I would go fricking nuts over a new pinball game, honestly. They could even do some dumb motion controls shenanigans on the Switch.

A Pinball FX map would be ideal but Nintendo's too israeli to outsource it

No, I want everything that comes with Pokemon Pinball, battles, catching, hatching, evolution, I don't want just a Pokemon-themed pinball machine, I want Pokemon Pinball

like the diamond and pearl pinball pitch?

Pinball FX tables often have gimmicks like that. The Skyrim table lets you keep a character between plays.

The real crime is they never incorporated this into the game corner / made it into pachinko for the main series

I always like the idea of having the game corner be an arcade, playing the games to get tickets that can be used to redeem prizes.

It’s baffling their response to “don’t put gambling in the Game Corner” was to just remove the Game Corner entirely instead of just… putting in other games.

It’s weird because they put non-gambling games in HGSS so why couldn’t they continue that?

I think it was because Voltorb Flip in particular was not well received (People didn't understand the rules, it had "unfair" instant fail conditions, gave out pathetic amounts of coins that meant it was near impossible to afford the prizes within a human lifetime) and some idiot at Gamefreak took that as people simply not caring about mini games rather than that particular mini-game being badly designed.
Similar to what happened with the Battle Frontier probably. GameFreak said they stopped doing it because no one did it, not understanding that the majority of people didn't do it because it 1: Cheated, either outright like in Gen3 or in Gen4&5 through having statistically impossible full 31IV perfect EV spread teams that a human could only make with literally weeks or months of tedious soul-crushingly unfun breeding. And 2: Usually had no cool rewards or achievements for doing it. Only Gen5 ever let you use part of it's frontier early and for actual useful rewards (the subway giving you some unique TM's).

Why do people bring up cheating being available for gen 3 but not 4-5? Do you guys not remember action replays bring significantly more common? There were custom codes with custom stats for mons not long after launch

Remember the era of pinball spin-offs? Whatever happened to those?

They were killed by the one-two punch of smartphone games for casuals and Pinball FX for pinball autists. Pinball, even stretched out into a kind of adventure game, is simply the kind of game most people think of as "too short" to be worth full purchase price when they could download a pinball game for free in the case of phone games, or an infinitely expandable game like FX.
