new things you buy they lose in value fast but the technology that you cant buy keeps getting more expensive

So don't buy it when it comes out. Wait a few months for the price drop. What's the problem?

I already have a PS5, then point I'm making is that stuffs price won't go down as fast as it was in the past. It's been 3 years, and the PS5 never had a price cut.

It's 3 years into its life, statistically speaking that's when a console is most popular.

It's downhill from here for PS5.

Good thing I live in a rational state that set their own minimum wage.

that's great and all but the point is that the US government doesn't see the point in ensuring (key word) that compensation is at pace with inflation. People are functionally poorer still.

you're being disingenuous. The comparison is specific and succinct: the amount of money being made is not keeping up with inflation. Also, you would be surprised how many people work for minimum wage...

Why would the US government compensate people when they print more money explicitly for the purpose of fricking lower and middle class people with cash savings?

    >B-but I want new games!!!
Get a Switch or a Deck, or even a portable PC
    >B-but I said cheap!!!
Switch is pretty cheap and in some years it will have a complete and mature hacking and homebrew scene, is a good gaming investment in the long run

Dunno why anyone still cares about the PSP, many chinkhelds run all its games with better resolution. At least the Vita still has the definitive version of Muramasa and the Dungeon Traveler games

Phones do everything the PSP did. The "cheap handheld consoles" are all android based anyway. You want a $200 device that can play pretty much everything up to and including gen 6? Get a retroid pocket or an anbernic whatever.

okay but then why there are no games for android if its 1000 more powerful than psp
i tried to play hsr on android and it run like 3 fps and i played gta libity city on psp and it run like 30 fps. that doesnt make sense

        >why are there no games for android if it's 1000 more powerful than psp
I didn't say 1000 times, I said they do everything the PSP did.
        Including play PSP games.
People don't make games for mobile because the default state is shitty touch only garbage, and that's not a fun experience to play games in. You can remedy those things but most people won't bother, so it becomes a huge loss to make anything more than gacha for mobile.

        >Phones do everything the PSP did.
except have physical controls or have a good library of games. You know, the only things game consoles need?

Again, you're extrapolating some weird shit from things I said.
Just say you want a new handheld, not a "cheap handheld like the PSP", because those exist, they don't have their own libraries because there's no market for those libraries.
Mobile gacha shit makes billions of dollars every year, more than pretty much every handheld device added up together, multiplied 5x over, annually.
