was decently made.
Red Alert is the best vidya soundtrack ever made
Humanity is utterly fricked in this timeline.
Thankfully we don't live in the C&C timeline.
>Allies can go back in time and erase you from existence
