>Played Hollow Knight on my own >Never entered a hollow knight thread. >Get neat bug game without interacting with those morons
People who let "the fanbase" ruin things for them are gay lol.
>play Hollow Knight years ago to completion >played several other metroidvanias prior to playing HK >replay HK every now and again while continuing to enjoy other metroidvanias >In general, have played hundreds of games over the past few years and enjoyed >90% of them
God it feels great actually enjoying video games.
It's even more impressive how people keep taking the bait and in turn derailing threads. The guy probably doesn't even care about HK, he just knows it's guaranteed (You)'s.

Stretch goals by themselves sound like a nightmare. I would just make it so one of he stretch goals is to plan an actual stretch goal after the game is finished.
I agree. The extra stuff is nice but at this point I'd rather see a sequel that does away with it just being Symphony of the Night meets Aria of Sorrow. The only time the stretch goals seemed to have paid off was with Shovel Knight expansions that could drastically change things and make each campaign unique.
What? They still make content for this old shit? I mean it was alright but nothing great. Does it really need all this after what, two years? I never even touched the extra modes after clearing this lamentably short and unremarkable game on normal and fresh nightmare 100% boss medals.
I don't think I even touched the crafting outside of what was required for quests.
Wasn't too bad, definitely not enough to sour my opinion on the game. I don't even say I'd prefer it gone, but more a way to make it more exciting.
I dunno, it sucks for the people that donated to the Kickstarter, but as someone that got Bloodstained for $20 the slow trickle of updates are a great excuse to play it annually.
>Giving a shit about Bloodstained when Hollow Knight exists and Silksong is being developed
the vegans of metroidvanias
>SIX years after the KS and almost three years after release and they're still not done
Why are Kickstarter projects such a clusterfrick?
The garbage fanbase is unironically the reason I decided to not play HK.
Stretch goals, man. They're practically synonymous with "feature creep"

It's not about "morons ruining things".
It's about avoiding the danger of turning into one of the morons yourself.
If you let anything change you into something worse its YOUR problem
literal mental midget, go back to r*ddit
I like to discuss the game I'm playing with other people so I will be skipping that one.
>Taking sides
I enjoy both.
>metroidvania thread
>doesn't even take 1 (one) post for HK plebbitors to derail it
Go back

It is extremely impressive how many times the first post in a metroidvania thread is by an annoying Hollow Knight fan

what happens then?
People would talk about video games instead of shitposting. Unheard of on Ganker, I know.
No, what happens after he gets a bunch of replies to his post?
An empty feeling of satisfaction for tricking people into getting angry over mundane comparisons.
>he'll never get to play Silksong
it's no fair HKbros...
I hope indie devs trying to get their games funded these days learned from this and only make like 3 stretch goals tops

Agreed, applying a limit to your game's scope is a valuable discipline, let's you polish and define your project's goals.

brosposting should be a bannable offense
my bad
there's a typo too
Thanks for correcting your ways
Hopefully we get playable Dominique.

They should just work in the sequel at this point...or participate in Konami's indie contest
Who do you think is the playable character? I hope it's Dominique.
Wouldn't she just play like Miriam?
Either Gebel or OD
I played Hollow Knight and it was okay, (bloodstained is better) but I started to HATE HK because of it's shitty fanbase.
Bloodstained was boring and tedious with the crafting shit. I enjoyed Blasphemous a lot more.
I don't think I even touched the crafting outside of what was required for quests.

Yeah, I got it on the last sale. Good deal tbh
Co-op isn't canceled? Nice.
