>we need a boss fight
>lets just take a regular enemy but make them spam evade and make them always break out of grab
and yakuzagays wonder why no one liked their games before 7

you can't hold down a himbo bro, man's massive
I hated how easy Ryuji was in Kiwami 2. Was he as weak in the original?
He whopped my ass a couple of times on hard in the original but I'm pretty sure its because I had the champion's ring + payback ring on.
Fighting both Nishiki and Ryuji in the originals with the champion's ring on is absolute kino because their AI becomes more aggressive (at least that's what it says it does)
imo he's more interesting to fight in the original since his central gimmick is counterattacking attacks which would knock standard enemies over, whereas in K2 he only starts doing that in Heat mode (and not as consistently). another thing which I think is often missed is that because Kiryu's options and mobility etc. are relatively pared back in the original (especially compared to something like Extreme Heat mode) you have fewer means of walking all over enemies/bosses in general. not saying OG Y2 is outright difficult or anything but it's more engaging to me when you're on a relatively even playing field with what you're fighting and things aren't quite as lopsided in your favor
>we need the way to make corridor beat'em-up stages harder
>put fat ugly bastards with sofas in the way and hide heat move dealing with them far away in skill list
>I need to get a position in Chink company badly after I leave SEGA
>make all Chinese enemies significantly stronger than other regular enemies
>equip gun
>empty some lead into their fat asses
Mame's looking extra slick
It's true, the strongest weapon in Ishin is a gun.
>An Omi Alliance subsidiary
what the frick is this? a commercial for life insurance?
>implying kiwami bosses are even capable of dodging
Kiwami 2 in particular was hilarious with how charged punch > light punch > charged punch basically broke every single enemy's AI
He's in
It's weird to see all these "YAKUZA [BOSS] NO DAMAGE NO TIGER DROP NO CHEESE" videos that start popping up recently
I got recommended a few back that were like, "[Yakuza 7 boss] ICHIBAN ONLY, NO ITEMS, FREELANCER STYLE, NO PARTY MEMBERS", but they were level 99 in NG+ with (presumably) max stats so it was just them going down the list of skills without much fight.
Yakuza combat can look kinda kino on very rare occasions.
Is this the yakuza thread for tonight? Do i need to buy the $109 edition of infinite wealth to get the bikini costumes?
It looks like it. Just wait until after launch and get the package as a separate purchase unless you're really keen on dropping an extra $40 for some swimsuits + the extra stuff.
I was gonna jerk off to them. Guess ill wait for the nude mods
Probably for the better. Mods will probably unlock them within the first week or so anyways since the DLCs really don't seem worth the extra price.
if you're on PC, you can already mod them into the demo, so I reckon it'll be the same for the full release
>we need a boss fight
>let's put some damage sponge and have you spam Orbital Laser 300 times.
And normalgays wonder why yakuzagays didn't like 7
>Costs 200mp
>not even powerful enough to kill the people in the tutorial sewers if you do new game+
Did you guys even play the game?
>new game+
Sorry, that slog was barely bearable for the first time, no way i'm going in there again.
Thumbtack Scatter does more damade and costs 75% less to use
Was orbital laser really that good? When i was playing 7 2 years ago i thought it was better to combo 2 special attacks into each other since it costs less mp
I cant wait for yakuza 9 where ichi plays persona 3 reload and starts baton passing
If you were in a situation where you don't have an appropriate weakness for the boss it was the most damaging option compared to physical damage.
Or you had to stack crits and pray.
Why are you going in unprepared?
>Was orbital laser really that good?
Even in a 1v1 it's really good because it's high electric damage which almost everything is weak to, barely costs anything with the Kiwami Mouthguard, and once Ichiban has given everyone their attack buff he's either healing or using it since it's his best attack so yeah.
the sidequests are boring and I'm tired of pretending they're not.
He looks like he needs a little nibble to confirm if kiryu is a toddler or not
>how is that dog talking to me
>I'll just ignore him
Honestly, the gameplay in these games isn't very good. Boss battles are only hype when you watch the cool intro. The atmosphere makes up for it but I really wish the gameplay was better. There's a reason why people remember Jingu on the rooftop, the man in black in kiwami 2, yakuza 3 blockers etc. At least they offered a challenge
i often forget how many fights you have actually have with kuze because past the first fight, they don't feel that different except for the last one. i completely forgot about the first street fight with him as well as the one in the tachibana torture room, which really made me wonder why people actually care about him besides his sewer scene (which is cool, but it's really his only great scene, outside of that he's just a glorified jobber)
His actor(both the performance and his actual face) does the heavy lifting for kuze. He would be less likeable if it was any other voice or face in that role.
>he's just a glorified jobber
I love him for just how unapologetic he is about being a jobber. Kiryu punches his teeth out for the sixth time, and Kuze just says "yeah, frick you, I'll be back later."
His whole speech to Kiryu before their last fight is all about how he genuinely doesn't care if things go his way in the moment, because as long as he can get back up, he can keep playing the long game.
1v1s are too easy in these games, I find it a lot harder to deal with multiple enemies that aren’t pushovers. The fight with Yuta and the fat guy in early 6 was harder than a lot of the late game fights in other games just because there were two and it was a super tight space. Almost every 1v1 is in a huge arena
I'm usually a shiteater but I'm really not liking ishin so far. I'm not even deep into the combat yet, but it just feels wrong (nonexistent hitstop, stiff movement, wild dancer being better than literally everything except spamming shoot as gunner)
That's just Ishin Kiwami for you. They gave enemies random super armor, they made spear guys and the kendo-stance guys knock you down from basic attacks, they made Wild Dancer extremely OP due to the damage reworks and removal of the Dharma Tumbler, they made Brawler unusable without a bunch of Seals that are a pain in the ass to get, etc.
In the original Wild Dancer was simply a sidegrade for like 70% of the game since it required an endgame gun like the Golden Gun, Dragon Hawk, or Model 16 in addition to an endgame sword like any of the Swords that Time Forgot sword upgrades, the Golden Sword, or the Yumeryusai, and at least a limit break to get access to additional damage buffs. Once you got all those then it finally surpassed Sword and became really good if you didn't just want to whip out Pistol and kill everything in seconds.
Just wait until you see Ishin Kiwami's elemental swords that proc their effect every hit which stunlocks any humanoid and deal around a fifth of a health bar per slash at endgame without even investing into the damage buff Seals which is absurd damage.
Did they give the game to a B team or what? It doesn't even feel like an RGG game honestly.
>It doesn't even feel like an RGG game honestly.
The entire remake is completely unnecessary and outside of a few quality of life updates like PA actually being something you can safely go into, the Diligence List being less grindy in some (Not all) requirements, the blacksmith menu, and the palanquin outside of the blacksmith it's basically a downgrade in every way from the original.
The main story and substories outside of Satoh/Tatsu are the same so if you don't like those you wouldn't like them in the original anyway, but even there they managed to ruin the main story with the character changes, a removal of the epilogue for no reason, and the removal of a substory for censorship reasons.
Well, the thing is I can't read japanese. Guess I'll just refund and play something else.
what the frick were they thinking with majima construction? the shit's a boring slog
I guess the eating scenes with the 3 old guys was fun enough
Is everyone in 19th century Japan a skinwalker? Anyway easiest amon fights ever.
easiest amon fights ever.
>Okanehira
Well yeah. Did you use cards in that fight too? Because that makes him even more of a joke since you're not dealing with his gimmick. This is how you had to do all of the second phase of that fight in the original.
For the dungeon I used essence of void + ichiban dmg buff + beyblade special, amon died before the clones, had to finish the brawler one with a gun.
I was thinking of using shinada + vortex (50% double shot) but my gunman levels were capped so used 3 heat actions and finished the remaining 60% of the health bar with the beyblade special. It's not very effective when he's knocked down.
I'm surprised you used the R2s because they force him to use insta-kill R2s.
>Y2 has fake Kiryu
>Y4 has fake Akiyama and fake Kiryu again
>Ishin has fake Ryoma
>LJ has fake Yagami
how likely are we going to see a fake Ichiban in 8? Was there ever a fake Tatsuya?
Don't forget Kenzan's entire story revolves around fake Musashi.
>Was there ever a fake Tatsuya?
No, but he did meet fake Kiryu and fake Shinji.
There's kinda one in the demo in a restuarant substory.
Does that really count since it's more of a misunderstanding from the restaurant owner than anything else?
Fake Saejima would be a pretty funny substory, because the idea that someone would pretend to be a wanted criminal is silly.
7 is literally the most basic and boring turn based combat anyone could come up with.
Shit game with likeable main character, that's all.
Yes, spamming same 4 overpowered moves on 1 boss for 30 minutes is indefinitely better
kys op
Bosses that does this has no human rights, so I'm using Tiger Drop against them.
