>Sony decided to release it the same day as DD2
Why? Why would anyone choose to do this with the current calendar that's sparse for release dates? I refuse to believe anyone in the decision making process is that ignorant and incompetent at their job to so recklessly tank a company's work by doing something like that. There's no way people can pull shit like this and keep their job.
I didn't really like the gameplay that much. It had good moments to it for sure and there was definitely some charm to fighting some of the bigger robotic animals for the first time, but it mostly felt squandered due to there not being as much variety as I would have hoped for nor adding more depth to the combat as the game progressed. The first robot tiger thing you fight is basically the peak which is near the very start, not only because there are only a few enemies of the same quality as that but also because there's nothing more added to the combat for the rest of the entire fricking game. Also fighting those stupid robots and literally any human enemy ever so many times sucked.
I got bored of wandering around so I started trying to blitz the story after I wandered into what was definitely supposed to be a story boss fight with one of the giant mech animals because I got a random cutscene in the middle of nowhere after travelling up a mountain. I finished one story mission that ended with one of those flamethrower ancient mechs, then the very next mission started with a fight against the exact same mech but added humans on top and I didn't scrounge my arsenal back to full capacity. I dropped the game there.

First game has far less grinding than 2 no idea how you are wasting your resources. 20 arrows costs something like 5 wood and 1 shards or something like that.
>I don't use half of the games only unique features

2nd game nerfed traps. You can't place 20 of them in one spot and lure enemies into it. They also can see traps in 2, at least during combat.

I explained exactly why I dropped it already. I went through a story boss against a giant robot which used uo pretty much all my shit, walked straight to the next story mission and it staryed with a fight against the exact same robot I just fought plus added humans. Even if you go >story missions restock all your resources
That's not even true in that situation when the game is giving me 2 of the same boss fight back to back and it took everything I could carry full to beat it the first time and there was no restock without me going for the resource grind myself. >arrows are cheap
I was using more than arrows since reading more than 1 post back is too hard for you

That mission gave you at least 10 heavy machine guns anon... >walked straight to the next story mission
Should've went back to base and restocked some gear. I also don't know how you could use all your resources. Literally never happened to me. I always had resources for arrows, you can always initiate knockdowns with hunter bow arrows. First skill you get for hunter bow is knockdown shot in fact.

Snake? You really can't read. I was playing the first Horizon and it was back to back ancient flamethrower robot boss fights. It's better than 1. Just don't try to play it's the same as ZD. Many people try to do that and they fail. Every machine has a dense plating now, ineffective to try to remove it. So just go for weak spots instead. Don't try to go for sacks because most of them carry resources now. Dodge is nerfed and it's better to slide or slideroll now. Weapon balancing is completely different. Hunter bows aren't your best damage dealers anymore etc.
cool, think im gonna download this, install the model replacement mod so I get to play as "beta" because I don't like staring at filthy dreadlocks all day, turn difficulty to max, and then skip all the cutscenes and dialogue so I can engage in robot fighting kino

I dunno man, I really like it. Most photorealistic games goes for dull colors and everything blends to boring real life imitations.
