I got lucky with the drop, wasnt farming it, just happened to kill the one outside apostle boss. It looks fricking great with the scaled armor. I tried it on others that are a similar gray and it looks good, too, but sometimes the shoulders are too big and it clips with this hood
Dont have too many screenshots with it because I swapped to drakeset for roleplaying reasons, but I can attest that full scale with BFM hood looks really good and is great for stats. Decently high poise and good resistances
Protip incase you didnt know, there's a blackflame monk in the basementment of the caelid devine tower right next to a grace. Easily farmable, but the drop rate is like 12% or something small

I just finished my Carian Simp run a few hours ago >carian grandure shredded Radagon when I got the openings (that's what you get for abandoning my wife you deadbeat frick) >was gonna use all my spells on Elden Beast, but swapping over to MGS (Ranni's wedding gift to me) was just so effective I hardly needed to use the spells >survived by the skin of my teeth, final hit was a reposte with the MGS after a perfect stagger
Felt kino as frick. In the end, while I do like sorceries, I still prefer FTH overall. Too many of the sorceries just feel like different shades of blue damage. There's not enough variety, especially when the things that give variety require split stat invests. >pic rel

It can be very satisfying to do specific things >posting up far away from your target. Terra magicka, carian phalanx, loretta's greatbow or mastery > melt a fourth of their bar. Chuck half a dozen spirals at their chest as they try to bumrush you. Finish them off by stunlocking with adula's moonblade (best feeling sorc. In the game)
But there's only so many time's that's going to be fun. At some point it gets tiring because the enemies are literally not able to play the game, so it feels like you're not either
It's also hilarious oneshotting naill (frick him) with the comet azure cheese lol

Carian Knight is the coolest armor in the game even if sorceries are not as fun as other playstyles

My issue with my DC build was that my stats ended up being so split that I could ONLY end up doing real damage with my incants. My weapons hardly made a dent because I split dex/str and neglected them in favor of fth/arc
I'll probably create a fresh character and do a Captain Harlock run. I guess I'll find a rapier and give it Glintstone Pebble to replicate a Gravity Saber and go DEX/INT.

They can't do that because it wouldn't work with people that haven't purchased the DLC. That is why it's unfortunately going to be a standalone release unless they release the overworld update for everyone.

I didn't watch trailers for Elden Ring because I wanted to go in with as little info as possible. Going to do the same with this one. It's really exciting to see things like bosses for the first time in-game.
It's tough to resist the temptations, but once you are sitting in front of the game's main menu on release day, you will thank your past self for staying strong.
Elden Ring became unplayable for me the moment I understood the creators didn't respect my time. Not in the sense of how hard it was, I love a challenge, but since saving cannot be done easily, enemies respawning upon death combined with the fact how hard it is just did it in for me. There was one time where I took about an hour taking out this whole encampment after already having played it for more than 2-3 hours straight of not dying. Then being killed and coming back to certain spots where ALL enemies were alive again was crushing. This is not Ghost of Tsushima where you can ride your horse for a good 2 minutes and avoid enemies and sneakily get past them. And then do away with most in a short time. Anyway, just my experience. I'm not in my teens or 20s anymore, cannot just sit around the house playing video games, so when I do I will not go for a game like Elden Ring, no matter how much I loved the atmosphere
I'm going to have fun dunking on Malenia with Bolt of Gransax again.
Although, given what the DLC is about I hope we get more ghost flame stuff. Having to use death poker until the mountain sucks dick. Also would be nice to get ruinous ghost flame off Helphen's.
This took 2 years to make with what must have been a huge budget considering the success of the base game, it has to be massive and not just their typical 8-10 hour DLC

Legitimate builds >blackflame monk. BFM armor, all BF incants, main godslayer greatsword. Use peeler and stitcher as alts/secondaries. You'll have to split dex/str for it since weapon reqs are pretty high in both. Mainly fth for scaling. >drake knight. Drake knight set but ditch the silly helmet for a slick hood like the black knife assassin. I posted the gear at the start of the thread. RoE and twinbird kite look great together and the weapon art is super fun. ARC/FTH and your choice of either dex or str, as regalia has equally trash scaling with both (it scales with arc pretty well) >carian simp. This one is very overdone, but that's because it's kino. Carian knight everything. Eventually shift into MGS. Marrying Ranni is a MUST
A couple memebuilds >holy reaper. Fth/dex. Get the winged scythe, coded sword/cipher pata, and eclipse shotel as your weapons. You can deal damage, but you should generally aboid doing so because this build is centered around playing support for your spirit ashes. Youre essentially a grim reaper who harvests souls and has them fight for you. Long term, get maliketh's armor or black knife assassin set >BOWMAN AHHH AHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH FIGHTER OF THE SWORDMAN. pure dex bow build centered around consumables. I would use albinuriac longbow as the main, harpbow with barage for procing stats, and lion greatbow for heavy damage when needed

I didn't watch trailers for Elden Ring because I wanted to go in with as little info as possible. Going to do the same with this one. It's really exciting to see things like bosses for the first time in-game.
It's tough to resist the temptations, but once you are sitting in front of the game's main menu on release day, you will thank your past self for staying strong.

Elden Ring became unplayable for me the moment I understood the creators didn't respect my time. Not in the sense of how hard it was, I love a challenge, but since saving cannot be done easily, enemies respawning upon death combined with the fact how hard it is just did it in for me. There was one time where I took about an hour taking out this whole encampment after already having played it for more than 2-3 hours straight of not dying. Then being killed and coming back to certain spots where ALL enemies were alive again was crushing. This is not Ghost of Tsushima where you can ride your horse for a good 2 minutes and avoid enemies and sneakily get past them. And then do away with most in a short time. Anyway, just my experience. I'm not in my teens or 20s anymore, cannot just sit around the house playing video games, so when I do I will not go for a game like Elden Ring, no matter how much I loved the atmosphere

>blackflame monk. BFM armor, all BF incants, main godslayer greatsword. Use peeler and stitcher as alts/secondaries. You'll have to split dex/str for it since weapon reqs are pretty high in both. Mainly fth for scaling.

RoE and twinbird kite look great together and the weapon art is super fun. >holy reaper. Fth/dex. Get the winged scythe, coded sword/cipher pata, and eclipse shotel as your weapons. You can deal damage, but you should generally aboid doing so because this build is centered around playing support for your spirit ashes. Youre essentially a grim reaper who harvests souls and has them fight for you. Long term, get maliketh's armor or black knife assassin set
>BOWMAN AHHH AHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH FIGHTER OF THE SWORDMAN. pure dex bow build centered around consumables. I would use albinuriac longbow as the main, harpbow with barage for procing stats, and lion greatbow for heavy damage when needed
